Good luck on your pick @stadus... but it's not only the Bucks who have inconsistency, even the Celtics are also experiencing some big losses due to their inconsistency. I believe Giannis own the Celtics, so I think it's good to put some player props too for Giannis as he could get a double double here.

Yeah, You have a valid point, the Celtics are not a reliable team as well, the only good thing is that over the few games Tatum seemed to have found his rhythm back, and tonight's game might depend on good Tatum is. Bucks as well aren't the same team without Middleton, no doubt, but their win over the Knicks shows that they can find a way around it even in difficult situations.

I don't have a clear opinion on the fixture, but @stadus is usually unbiased with his picks, so I'll be going with him on the Celtics ML

scotland can also take a big step towards qatar with an away win in the republic of moldova.
The match should be kickoff in a few minutes, Scotland will secure second spot if they win the game and they easily should, no doubt.

Moldova have conceded 24 goals so far, so I don't think they will be of much difficulty to Scotland who needs the win.

I have my bet on Scotland -1.5 Handicap @ 1.98

I generally have money on the Scots but since I'm staying away from regular 1x2 picks, I've done a special on 4 favourites tonight to score in both halves (Scotland, England, Poland, Italy). The Swiss will be the one figured to be the hardest of them all, so I should only be worried about Italy, but at 18/1 I thought it the bet was well worth taking. For once I don't need either of them to win, just to score ha!

I won my bet, Scotland won the game by 2 goals to Nil, but Moldova had a great chance to score from the penalty spot in the 81st minute, fortunately for me, the taker missed the penalty.

Scotland also scored in both halves so your bet is still on good track and I wish good luck with the rest of the teams, Italy indeed look like the one to be worried about, but keep the fingers crossed, you never know.

Today's main game is Italy - Switzerland without any doubts. Direct fight for 1st place in group. Here I'm backing Italy to win and qualify to World Cup directly.
According to bookmakers, Austria is favorites against Israel, but I'm not sure about it. In last game Israel won big - 5:2, so, probably I'll skip this game or put over 2.5.
Andorra - Poland and Denmark - Faroe Islands, prepare for many goals. Maybe not 9 like yesterday, but I think we can see 5 or 6 goals in these games.
Hungary - San Marino is also similar game, but I'm not sure that Hungary is able to score so many goals. Same about Scotland against Moldova.

I wonder why the odds of Italy winning are so low:
1,57- 3,95 - 5,80
Italy needs this victory and despite the relatively strong performance of the Swiss national team in this match is likely to win. The rest of the matches look much less competitive than this one, I think everyone who will not watch their national team today will watch this match.

I don't think the odds for Italy to win is too low, given the importance of the fixture. Italy and Switzerland are on equal points and Italy would need at least a draw here and to match Switzerland's result in the last game with a better or not more than one goal difference from that of Switzerland's. I'd expect Italy to go all out for a win tonight rather than settling for a draw.

Denmark will also be hoping to continue their qualifiers journey without conceding a goal, and it seems like an achievable feat looking at how far they've come, I will be having a bet on them Win To Nil against Faroe Island tonight, It looks as though they might not play to their fullest since they secured the top spot of their group and the coach might want to give playing time to some other guys, but I don't think he'll want to compromise their defensive line even if he does give some other players playing time.

Here's my pick.

Game: Boston vs Raptors.

I was looking at the stats and I was surprised that Boston has not won a game at home, they are 0-3 so far. Therefore I like to back them tonight to win against the Raptors who are 4-0 on the road. I expect an effort of Boston to get their first home win and hopefully, they'll cover the spread.

Bet : BOSTON -3

Got another big win again, and here's my early pick.

Game : Indiana Pacers vs Utah Jazz.

Jazz still undefeated at home but I think +9 handicap for the Pacers is too much. This is the 4th road game of the Pacers, of the last 3, they only won 1 game but two of their loses are by 3 points and 4 points only, so +9 is a value for me therefore I'm taking the Pacers here and probably a little bet on the ML.

Good luck!

Congratulations, I on the other hand have lost my last two bets  Lips sealed

I'm tailing you on the Indiana Pacers bet, the line has moved and it is currently +10.5 and I'll be taking that.

Congratulations, I'm finally able to break my losing streak.

Indiana Pacers had an intention from the get-go, and they stuck to it. They didn't give Utah Jazz the chance to get back ahead, I wish I had put some money on the ML.

In other games, I'm really surprised that Sweden's losing away to Georgia. If they don't win, that will be a big boost for Spain before their game tonight.

That's so far the upset of the day, I never saw that coming.

Spain are barely able to take full advantage of Sweden losing too, they're only up by a goal against Greece, but if they're secure the win (10 mins plus added time left), that would put Sweden in a really bad spot, as they will have to win the last game against Spain to regain top spot.

ten points per round on average should be enough for complete win in the end, it is very good average - and gives around 380 points in the end - so we are early, and everything can change (113 points in 11 rounds is just above needed (IMO) 10 points/round for a total win)

Scoring 10 points per round isn't that easy, but thanks to the couple of guys in our pool we know it's possible. I'm planning on scoring around 10 pts each round in the future. After all I scored 9.5 points in the very first round. Why can't I repeat it? Smiley

10 points per round, possible? yes, but probable, No! It's easier to get an average of 10 points per round all season, but getting up to 10 points every other week is almost impossible tbvh, and the past weeks have been a clear reflection of that.

Fair play to Gerrard he didn't exactly pick the easiest team to manage in the Premier League. I'm still undecided whether I'd like him at Liverpool when Klopp leaves in 2024. I'd much rather Klopp sign on for longer no matter the options obviously, but if there's better options than Gerrard out there I'd like to go for them instead. Gerrard has taken the right step though, if he can prove himself in the Premier League, especially with a recovering Aston Villa that makes me optimistic post Klopp.

On the flip side, this could go wrong, and Gerrard might fall victim to the Lampard treatment. Though, I think he has mitigated that by not joining a bigger team, and starting with smaller steps. Unlike Arteta, and Frank Lamaprd who immediately joined their previous clubs they played for. I'm aware that Gerrard managed Rangers with great success, but I think the Premier League is quite a leap, and Aston Villa will be a tremendous undertaking as I think they've looked lack luster ever since losing Grealish to Manchester City.

Honestly Gerrard deserves a much better them then Aston Villa,he had an amazing results with Rangers winning them their first title after so many years.I hope one day he coaches Liverpool because he deserves it currently.Hopefully with Aston Villa he dosent terrible results but it will be a big challenge for him to coach them

I agree with Welsh on that, Gerrard is faced with a much more difficult task than he had at Rangers, regardless of how successful he spell was over there. It would have been a different case if he were to be at Liverpool, even though the expectation would have been very much higher, I'm very sure he would have been at home.
4129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 10, 2021, 09:42:11 PM
Xavi already has a very good experience in Qatar, Xavi is also able to bring Al Sadd to the top of the standings, I am optimistic about the abilities he has, and is assisted by their experienced staff, I am very optimistic that Xavi is able to bring Barcelona back to the top of the standings, But everyone has to be patient and give Xavi a little space to build a team that Europe is afraid of..

don't forget that the level of clubs in Qatar is much lower than is spanish La Liga. Xavi doesn't have necessary experience as a coach in top leagues so I won't be so optimistic.

Qatar is indeed a much lower league than La Liga, I'd agree but I don't think that would affect Xavi's performance, I'm not entirely optimistic, but I don't think Barcelona would be any worse under Xavi's watch than they were under Koeman's.

The fans have liked the fact Barcelona signed Xavi, and it would be the first step towards a better future.

^Morris brothers dirty plays should also be given some attention. It's not like this is the first time they hurt somebody or try to hurt them using cheap shots. That's an intentional foul but Morris went overboard using his elbow and knees. The same goes for Jokic fighting back, he could just push Morris first and let him fight face to face.
Nuggets will be up to Pacers today. I don't know how they can put a good game without their star and then MPJ is still out too.

But my bets will not be for them. I know the Nets will try to bounce back after a bad defeat against the Bulls. They had their rest too.
Nets -6.5 vs Magic Over 207.5. Good luck to everyone.

Yeah there isn't many games I like today but I do like the Nets.  I see them at -9 though where did you get them at -6.5?  The other game I like is golden state against the Wolves at -7.  Gotta ride the steph wave especially when they are home.  Funny to see Lakers giving 4 at home to the heat.  Looks like the lines finally caught up with reality.

The Brooklyn Nets is also offered at -9.5 on the Sportsbet, so I guess the he wasn't talking about the line, but rather the spread he's betting on and Nets -6.5 is offered @ 1.50 on Sportsbet.

I like the Boston Celtics vs Toronto Raptors matchup, and that's what I will be watching first today but I'm not quite sure on who to bet on, so I'll be going with the Over 206.5 @ 1.97, I believe the Raptors would make it happen.

Tough lines today I might take a game or 2 but definately tough.  Jazz giving 12.5 on the road on a second night of a back to back.  I might actually take Orlando here.  I do like golden state -13 at home against Houston.  I think they route Houston at home.  And even though I'm a knicks fan giving 7.5 at home against Cleveland seems like a lot.  Cleveland has been tough all year.  Might take the cavs, and then hit the Knicks on a ML bet and try to nail the middle.

Hit the cavs and pushed the gs game.

As far as tonight I know the Knicks are on the back end of a back to back, but embid just popped out for testing positive to covid.  Knicks -2 I really like here.  Don't know if the sixers have enough fire power to keep up with the Knicks.  I'm taking the Knicks and taking the under on the game, I expect a sloppy game tonight out of both teams.

Got a trifecta.  First knicks with another win!  Hit the spread and the over was 213, ended up 10-15 under the line.  Tonight its one game (at least for nba) that I like.  Jazz -8.5 at home playing the Hawks who are on game 2 of a road back to back.  This game could end up real ugly.  I kinda like the under on this one too buy just taking a stab at the line at 8.5.  Good luck to everyone!

I will tail you on this.

I like the Utah Jazz pick and the line is currently at -7.5, I would have love to put a few on the Over 222.5 too, but the fact the both teams can choose to get defensive at will is making me have second thoughts.

Curry still doing his thing and the GSW strength in numbers, what a performance from him tbh, it's totally the Curry we always wanted to see.

By the way, I think Markieff deserves that shouldered from Jokic, I mean he shouldn't have reacted it that way when there's no clearly foul when  Jokic got that ball, he should have his cool. Jokic as far as I can see played a good defense there and Markieff after that shove looks like was just acting, any thoughts? That was hilarious from Jimmy Butler that "Let's fight in the back".

I think there is absolutely no place for what Jokic did, with Markieff having his back turned and all, it could have been way worse and Morris could have suffered a more serious injury looking at the weight of Jokic and Morris being literally unaware of what was coming. Jokic will most likely be suspended for multiple games, I think.

4134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 08, 2021, 10:36:46 PM
I hate to be the odd guy, especially if I end up being wrong, but regardless I wouldn't be on the Chicago Bulls bandwagon tonight and my reason being their back to back losses against the 76ers, and the second game being one which they were around -4.5 favorites, if I'm not mistaken. Back to back game could mean fatigue for the Nets, I agree but could also help a team maintain certain momentum, imo.

I'm not sure if my argument is valid one, or I'm just having a clouded bias, so I'll be going with the Over 216.5 instead and hope everybody can win.

GL!
4135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 08, 2021, 02:32:43 AM
Looks like the GSW will go for the best record in the NBA this season as they leading the game today against the Houston Rockets. This is how they should be when their star players are healthy and still they're lack of Klay Thompson won't hinder them to be the best in the league today.

Warriors are really good this season, tbvh... but I wouldn't place a bet even if they're offered at 5-8 Odds to be the best in the regular season, there is a lot more too the season than the first 10 games or thereabout, can they afford to lose a couple of starters to injury and be able to hold out games ?

If they are able to keep their starters healthy for 75% of the season, then maybe they can make the top 3 best team, imo.
4136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 08, 2021, 01:57:31 AM
My pick for tonight's game.

game: Jazz vs Magic.

Magic is 2-8 this season with no home win yet, so I don't trust them to win against the Jazz that are bound to bounce back tonight.
Mitchell had some pretty good game against the Heat and I hope he won't get tried and dominate the Magic for a win, I'm also thinking that maybe Clarkson would explode in this game after a bad game against the Heat.

Therefore my pick is Jazz -12.

The Jazz were caught cold out napping in the first and fourth quarter and Magic really made them pay!

Cole Anthony was in a beast mode today, with season-high 33 points, 5 3pts at 50% and 65% FG rate...

About the Michael Porter Jr. issue. It's the backache that he had been dealing with since the last playoffs and I think it's coming back. Perhaps, he is not fully healed yet and he is trying to force it. He should think about taking a long rest to avoid worst-case scenarios.

The Toronto Raptors versus the Brooklyn Nets line looks inviting. Is it a trap or is it a steal? I'd go for a steal and bet with the Nets.
Nets -3.5. Over 207.5. Injury reports - Same. Kyrie Irving. I hope he already took the vaccine. If the brand that will be used takes 2 doses, he will be resting for another 3 weeks.

That game looks wierd to me.  And Toronto is tough.  For me I actually like the over 207.5 on that game and just cheer on both offenses.  Nets only beat Detroit by 6 on the road.  Winning multiple road games is tough.  Good luck with your bet.

The Over 207.5 was an effortless hit, If you had bet on it then Congratulations...  I guess Siakam returning for the Raptors is what made the line at -3.5 for Nets who were only Irving (significantly) as it has been all season long, but that was a good bet imo.
4137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 07, 2021, 08:34:46 PM
So far, Inter look much stronger than Milan since they have managed to score one goal each for themselves and their opponent, and failed to score a penalty! Grin Milan can't get through to the other side's goal yet... The stakes are high for either team to win... If I was hoping for a Milan win before, now I think Inter will win... Maybe I can try to bet on them winning with odds of 2.4...

It's been a really intensive game,  36 minutes gone already.. IMO, it's been quite an even game so far and could easily still swing either way, AC Milan have more attacking approach but are not smart defensively when caught on the break which is why they conceded the two penalties which well worthy.

Great game so far btw.
4138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 07, 2021, 06:15:38 PM
West Ham United face Liverpool in a match i see to be the real test for the two, especially that these are among the inform terms of the league. With this game being hosted by the hammers this certainly will be interesting to watch.....

btw lineups are in and both teams have brought in the big guns for the battle of the 3 points.....

West Ham: Fabianski, Johnson, Ogbonna, Zouma, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek, Bowen, Benrahma, Fornals; Antonio.
Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konaté, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Henderson, Salah, Jota, Mané.

my prediction West Ham United 1-1 Liverpool
West Ham United were leading 1-0 through an Alisson own goal in the 4th minute and a foul was suspected but the referee declared a goal.
It will be a very interesting game as both want 3 points, and Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 25 matches in all competitions and I am sure tonight Liverpool will win the game by a score of 1-2.
Allison made the mistake and Arnold fixed it Cheesy Liverpool really dominated the match and they definitely want to reclaim the top spot, I'm also very sure the final score will be 2 -1 (definitely Liverpool will score another goal in this second half).

Liverpool would need to find 2 goals within the last 13 minutes now to earn a point here at West Ham.

Liverpool conceded 2 goals in less than 7 minutes of numerous attacks from West Ham, I think Allison can partly be blamed for these goals, he doesn't seem to be at his best tonight imo. All in big kudos to West Ham, they're playing with great intent.

Got any thoughts 76ers vs Bulls ? Philly currently at 2.49 ML

Although Philly got the win on their first meeting against the Bulls just a few days ago, there are things that changed.

The 2 starters of Philly, Furkan Korkmaz and Matisse Thybulle, who plays a good role in why they won against the Bulls during their first meeting, are listed as questionable and out respectively. Thybulle is the one who takes Lavigne limiting his good shooting percentage. However, despite that, Lavigne still managed to gather 27 points. Who will guard him now the same way as Thybulle did? While Sixers is having a good record on a road game, Chicago Bulls on the other hand also has a good record playing at home.

Only a few players left on the Sixers roster to fill the gap and as we know Chicago Bulls, it's hard to deal with them in a healthy lineup. That's the reason why they got that @2.49 ML odds.

I understand the Bulls are in a great shape so far this season, I really just think 76ers would have been really value for money imo..

We are at halftime already, and the 76ers are up by 10 already, I feel the Bulls would better in the second half and this should be a close game.

EDIT: I wish had placed that bet, 76ers won the game 110-144

Lakers game is under already and Anthony Davis made the line with only Lebron missed out.

Did you mean us? lol I also currently has 0 points right now

+1
also have 0 points

but, it is not all about results, City won derby in Manchester, cannot say that it was not expected, it was just unexpected for me
Norwich win is totally unexpected, but they had to win sometimes, so this week was theirs

but, also Southampton should win last night

hopefully, will be better tomorrow

Woah, I didn't bother to check the app all day because I know I have only 1.5 Points, just to say you both talk about zero points so far, crazy day I'm not gonna lie, the bookies must be having a great weekend.

Other than Arsenal, I don't think tomorrow's fixture are easy to get grab points from either, maybe I'll just have to rethink a few of my decisions.
