4121  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: October 25, 2017, 02:02:35 PM
Many people who scam others in virtual world maybe wouldn’t do that in real world. But in virtual one they feel protected and anonimous, safe that no one will reveal their identity and some don’t even think they are doing something wrong. Of course that is not completely true but still chances are smaller than in real world to get caught.  People want easy money and they just don’t think on consequences. They also think that everything is allowed online and on the internet.
4122  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: XAPO TRANSFER STILL PENDING AFTER SEVERAL HOURS, NO TRANS ID, NO TRANS HASH on: October 25, 2017, 11:30:43 AM
Hi,
I made a transfer from XAPO to a BCT Wallet, i paid the high priority fee to make the transfer faster. Have passed like 3 hours and its still pending, the seller is asking for a transaction ID, and they don't give you a transaction ID, or a transaction hash, so you basically can't check what is going on.

The avg confirmation time in Blockchain is supposed to be 40 minutes...

They DON'T have support, only a faq site, but you can't make support tickets or something. Does some one have experience with these guys? Im very worried.

I don’t know if you are using only their web site but on Xapo mobile app the transactions ID and hash are avilable. You have to click on transaction and the data on blockchain will be available to you (the option check the transaction with blockchain). They also have the support but they are not very quick in answering or sometimes they don’t realy at all.
I’m using Xapo for a long time but never had such an issue. Hope you will solve your problem.
4123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the BTC price go up or down after the 25th Oct fork? on: October 25, 2017, 09:58:21 AM
We can see that the price was corrected a bit now and it’s about 5500$ to 5600$. Probably it will remain so until the November 1st when the true effects of fork will be actually in place. After that and before next fork announced for the middle of November the price will probably go up again and then the similar situation like now will follow, so another small correction. This is rather normal process, nothing to worry about and no reason for panic selling. By the end of the year Bitcoin might achieve the 7000+$.
4124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congress plans to regulate cryptocurrencies on: October 25, 2017, 09:13:28 AM
Using term legalize the Bitcoin is wrong to my opinion, the term regulated should be used instead. And regulation doesn’t necessary have to mean something bad for Bitcoin. As far as I’m aware some UŠ states have already done thatand there rae some laws in place regulating Bitcoin. In the future Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be under biger and biger attention of governments around the world but this should be turned in our advantage and advanatages of Bitcoin. Think it’s possible, we just have to monitor the regulations and try to influence and act there where it goes in wrong direction.
4125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin from $6000 to $5500 on: October 25, 2017, 08:32:11 AM
I think such price correction was actually expected. I would say it’s usual in situation like the fork is. And this one was particularly confusing for many users about the date and the value of Bitcoin gold, exchanger behaviour and so on.  Still I don’t expect further fall of the price it might remain around 5500$ at least until November 1st when the practical effect of this fork will be in place. But the good thing is that we haven’t seen so much panic selling this time maybe this is a good sign.
4126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold is useless on: October 24, 2017, 08:59:03 PM
To my opinion people have expected too much from Bitcoin gold. Fast, quick, easy money and now it looks like many are disappointed. But it' s still free money. The price of Bitcoin gold is low and it will be probably even lower in the upcoming days. It's just the mess that has been made, nothing else.
4127  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Any International bitcoin debit card ?? on: October 24, 2017, 12:43:13 PM
You haven't mentioned which country are you from and which providers you have already addressed but to my experience I think Xapo Bitcoin debit card is Solution for you, they ship cards in majority of countries. Also, their card is very reliable and you can use it everywhere without restrictions. Fees are also quite decent. Maybe would be the best that you contact them directly and check the terms.
4128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Gold hard fork has happened on: October 24, 2017, 10:37:39 AM
At bittrex it was stated that snapshot block 491407 has occured yesterday so on 23 October and therefore Bitcoin gold is already on the exchanger. Some have said that this will occur tomorrow on 25th but it's important to say that this is different from hard fork scheduled for November.
Anyway it looks like this is rather confusing situation for many users because different informations are appearing everywhere all the time. And not all exchangers will be crediting their users with Bitcoin gold.
4129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Opportunity on: October 24, 2017, 08:43:02 AM
Many Bitcoin users probably have the similar experiences and feel the same. No one didn't have the cristal ball or new what is going to happen with the price. I believe we all have the lost opportunities but we shouldn't look behind our shoulders and regrett for it but look forward and make new opportunities for oureslves. It's not too late and there is plenty of time to make good profit. Just don't give up and use every chance you get.
4130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing all my savings! on: October 24, 2017, 07:47:18 AM
The ratio how you've split the funds among cryptocurrencies is good. Still I wouldn't invest all my saving in anything not just in cryptocurrencies. No matter how the situation is looking good and attractive and the price is high this can change and will change at some point so it's too risky to spend all your saving. Reconsider your decision one more time and maybe consult somebody that is maybe more experienced with cryptocurrency investing.
4131  Economy / Speculation / Re: This family bet it all on Bitcoin on: October 24, 2017, 12:28:13 AM
Some people are just gamblers by nature or they think they have nothing to lose. Anyway, decision like this looks like a bit reckless and without responsibility but maybe this might be the only chance for this family or the opportunity to make decent living for the rest of their lives. I don't have enough courage to do something like that but I admire people who do.
4132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin future expectations of the financial world on: October 23, 2017, 07:56:29 PM
In the near future the whole financial industry will try to have the maximum profit avalable from Bitcoin. Despite some believes it will not try to ruin it or crash it but to export it more to get profit for itself. And this will be good for Bitcoin too. The price will rise, the acceptance too and that will be start of unstopable revolution in finances that has already started.
4133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Moneyless Society on: October 23, 2017, 07:17:26 PM
World without money can't exist, this is utopia. Money will change different forms and values but it will always exist, this way or another. Some long time ago people only exchanged different goods with each other because the money wasn't invested yet. Hope you don't want to live in such era.
Bitcoin could be substitute for one kind of money in virtual world but still it can't replace fiat money in whole and for long time this will not change.
4134  Economy / Speculation / Re: This guy predicts bitcoin to be $20,000 in 2 years. What do you think? on: October 23, 2017, 12:46:39 PM
Not really rocket science as a prediction. It will be 20K before the end of 2018.

My moto is always never say never and I'm always hopless optimist but 20K before the end of 2018 is exaggerated prediction.
When the price is on the way up everyone thinks that nothing is going to stop it, forgeting how little it takes to disruppt the balance because many factors influence the price movement all the time.
I realy wish to see the price at 20K but still I'm careful with predictions.
4135  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to 7k before fork? on: October 22, 2017, 07:49:01 PM
The fork is very close and 7000$ at this moment seems out of reach. The Bitcoin price will stay around 6000$, maybe could jump up to 6500$ and after fork we will see how will develope. Bitcoin gold will end similar like Bitcoin Cash or maybe even worst and it's not even that supported as Bitcoin Cash. So it will use just to make quick short profit if possible.
4136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possible End of Bitcoin on: October 22, 2017, 07:18:24 PM
Everyone has the right to his own opinion and attitude and I don't deny that ETH is good coin but still it can't be compared with Bitcoin and I don't believe it will ever take its place. And Bitcoin will not end or vanish so easy like some think. Many coins are fighting for Bitcoins' place and their users hope one day will be so valauble and accepted like Bitcoin bit on the top there is place for only one cryptocurrency and that is Bitcoin. So, dream on.
4137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin for Dummies? on: October 22, 2017, 06:56:53 PM
Having in mind a large number of Bitcoin newcomers with little or even no knowledge about Bitcoin and mining such kind of guidelines would be a good idea. People want fast informations gathered at one place that are easy to read and use and that could help the to get into subject and start with actions. Hope this will be successful for you.
4138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John Hathaway's summary: Bitcoin is Garbage on: October 22, 2017, 05:20:26 PM
I don't know why we should pay attention to such so called experts that are spreading false information about Bitcoin. Don't know what is the purpose of it except that these are ordered articles or statements by some interest groups but they forget that Bitcoin has come too far to be damaged by such statements just like that. And this one has become just before the fork.
4139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really secure? on: October 20, 2017, 07:41:07 PM
Hackers can't have access to your funds unless it's your mistake. About uses of bitcoin, bad people will use anything secure and untraceable and they will exist if there is a bitcoin or not.

Users wallets are not that exposed to hackers attacks the biger problem is if you reveal or disclose some of your access data to someone. The exchangers are quite different story and they are much more vulnerable. But with time they are getting more and more aware of possibility of security breaches so they also invest in protection and educate their users.
4140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you going to keep your BTC on exchange during the upcoming forks? on: October 20, 2017, 08:52:07 AM
I haven't decided yet. Usualydon't keep coins on exchangers for safety reasons, or just very small amounts. I still don't know if my wallet is going to do something about Bitcoin gold and if I could get any so maybe in this case I would make exception and leave some amount on exchanger to get something to sell and quickly make some profit.
