4101  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have "$x" what shoud I buy Tweets... on: March 30, 2021, 02:37:53 PM
One thing you should know is that, businesses or projects needs promotion, a way in which they can meet the general public at anytime all at once. This is the services the social media offers, telegram groups, Facebook, WhatsApp groups, twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and what have you. Little wonder why the bounty system is focused on these medias and communication channels. Still, you must know that its not a guarantee that any is the best or has more potential.
Not even if the tweet is coming from a supposed expert. For all we know, it could be a scammer or from a scammer referencing another scammer on investment packages or redirecting the masses to a scam oriented project or platform. So, you ought to study and device a means of detecting if a thing is legitimate, promising or not and most of all, know when to buy or sell. Otherwise, it never matters what you came in to the market with, it could always be washed up in the waves.
4102  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My first topic on BitcoinTalk on: March 30, 2021, 02:24:03 PM
Perhaps you misunderstood me. I don't consider merit to be an important part of the forum. But I'm surprised that newcomers who come here learn about the merits faster than about the rules themselves or about the topic of the forum in general. Sometimes jokingly, I think the forum for newbies sounds like Merittalk.  Grin
Your right and I must say its like this for most persons, especially while growing in ranks from a very early stage. It becomes more of, what needs to be done to get this and that in ranking up so as to participate in signature campaigns. It makes it seem as though, the signature and avatar campaigns are the only ways to benefit the most form this forum. Yeah, you will but, its not the ultimate. You ought to know what really is bitcoin, altcoin, blockcahin tech etc and how to utilise them because they have a lot to offer. Besides, earning from signature isn't the only investment package that the crypto world offers. There are others and a lot of people have learnt coding, Web designing, signature designing, even art amongst others all motivated by the forum and from being fully involved in forum activities and not just chasing after merits to rank up.

I wouldn't want that to be the case of you and from DdmrDdmr's comment, you might be new to the forum but not in the world of crypto. To this effect, I'll say be rather to learn more and keep an upon mind towards the knowledge that would be pushed than to you from time to time and your free to ask questions when you don't totally agree on or is confused about a point.
4103  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you like Volatility? Debate on: March 29, 2021, 06:54:59 PM
I sure do, lol, i do. It's one of the most distinctive factor of cryptocurrency from the regular fiat currency. Bitcoin or cryptocurrency volatility is very beneficial to crypyo investors as it could at some point determine when its best to enter the market on a buy and sell at another point to get return in investments (ROI). Its really, really usefuand I wonder what would have been the fate of bitcoin or cryptocurrencies without volatility. It would just look like another stable coin and we all know stable coin are used mainly as a store of value. That wouldn't be the fate of bitcoin, nope, never. It won't go down so well on investors and crypto enthusiast.
4104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Made Some Bitcoin WhatsApp stickers on: March 29, 2021, 06:48:31 PM
Thats very thoughtful and creative of you. A fun thing to do indeed and yeah they look cool too. Sadly, it can't be used in the forum as its best suited mainly for social media which bitcointalk is very much not the regular social media platform but then, it would have been more acceptable in the service board and announcement but, memes or emoji for the forum comes with codes.

It would go a long way too in Ann thread designing and campaign service designs. Quoting it could help display them better. Nice one #I accept payments in bitcoin   Cool
4105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I went big into Bitcoin and Ethereum... on: March 29, 2021, 06:33:31 PM
You really did hit the market big and its a good one picking out the 2 coins that has been able to stand and are experiencing significant growth phase in recent time. One thing, I hope you did your careful study of the market before coming in and you've got an investment plan in place for your investment.

Well, on the questions as to if its entirely safe to use coinbase in storing your coins, inwoupd say fairly. Having a 2 FA verification in place is a nice step but, storing coins on exchange is always discouraged as most exchanges uses custodian wallets and as such, your funds aren't entirely yours but that of the exchange because, your not in total control. Its always advisable you store your coins in non custodial wallets, wallets that comes with a private key or seed phrase. Its of a better security than that of an exchange.
4106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency still being discussed in Nigerian Television on: March 29, 2021, 04:11:49 PM
Actually we should thank the Nigerian central bank for giving free publicity for Bitcoin, and making it popular in a country of 200 million people. The same thing has happened in my country (India) as well. Three months back, the government proposed a law, to make ownership of Bitcoin a criminal offense. And the results are there for everyone to see. The number of registered users to various Indian exchanges have just rocketed ever since that announcement was made.
Lol, who would tell them that they are doing it wrong! Its really amazing how a single move to put a stop to something would end up promoting it to new heights. Ways bitcoin archive unpaid or solicited publicity.  I don't know if we need more of these across all countries for the government to come to there sense about decentralisation and how much they are actually helping. I'm just glad the Nigerian government are now taking back there statement on the ban on cryptos and gradually accepting the inevitability of the bitcoin revolution. Lets allow bitcoin to help us build a better world where fait operates the hard copy currency and bitcoin attains its software limitation.

Quote
or if English isn't their primary language, and the survey is conducted in English then that itself can lead to interpretation issues, which might skew the results.
It is why I asked the question about the language in the questionnaire and the main language in Nigeria.
  • If the interviewer ask interviewee with their own translation from English to Nigerian language, it can cause information bias.
  • If the interview collect a group of interviewees, give them questionnaire and let them being free to answer queries in group(s), observer bias will occur.

COMPILATION OF RESULT (in OP) is a draw table and it does not tell a story to readers. It should be presented better for descriptive statistics.
With regards to the question on language, English remains the dominant language in Nigeria as we were colonised by the British who brought English down to us and as such, we had our local mother tongue but, it varied across tribes and in our effort to speak English as the British did, we came up with something called Nigerian pigin but, it remains second to English though, its a very interesting language. It comes up with sounds so pleasing to the ears of those who understands.

The sample size was met with a limitation considering the fact that, the data collection was done during the covid19 complications and as such, access to people and getting peoples corporation was an issue. Though, the research is still subject to more modifications either by me or any concerned crypto enthusiast.

Your critics are welcomed and I need more educational critics to point out a direction bias, limitation that needs to be considered in course of next research. Thanks.

I'm still wondering how someone could be precise on gambling. How someone of us still think otherwise on the possible outcomes of a dice game to follow a pattern due to any precise calculations. If any exists, I'll really love to know, perhaps, it would be the end of my loosing bets.
Ah mean, one won't be scared on stakes any more,  it would be a matter of how many rounds and how much one is out to make in a bet and round on a daily base. Maybe, just maybe the casinos won't shot down or even close your accounts with them because, they can't afford to be loosing.
There is no professionalism to it, its just pure luck and nothing else.
4110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 25, 2021, 09:52:15 PM
Being world Champion has a lot to do with the titles you have secured. Don't get me wrong, there are players that aren't stars or the best of players in there teams bit just manage to be in the better teams and possibly from a better and more competitive country and as such, they get to even be on the bench and win trophies. I'm not looking at that scenario in this contest but then, I'm referring to those players that are actually said to have won the trophy for there teams in this regard. They become world class.
The UCL and the World Cup is the highest trophy any player or team can wish for and should you attain this trophy,  your career in football is more than fulfilled.
4111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Qatar on: March 25, 2021, 09:42:47 PM
This is one time that football takes a whole new level. With every nation backing there nation and the nations other nations with the hope that they eliminate likely opponents that won't give there nations much chance to advance i the league, lol.

The international breaks is really boring but, world Cup is just the singular international sporting activity that can't be over emphasised or people being so over zealous about. I can't wait for it to start. Just hope this whole covid thing don't influence it a lot as most teams and fans would have to take trips to Qatar.
4112  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning! Don't use exchange.blockchain.com on: March 25, 2021, 09:24:03 PM
Having these limitations based on verified accounts through KYC is not entirely unique to this exchange in question. Its the same anywhere. Its a strategy exchanges use to checkmate scam but sadly, legit biycoiners or crypto enthusiast suffers from this policy as well. Coupled with the fact that, not so many people who knows the risk involved in KYC would agree to go with it because, most of this new and newer sites often have a questionable security system. None of this implies that this exchange in question can or should be trusted, I know nothing of them just, stating a fact on why some of these policies are put in place.
It would also be interesting to note that, these policies are can actually be harmful to the exchanges especially when complaints such as yours @OP is left to linger. They ought to review.
4113  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are the best ways to get your hands on Bitcoin without spending thousands? on: March 25, 2021, 09:15:03 PM
Well, I'm sure you already know now as someone who has been into some bitcoin earning activities before and currently must have searched without results for a bitcoin rewarding activity to do without any positive result. Its really surprising to hear that, you started bitcoin from when you were 12yrs of age and had about 500 bitcoin in the past. I can only imagine where that or even half of it would have placed you in the scale of things and the society this day. Thats in the past though.

As for how to earn bitcoin, well, the forum has one. You have to be active in the forum to participate in some of its earning activities like the signature campaigns and periodic contests. You need rank to be able to participate in some while others, you just may not. Though, it would be best for you to at first, focus on learning a few basics till you can stand and discuss bitcoin freely before thinking of earnings.
4114  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin and monetary policy on: March 25, 2021, 07:58:37 PM
One of the options you have available to you to lookup to is the SEC rulings on bitcoin in most of the bitcoin regulated or banned states. They provided the necessary bias for an argument and subjective study. You can make reference to countries like Bangladesh, China, India and of recent, Nigeria though, Nigeria is seeing a way to its legalisation once more.

Its really good to have taken this up for a comparative study as it would review more and more facts as to why bitcoin should be accepted and studied in our world. Do your research with all openness and give the. The best. Goodluck if you believe in such a thing.
4115  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How science works on: March 25, 2021, 07:49:27 PM
Science have come up with the world evolution to conote a gradual or series of change in a thing. Standing on that existing concept and with the fact that, science is always on a precept of trying to know or understand a thing, a law defying another law doesn't really undermines the concepts of science or physics.
The evolution that occurs amongst things simply creates some changes in that thing and compounds that exists. So, there is bound to be new discoveries at some point and like you said @OP, what we know now is mare approximations and its okay. Even religion does this and in such points of doubts, your expected to have faith.
So, its our world and we aren't done with it neither is it done with us.
4116  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Life after Political Power. on: March 25, 2021, 07:35:27 PM
What are you revenging for or upon if I may ask? There is out rightly nothing to revenge over. Should there be any, it could only be done on the individual in question because otherwise, the public suffers and the trend is left to continue. That's if I'm to buy that idea but I feel revenge in itself is wrong and an unworthy act of a gentle man.

Again, not having power gives you a chance to right the wrongs, I wonder how one can do that without power. Its easier when your in power but that's supposing you were more involved with people at the grass roots and know their troubles. Without power  there is really so little to what you can do.
4117  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politics in a country is setback on: March 25, 2021, 07:24:06 PM
A) from your objectives what's the functions of a political leaders?
B) is it good to have a political group in a country?
C) why is that government has turn everything into politic?
D) military regime and Democratic regime in your country via leadership which one do you prefer?
E) is leadership meant for a particular political group.

I'll answer as I see fit and its not absolute, just what I think about it so,
A) The function of a government is to its people,  to ensure that there people gets ways to an easy livelihood. I know its kind of a lot as my statement isn't specific but, should a representative of a constituency act in the way of protecting there people's interest, it would go a long way to archiving this purpose.

B) Yeah, its really good to have political groups within a nation to avoid lots of godfatherism and to ensure variation within the system and provide the people the various requirements to make comparison from.

C) Everything becomes politics and safeguarding political interest of both the party and the individual occupying a political position becomes, they dobt have a central idea based on the people. Its very wrong. That an incoming government will have to abandon the unfinished project of the out going government in a bid to siphon funds through project and ridicule the out going government forgetting that the funds were generated within the national budget. Its really really bad.

D) I'm yet to experience a military regime aside from what I hear so, no comments.

E) Leadership isn't for a group but to whom its fitting and thats where the problem lies because, you never can tell whom it is.
4118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin better than Fiat? on: March 25, 2021, 06:43:12 PM
I think the both are very essential and have an edge above one another in there own way. Bitcoin is limited to online or should I say a virtual usage where as, fiat currency isn't, its more of a physical thing. They both function in the same way but experience different set backs and risks. I can't even imagine a world without fiat, no, not at all. Its going to have a negative impact on bitcoin and I doubt it would be so cherished as we do it this day. So, I won't compare them both and I don't subscribe to the idea that one is better than the other. We need them both in our world very much than we know.

4120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for Nigerian crypto enthusiast on: March 24, 2021, 06:59:00 PM
I'm very much excited about this news even though its far from being a legitimate or confirmed news just yet bit then, its very encouraging, not because the news is about the legalisation of crypto but then, the fact that, the leaders can actually be able to discover a fault in their policy and take steps to correct it starting from accepting the fact that they made an error in the first place is a commendable one. I'm impressed at this attitude. No one wants to be wrong, especially in matters of public affairs and that which could ridicule them but then, ensuring that the right thing is done is a commendable act and as such, I encourage them to keep it up and not just formulate policies but create room for a possible reversal should it be that the policy isn't one that helps. Good 9ne by the Nigerian government.
