4141  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: account with wrong password on FREEBITCOIN, and I can't reset on: December 07, 2021, 03:31:42 PM
Recently there is DNS issues on some websites so clearing cache and history should solve your issue or use incognito mode.

If you did reset your account and do not receive any email maybe it was also affected by the DNS issue recently.

I suggest you better contact their PR from their official thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.19560
4142  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer s19+ Error on: December 07, 2021, 03:25:11 AM
Do you have a multimeter?

It seems that capacitors under that mark are short that part might be the cause that is why the other ASIC is not running.

If you could check them with a multimeter if it is short then you can remove that part I don't know if it will work properly without it but based on my experience with any board without that capacitor it should work fine. However, it's still recommended to replace it.
4143  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: avalon 1246 won't hash above 79TH. on: December 07, 2021, 02:23:32 AM
Better give us more insight about your issue if you can copy the miner logs and paste it here maybe we can see the issue.

What I think is that your miner is automatically switched to normal mode. This unit has two working modes (Performance mode and Normal mode.) if you want to run at full speed then you need to force choose the Performance mode under configuration.

I guess 73 you talking about is Fahrenheit not the Celcius?
So if it's 73 Fahrenheit it should be around 22 or 23 Celcius?
4144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do paper wallets work on: December 07, 2021, 01:29:21 AM
I have a question also sir as a newbie and curious about this,

If bitaddress.org creates the public key and private key, where we can put that public/private keys? In any wallet/platform?

Thank you

You can import private keys to any bitcoin wallet such as Bitcoin Core, Armory, Mycelium, or Electrum and etc...

But be careful in choosing which wallet you are going to use there are many phishing sites and wallets out there that could compromise your private key. Only choose a wallet that is already well-known like what I mentioned above.
4145  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do paper wallets work on: December 07, 2021, 12:53:05 AM
They do not store any private keys on that tool it generates unique private keys.
Bitaddress.org only contains HTML documents and Javascript it won't work on any browser with disabled javascript.

If you want to deeply check this tool then go to their GitHub to check their respiratory https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org
You can also check their old thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=43496.0

As you can see it was developed years ago in 2011 and the last update is after 5 years or 2016. If you do not trust their work better use normal or non-custodial wallets like Electrum or Bitcoin core for safety.
4146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to improve a bitcoin site's Google ranking on: December 06, 2021, 11:51:17 PM
I think their algorithms are often times anti-bitcoin.

No, there is no anti-bitcoin algo their search engine is different compared to their Adwords campaign or Google ads.
Google search treat all website the same as another website any keyword can be used to rank up even Bitcoin as your keyword.
Just follow the guidelines from the webmaster tool if you don't want to be kicked out from the Google search engine.

Here are the proper guidelines for a webmaster
4147  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer s19+ Error on: December 06, 2021, 11:39:43 PM
Would you mind posting the whole kernel logs here?
Maybe there is another issue before the ASIC chip drop to 40?

If this is a hardware issue there is a guide on how to repair the s19 hashboard but the problem you will need some tools to find which ASIC is broken.

You can follow the guide from here https://www.zeusbtc.com/manuals/Antminer-S19-Hash-Board-Repair-Guide.asp

If you can't then you can use Contact ZeusBTC for repair.
4148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: KMSPico Malicious Windows Activator Stealing Crypto on: December 06, 2021, 05:01:08 PM
I think this is only on the latest KMSpico so the older one can be still used for activating Windows OS.

Actually, I'm only using it just to activate the office but if you use it would directly activate both office and the OS. I'm using the older one with my PC without any problem yet or maybe I'm just protected with Kaspersky total.
So only the latest one is infected with cryptobot malware/virus inside.
4149  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BITMART GOT HACKED $196M on: December 06, 2021, 04:47:36 PM
This is another story of an exchange being hacked actually I do not believe that they are hacked.
From the start, before they enter into this business they should focus on security.

What I noticed is that in every bear market just like before there are some exchanges being hacked so I think this is an inside job I don't have any evidence to provide but since they are planning to compensate their users it might be just a strategy to get benefits selling them right now before the huge price drop to any coins/token they have and then they are going to pay their users after the huge price drop.

4150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to improve a bitcoin site's Google ranking on: December 06, 2021, 12:38:29 PM
You need to learn more about SEO first before you can rank up on Google. It's not an easy task and you can't get instant results.

If your domain is new then you will need to wait for 6 months to see rankings on Google the right keyword should be what you focus on because after 6 months you will rank up on top 10 or 20 rankings if you did SEO properly. Except on the keyword you use sometimes it's because of many competitors or poor SEO if that's the case it won't be able to rank in the top 20.

Improve your website or forum SEO always remove all spam and plagiarism because your website will be hit by penguin updates that could affect your SEO rankings and traffic and keep your website and topic unique. That's the on-page SEO. For off-page SEO having backlinks on top rankings, Bitcoin blogs, and sites would help to rank up your forum website just like what you did right now you posted a link above it's called a backlink the result won't be instant but I believe after 6 months it would help to rank up your website.

About the AdWords campaign, it won't be easy to get approved by google if you apply to any crypto-related sites. We know they recently allowed it but actually, you can't but if you want to force your website to promote on Google ads you will need to register your domain on FinCEN as suggested on their policy. That's not an easy task even you are trying to promote a forum site unless if it's not a crypto-related site.
4151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Update Bitcoin Core on: December 06, 2021, 12:20:58 PM
One important note when backing up using that method:
Make sure Bitcoin Core isn't running when copying the wallet.dat file because you might backup a corrupted copy (by a low chance).

Actually, not a low chance it's 50/50 I have experienced before that most of my wallet.dat file is corrupted original file is around 3kb but the copied file is 1kb or 0kb even the Core wallet is not running there is still a high chance that copied wallet.dat can be corrupted.

The best way I think is to move the original wallet.dat and only put the copy of wallet.dat into the bitcoin core wallet folder. So that if the copied file is corrupted you can replace it with a new copy from the original file.
4152  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: help with t17 on: December 05, 2021, 10:43:24 PM
If you don't know how to flash it with an SD card there is a guide from Bitmain that you can follow.
Here's the link below just translate it into English that's the guide they provided for t17 units even it is not listed there.

For the SD card you can find it here SD_T17
Take note of other firmware because there are also t17+ and t17e so make sure only download T17 SD card firmware.

After you successfully flash the unit through an SD card make sure to flash it again through Web GUI and take note of the exact firmware it won't work if you flash it with different firmware.
4153  Other / Meta / Re: Could a mod please assist. on: December 04, 2021, 11:54:48 PM
The limits you have are for newbies and new accounts they just want to avoid any spam caused by new accounts.

For fast solution is to buy copper members as suggested above but if you don't want to buy then be active here on the forum until you become a jr. member that could increase your limit.

Another suggestion why not recover your old account instead? If you posted a few BTC addresses that you own before you can recover that account and prove that account is yours.

You can read them here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.0
4154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC anonymously on: December 04, 2021, 11:33:16 PM
Why not buy Bitcoin directly to any KYC exchange and use a mixer instead?

Your process is too long so buying bitcoin directly would be the best option than buying XMR to BTC.

There are lots of Bitcoin mixers or tumblers you can try Wasabi it has a feature to mix them or use Chipmixer.
4155  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 PRO No HASH DOA ? on: December 04, 2021, 11:15:24 PM
Thank you! BitMaxz, philipma1957

To confirm the unit is new from a reseller, no dirt.

Swapping the power means switching to a different set of plugs in the wall only 240v available. So not being underpowered.

It is looking a lot like a PSU, is there a common repair or substitution path, surely theses things are kind "off the shelf"

There is no guide here to repair miner PSU you should hire professional who knows about Electronics or hire someone who has knowledge on repairing miner PSU or you could replace it with a new one.

You can contact ZeusBTC they have many repair centers in different countries and maybe you are near one of their repair centers. You can also buy PSU there.

Here's the link https://www.zeusbtc.com/Repair.asp
4156  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 841 won't start on! on: December 04, 2021, 11:00:27 PM
I have tried with a working MM board from a good known 841 and still the same thing. Maybe it can be a faulty hashboard, but why doesnt the other hashboards work? I think it is uncomon that all the 4 hashboards are faulty, what do you think?

Actually not ECHU shows abnormal status it also shows ECMM[1] which is pointing to MM board issue or bad connection between the hashboard and MM board.

Sometimes if one of the hashboard is faulty it could affect all hashboard so I'd like to suggest to try to run the miner with only one hashboard(Test them one by one) and let see which one is the culprit.
I don't know if Avalon 841 can run with only one hashboard but you can try and update it here.

4157  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ Socket connect failed.... on: December 03, 2021, 11:58:29 PM
Recently most of the big pools have had DNS issues that could affect the miner from connecting to the affected pool server but your issue is not related to your IP or pool it won't affect anything to your hashboard. If it shows only a few ASIC chips under your kernel logs it means you have an issue in the hashboard it might be a loose heatsink or cold solder joint.

Sometimes let it run for a few minutes or hours can solve this issue but if you still have that kind of issue then reflowing it with BGA hotair or replacing those chips could solve this issue.
4158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I only have 0.0001 Bitcoin is that okay? on: December 03, 2021, 11:39:16 PM
There is no problem holding it and maybe it could be worth $100k or more in the future.

But the only problem is if what wallet are you using? If you are using a custodial wallet you don't have control of that wallet. So always use a non-custodial wallet that generates you a seed phrase that you can use for future recovery.
4159  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 PRO No HASH DOA ? on: December 03, 2021, 11:02:57 PM
Thanks Yes, the power source has been swapped several times to no effect.
Swapping doesn't solve your issue better try other solutions like flashing your miner with the latest firmware.

Also, try to replug all connections from your miner PSU cable ribbon cable then clean the terminal with petrol or thinner.
Don't forget to check the PSU connectors male and female socket and maybe the control board PSU terminal has full of dirt and burns parts.
4160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help recovering 2015 wallet.dat on: December 03, 2021, 03:11:49 AM
Okay I was successfully able to install Bitcoin Core version 19.0.1

However, it is syncing with the network and is 12 years behind. I do not think I have enough space on my hard drive to complete the sync. Last time it took up like 900 GB when I tried a year ago.

While it's syncing I looked to see if there was any options in the settings to import my old backup_wallet.dat file and I don't see anything.

What does the plan do you actually want about your wallet? Do you want to continue using Bitcoin core? Using bitcoin core will download the entire Bitcoin blockchain except if you set it to prune mode but you won't be able to use most of the console commands.

Do you want to withdraw your funds from your wallet?
If that's what you want then you don't need to download the entire blockchain just let it run while syncing and go to console to dump all private keys from your wallet.dat but before you do that you need to import your wallet.dat there is no option on the settings that you can import wallet.dat. Since you mention that you are using Windows 10 OS then you can manually import the wallet.dat under %appdata%/Bitcoin then look for the wallet folder and paste the wallet.dat there. Once it's done you can now open the Bitcoin core wallet and proceed to export the private keys from your wallet.

To export, the private key goto console you can find it on Window>Console or through shortcut CTRL+T.
Then type this

Use this only if you remember that your wallet has a password.
Code:
walletpassphrase yourpassword 200

Then enter this

Code:
dumpwallet C:/mydumpwallet.txt

Now you have a dump wallet with your all private keys next what you need to do is to install Electrum to import them. It doesn't need to download the entire blockchain so you don't need to wait for long after you import all private keys it will sync few a couple of minutes then you're ready to send BTC from your wallet.

Another option is to dump the wallet with pywallet.py it requires python so you will need to install a python in your system.
You can find the tool here https://github.com/jackjack-jj/pywallet

Then for the guide check this post below

It only dumps or exports the private keys from your wallet.dat file once you are successful in dumping your private keys from your wallet then you can proceed to import it to Electrum. This one should be the best option it doesn't need to download the entire blockchain or wait to be fully synced.
