I live in Western Canada... is one of those better than another for my location?

I set it back to poclbm.exe [userdeatils]@api.bitcoin.cz:8332 -d0 -v -w128 -f1

The way I had it before trying Stratum, although now I am using the new version of poclbm.exe.

In new poclbm, you should see some informational message that it is switching to stratum, correct?

Yes it says something like, "diverting to stratum".

Both proxy and native support will work good, except that with native support in miner you don't need to run special software on the machine.

I see, so one doesn't need that mining_proxy.exe anymore with this new version of poclbm.

Thanks for the info.

CoinAd is spinning its wheels.  Just showing the 'loading' graphic and never getting to any 'success' message.

CoinAd is working now

Thanks for the update.

Portnoy, the main reason for native support in miners is that users don't need mining proxy. So try to point latest poclbm to http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332 again, it should redirect to Stratum automatically (by following X-Stratum HTTP header in the response). Or you can put stratum://api-stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 instead, to point miner to stratum interface directly.

Portnoy: Can you confirm that it is connecting to port 3333 instead of 8332? If so, then poclbm is mining on Stratum interface and thus giving you all benefits included in this protocol.

Sure. How do I do that?

This is what I have in my batch file:
poclbm.exe [userdetails]@localhost:8332 -d0 -v -w128 -f1

Should I change that 8332 above to 3333?

m0mchil just released new version of poclbm with native support of Stratum. Can anybody check it and confirm that it works as expected? I don't have a reason to think an oposite, I just don't have GPU here around to check it myself.

Working fine for me.  Although I don't see anything different. The last version worked fine for me with Stratum.

I just busted a crate, guess they got a fresh shipment.

Yup, they sent a tweet not too long ago saying they topped it up.

The best way to get a bunny to run fast is to get a pack of greyhounds to chase it.
The bunny always seems to win those races.    Wink

LOL, I'm doing some experiments with high octane carrot juice. see the results here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108834.msg1198784#msg1198784
Make sure to apply for bunny racing low emission tax reduction.  Wink

Keep those txid's coming. It's interesting seeing the results.      Smiley

Hello all,

First just let me say I'm sorry for the trouble in the past few weeks.  We indeed had a bunch of transactions go unconfirmed on the blockchain.  This was due to a feature we attempted to roll out that paid transaction fees on the user's behalf (which created some unconfirmed transaction chains).

We did some testing, and thought we had it down.  Obviously we were wrong.  That was my fault.

We've rolled it back for now so things appear to be back to normal.  I'm the first to admit we're still getting things "production ready" on Coinbase, so we won't come out of beta until we can safely say it's production ready.  We don't expect to earn your business unless we can execute on this and much more.  Thanks for bearing with us - we're in this thing for the long haul.

Thanks for this Brian.

Sending BTC from there worked for me now.  This time they prompted for a miners fee which they didn't do the first time I tried.

I agree with cambda's results.

bitcoincaptcha.org
they pay. last payments I didnt received 3 days (the faucet is probably now empty)

I have never received a payment from there which is why it is not on my list.

I receive payments from bitcoincaptcha, but I have to wait a few days for that.

netlookup.se/free-bitcoins/
do not waste time, did not receive a payment with 10+ requests in last 14 days ! SCAM

I use a unique address to test these sites and I have been getting payments from this one. I don't know
what is wrong in your case.

I've never received a payment from netlookup.

Thanks for the input. I will take a closer look at these two.
