Just a little update: - Looking at finishing a very basic website off this week and having it up and running by weekend - We will be creating 2 dedicated nodes (One in the UK one in the USA) - On the website we will be providing download links to an edited zip FailCoin file with a updated conf file inside and instructions on how to use - Later next week to any new wallets we will be offering 1 Mill per new user giveaway The pool https://www.minep.it/pool/fail is still up and running - Thanks minep.it <- A link to this will be provided in the newly created zip. Good news! My wallet already synced and I'm back mining FAILs, because I f*cked up with several currencies. I will mine it, untill I became FAIL billionaire. Hey batesresearch,
We could start offering FAIL on existing fail sites. Tell them if they get a wallet, we'll tip them with FAIL. We can even contact the site owners and get them on board?
The only problem would be that the prospective FAILers' wallets won't work unless they know to add nodes using the failcoin.conf file. Getting a site up and running would help. We could then explain how to add nodes to the wallet conf file and also give instructions on how to mine (or where to mine) FAIL. The link back to minep.it would also help the guys at minep.it.
Also, does the code for the block explorer (referenced by Minep.it team) work with script coins. It mentioned block chains for bitcoin, so I wasn't sure. I've coded in the past, and am willing to help wherever possible.

I believe that the best thing for the price is multipool... as BlackCoin did it. It's harsh decision and I personally can't create it, but the cryptoworld is also harsh and more than 90% of miners are looking only for fiat. One multipool can increase the price of EBT significantly.

Agreed with foodstamps. Basically, I don't want to troll, but the facts are that kickass pool is "under maintenance" for a week, I should have at least 10k coins there and now lawyer story. I'm sorry for believing in that project.

Now I see that diff. is jumping pretty high, without any changes on network's hashrate. Also, the minimum autopay on pool is set on 1000 coins, which is pretty much imo. |

What does not match?? All I'm saying is he is getting significantly larger payments on a consistent basis with half the mining power and pretty much the same exact setup except mobo, cpu and isp. Every payment he gets on the same pool as me is several hundred with 3MH, while mine is like 40-50 with 6MH. You will need at least 25 MH mining power to get 20k EMC2/day at average difficulty of Einsteinium's network (let's say 17-20 diff.). |

Where did you hear about the coin? What brought you to start mining failcoin? How about the rest of you? It's probably about time we started getting others involved. I saw the coin on Coin-swap.net and decided to come check it out, which brought me to the launch site here at bitcointalk.
By the way, it just dawned on me, we don't know a few things about this coin...since the OP didn't mention them at launch...
1. Does it ever "halve"?
2. When is the expected date that all coins are mined?
3. What happens after the coin is completely mined? (Doesn't mining need t occur in order to process transactions?)
4. Was there ever a block explorer created? If not, how easy is it to create one?
5. Is it time we took over this Posting for the failcoin? We need to update the nodes for those who are new to the coin, and the OP doesn't appear to login anymore. (Maybe we can find the originators of the coin and speak with them? How would we go about that, do you think?)
