Clarkson is a great addition for Jazz as before him they had non-existent bench, but there is one big downside of him playing so good: I am not sure that Jazz will be able to resign him next season, he will cost a lot if he continues playing like this. Well downside for Jazz, Not Clarkson of course  . This year he got 13.4 million USD, and his next contract might go over 20 million per year. NorthPort was suppose to be a good team in the all Filipino cup as they have C Stand and got Nabong back in the line up, however, their support from the young and aggressive players are still not available. I am talking about Jonathan Grey and Robert Bollick, these two are still recovering from an injury and they will not be available next conference.
Injuries nowadays are really making the PBA less exciting to watch, maybe because the commissioner allows a more physical play?

I was actually surprised on how efficient the game went for the Rockets. At hindsight, my first guess was they would be dominated by the paint by the Lakers and win by considerable margin but they snatch the win through their efficiency and passing. James Harden does not need to score at least 40+ points per night to win. They just have to continue their pacing and get their scorers to play hot and hit those 3s to seal the deal.
They have to stick with their current game plan, they have been efficient with it. Tucker does not even attempt to rebound when his teammates shoots from the outside as Davis is just so tall for him, but somehow he was able to help and even nailed a 3 pointer when the Lakers was already taking the lead. Covington their new teammate were able to contribute 14 points from a very efficient shooting of 5-9 overall which is 12 points are coming from the 3 point area. Again this would be a different story if it were the playoffs now as teams will be more competitive and defensive on the end.
I can't argue with it, it's a series so adjustment happens throughout the series. |

I know that JMF will be out indefinitely and there is a possibility that he will be out for the whole conference and will be on the court again in the playoffs if they clinch (which is probably they will).
He will undergo a surgery so probably he will be out for the whole conference since the conference of the PBA is very short. This is similar to what happen to Cousins of the Lakers where he was injured in the practice and until now he hasn't played yet. I have heard some rumors that Vic Manuel will be traded in the SMB for Mo Tautuaa but with this news, I don't think that SMB will agree with this trade right now because Tautuaa will be given more time right now and he will be the starting center now. Lets watch him play right now. He played well on the NorthPort and he can be too with SMB  Would love to welcome Manuel and trade Moh as Manuel can penetrate inside and a better post up player. |
