So - you posted an auction here, people bid and then the bid apparently did not meet whatever reserve you admit to not setting/posting about, then you cancel the auction rather than honor it - and then claim there was no actual auction?

I ask because if the auction was on twitter not here, no one from here should have been contacted (as their bids were not "real") and we should then be able to see the auction on twitter - or was that conveniently deleted? what I see is simple, you made an auction - (forgot to list reserve - honest mistake) the auction ended with a bid lower than you wanted to accept and you are conveniently using the "I forgot to list a reserve" and "the auction wasn't even here, it was on twitter". As honest as a mistake that can be - the right thing to do is to honor the bids and provide the item to whoever was the highest bidder. Instead you deflect, ask for forgiveness and then "cancel" the auction after it has already ended. And now claim there was no auction here. I would bet there is even more evidence of your shady behavior and I hope the bidders here share any further insight. seller never contacted me after the auction was over to let me know if I had won the auction or not. Seller contacts me a few days after the auction is over to apologize for not indicating a reserve price. I feel like the seller is attached to her bitcoin tower and deep down doesn't really want to sell it. Seller should familiarize herself with the rules of the forum and the rules of hosting an auction. Seller dropped the ball on this one .... I wrote my opinion and apologized to all bidders! I didn't sell my art here: there was a link to Twitter! I apologized for not listing my reserve price! Thank you all, I took into account the mistakes and constructive criticism, but I will not sell my art here anymore! Was nice artwork. What would have been your price if you sold it? Let's play pretend and list it with a reserve minimum. Would it be 0.005 minimum plus shipping? I WOULD BE WILLING TO BUY IT AT A REASONABLE PRICE. I would then sell it to the winner at the price he won it for. SO THE WINNER WOULD NOT BE fucked. I would only ask that the seller gets forgiven for the fuckup. That's how nice the art is. It would strip the bad karma away as that piece of art deserves to be freed from the karma cast on it. I would use my philipma1957 main account. I was told the reserve was 1 btc or that it was .1 btc - the twitter thread linked no longer works - at least not for me. |

I thank everyone for their input - I was able to get someone with a valid BitPay account to log in and make the payments (there were two invoices to pay, 1 for the logistics/shipping company for 45.45 euros and one for 1007.5 euros - paid with their equivalent value in BTC) I will advise everyone once order has been received and we will work on getting them reshipped to everyone. I apologize for the hiccups but I am glad we are back on course |

unfortunately, I believe this order will end up cancelled thru the site listed in OP. They have two option for payment - bank wire and Bitcoin. The first option of bank wire I can not do as I don't actually have a real bank account - the closest I have is CashApp which has account numbers and routing numbers but I cannot send a wire from that as far as I know. The second option is Bitcoin which prompts them to send me a BitPay invoice. Now, I have paid BitPay invoices dozens of times in the past with zero issues. However, this invoice requires that I actually have a BitPay account. I had one at one time and no longer do and can no longer have one due to they closed my account and have barred me from having an account. I had some fraudulently charged transactions in California and Nebraska within minutes of me using my card in Florida so obviously not me. They initially reversed the charges, at which time I withdrew my funds and requested a new card. They then "un"reversed the charges and placed my account negative and would not issue another card until I paid the charges. They later closed my account. So, safe to say I cannot pay via BitPay. As I see it, I have the following options: 1. order thru the secondary site provided below: 2. I xfer the Bitcoin to someone we all trust and who has a valid BitPay account and have them place the order. I will cover the difference in cost due to the drop in BTC value - so no one will be charged any additional amount. 3. I cancel the order and refund everyone who paid exactly what they paid me. If everyone (who was involved in the purchase) could let me know what option they would like, I would appreciate it. I sent DM's to all involved - this post is for transparency. |

I apologize to all: I did not indicate the reserve price! Excuse me! No worries, mistakes happen. Are you still willing to honour the winning bid? I guess that someone should face the consequences (takes responsibility) of a mistake, and IMO this shouldn't be the auction winner What should be according to you, the appropriate resolution (course of action) for this situation? Sorry again! I am canceling the auction! I'm sorry! excuse me? you ran this auction for nearly 3 weeks and did not realize that you did not set a reserve until AFTER the auction ended? This is a huge red flag and you should expect some negative trust and maybe even a flag to come from this. couple this with the shady behavior recently in other social media and I don't think I would suggest anyone to deal with you. |
