4121  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should DT members tag accounts that evade the ban? on: November 14, 2020, 03:20:53 PM
I agree with @suchmoon. But in some cases, I had used a red tag to ban evaders if they were involved with some shady activities. Although we shouldn't handle ban evader, but I will not consider it is a trust abuse. But admin doesn't like to mix the trust system and forum moderation. Rather, you may raise a case on the meta with clear explanations, hope moderators will handle them if they think it's reasonable. So I can say, you may use a tag for specific cases, not for all cases.

4124  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paypal opening up app crypto users on: November 12, 2020, 07:14:34 PM
What's new except increase the buy limits? This is old news that PayPal allowed its US users to buy Bitcoin and hold on there. Definitely, this is a positive move from PayPal, and I think they have taken a real time decision. I am just wondering if there is still a chargeback issue for Bitcoin that would hit the goal of Bitcoin. PayPal isn't just adopting Bitcoin, but also they are promoting among crypto users. Since they have a good reputation so some peoples would believe that invest in Bitcoin is somehow worth now.

It would be a more positive move if PayPal allows its users to broadcast transactions in the blockchain. I don't know why they limit it to an off-chain transaction that has been discouraging me hold bitcoin in PayPal.
4125  Economy / Reputation / Re: Users use sig HEX. on: November 12, 2020, 06:57:50 PM
do we need to act, i am ready.
What is on your mind? Are you wondering to tag the participants? I have remembered when some of the Yobit participants had been promoting the Ponzi scheme then some of DT members have left neutral feedback on their profile. So I think if you like then you may do the same as well. If in case they apply on some other campaign then campaign managers would notice about their Hex promotions and decide on their acceptance.

I will appreciate other DT member's opinions.
4126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My journey from a default full member to achieved Senior member. on: November 12, 2020, 04:11:49 PM
Congrats on your achievement! Really it wasn't an easy task. However, you are another example that rank up is possible by contributions. Good to see that you have realized about bounty scams and backed to the bitcoin. I have started my journey with zero merits on the forum and achieve Legendary rank eventually. I hope you could achieve it as well. Just keep continuing your contributions to the forum.

Best of luck....
4127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH fork on Nov 15..is it true? on: November 11, 2020, 04:14:18 PM
Yes, most likely it's going to happen. You may read more explanations on Announcement Regarding the Upcoming Bitcoin Cash Hard Fork. So just be careful with your existing BCH if you are holding. Keep them in an appropriate wallet that you have control over private keys. Also, be careful from pump dump games if you are expecting something.
4128  Economy / Gambling / Re: BGame.io [ 0% House Edge ] - Supports 26 Currencies - 12 Popular Games 🔴🟠🟡🟢 on: November 11, 2020, 04:04:44 PM
Welcome to the forum and gambling world as well. It seems many users already point you something to improve your site. Overall site design isn't bad, but you need to be more professional, to be honest. For example, before you make an official announcement anywhere including the forum you should complete your site from your end. I have tried to live chat which is still under construction, there are many more. Also, I will suggest being more professional with your announcement thread as well as suggested by other users since you are from the team.

Best of luck...
4129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn If im beginner on: November 11, 2020, 03:47:33 PM
Older members talking Only work hard and blahhh.. Blahh bs.
Yes, I have to admit that older members talking about this kind of staff. But do you know why? It's because older members are more experienced than you on the forum. They know the reality of cryptocurrency worlds, and they know there is not any shortcut way to earn money. Most probably you will be lost your time and money if you look for a shortcut.

There are many ways to earn money from the forum, you have to spend your time here to find a good opportunity. If you do not have any skill then you should learn something that will help you to earn money. Before earn you should learn either it's on cryptocurrency or in real life.
4130  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Question about sign message. on: November 11, 2020, 02:53:44 PM
Another question though, if you can derive multiple address types from the same private key, would it cause a loss of funds if you try to spend from a derived address that doesn’t have your inputs? Or would those derived addresses have a zero balance attached to them, as if they were completely different addresses?
I have tried to sign a message from Nested SegWit address starting with '3', and there are fund and transaction history as well. But the derived Legacy address from the same private key was with ZERO balance, and there was no transaction history. Means you can only spend unspent transaction from your address and there is no chance of losing your funds from other address. How can you spend if you don't have any input in the address?

I will highly discourage to do not apply those are a regular poster of altcoin related board, it will waste both of our time.

4134  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Question about sign message. on: November 10, 2020, 04:04:12 AM
Thanks, everyone for your contribution to this thread. I have got my answer. That means the random address belongs to my private key which has been used to sign a message. There wasn't any major issue or problems. But I was just curious to know the address which has been showing on brain wallet that belongs to whom.

Hope I will try to derive the address to check it practically. Of course not from Ledger. Perhaps I will use some random new private keys.

I will keep this thread open, so others would know about it and contribute to the discussion.
4135  Economy / Reputation / Re: dkbit98 is Abusing DT power on: November 10, 2020, 03:58:08 AM
I am part of the team, the website got hacked and got out of control, team had to close it and because there wasn't safu, we lost some money to the hacker, well even big exchanges got hack, and where ever there is fund there is a hacker, after all that we found out it's useless to keep it on and team collapsed.
Who will believe in this story? At least I am not one of them who believes that story. Any online website would be hacked, but doesn't mean you have to skip without explanations if you are honest with your business. You should provide appropriate evidence according to your claim to your users. Your explanation after caught and after 3 years isn't appropriate. Yes, I have to admit that even reputed exchange has been hacked, but they simply not skip. They try to recover their user's funds. I can't believe a team should collapse just for a single hack.
4136  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Question about sign message. on: November 09, 2020, 04:42:39 PM
Apologies for the noob question Sad. I am not a tech guy. As far as I know, we can't sign a message from SegWit address. Even we can sign its verifiable only on the same platform. For example, if sign messages from Electrum, then it's only verifiable from Electrum. We can't verify it online.

Now the question is, I had signed a message from my Ledger SegWit address via Electrum. It was verified on Electrum only. When I had been tried to verify from the Brain wallet, it wasn't verified. No matter signature wasn't verified from the same address I had used for sign message. The concern is that the signature verified from some other Legacy address that doesn't belong to my wallet. There is a random address that I am not familiar with. Even I have searched it on my Legacy address list belong to the same wallet (Ledger). I have used Electrum to create a Legacy address on the Ledger device.

So that random Legacy address belongs to whom? Since I don't have access to its private key, then how its verifiable to the  Brain wallet?
4137  Economy / Reputation / Re: dkbit98 is Abusing DT power on: November 09, 2020, 04:24:31 PM
I am responding here since luckyflop is in one of my campaigns. Just gave him a chance since feedback was neutral. But it seems now feedback becomes red and I think it's quite reasonable. luckyflop's explanation isn't much clear to me. So according to my campaign rules if someone gets negative feedback from DT1/DT2 during the campaign will be removed without payment.

I am giving 24 hours to luckyflop to remove his feedback by convincing dkbit98. Otherwise I am forced to remove luckyflop from my campaign.
4138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit found me on: November 09, 2020, 03:04:01 PM
Merit post! Same here, I was excited too when I have received my first merit. Merit sending on the post, doesn't matter who are you? If you make at least a good post then you might get merits. I don't know what is your goal to join this forum, but no doubts you would get earn a lot of merits by your contributions.

Yes, it's quite hard to earn merit nowadays if you aren't a good poster. But I have a suggestion for you, don't regret it if you don't receive the merits of your good post. Because it would possible someone hadn't noticed your post who are capable to send merits. Just continue your contributions you will get a return from the community.
4139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Electrum mnemonic be imported into Morden wallets? on: November 09, 2020, 07:22:32 AM
You may take a look at this thread to find a few iOS wallets : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0. Or you may take a look at the Bitcoin community website: https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/mobile/ios/?platform=ios&step=5

There are no much-trusted wallets for iOS. But since BRD listed on the Bitcoin.org site means you might use it. Funds will be in your control, and no third party is here over control. I haven't used it, so, please do your own diligence and research more.
4140  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Fake Ledger site on: November 08, 2020, 04:27:59 PM
Whoever has been using Ledger device I think they have enough knowledge to avoid such a phishing attempt. What is the point of using a hardware wallet if we input our mnemonic phrases online? Doesn't matter it's a phishing site or an original site, entering mnemonic phrases means you are throwing yourself at risk.

Anyway, thanks for sharing with the community. Hope no one has fallen into this trap, and others would learn from this post.
