6. I see "x" in the ASIC Status

For the ASIC status wise, "x" doesn't necessary means the chip is faulty or failing.  If the hashing power seems to be affected, please check your PSU and wiring and reboot and check the status a few times.  It should go back to an average 168-180 gh/s range per AntMiner.

when you are getting "x" on the ASIC chip status, please turn off the antminer and double check your PSU cables are connected well and restart.  Check the status in about 5 minutes and every 30 minutes for a few hours and see if the "x" are showing up constantly at the same chip or randomly changes or completely disappear.
4102  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: February 17, 2014, 06:43:28 PM
Hello, I am getting only 140 ~ 150  GH/s  for the standard setting:

option 'freq_value'     '4d81'  #350M
option 'chip_freq'      '350'
option 'timeout'        '40'

I tried a few other setting mentioned here but does not help.
How do I trouble shoot this and get the hash rate up?
I updated the firmware, should I also update the cgminer ? I yes, how do I do this. I can't find instructions.

Are you getting 140-150GH from the pool or the miner status?
4103  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 28nm ** 1T ** 900W【jingtian mining rig】 in production !!! on: February 17, 2014, 06:40:25 PM
Escrow?
For pre-order, I means the company does not have the miner in production. Instead they start to sale when the miner is in concept or design or testing phase.

For Jingtian miner, you pay the money and then the company buy the chip, materials and put it in the factory and doing some testing. That is my guess. Or they could estimate the demand and keep producing the miner and this way you pay the money and then the miner is shipped in a few business days. Not sure how they will handle the shipping to the US right now.

So in short, no escrow?

4104  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 28nm ** 1T ** 900W【jingtian mining rig】 in production !!! on: February 17, 2014, 05:53:13 PM
Escrow?
4105  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] TerraMiner IV – 2TH/s (February Batch) -- **** Shares available **** on: February 17, 2014, 04:29:57 PM
so where is your proof, that this is not a scam?

Hashceasar84:

As I have told you in PMs, my intuition is that you are a good guy, with sufficient experience to operate these miners, and you have an order receipt so that is something too.  Presumably, you should have your miners any day now and put to rest the "scam" allegations.

I would love to buy more shares in this GB, but what is stopping me is the possibility that this GB turns out to be a flameout.  I have already been scammed more than once (twice if you count Black Arrow as a scam, which I do at this point).  If you consider for a moment that companies with employees (Butterfly Labs, Black Arrow, etc.) can be scammers, then it is not a far stretch to see how someone like yourself, who starts out with good intentions, might end up flaming out.

I have urged you in PMs to do a few simple things that would put everyone's mind at ease.  These do NOT require escrow of money, which I know is something you are not comfortable doing.  Without rehashing the escrow discussion, I think you should consider taking the following steps which will certainly put my mind at ease.  All of these steps are merely to VERIFY that you are who you say you are, and that you have the orders you said you had in your name, and that you have planned for the future.

(1) Contact a TRUSTED member of this forum and ask them if they will verify you.  Any "hero" member who has multiple positive trust reputation points and no negatives, is probably a good choice.  I suggest SebastianJu as I have dealt with him personally, but there are many others.  You can also look at the list of members who do escrows - NOT as escrow holders but just as a list of trusted members you can contact.  You can probably find someone who is Italian which will eliminate the language barrier.

(2) Provide whatever information that TRUSTED member requests for verification.  He or she will probably ask to see your passport or government ID, utility bill (to verify your address), and the order from Cointerra.  They may ask to be on a call with you to Cointerra to verify the order and order date.

(3) As the trusted member to post in this forum including what they were able to verify and how.

(4) I think you could provide more details on how you are planning to handle the power requirements of the two miners, and the network access.  Each miner will need its own circuit most likley. So have you run independent circuits to a room already?  Are you doing that yourself if its not done already?  How many amps do you have on your panel?  Simple questions for an electrician to answer but it will tell everyone you have thought this out.  Similar questions for network access.  What kind of internet connection do you have (DSL, Cable)?  How are you planning to bring the internet access to the same room as the miners (hard wire cat6?  wireless?)?  Do you have a good firewall with stateful inspection and DDOS prevention (to prevent DDOS and other attacks that have plagued some miners?)

I have asked about the same thing a couple of days back: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=418356.msg5098709#msg5098709

4106  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Building a 24 TeraHash Mining Rig... Any Suppliers? on: February 17, 2014, 04:09:24 PM
If you got the cash then there shouldn't be anything stopping you from acquiring that much hash power.

Have a look in the forums but do make sure to visit this first: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83

How Incan manual put max speed at fan at s1

Why not add another fan at the other side to blow out the hot air the other fan is blowing out and have better and cooler air circulation?

4109  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 17, 2014, 01:04:06 PM
Welcome to new difficulty 3.15 bilion

So?
And a few days from now it will be higher and higher....

That means that newer and faster equipment will come out with a relatively good price.
Apart from that, when the difficulty increases it is obviously harder to acquire bitcoins, they become more and more rare,
and the more rare they are the more they are worth!

So what is your point igorr?
Why do you keep polluting this thread?

4110  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 28nm 1T ASIC new system is good for market? on: February 17, 2014, 12:58:05 PM
When will these miners be available for sale?

Shipping included?

Any chance for a video of your prototype rigs now?

It would be very nice to see the Enigmas at work Smiley

4115  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is mining for a day at Full speed the same as mining for 2 days at half speed? on: February 17, 2014, 09:35:08 AM
As noted above the difficulty change would be the biggest factor.

I can only assume the reason to mine at 1/2 speed would be because of varying electric rates based on time.

Something like that, yeah Wink

Hehe you trying to be sneaky and stealth mine on somebody else's property?  Be warned that is considered theft in most countries unless you have consent.

If you're not stealing, an easier option would be to undervolt the card (if possible) and it should put out a lot less heat since power is determined by the sqaure of the voltage as opposed to linearly with the clock speed.  A drop of 0.1v or 0.2v on the core will put out a lot less heat and then u don't need to spin the fan hard, you just mine about 80-85% of max speed.

Hehe, no I am not trying to be sneaky.
Where I live we have options for electricity tariffs so from around 10 in the evening till 7 in the morning is dirt cheap.
From 7 in the morning till 10 in the evening though is expensive.
So I was kind of looking into that option but not sure yet.

4116  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 17, 2014, 09:22:21 AM
hi all
if anyone needs a coupon code for 0.2btc PM me, i guess it's a transferable ID.
i'll send the code first to a member with let's say activity > 50 for a small tip if it works.

code expires on February 20. Shame they don't have anything in stock yet.

I doubt it's transferable coz you apply it when you place an order.
If no coupons are in your My Coupons section then you have no coupons to apply.

Update on website

Limited units sales.

Shipment will be started on Feb 28th.

BITMAIN always do the fastest shipment !!!

The good news is that with a 2 week delay and no price drop I don't need to hammer the website at 3pm to try and get an order in.

+1
I am out, no chance I am ordering an Ant at that price.
I had the chance to do so before and didn't do it, so I am definitely not going to do ti now.
1.45BTC is a relatively good price for a Ant but not exactly worth it at this point.

PS: It's a shame because I have a 0.2BTC coupon  Sad

Might be worth getting 1 since you have a .2 coupon. 1.25 isn't too bad

Shipping starts Feb 28 which means if I am lucky I get it Mar 04....
