4101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happened to the crypto market now? on: December 13, 2021, 03:20:06 PM
And usually, when these signs are showing, there are those people think that the market is about to end.

Those people are the ones who make the price to drop more because they spread fud and with panic inside them, they dump the hodling with them and that makes the market to go red more but we don't expect a complete drop of price like we saw 3 years ago this time can be different from that experience. Again bitcoin price can be a surprise thing to everyone, a simple positive news can turn the reds into green.

There is no doubt that unemployment is on the rise whether in Spain or US, the challenge is how to take care of it and the youth are the worst hit on this. It has affected many youth and yet it rate keeps rising because there are no better effort to provide proper and sufficient employment. In US, the rate is increasing from the past administration to the current.
4103  Economy / Economics / Re: Mortgage are most wrong financial decision you can make on: December 12, 2021, 10:38:30 PM

But I can see where you're getting at, mortgage is expensive but to say that it's a bad investment isn't really a fair statement.

We can not be considering if mortgage is cheap or not but the purpose first which is shelter. We need to remember that when talk of mortgage, we are talking of properties or building that is the focus , so being expensive is not the issue because it looks as if a house is being in mortgage.

However, talking about benefit of mortgage, it has given many pentionals houses that they have settled in.
4104  Economy / Economics / Re: To be financially well and healty you need to find fund manager on: December 12, 2021, 06:02:45 PM

Thats just a another simple ways to become wealthy ...our schools are quite useless they really dont tell you how you should do things proper ways.

This is true that school does not teach how to get rich. So can magnify the inbuilt knowledge in someone and get you ready to utilize what nature has deposited in you.

look for those who knows about finances as instutional rules wall street and can do good portfolio management and who knows about risk managent.
Look for those contacts give them funds to manage or get financial advice and you will see your wealth situation will going better step by step.

I think that risk management is not only when you reduce your risk but also entails diversification of our investment. So looking for advise on investment diversification is part of the knowledge we need. Buying coins and hodling isn't just investment but also staking our investment help us receive profit from different angle.
4105  Economy / Economics / Re: The Danger of Local Economy. on: December 12, 2021, 04:18:27 PM

Bitcoin is taking over the internet for online transaction, therefore, most of  the local currencies in the developing Nations are affected.. because developing Nations are not inclined in the e-currency transaction

No bitcoin is never the reason that local currency of developing nations are suffering. Such countries have not kept to the real indices of building economy that will help there currency. It is the system of the country and the ways that they are corrupt determines the economic progress. For example if a country is an exporting country it will help her foreign exchange.

Can Bitcoin really weaken the Local Currencies in the Developing Nations?

Bitcoin has no business with devaluing any country's currency or that of developing countries. Any country whose country is falling is not bitcoin fault but leadership issue.

4108  Economy / Economics / Re: A majority of Gen Z investors think crypto will make them millionaires on: December 09, 2021, 09:12:41 AM

or, what is even worse, everyone will be a millionaire and the the world will go into an hyperinflation until everyone is again... poor. Smiley

You see, in Spanish, Million is similar to "millon" and means the same, however "aire" means air. So, Millionaire would be a million ... airs.

Lol that is not going to happen that everyone becomes rich or everyone becomes poor  Grin

There must be the rich and the poor and that depends on destiny and the plan or road an individual follow.

In the bible story, there are rich and the poor and that is why it made reference to the rich man and Lazarus who was seen as the less privileged. Abraham too was regarded as a very rich man. So in today's world, our attitude towards our investment and idea is key because in few years time, the whole prices of coins won't stay on same level. Investing wisely is important .

4110  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as enforcer of responsibility on: December 06, 2021, 04:02:21 PM

By giving individuals a choice to own an asset that is not printed, it generates a competition with all currencies across the world. Until a few years back, the people living in countries that had irresponsible monetary policies had to either live with it or try to exchange, many times in the black market, their local currency for USD or perhaps Euro at whatever the rate was in the street.

To this end I don't know if bitcoin has played the part of limiting direct exchange of fiat for dollar, pounds or euro and this exchange process is the big reason that so many less technical developed countries have found theirselves in a hyper inflation which has affected almost every aspect of the economy cascading down the family life and causing hardship since GDP has dropped.

If there were ways that every aspect of financial transactions can be done by choice through direct payment with bitcoin to countries including processing traveling documents and visa, tickets then the burden on fiat exchange would reduce and that will help the local currency to appreciate. The process of  purchase of currency for travels, export are really killing many economies.
4111  Economy / Economics / Re: Transforming skill to profit. on: December 04, 2021, 05:48:32 PM

After acquiring a skill, truth is if there is no platform for you to practice and offer your services and also make profit, you may become less interested and efficient with the skill you learnt and it may soon be forgotten by you.

It is not arguable that skills are potential money if that is what you want to say because when you learn a skill, you can provide for your self, take care of other people by extension. But it is potential money if you make yourself relevant with it and not be lazy to upgrade yourself and grow with the current waves of the line of skill you have acquired including technological. As you see things are changing and someone who only has old fashion of doing things in his field of skill will end up being starved because naturally they will be out of demand, market and be swallowed by those who have gone miles away from the old ways. The point therefore is learning a skill is money waiting to be converted if willing to follow the current process of growth. Almost every old ways have changed and new styles, designs and patterns keep coming up. Just one example, the electronics of today are not same with those 10 years back etc

In another light I don't agree that you can forget what you have learnt when you don't put them in use, all you need is little brush up, upgrade and you are up and running. Like it is said, that an old woman does not forget the dance steps she was used to when young. To this end you can see her trying to make such moves when the rhythm comes  Grin Grin

4115  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Political conspiracy against bitcoin on: November 27, 2021, 05:06:09 AM

It is left to you, if you want anonymity, you can make use of noncustodial wallets and exchanges.

It is just all running around control yes the government is seeking control of everything done, they want to bring it to their nose to sniff and give verdict to it.  They have brought out fiat as legal tender that they support and identify based on local cusmotology and make up but the people now is seeking a choice of an independent money that will give freedom, anonymous usage and hodling that is decentralised , this is the issue. Like you said, the choice still belongs to the people.
4116  Economy / Economics / Re: People tend not to move on: November 21, 2021, 06:32:47 AM
I don't think this is very correct because people have been moving from beginning of the world existence. From the bible story, the part of the Israelites moved to Egypt either for safety or what we call greener pastures until a time that they moved back to Israel.

Also the slave trade stories were movement for expansion,  expidition and other purposes that were either positive or negative outcome but led to human integration and culture studies. Still today humans are moving far from country home to other places either for education, greener pastures, sporting activities. Yes for soccer we know people move to other countries, get signed up to continent far from theirs, Messi for example is from Argentina and has been in Spain with Barcelona for years and now in France with PSG. Christiano Ronaldo too
Dr Okonjo-Iweala is from Nigeria but has lived outside Nigeria for most of her life and leading the World Trade Organisation as director, moreso raising her children outside Nigeria and so many others just to mention few but known cases and as people move, they inter marry and naturalize there. So people move very well IMO.

Reading this, I could not help but think that people also "don't move" in monetary terms. They are born in a certain region and they do not think that their money might very well better in some other form (e.g. bitcoin).

Regarding monetary movement, people are also leaving the total commitment to traditional financial system and traditional economy. The investment in bitcoin is growing and can't be compared to 2017 at least. The economic has gone digital likewise the thinking and thought structure of the government and that is why because they can not beat them, they have joined the modern structure with CBDC
4117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it the end of crypto? on: November 20, 2021, 08:00:54 PM
ALL Crypto is crashing. What happened to crypto? Is it the end of crypto?

I won't be surprised with such thread. This type flood the forum whenever btc dip and splashes some red on altcoins but it is a normal way with the cryptocurrency market.

The reason for such is during the bull , some gainers go out from the market and that leads to more dip but gradually it recovers. What you have to know about such time is that it is time that shit coins get exposed because they won't survive the heat to come back into the market.

Another point for you to know is that it is investment time. When there is dip, you look for a buying bottom and do your investment and not to panick.
4118  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banks and the government. on: November 20, 2021, 02:17:57 PM

I guess what they do is very much normal and this happens in another country where there are many crypto holders and investors.

No it is not normal or to say very normal. How can it be normal to ban people trying to survive legitimately. To start with too, the world is growing and becoming a global village, the digital space and cryptocreency is taking the financial system to another level and a country is trying to pull her growth down and decreasing her GDP because when people create wealth from cryptocurrency they can support their families, give aids financial support for smaller business owners in the family .

Nigeria is not anti progress (or an Islamic country) if not this recent attitude from the present administration that is running a second term of 4 years, the government has been on rampage with anything to do with public benefit including the ban on Twitter while the minister was caught using VPN to access same twitter they ban. This is just a  government that is not progressive with the youths, social amenities, jobs and security are lacking so what is the option ?

It is not normal to do that while some countries are adopting bitcoin already. And looking at the government decision with keen thought, almost all Islamic countries are not friendly with cryptocurrency, social media and public freedom.
We can't say what all the effort of this government is anyway.
4119  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we in a bear trap? on: November 20, 2021, 09:45:05 AM

But, how about some investors like microstrategy that do not sell and not selling their bitcoin holding, it is just because they know that no matter the retracement, bitcoin price will increase and reach all-time-high. That is just what is going to happen. That is why many investors are not bothered about the falling price but have more long term foresight which is all-time-high.

These are categories of investors and whales who have seen the long term future of bitcoin that the price will eventually increase greater than present price. The institutional hodlers keep their money in bitcoin believing on it volatility. Halving is coming again and we know it has a strong bull history with bitcoin and the effect on price is felt and changes starts to come after few months. The level of digital growth and platforms including bitcoin to payment structure, there is no way the population of bitcoin user will not keep increasing and demand jumping from what it is and the price growing too.
4120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Still believe in coins or tokens that keep dropping in price? on: November 20, 2021, 07:29:31 AM
If you have a plan to keep a coin for a year, don't change your plan after a week.
I do not know what was your investment decision at this point, but for the future, remember that you do not invest when a coin reaches its ATH. It's always better to wait for the price to drop before buying.
That's right, investing in any coin when ATH has already occurred is a very wrong choice, because if you can get it at a lower price when the decline occurs, why buy at the ATH price where it just takes patience to wait, I agree with what you say this.

How do you guys mean here. At any point, a coin already has an ATH. So what you mean by not buying. Example with doge at $0.02 sometime ago was its ATH and Elon musk hyped the coin and it started growing to beat previous ATH and got another ATH ,kept taking out old ATH until it got to the current ATH. Again with other coins and bitcoin too before current ATH was previously at $63k but went above that to $67k , that is difference of $4k and that's some money that was made by some investors. Grin
