4121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum co-founder Secretly Sold $11M Worth of ETH on Christmas Day! Got Outed! on: December 28, 2019, 03:16:46 PM
He thought it would go unnoticed because we would be full and occupied with family on Christmas Day!

https://www.cryptozink.io/ethereum-co-founder-jeff-wilcke-secretly-sold-eth/

Untill every eth developer sells in panic, i don't care. He has every right to do what ever he wants with his money, he is co-founder for heaven's sake, that means he has hodled longer then most of these peeps.
4122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ BITB ] BITBEAN on: December 28, 2019, 03:10:36 PM
What do you think about this coin ?

Usually i am all for non-premined, non-ico, or non funded in any other means, but have this even been developed anymore? It sure made a some people rich and rekt on the last bull run when you look at the chart.
4123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why You wouldn't invest in this coin? theoretically and practically on: December 28, 2019, 02:28:33 PM
First of all it's a token, not a coin that's is in sale phase, your roadmap is all over the place without the real plan or expertise to pull that off. Plans like these would have sold in 2017 when people didn't study better. Everything is vague and selling it in hotbit is just a huge red flag of incompetence.
4124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DECENT Announcement - Decentralizing Content Distribution on: December 27, 2019, 09:10:17 PM
Is there going to be any planned roadmap for 2020? I couldn't find any.
Some panic selling also going on. 35 sat or something like that was a good catch for someone.

35 Sats when this was happened I didn't notice this crash because at the moment it is trading above 150 sats? No there is no roadmap for upcoming years. Agreed with you there is much panic in current market situation.

22.12 that wick went under 30 sat. Can't remember how many were traded, walls were thin but still, someone panicked.

Agree. That's what I just told them as well. I also got some news from them. I don't know if this is gonna be official or not but they say there will soon be a new pair on probit global with ETH/CUR before the new year. Not sure if having a new trading pair on the global version of probit would help than actually listing their token on a new exchange. Does probit global have far better volume than the korean version?

So they lied on the first sentence, because it's still muted group:

Then why wouldn't they lie on the other one? And that faked volume doesn't mean anything without liquidity, and that doesn't exist now.
4127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain courses? on: December 27, 2019, 06:46:29 AM
The more I read about blockchain technology, the more I become confused. So I have decided to take blockchain courses. But I am completely naïve about programming concept and the likes. What are prerequisites to enroll in the courses? Can I become a blockchain developer? Please give suggestions.

Depends on your course as blockchain developer is a broad term. If i remember correctly "ivan on tech" was doing courses for complete beginners, i can't vouch for them but i was going to try those later when i have time. But i am guessing that you will find free courses as well just by googling them.
4128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins a definite solution against a bear market? on: December 27, 2019, 12:20:34 AM
Technically you also could just short 1x, then the price will be stable to dollar in a bear market. In bull market you probably wish you hadn't done that but the outcome will be same as holding tether in bull market. I am not sure about the shorting fees though, i haven't counted them in.
4129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is YouTube Now Cracking Down on Crypto Related Contents? on: December 26, 2019, 10:43:17 AM
Maybe they do not want to associate with crypto currencies which is kind of understandable. Cryptos has shown literally nothing for the past two years and no further steps made towards the mass adoption.

That's a newb investor perspective, and big companies don't act like that. I believe that youtube is just acting on some new orders from sec, because almost certainly many of those videos are violating some securities law or something like that.
4130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin bubble by 2023; capitalization up to 150 times, a research suggests on: December 26, 2019, 09:46:58 AM
Recent logarithmic analysis by analyst Benjamin Cowen suggests that, by 2023, the capitalization of the cryptocurrency market could exceed $11 trillion.

This is "medium case" scenario, while "extreme case" scenario offers the total capitalization of $32 trillion, with prices boost up to 150 times. While Bitcoin exchange rate at this scenario is at ~ $141K for 1 BTC, its total market share will drop to 23%, leaving space for "altcoin bubble" (which is plausible in both scenarios).

The analysis is performed based on weekly data on the price movements of Bitcoin and altcoins.

Source: https://icolink.com/ico-news/benjamin-cowen-predicts-a-cryptocurrency-bubble.html

What do you think? Will altcoins be the future of the cryptocurrency market, or is it too distant and insignificant future to consider? Is the market too volatile for any sort of longterm predictions, or does it sound plausible to take into account such researches while investing?

That's pretty conservative, i am expecting 500x or more total altcoin bubble next from current numbers. Imho people will fomo in on last stages and there will be a lot of those who don't understand the market cap valuation, they just see "cheap coins" like last time and they will probably buy the top.
4131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or Utility Tokens? on: December 26, 2019, 09:32:39 AM
At present time in the crypto space. Yes there are more and more projects coming up every day. New coins and tokens. What would you rather see more of this time that be more useful to you?

Coin or a Utility token that can be earned by doing something else?

Why do you think a Coin is what you want to see?

Or Why would you want to see more Token projects?

or why you would not want to see either of both

Tell us your reasons why. this be neat

I don't really understand the comparison as the projects and their quality differ from each other very much. There's a lot of useless token projects, as there are lot's of useless new blockchains that end up being unsecure. Some of them serve the purpose and some not. If there's a good enough platform to build tokens on to, can you really complain that people want to build on it?
4132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Authorities Confiscating miners on: December 26, 2019, 08:38:36 AM
People around me still mine coins using free electricity, which is illegal and they have been doing this for more than a year now, in my own country security and laws are not taken very serious so they can get away with this, i prefer POS coins because they don't require any skill

How can you even compare free electricity mining and POS coins? First you have to acquire enough coins and that's not cheap if you are going to make a living, and even then value of those can just go down before you sell them and you couldn't even cover the original cost.
4133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Authorities Confiscating miners on: December 25, 2019, 01:31:44 PM
Chinese authorities have seized nearly 7000 crypto mining machines that are illegally consuming electric power, really hope this won't affect bitcoin in any way? And why are people doing this? Prove of staking is a better option and no one will ever know you are mining anything, i am not saying POW miners are bad but illegally? Come on! It's not worth taking such risk when they know they can be caught, they can earn same profits from Staking

Full news is right here
https://cointelegraph.com/news/chinese-authorities-confiscate-nearly-7-000-crypto-mining-machines

If you had a job or a place that you could use for free energy mining for a while, wouldn't you be tempted to try some minining? And Since you probably won't get caught right away, it probably gives you a feeling of false security and you would get greedy with the hardware until you got caught.
4134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: LiveTree ADEPT [SED] Crowdsale complete! on: December 25, 2019, 10:32:53 AM
I laughed seeing this project they wasted their opportunity, and now they have gone and I also see that their telegram community has also been disbanded. I don't know if I was blocked privately or as a whole in the SEED telegram community

Telegram channel is up, admin is long gone though and it's full of ads now so i am guessing you are talking about the old chat, no one is getting kicked from this new one, not even bots.
4135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IEO] CurioInvest - Bringing collectables into the digital world on: December 25, 2019, 10:09:17 AM
is there someone here who can give a chat on their telegram? I can't, did they deliberately lock their telegram group? while the exchange they promised seemed to be non-existent and I was very disappointed. Embarrassed

They closed the commenting in it and no one can write anything in there, people were asking too hard questions. If that's not a red flag i don't know what is. Every channel that i have seen doing that in the past has been exit scammed later. This is why we have an open forum about this, as they can't control btctalk.
4136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TAP (XTP) Will be Listed on Bittrex on: December 25, 2019, 09:22:57 AM
https://medium.com/stp-network/tap-xtp-listed-on-bittrex-global-9f91b457996d

TAP has recently conducted a very successful Micro Token Offering on the TokenProtocol platform (STP)and will be listed on Bittrex today at 4:00 PM EST.

Tap is an exchange app which will let you trade on major crypto exchanges within the Tap app. With one KYC (Know Your Customer) process you can trade any supported crypto asset on any major exchange

Let me get this straight, is XTP token in the STP Network? With a quick glance, doesn't that kyc happen in the first layer (TokenProtocol) anyway and tap is just offering a physical card and some sort of trading app for it? So the question is, what's the xtp token for?
4137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: myetherwallet.com problem on: December 25, 2019, 09:06:32 AM

Are you using ledger? If so try to update the ledger firmware, also, turning off adblock and similar could help depending what browser you are using.
4138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and the FBI on: December 24, 2019, 08:36:01 AM

I am seriously baffled why it is a problem, cash is way more anonymous and i am not seeing fbi ranting about the dangers of anonymous fiat cash. Maybe they are though but it's not newsworthy and don't get reported.

It is a problem for them because they can't really control it and they believed that it is being abuse by criminals like terrorist and illegal drug traders.

On the contrary, FBI should step up their thing here, they have billions of budget at their disposal. And there are a lot of companies today which they can tap, like https://ciphertrace.com/ if they want to track transactions.

Yeah, but they can't control physical cash either. You literally don't even need internet to move it even though it's harder, it's totally anonymous. Yet while they can't control the blockchain, it is an open ledger that they can track so i can't see why they complain.

EarnShit investor victims can report its losses to Game Protect and we will enforce it from the responsible parties. Smiley

Oh noe, she is back from a temporal ban. What ever you guys end up doing, use legit services and not some random scammer who can't talk 5 mins without insulting everyone, doesn't know how the crypto market works and wants to somehow sue the volatility, and is threatening to sue you if you want your money back.

That face looks familiar from the telegram. If my memory serves me correctly, i can remember him being really supportive and helping anyone with questions, and i think he won some eosbet twitter competition as well.
This raises some real concerns because i really want to trust this guy. Earnbet admins, is your move to write a decent response.
