Most chess players are aware that chess has been used for a long time as a small representation of a battlefield and as an indicative of the skills that you need to succeed on that battlefield, personally I find unnecessary to try to represent visually the conflict between the pieces, to all the people that have actually play the game and love it this is not necessary, however I can understand how someone that is just starting out learning chess could actually like to see how the pieces battle among themselves but this will get tiring very quickly. Yeah, the effort made is appreciated. But I do agree that gamblers who are really fascinated with chess would prefer the traditional way on how it is played. And people who are really chess players might be interested to either watch it, bet on it and spread the information to others. Spurs should trade DeRozan. That's probably be the best solution, DeRozan is very inconsistent, does not even have a decent percentage of shooting from the outside. Maybe this is one of the mistake of the Spurs when they acquire this for Leonard, they could have get something that is at par with Leonard. If Spurs will decide to trade him, who would they get for him? A star or a bunch of players? He went out of the Raptors and the team win the first ever ring and they are still making a good run, Spurs should think bout this DeRozan is not fit with the system, he's not the leader that this team needs.
