4141  Economy / Gambling / Re: CoinBet Casino, Sportsbook - Now offering up to 200% Match Bonus up to $10,000! on: January 14, 2014, 07:44:21 AM
So it is not provably fair at all? Since no one here can prove it?

It's definitely provably fair and we are working on adding all the verification info, links, etc. to the site as we speak. I'll update accordingly.

That sounds good. A lot of new companies confuse actual provable fairness with the certified RNGs you usually see in non-BTC casinos.

Sounds like a very fun tournament. I am looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, laughing about the name of a coin does not make you any money.
4146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how can we solve this problem that a very small people control most of Bitcoin on: January 13, 2014, 12:46:48 PM

Deal with it.
4147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [BEWARE] just-dice.com is a scam website on: January 13, 2014, 12:45:22 PM
What is the transaction ID?

Just-Dice has proven to be a very trustworthy company, and I do not believe they are running a scam at all.
4148  Economy / Digital goods / Re: selling 6.5 chips on Sealswithclubs on: January 13, 2014, 10:02:29 AM
how is the action on this website?   I am from the US, and there is only one site that I have money on that allows me to play, so I was considering joining seals with clubs.   I checked out the website (but didn't download the client), but it didn't seem like there were that many players..

Seals is the largest BTC poker room by far. You can read the review on BitcoinReviewer for more info.

Is anyone getting answers here? Seems like a lot of questions and not a whole lot of responses

It's sort of like trying to contact BFL :-)

We paid $18K for a fancy PR firm to promote a little publicity. They produced almost nothing as far as I can tell.  Can someone tell me how Terpin earned his money?

Mastercoin is now faced with the indignity that is being deleted from Wikipedia.  This is a direct result of non-existent publicity that Terpin was to provide.  Here is what they have to say about the project publicity: "The Forbes.com article is an opinion piece, the USA Today thing a passing mention in some kind of tech/gossip article, the rest aren't proper WP:GNG sources at all."

Can't we do a proper Newswire press release campaign.  Mastercoin is a spectacularly cool concept which is of great interest to those who are learning about bitcoin and the future.  Don't we have any clever writers in house?  WTF?  Is this ready for a bounty Ron?

So $18K buys you Forbes,USA Today, Coindesk and Bitcoin Magazine?

Hell, even $1k is more than enough.

Yeah, they should have named it "Card".

Even a million worthless Bitcoins are still worthless.

I don't see Facebook lasting that long. You can quote me on that so that I look stupid if it's still around in 20 years.

i agree i don't see facebook lasting in the long run, it's already dying and no one even talks about it. The actvity on my facebook feed went down like 90% compared to last year

Facebook will replaced not by one service, but by many smaller services that users will use according to their liking, such as snapchat, instagram, tumblr, twitter, etc.

The reason of facebook's death is their decision to remove privacy settings and constant loss of confidence with surprise changes.

Facebook isn't declining.

http://www.statisticbrain.com/facebook-statistics/

Besides that Facebook simply went from being the cool-hip thing to use for socializing to--something else.

Now its main purpose is to record life/family interacting on a global scale.

Facebook has learned from MySpace, Xanga, and the others who appeared for a year or two just to fade away.

Facebook is here to stay for at least another 10 years, though I predict more like 100+.

Twitter/Instagram/SnapChat/etc all here to stay as well as long as they keep on keeping up.

Snapchat probably won't make it past the next 5 years even.

That's a great guide for newbies. It will definitely help people get introduced to BTC.

All of the ASIC companies promise huge returns, except pretty much all of them end up shipping 6 months later, or never.
4160  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: cool for new users just able to write here on: January 12, 2014, 12:01:09 PM
Yeah. That's right. You need to make 1 post in the Newbie section and spend 4 hours logged in before you can post everywhere else.
