4121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 04, 2020, 10:46:53 PM
It seems like there will be no PBA season this year as it's possible that it will be cancelled.
https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/cancelling-season-now-a-possibility-as-pba-to-decide-by-august-a795-20200502?ref=feed_1_section

Quote
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said the board met on Saturday to discuss the plans of the remainder of the year in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, and they have set an August timeline as to how the 2020 season will be played.

we will know by August then.

The upcoming GCQ after May 15th will not allow any sports events. Businesses will slowly open but all workers aren't allowed to report for work every day, still, they will be on the skeletal work mode system. The number of confirmed cases in the country increases every day. Some who recovered are not totally virus free. It means there is no shortcut to have 100% virus-free within 3 months even today the vaccine will be available.

PBA board of governors should already know that 3 months timeframe to see what's the progress of the Covid-19 in the country shouldn't be the basis if they will still push the current season. "Virus-free or not within 3 months", they must not engage quickly into mass gathering activity because it might trigger again the gun.

I'm positive that we will have good progress within 3 months but let the whole community back to normal slowly without going back literally to where we are or what we do prior to the pandemic virus.

Resetting the PBA season next year will not really harm the current season since only a single game played and they are just in the first conference of the season. Or if they really like to continue the season, as we understand their employees also need to come back at work, extend their timeframe by a month or two, and only push the AFC. Limiting the crowd, or totally not having a crowd can also consider. Even fans missed watching the PBA live I doubt they will consider doing it right away even the government will say, it's now ok to go outside without any caution.

I'm also positive about the outcome in next 3 months since I believe that by that time we have successful cure since for sure 1 of those vaccine/drugs that are in clinical trials right now will be successful.

But for now even if we are un GCQ still we cannot expect to see the PBA coming back since for sure the government would not let any gatherings that will contribute for second wave.

And best to reset the season so that it cannot ruin the history and start again with new season since for sure the fans would love to see a new action rather than seeing an old competition where we don't know if players are fit to run since they are just newly coming back from quarantine.

Hello.

I got this message today on screen when I want to log into OneHash site that my IP is blocked.

Based on your IP we determined that you are based in United States.

According to our Licence we cannot operate in the USA, the Netherlands, France, Poland, Curacao and Dutch West Indies.

All the other locations are welcome

Here you have screen from OneHash.

Do you know what to do now? Thanks for any advices.

The question is do you have funds left on your account? try to access it via vpn or the TOR suggested by the users to see if your account is not blocked since if they block request to their support for balance withdrawal but if you still like to play then use the recommended apps or browser so that you wouldn't get any problem.

4124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the cure of COVID or CBDC BOOST BITCOINs price this year 2020 on: May 04, 2020, 11:27:51 AM

This pandemic virus has no relation to the price of bitcoin so I do not think that if this pandemic virus has gone the bitcoin will increase. It is not about that because as of now the bitcoin starts increasing because of bitcoin halving and we know that this virus is still existing, there is no strong vaccine yet that can kill the virus, but let us all pray that there would be someone who will going to create it as soon as possible.

Why i think differently about it since if you look on the on the effect of it you will see that the economy is suffering and all people have no work not including with "frontliners" so if no work those medium income people cannot buy bitcoin and if they cannot buy bitcoin then the demand would be lessen so if the demand lessen the price will dump so for this theirs a direct effect with bitcoins also we are dealing on the economy so there's a relation about it since we exchange it with fiat and buy it with fiat.
4125  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to play live casino in the Philippines? [Coinsph Tutorial] on: May 03, 2020, 10:52:08 PM
I wouldn't recommend this. doing this will just put your coins.ph account at risk and can result to your account suspension.

https://site.coins.ph/user-agreement (Coins.ph TOS)

Would it be bad to involved your coins.ph account on a gambling?. As I have read in post above about coins.ph tos which is that they will suspend or you won't be able to use your account. So, I'd rather not use it if i were you op. Just think of another way to be able to buy bitcoin at anytime you want.

Yes, kindly read the quoted message above so that your account will be save and make sure you didn't violate their TOS since your account will be suspended for that matter. so if you want to gamble just transfer your funds to other legitimate wallets and there are so many of those available around aswell upon buying you can go to accredited stores or platform to avoid any issues.
4126  Local / Pamilihan / Re: COINS.PH FAKE GIVEAWAY PHISING ITO MGA KABAYAN on: May 03, 2020, 01:16:59 PM
Maraming ways para kumita ng bitcoin, don’t look for an easy way and this phishing site is not a good way to earn money, maging wais sa pagbibigay ng mahahalagang impormasyon at sa pagiinvest mga kababayan.

4127  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to BUY 100,000BTC on: May 03, 2020, 12:18:00 PM
I don't feel any legitimacy of this post since for sure his bluffing us here and I don't see any individual holding that amount even if those big sites or miners.  Best for mods to lock this thread since there's nothing gonna happen for this finding since we all know its impossible to find that not unless if he select to buy a portions of big whales holdings.
4128  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Watchlist for Active Filipino Posters/Campaigners on: May 02, 2020, 12:46:02 AM
IMO, the purpose of this thread is for the CMs to have a definite reference in the future... And I think it is right to be here or the reputation section rather than on our Local. Actually I don't find the purpose of this thread if it were placed on our Local.
I would rather choose to move this to Reputation board since most of the posted threads in the Services Section are easily dumped to the 3rd to 5th page if it is not bumped on a daily basis. I know that this may be one of the most visited section in the forum but I don't think Campaign Manager will see this thread often if it is not maintained.

Reputation board is good but I think this topic is good to transfer on service discussion board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=85.0 since most of the filipino listed above is campaign joiners so better talk about that there without disturbing the users who are seeking for other essential services.

Ravena and Romeo were part of Gilas before that brawl with the Aussies happened. Only Fajardo and Norwood were not suspended, all the rest including coach Chot Reyes were meted with suspension thus making Coach Yeng the head coach of the National team. Those players under him were left overs of the selected pool because most of them were suspended. Even Taulava made the call to join Gilas as there are no other bigs left that an help Fajardo in the middle.

I think you have explain it right, the good players in the Gilas were suspended that time, I remember Romeo doing a crossover when he got kicked by an Aussie player which is currently an NBA player, i think the guy is playing with the Bucks, not sure though.

Gilas players not backing down to the Aussies, however, the result was very bad, we barely have a chance in international games and then we allow such thing to happen and players are just suspended. I think I'll never watch castro play again in the international court, the young guns will take over, but who is going take over the best point guard in Asia?

They can't replace castro but they can rely on pogoy and with lee or  barroca, if lee and barroca is included in the line up since this three mentioned is experienced and efficient player. I don't trust ravena since he have so many exhibation which cause delays on their play. and also with the help of bolick and perez for sure they will not feel the castro's departure since even without him for sure gas sti a power house team since the young guns are good players.
4131  Local / Pamilihan / COINS.PH FAKE GIVEAWAY PHISING ITO MGA KABAYAN on: May 01, 2020, 10:11:13 AM

Thank you for the heads-up. To report these kind of phishing attempts, we can go and email,

phish@fb.com.

I already do my part, and hope that others, specially Filipinos who have been using this exchanges will report this so that if should be taken down immediately.

Ok, will do this thanks.

As an alternative, You can go to that page and directly report this kind of scam attempts.

I do hope that no one will fall for this kind of trick. It looks like the page was just created on April 26 and posting random pictures of Filipinos.

I done my part and already reported the page, provably that is not a random people since I always see newbies on facebook crypto groups asking for legitimacy of that post.

Thank you for the heads up here especially for those Coins.ph users and most likely are all Pilipinos. Have you already post this into our local board? (Pilipinas) It's a good awareness to our fellow countrymen out there who didn't know the official Facebook page of Coins.ph exchange wallet.

There are too many ways to trick lazy and noobs people who are easy to fool this kind of strategy. Luckily, we are fully oriented here in the forum. I reported the phishing link too.

Will do a post later on, I just post it here for global awareness that this phising attempt is existing Smiley.

4134  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 30, 2020, 11:56:21 PM
They are business, they should not use false information to promote their service.
Without tx id/or winner testimony those made up banners are worth nothing.
If you don't want to believe the winning players here on the Roobet then nothing will force you. Don't waste your time and just focus on your own campaign. Also, how do you know that these are just false information?
Is it just because you have nothing to expect?

There are actually winning players who don't want to be informed or give their testimony, presumably for their privacy and security.

I'm pretty sure that they are fake, because not even bet id is provided, just words. They are not high on trustworthiness scale. Wink

I've been a lurker around bitcoin talk for a while and also an avid player of Roobet a few months now, I'm down several hundred dollars there but your baseless claims are too hilarious not to comment to so I've had to dig out my ancient account, don't get me wrong from what I've seen they've still got a long road ahead from them and they are still relatively new but your claims are hysterical.

A casino doesn't need to prove the legitimacy of any bets to someone like you, and as this was a live casino game sourced by a third party, you don't seem to know how they work, typically the provider will charge a percentage on each bet or the profit the site makes overall from their services, you're trying to say that Roobet simply sits their all day placing bets on their games while racking up fees with their providers or made the win out of thin air to mislead users? I'm part of a roobet discord with some friends in the community and this was shared there https://prnt.sc/s8v7dq - seems like it must be fake right?

no, I didn't think so. I think any casino in the right mind would want to capitalise on such a win, and you're really firing them down for that just because you seem to have a grudge against them?

You also question the capability of Roobet paying out a bet of this size, casinos like this typically are a multi-million dollar business & have a huge amount of investment behind them, they'll probably make at least $250k back in a few days, if not double that, they work with a lot of influencers which probably have brand deals consisting of tens of thousands, I couldn't see a business of this size sacrificing their integrity for that, I really can't comprehend your logic, it's beyond me.

Hey wise ass if they are so legit then why do they need to have twitch streamers place high stakes bets on blackjack/slots/monopoly etc with fake money?

Sorry but that practice is very unethical. Its really scummy especially when the target audience on twitch are teens and young adults that don't have much money. But they see their favorite streamer placing $500 blackjack bets with fake money and think they can do that to. Its a very dangerous road to go down if they ever want to be a respected online casino, which at this point I doubt will EVER happen.

Also, the twitch streamers encourage anyone in gambling jurisdictions where its illegal to play online to bypass those filters set in place by government to fake their identity and location with VPNs. Again very scummy especially since Roobet has in ther terms of service that using VPNs is specifically against the rules. But they are only there for show they are looking the other way for now.

They don't care if kids underage is gambling on their site because they do no checks. All of this is super shady.

I won't stop exposing the scum that roobet is because I've been gambling online a long time and I know a shady ass casino when I see one.

How such things became scummy while the streamer for sure paid to advertise so expect them to have bonuses to wager and to show how the game actually works,  its not about how they gamble with legitimate money since in the first place the aim for streamers is to get payed for their work not for their gambling.

I'm not saying that this site is legitimate but as long as there's not any claim that that they are wrecked by un honest system and their withdrawals, deposits and big winnings hold we cannot call them scam.
4135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto never used Bitcointalk - new claim by Craig Wright on: April 30, 2020, 12:39:34 PM
I wonder why people takes his claims seriously will we all know that his lying about things maybe we should forget about him since the more talks about his name the more he will became famous and I think he loves his name always brags in controversy.

So technically speaking on this he already claims that he is not Satoshi right?  Huh
4136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Takes Place Amidst Pandemic on: April 30, 2020, 12:05:00 PM
So boxing promoters from Nicaragua still proceed with their boxing match despite the pandemic, they have taken all the precautions
Fighters are sprayed with disinfectant, ring girls don face masks and socially-distanced fans.

The promoters dismissed the coronavirus  and insist that boxers need to eat and feed his family

They have held this event because the number of infected is not very high in their country.

What do you think about this, do you think that some sporting events have a good chance of resuming?

Check the article to know more

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-8258251/Coronavirus-Boxing-event-takes-place-Nicaragua-promotor-insists-boxers-need-eat.html

Well actually it is their own choice and maybe before they have continue to held the boxing event is that they get the permission from their own government. But, at times like this that we are having the pandemic, we must not set aside even the small count of infected people can still do harm since it is a virus that can be spread if mass gathering will be held. But since they are doing precautionary measures for that event, then it will be fine as long as they can assure that they will not be the one to cause for the virus to spread even more in their place. They must take full responsibility of their actions because clearly, live sports event at different countries have been cancelled or postponed to prevent the spread of virus. Nicaragua must do the same thing also so that the small counts of their infected citizens will not grow into massive numbers.

If that claim is true well I don't know how there government consider things since for just 1 match they risk the lives of people who watch the bout for the sake of money? even if they had small numbers of infected person they shouldn't really downplay it and be confident that they are ok since it will be turn worse if the outbreak will start just because of this event.
4137  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Possible big scam coming warning guys. on: April 30, 2020, 09:49:28 AM
Didn't it raised flags already with the explanation that they are writing which makes no sense at all and 1500 ETH every 100 days. Thats like 15 ETH every day and with the price right now its around $3000 every day. Seems very real  Cheesy, I found my next job.

Seems like the operator of the scam is from russia

I used to send e-mails to the abuse address when I found these addresses, but I never got a single reply from any of them and most websites are still up.. I kinda understand though, as the domain seller has a single interest: to make money.

Obviously that's there intention and maybe they doesn't even care to much answering on mails since they are focusing on social medias since that area where they can fool people and I totally see this a big one since if you could see they have quite big group in every social media platforms and I also think they accumulate more money by now since they are using a mlm system where there member will be push to promote to earn more in this site.

Yeah for sure Another big scam is coming. This is just a common sense no way to earn 1500 ETH every 100 days. Don't know how those people calculate when they invest.Don't think they judge before investing. When they lose or fall in trap, they ask themselves why would I do?Seems people never learn before making mistakes.

Money is so hot especially for people who are lazy and think they can earn by just doing nothing and I feel sorry for them since for sure this platform will collapsed anytime.

4139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CORONA Spreading in many countries. Bitcoin is one Solution for Transactions!! on: April 29, 2020, 01:07:57 PM
It can be one solution for transaction only for those who lives where it is legal to use it for payment method. In countries where it is illegal to use bitcoin as a payment method, so it is only possible to be used for peer to peer transaction. Even if we lives in a country where we are allowed to use bitcoin as payment method but in fact not everything can be paid by bitcoin.

In most of the countries bitcoin is not legal or the government is not clear in declaring bitcoins legal or illegal and that's the reason we do not find bitcoin to be vastly used for transactions. People who do not want to deal with cash (paper money), mostly use bank accounts for sending and receiving the payments.

although actually the method of payment by bitcoin is one solution but it is true said friends above that there are still many countries have not yet determined that bitcoin is a legal transaction. more people still use fiat for payment matters and if there is also possible with bank transactions with internet banking or ATM (Automatic Teller Machine). bitcoin is only done for something else or if for payment they usually exchange first with fiat to make transactions easier.

but with this pandemic situation, i believe a lot are already checking out on bitcoin or crypto. just to check if this will be a viable alternative method for their usual payment method. and definitely those businesses that wanted to add additional payment method may consider crypto this time. though the adoption will not come easy but once they experienced how to transact with bitcoin, they might change their minds towards crypto. sometimes all is need is actual experience to change ones minds towards something that is not familiar with them

I don't see any promotional or even link spreading to create awareness on bitcoin during this pandemic since the one I see is the economical upset and shifting to gold and other things but with bitcoins I don't see any. But maybe those who are into bitcoins are coming back but I think pandemic will not contribute to the fame of bitcoins, Maybe there are other crypto guys who influenced their families during their quarantine but I think it's small numbers only.
