4141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2022 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: May 29, 2022, 09:02:32 PM
Palmeiras is going to take first position, followed by Corinthians and in third there is the underdog Coritiba. The performances of top clubs in this championship are really close of each other and that is being highlighted on every news reporting Brasileirão. Some journalists and spectators are surprised regards this fact. As we can see the teams are very balanced and playing from equal to equal.

Another surprise is Flamengo poor performance. Before the beginning of the championship, they were expected to be among the top 4 clubs for the title, but barely hold themselves at 14º position. On the other hand, it was also given as certain Palmeiras, Corinthians, São Paulo and Atlético-MG were heavy candidates for ruling the competition, and actually, all of them still have chances of doing so, so this prediction has been pretty accurate so far.
4142  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: free crypto with learn and earn on: May 29, 2022, 08:03:32 PM
I don't understand why you people think that you can merely gain crypto without doing anything. Even miners are doing hard work to get their coins.

It is probably remnants from the old days when some early adopters shared bitcoin for free to spread the word. It started with faucets and eventually evolved into various learn-to-earn crypto programs.

As I see it, the only thing you can do to get more crypto is to work for it. The reason the coin is worth anything is because of the work that was put into it.
Cryptocurrency works just like real-world fiat currency. You work for it, you buy it with your labor, you trade it for other goods and services, and so forth. You can only get more of it by earning more of it.

Well, free stuff like faucets has always been things with low value in the real world.

For example, when Bitcoin faucets were a thing, you couldn't really do much with Bitcoin in terms of buying things. Laszlo had to wait a few days to get his pizzas for 10k BTC... so giving away Bitcoin made sense.

It's the same these days. There are a few things that will give you a few sats for free. Which right now is almost nothing, just cents, but it allows you to play around with the lightning network for example.
In the future the potential of the few satoshis you earn today through micro earnings is unimaginable. Of course it's not so good like years ago, because currently offers are really scarce, less profitable, not simplified and even confusing. But about 6 or 7 years ago it was possible to earn 0,40$ daily (0,001BTC), just by doing one faucet run, ignoring the low paying ones which can be claimed more frequently and using only faucets which paid every 3, 6, 8, 12, 24 hours (consequently the rewards were better). The whole process didn't take more than an hour.

Moreover, sometimes faucets with big rewards were launched and lasted for few days, until the manager concluded rewards should be calibrated. So it was like a profitable beta test for users during the initial stage of the faucet.

Now the best part: those 0,40$ daily held until the last ATH, would represent a daily income of 69$ only by using faucets!
4143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: May 29, 2022, 07:43:42 AM
Psychologically it will be a hard game for Scotland, as most people want ukrainian national team to raise the morale of their country and their people.winning this match towards Wolrld Cup. And considering how brave ukrainians are, their players will do the best they can and fight with all their strength and energy in order to make not only their nation, but also the world, proud of their performance and effort.

Moreover, Scotland is missing key defender player Kieran Tierney from Arsenal, who can be replaced by Nathan Patterson from Everton, although he hasn't featured since April due to ankle surgery, being this strategy unassured for Scotland. That is a weak defensive point Ukraine may want to explore in game.
4144  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: free crypto with learn and earn on: May 29, 2022, 07:25:18 AM
Try Cointiply. You can earn small amounts of coins on this site by doing different activities, which are converted to satoshis when you ask for a withdrawal. Most common and rentable method is to earn with surveys and I say that because you get paid even if the survey isn't disponible for your region. Just by trying to open the survey you already receive a reward (of course the reward is much better if the survey is disponible).

From all micro earnings sites this is the top one in the world right now. They also pay interest to users who have balances above 30,000 coins, although I think it's not a good idea, since the balance is in "coins" and not BTC, what means the more valuable bitcoin gets, less satoshis you will acquire when exchanging coins into btc.

But the site is great and launches many promotional codes on their twitter very often distributing extra rewards.
4145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin drops to $8k on: May 28, 2022, 10:08:43 PM
I am asking what will you sell to buy more bitcoin if this speculation ever happens or will you choose to  sell off all your bitcoin due to FUD.
I'm not taking this speculation for real, because it seems FUD in order to lead investors to sell their coins right now with the promise they will buy again, hypothetically when bitcoin hits 8,000$, what may in fact never happen. Then we have a scenario where many investors gave up their held bitcoins for an empty promise spread by FUDsters who are going to buy those bitcoins cheaper, of course, but not at 8,000$'s price range.

The safest strategy is to just keep holding, doesn't matter how deep the price is going to crash. Every investors should feel proud of themselves for holding some portions of satoshis, doesn't matter if they have many or few. Investors should keep in mind that is something they have already conquered and there is no reason to risk it for acquiring more. There are another ways to accumulate more bitcoins without selling your currently holdings.
4146  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter to pay $150 million for selling users data for Ads on: May 28, 2022, 08:44:15 PM
Promises and words uttered by social medias' managers mean nothing, because they are constantly changing their policies and terms of service. It's common to login into twitter or facebook accounts and have yourself freezed into a new agreement page where you have to say you accept the new terms imposed to you, as a platform's user. From months to months a new agreement is imposed by those platforms and I don't doubt between those little repetitive words there is something like "I agree you sell my personal data to whoever you want", although they are never going to defend a position like that publicly, so they need to play the good guys now saying they are very commited with the privacy of their users and wouldn't sell their data anymore.

That is ridiculous and revolting. The minimum twitter should do were to say to who they have sold data, for how much and provide a mechanism for every users to check if they had informations sold. Moreover, give the money they were paid to the people who had data leaked.
4147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting an NFT just got easy, didn't it? on: May 28, 2022, 01:58:01 AM
It's easy to earn something which has no value... It has been like this since a long time ago in crypto universe with ICOs and their priceless products, the shitcoins, and now the same phenomenon is happening with NFTs. The saying "there isn't free lunch" also applies to these cases where offers seem too good to be true. NFTs have a bright future ahead in gaming industry and only when the industry achieves success with a popular and sustainable online mmorpg I believe it will be a profitable activity for common people and investors like most of us, instead of being profitable only for a small group on the top of the pyramid which profits from speculation, scam schemes and money laundering through NFTs.
4148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why we should Buy some Bitcoins on: May 28, 2022, 12:13:53 AM
We are not yet sure if the bear market is over ,there has been a lot of predictions that the next bull run should be something that would take place in 2024 which is when the next halving is going to take place.  So most of us are looking forward to that time.

And I also read another prediction as of recent which was saying that the bear trend might continue, and that Bitcoin might even drop 50% and reach the price of $15,000. With that said, it’s still not a bad idea to invest in Bitcoin, because we all would be investing at a lower rate. Even if you invest in this current price of $30,000, or the price happens to reach $15,000 and you invest then, you are still going to benefit from it in the future when the price starts to increase again.

If we can take advantage and have the opportunity to buy bitcoin for as low as $15k then we are indeed very lucky but if we buy bitcoin from now on there is nothing to worry about because over time bitcoin will rise again and will always hit a new ATH after each bear cycle.

Investing in bitcoin is really a perfect choice, a way to save money for the future and will guarantee us a full future if we can hold bitcoin long enough.
15,000$ would be a great enter point, but it's preferable to guarantee the investment at the currently bitcoin rates, because it's not assured that prediction is accurate enough. Investors who wait for the perfect dip tend to lose the opportunities the market is offering at the present moment. After all, they end not buying a single satoshi, as they justify the price is never cheap enough and can always dump a little more.

Big investors know rounded cheap prices like 15,000$ are the moment many investors feel incentivized and confident to start investing large sums of money in bitcoin, so before the price hits that mark, they inject heavy money in bitcoin (let's say at 20,000$,16,000$ price range). This way they guarantee cheap coins for themselves, nuke the concurrency and centralize more coins on their hands.
4149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Mantra After, while playing And Before You Gamble on: May 27, 2022, 10:50:25 PM
I don't have exactly a mantra, instead I just keep mentalizing the result I'm expecting from the game. I intensively imagine the result I would like to see and try to transfer it to the reality. Some time ago, I had the habit of crossing my fingers as well, because that is a symbol of luck and that things are going to work as the person wishes, but there is a long time already since I don't do this anymore.
I believe positive thoughts in general are good to bring luck, confidence and enjoyment to a gambling session, as in every other aspects of your personal life. Mantras do work, unfortunatelly most people tend to stick with the negative ones...
4150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Fiat Financial advisors are such hypocrites when it comes to Bitcoin on: May 26, 2022, 09:19:17 PM
Financial advisors are economists who attend the demands and orders of the local establishment. Many of those guys live from income they make lecturing at big events sponsored by big businessmen, oligarchs and monopolists, which put them in evidence to be called by TV news to make appearances, what consequently also boost the sales of their books and works in general.

If these experts go against the interests of those who pay them, that is, to introduce common citizens to bitcoin as an acceptable and possible investment option, they will totally lose the financial support, reputation and status, being replaced right after for an expert else who accepts playing the establishment's game.

It's like being part of a club or of a group of friends for long decades, and suddenly turn against everything this group wants you to say and to believe.
4151  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What role are faucets and freebitco.in playing in BTC mining? on: May 26, 2022, 07:43:47 PM
Freebitco.in is more than just a faucet. If i remember correctly, they were allocating a portion of the funds from interest accounts (users earn interest for keeping their BTCs in their platform) to their bitcoin mining facility.
I also remember it was mentioned somewhere in the website they had some btc mining operations, but looking at their FAQ and EARN BTC tabs now I haven't found this information anymore...

But what about these "other faucets" OP? cause a faucet-only website which claims to be mining BTC doesn't sound good...
There were/are faucets which use your computer processing power to mine crypto while you are accessing them. It was announced as a passive earning method, but I fear it can lead to prejudice and damage to the desktop components or invasion of the system by malicious virus and hackers. It really doesn't sound good...

https://freebitco.in, and other faucets claim to mint BTC. Now, the estimated amount of BTC in circulation is 21 million, but with these other sources BTC mining here and there, are we not expecting more than the estimated amount? Because on a norm, before BTC gets minted, there must be a confirmation of transactions from miners just like regular banks do in the normal Fiat.
My question lies in the area of where these other faucets and freebitco.in get their coins from.
Just keep in mind the balance displayed by the faucet doesn't mean those bitcoins really exist. That is only a demonstration. I've already used faucets which showed me a personal balance of 0.1BTC or more, while in fact I had nothing, since the sites were scam. The bitcoins only exist in a wallet when you can confirm it by checking the address on the blockchain by yourself. Officially, realistically and proven there will never be more than 21 million bitcoins. That is an immutable fact.
4152  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Brand Name Vs Site Functionality? Or Both? on: May 25, 2022, 10:27:00 PM
Also the name has to be short and it has to be catchy so people can easily remember, however while this is important the functionality of the casino is even more important as without that no one will be interested in playing at that casino at all.
The casino name can be catchy but what most gamblers care about is enjoying every little bit of the time they spent in the casino, the fairness of the game, good customer, and fast withdrawal.
There are many casinos where gamblers can enjoy their time with excellent customer service, in a way it will be hard for them to choose which one they should go for. Among the top alternatives, and with similar promotions from all sides, I believe the gambler will play at the casino which most pleases him visually speaking. Not only the brand is the important in this case, but also the site's layout, colors and disposition of the items on the page.
During a moment of indecision, a nice or pretty brand can be the slight differential which will enable the gambler make his choice, but of course, every other aspects and features players expect from a legit and professional casino must be there as well.
4153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: May 25, 2022, 08:57:46 PM
What do you think about these winning probabilities?

World Cup 2022 odds: England to face USA

For me it's surprising to see England side by side with France in second place, both ranking 15% winning chance, ahead of Argentina and Germany, which by the way ranks only 10% and 8%, respectively. I also think Brazil is always overestimated, since they are at the same level of argentinian soccer, but score 18%, almost the double of Argentina's winning chances.
4154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 25, 2022, 08:27:03 PM
Can an old casino that's very active here in Bitcointalk, through support, forum advertising, and signature campaign, suddenly pull the plug and stop doing all these things can still keep and still maintain its position in the market.
In my opinion, I don't think so. A casino has to be in evidence most time as possible to remain popular, because that is the way it won't be erased from people's minds. Once a casino shut down their marketing and support services at the forum, it will be slowly fading away from the community's routine, imaginary and conversations, while another casinos investing in advertisement, active support and frequent promotions will take its spot, overcoming it in the end and gathering all the gamblers for themselves.

Propaganda is always the same in every niches and industries: the more you see it, the higher are the chances you are going to purchase the product or use the service. That is why big companies and franchises are constantly putting their ads everywhere they can: internet, television, newspapers, magazines, outdoors, banners, stickers... After all, it's not only about quality, but also the frequency you are in contact with the object in advertisement, even if you aren't asking or looking for it.
4155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most undervalued cryptocurrencies in 2022 - your opinions? on: May 25, 2022, 07:57:28 PM
With the exception of shitcoins, the whole market is undervalued in 2022. That is what a bearish market represents. Every altcoins which have a working project concept and showed solid results previously, with loyal supporters' base along the time, are likely to perform well on the next bull run. But keep in mind altcoins by themselves do nothing. It's bitcoin currency which pushes them above. Without bitcoin pumping there isn't altcoins' bull run. So it really doesn't make sense to not pick bitcoin to invest. That is the safest and surest option in crypto market.
4156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 25, 2022, 05:00:30 AM
It's clear that the gambler has a problem in the first place since he was addicted already plus he is not thru with it yet. Then a simple message from the casino would trigger the feeling of a compulsive gambler and since he can't do anything about it even if he lost more than he can afford to lose. That's why if you have a bad feeling when starting to play gambling trust your guts because that's true. In the long run, you will still be the one who can control yourself.
It is a shame that things like this keep happening but this is because people still have the wrong idea when it comes to gambling, if instead of seeing in gambling an easy source of money they just saw it as another from of passing their time then very soon they will realize how betting such a huge amount of money which they cannot afford to lose makes no sense, after all with all of that money you could have done something else that could have brought you more entertainment if used correctly, but since those people not only want to win but also to recover the money they have lost through the years they never consider that alternative view at all.
And in this case it's even worse, because the addicted gambler didn't cause problems only for himself, but also for his acquainted, who was scammed and lost 56,000€ he received from his mother. Probably this gambler knew about the inheritance received by the other man, and that is why he milked every single penny from him to feed his addiction without worrying if there would be money to repay the "loan" later. It's also shocking the fact this scam lasted for 2 years. It's a lot of time to be scammed in silence without going after the police or suing the borrower.
4157  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying a house with 100% Bitcoin is possible in Portugal on: May 25, 2022, 02:35:42 AM
I  never understood how bitcoin can be used in large scale buyings like these.the coin itself is not stable and highly volatile and although this may be fun and all in a bull market but in the bear case as we stand today that BTC you recieved can lose 1/2% of its value in a day.For 3btc + transactions this is alot of money and an unessecary risk taken by the sellr.

I don't think btc was supposed to be used like there, not unless it got severly regulated or backed more.
By looking the website few times I observed the values of the properties fluctuate a lot. I guess there is a fixed value in fiat for each offer and the site is configurated to follow bitcoin market's quotation in real time. The more expensive bitcoin gets, the less you pay for the house/land and the cheaper bitcoin gets, the more you pay. But even in this case, when the market is heavily volatile it can be annoying to close a deal...

One of the properties, for example, was pricing 130BTC, and after few minutes when I checked again it was 129.7BTC.
4158  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying a house with 100% Bitcoin is possible in Portugal on: May 25, 2022, 01:06:22 AM
It looks like Portugal is standing out in bitcoin adoption and usage as currency, congratulations. As I see, there is a decent number of offers disponible at the real estate website displaying properties for sale.

For me the prices looked a bit salty. I thought houses in Portugal were cheaper, or maybe is it more expensive on this site because they are dealing with bitcoin?

There may even be the possibility of making a specific contract for this.
But, making a deed regarding the purchase/sale of a house, you must follow the laws of each country for this type of property.
That is, although before you could make a specific contract for this type of situation, now in Portugal you can make this type of purchase according to the normal rules for buying a house.
Does it mean besides the costs in bitcoin for the property, the buyer has to pay extra costs for the deed of sale and registering the property (taxes to the government), right?
4159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Proposal for LUNA on: May 25, 2022, 12:08:13 AM
....
while the rest of the community that knew that this was a scam and avoided it still have to suffer, something that is completely unfair.
Crypto has recovered nicely from he Ethereum DAO hack and then the Bitconnect ponzi so the market will also endure the negative impact of Luna's massive failure. Most people will eventually move on and just prepare for the next bullrun to recover their losses.
Exactly, crypto market won't be affected by LUNA's death. These are independent subjects. It's crazy to see negative news recently claiming the bearish market and the difficult in recovering prices are a consequence of what happened to LUNA.

Sadly, for investors who picked this currency wrongly, I fear there are minimum chances any action plan to save the ecosystem will work. When an event like this happens, it becomes nailed in the history of crypto industry. Everyone knows about LUNA's fiasco, even those who aren't crypto enthusiasts know about it. People will stay away from anyone and anything related to LUNA from now on.

Maybe the best to do would be to compensate investors with the funds this project still holds and then finish it.
4160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The market is confusing on: May 24, 2022, 08:07:20 PM
One thing is certain (based on trends), when the market is at bearish mode, that's the time to buy.

It's hard to put bearish bottom. Sometimes I feel still afraid if the bearish has not touched the support that I usually take by drawing the Fibo line. Although technical sometimes does not apply because whale wants another. Buy when bearish and don't know where that support will harm. But I understand everyone has their way of being taken easy and making a profit. Mngkin other techniques can be done by buying gradually, done with a quarter of your funds, although if later the profit will not be maximized but it saves your assets from a worse happiness.
The price can always crash deep further, including during a bearish market. It's out of our control and forecast skills. But at some point you have to set your enter point, even knowing this harsh reality, otherwise you won't thrive in crypto market. To not get disappointed I think about those people who bought BTC during its ATH in 2017 and have seen their investments crashing to the bottom, although they didn't lose hope. Instead, they just kept holding with patience and assurance someday bitcoin would overcome that bear market. And that is exactly what happened.

From an ATH of almost 20,000$, to 3000$ in 2018, to the impressive ATH of 70,000$ last year.
