Give the Barcelona team now to other coaches, they can not help Barcelona to win any title. That club has serious financial health and conflict between players and the board is not small.

This is correct because Barcelona's problem is beyond its debt profile and salaries for players. It's about the dress room conflicts among players and the clique they've formed. Most experienced coaches would have sold off those old and stubborn players immediately Messi left the club. But that is not so as the coach of the side Ronald Koeman is still wasting time on doing what should be the right thing. I wish he gets thrown out of his job.

But how does a team get out of financial debt without generating revenue ??! Barcelona are surely in debt, but that doesn't cover up for Koeman's shortcomings over the past season, the debt didn't just happen over night and the players are aware of that, but if there is a coach with a working system and tactics, then it's just a matter of time to get the revenue up and running again, but with the team playing awfully would you imagine how terrible the tickets amongst other sources of revenue would be faring ??

Whatever and however Barcelona might be willing to get past this phase, it's gotta begin with the squad performance and their zeal to fight and that's sadly not happening with Koeman.

Even as a Barca fan, I didn't let my heart get the better of my head, I would have been happy if Barca had without minding lost points in the pool, but I strongly doubted Barcelona chances of winning, so I instead just went with Atletico knowing I can only win some, lose some, not lose all.

A couple of result were also unexpected for me this week too, Getafe securing a draw against Real Sociedad and Sevilla also losing to Granada.

If anybody saw the results of the first 3 games today, then they're a complete genius because damn, 3-0 and 4-0 home wins, and then a 3-3 draw sandwiched in between? Crazy, crazy, crazy. I see nobody in our pool got even 1 point from Lazio, and absolutely no one got close scores for the other two games!

I can't see the future but I'm backing AC Milan to win away tonight is all.

No one could have seen that coming tbh, at home I would have expected goals at both ends but it was a huge upset...

I went AC Milan as well, but would I be unfair to say Atalanta deserved better from the match? All in all, it was quite entertaining to watch and at least I can also boast of my first winning player of the game round.

I also had a 2-1 win for Liverpool but changed my pick otherwise with just few minutes to kick off, for no apparent reason other than my natural likeness for City. And City most times don't need to be in their best form to win matches like these, and I foresee a draw here.

I'm not doing so well in the pool and dropped a few positions, seem like you just dropped off the 1st position as well...

Was this the last game for Koeman at Barcelona ? We keep hearing this for 2 weeks now and nothing happens because lets be honest , who could replace him right now ? Maybe a top coach from LaLiga that most of us did not hear of him but he is doing a great job on certain teams. Another issue might be that maybe barcelona doesn't have the necessary funds to replace Koeman right now ...this might be possible if he is still coach tomorrow.

Probably, If whatever the President said a few days was supposed to believed but I'm looking to see when team comes battling for a spot in Europe (after being eliminated in the champions league during the group stages), or maybe when the El Classico turn out to be another humiliating game for the history of Barcelona.

It is a though most people from the pool went with Atletico to win, which obviously was an easy decision since only 3 people went other way.

I screw up big time so far with only 1 points so far which looks to be the worst week so far for me.A lot of unexpected results so far and I made an error of predicting five draws but none of which has come true so far at least in the games of today.I hope to forget as soon as possible this week and we have two week vacation because of national teams which we can use to reflect and not rush to put 5 draws in 10 games.

I've only managed to get 4.5 points so far, Man Utd was at it this week again, I had them to win.

I also had Burnley to win, because Norwich have been the weakest team in the past few rounds.

Arsenal vs Brighton had just kickoff, another fixture that I hope to grab some from points from, I went with a 2 - 1 win for Arsenal, but Brighton would likely not make it easy.

"Koeman will stay" said FC Barcelona's president earlier today...

well, at least Barca will be the main favorites to win the europa league this season, so that's something to look forward to, am i right?  Grin

Who else is thinking about making the idiot bet on Barca? I actually saw it at over 5/1 at one point, but now more like 45/10. I might end up pulling the trigger closer to the game, but if they let in a goal first, they'll crumble like they have the last few games.
Barca moneyline is just a donation button to the bookie...imo, if you''re feeling confident about Barca, asian handicap 0 or +0.5 is the way to go

Personally I think that this time Griezmann will destroy us.
i forgot about him...Griezmann worldie to win the game?  Shocked  would love to see it

I wonder for how long Koeman would stay even when it's become obvious that's his tactics or so called plan isn't working. I really don't know what to expect from Barcelona so I'm definitely not coming close to the game (bet wise), I'll just be watching with utter disgust for Koeman being on the sideline.

Atletico have not be up and running with their defensive abilities which had been the core component of their success over the years, I'd expect goals at both ends, except of course if Koeman have other plans.
4108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 02, 2021, 02:23:02 PM
Atalanta Milan is the obvious game for tomorrow but my eyes will not be on Serie A today, far too interesting picks to watch elsewhere in England and Spain.

Sassuolo - Inter should also be a shoo-in if you're in this for BTTS and over 2.5. Agree?

And, anyone watching this thread, don't forget Trofo's predictions challenge. I know I have before!

Atalanta vs Milan would surely a must watch encounter, I've went with Atalanta for some weird reasons, and being the home team.

Sassuolo vs Inter should be a goal fest, BTTS and Over 2.5 should be the safest bet, but I would fancy Inter ML currently @ 1.73 more
4109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 02, 2021, 01:18:16 PM
I'm going to be just flooding myself with footie today, and I've got money on the very first game for the Blues to get the better of Ronaldo and co, but I'll also take Trofo's advice and go against Chelsea today -- but I'm keeping my predictions as is for now.

I'd go Brighton against the Gunners too but can you believe the odds are actually with the home team? This makes sense to bet on Arsenal actually.

Ronaldo is sitting on the bench for the moment, is it just weather that do not suit him, or there is something else, it is to be seen
nevertheless, good for my boys, it will be easier to get something other than zero points today, although there is a bunch of forwards injured and not playing for Everton

not so sure about Chelsea going down today, I think that it would be an routine win 2:0 or 3:0, two loses in a row is enough to bring them back to reality

I would agree with on Chelsea, I really don't see them losing today and it's likely going to be a relatively easy win, Tuchel would have analysed their last games which was epic fail as the team barely made any threat over the two matches and Southampton for one have also been playing nothing but awfully so far.

Everton almost took the lead against Man Utd with about 5 minutes left of play, but VAR to Man Utd's rescue, they is probably just going to end as a 1-1 draw. Starting the game round with another wrong pick towards the pool 😞
4110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 02, 2021, 03:24:17 AM
I think that it is time for Chelsea to finally start winning again. Their next opponent is Southampton tomorrow. And Chelsea are going to play home. Southampton still have no victory in six matches. But they are still a serious opponent for Chelsea. Because Southampton drew with even Manchester City away. Chelsea must prevent such thing from happening. They have a 2-loss streak and they should put an end to this. And they will I suppose.

Chelsea are definitely going to get back to winning ways against Southampton, Southampton are not doing so good in the league and they are yet to record a single win.

Chelsea's last two games have not seen them perform at their very best, losing 2 games in the space of few days so I'd expect a complete turnaround from them, and Southampton looks like a club they'd need to do.
4111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inaki Williams sets record with 203rd consecutive Liga game on: October 01, 2021, 11:01:15 PM
Iņaki Williams of Athletic Club is an impressive lad we need to appreciate here tonight.

The Athletic Bilbao striker has set a new La Liga record today when he played his 203rd consecutive game, having not missed a match since 2016  Shocked

Quote
After equalling the mark of 202 in a row set by Ion Andoni Larranaga with Real Sociedad between 1986 and 1992, Williams broke the record in the home game against Alaves.

His tireless run began on April 20, 2016, in a match against Atletico Madrid at Bilbao's San Mames home.

How impressive!!! 203 consecutive games without injury or resting. Remember how demanding the past 2 seasons have been due to COVID-19 interruptions. Hats off to that lad!!

That's a pretty feat for anyone to attain, and it requires quite a huge amount of luck as well to not have picked up a knock that'd have kept him out for a week or two at least. It will probably take several decades before such record will get broken again, players barely stay for 2-3 season at a club these days and even when they do, it's almost practically to be fit all this long or remain in demand at every occasion.
4112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: September 30, 2021, 10:32:10 PM
interesting results in first batch, Olympiakos trashed Fenerbahce 3:0, Legia won over Leicester, Napoli lost home match with Spartak
it is a good thing that I missed this first batch for betting Smiley

second batch is more interesting from my side, and Betis already scored in Budapest, Lazio is on the lead (Napoli was on the lead early on as well), Dinamo scored in Belgium, I am watching Crvena Zvezda and Ludogorets, could go in any direction

Olympakos are definitely a good team, I knew they could go as far as win the game, but they did in a grand style, away from home. Leicester and Frankfurt both cost me my betslip, after various upsets earlier, I chose to call it a day.

Napoli started well, but the red card from around 30 minutes played, that probably ruined the game for them, but what I found inexcusable is Leicester not being able to get all 3 points.
4113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: September 30, 2021, 04:41:07 PM
I've got Leicester City ML and Frankfurt Over 2.5 goal for the first of fixtures for today..

I'm expecting Leicester to make up for their shortcomings of the opening fixture against Napoli, while Frankfurt vs Antwerp looks like a fixture that'd see some goals scored.

In the first games today, Fenerbahce are going to play a home game against Olympiacos Piraeus. Considering their lineups and recent forms, Fenerbahce seem like much better than their opponent. They have made really good transfers for their attacking line and they are harvesting the benefit of it recently. They are more effective at scoring and this is very crucial for them. They must perform really good to be able to get a decent win against Olympiacos here. Their competitor is not a very tough one actually. But they should still be very careful. I believe that Fenerbahce will win here by one or two goals.

I chose to avoid this game, I would have gone with Over 2.5 goals here instead, but Olympiacos are not an easy opponent if you ask me, it wouldn't be surprising if they should draw or perhaps win the game.

Great call on your Juventus bet,  Chelsea after looking really invisible for some months and now they've lost two in a row to teams one would think they have a slight edge or advantage over. 1 shot on target over their last 180 minutes of football doesn't look good at all imo.

I was able to maintain my spot at the top of the leaderboard, but Halab has impressively got this week's game round. Barcelona would be the peak of my surprises for this week.
4116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 29, 2021, 09:31:26 PM
Benfica humiliated Barcelona who are now like a weak team, Ronald Koemen is not a good coach.

Benfica won 3-0 against Barcelona, I wasn't expecting it. It was a great game for Benfica's team, which showed incredible quality in all sides of the game. The early goal in the game suffered by Barcelona, affected the team a lot. Benfica, on the other hand, had a lot of morale to continue to pressure and hold on to the Spanish team.

Kooman destoryed Barcelona in his time as a coach i think he will be sacked really soon. Didnt see such a big loss from Barcelona to a lower ranked team in a really long time. Also Man Utd won against Villerral with another goal from Ronaldo in the 95th minute

What else could have been more humiliating as a Barcelona fan, losing to Benfica is such a terrible fashion, no sense of urgency whatsoever from the coach.

I'd be very much surprised if Koeman is still incharge after 24 hours, to games played in the Champions League group stage, 0 goals scored, 6 goals conceded, Barcelona is the new Macabbi Tel Aviv 😒
4117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 29, 2021, 07:59:54 PM
bayern 2-0 kiev after 27 minutes
R. Lewand⚽⚽⚽⚽wski is on fire Grin Cool
It looks like it will be a goalscoring party for Bayer vs Dynamo and it is true that R. Lewandowski looks excited and has scored 2 goals and 1 penalty in the first half still going on and Bayer are ahead statistically.

Barcelona trailed 0-1 against Benfica in the first half, whether barcelona will win in the second half or the score becomes a draw.

Koeman just be sacked, that is all I'm asking for freaking real, he's just making a mess of this team... He's really blank headed as a coach, and gerard pique should as just join the coaching or technical staff and stop humiliating the club at every opportunity.

It's a quite night all round other fixtures, except for Bayern which is already known to not be too short of a walk in the park.

~snip

I couldn't get the chance to make a deposit on time to meet up, but I would have gone with Inter ML and probably Ajax with Over 2.5 Goals.

in the end, you were lucky to miss the opportunity, since neither of your picks came true
Inter was miserable against Shakhtar, ended goalless, and Ajax was satisfied with two goals, ended up 2:0, although I expected more goals from Ajax as well

with all games tonight, I will watch match in Leipzig, and probably keep a close eye on Paris, where I do expect City not to lose
City was trying to score the goal from 5 meters out and Paris kept them at bay for the most of the match. I am a bit surprised how easy it was for PSG to win this one. Also expected City to be much better.

What to say about Real loosing to Sherif? Did not watch the whole match but I saw winning goal, really something you don't see every day. Check it out guys it is well worth it. @buwaytress this seems like something you could have caught. We "normal" bettors did not stand a chance today Smiley

I watched Real Madrid's game and I would be honest it was deserved win for the Underdogs for their defensive heroics...

Real Madrid really pounced on them in attack throwing everything they've got at them but the team stood tall until the penalty which in my opinion was quite a harsh as Vinicius went way too easily and not as any result of the supposed contact, Benzema got Real Madrid levelled and I assumed that'd be the breakthrough they needed, however Sheriff were still very much disciplined and the stunner couldn't have come at a better time, really.
4119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 28, 2021, 08:13:05 PM
A really exciting game between PSG and City, Gueye scored a great goal at the beginning of the game but Sterling and Bernardo oth had crossbars in the same attack, with Bernardo missing the impossible. City deserved the draw, although PSG could have increased their lead through Herrera.

Game of the day! It's not been short of entertainment imo, both teams are not in their full speed yet, but are still get the result in their respective domains, Man City would find away back in the 2nd half, even though I tipped PSG to win.

Liverpool cruising against Porto (again), and the biggest shock is happening in Madrid so far - Sheriff is really proving to be a tough opponent. Don't forget that they won the 1st game against Shakhtar and that they are yet to concede a goal.

Liverpool was like the best bet for the day, the odds were just too great to overlook for me... Real Madrid have been all over Sheriff after that goal, and it will be really a miracle for Real Madrid not to get levelled at least, but Sheriff are doing quite a great job defensively and it this kind of situation they can't afford a single mistake, there is a lot of time left to play for.

Wow,great equalizer by Brighton which gave me an exact score for today after failing miserably yesterday by getting 0 points in the two games that were played.I thought that Crystal Palace should have won this as they were playing well, and mostly their goalkeeper had a wonderful night tonight by making a few sensational saves otherwise Brighton would have won the game.Happy to be still first in the standings after 6 rounds now.

Wow! You're increasing the pace than Tomahawk did last season, at least it took him a few weeks before topping the leaderboard and the rest history after that, as he never looked back, it's was a great feat and it's rather way too early to say you'll be able to keep the season trend, but it's a job well done so far..

I had Brighton to the game win 2 - 1, but Palace were the better team in the opening half, while it was Brighton after the break.

I have done 71.5 points in six rounds with an average of 11.9 points per week,if I keep this average until the end of the tournament pretty sure I will end up first. The problem is that it is quite impossible to keep this average during the whole tournament,I aim to get 8-10 points every week and this will keep me in the prize table positions, this is my main objective right now and I don't think about winning the tournament at the moment because it is way to early.

Nice average you've got there, really.. And since there 38 weeks if you can get an average 10 points per week, that's 380 points in total, you'll pretty much end up as the winner...

However,  I'm very certain that there will be weeks that 10 point would be practically impossible except you'll be backing multiple upset.
