4141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AltcoinDaily.io Youtube channel removed on: August 04, 2020, 04:10:47 PM
That's the problem when you are a user of another company. You are under YouTube, and what they give is what you would take, and the rules there should be abiding by members. I think AltcoinDaily.io should create their website and post their content there instead of in a video service provider. They can have full control and post whatever they want they think is appropriate for their content. I'm just not sure about the audiences, though, but at least they have complete control.
They can have both their own website and still upload on YouTube. But since YouTube has millions of users, it's easy for them to gain attention on that platform compared to creating their own website. Even if such problems occur, they can't abandon YouTube because their channel already has over 200k subscribers.

But at least, they already get back their channel. Since they are already a big account and if proven that they are not scamming people on YouTube, it's easy to get it back.
Maybe some censored material in order for them to retain their channel and not get banned or something. I think it's still wise to have a YouTube channel because of the audience. And it's amazing that they have a lot of subscribers. Yeah, you are right, as long as you are not doing anything scammy, you could get reverified and continue on.

I would try to look into their content too. I'm mostly hooked with podcasts since I love to listen with my earphones, I hope they would have one too, or I'm just not updated, lol.

I do think that those types of fake giveaways should be instant banned. Maybe do it like how they deal with re-streamer of different games like NBA being re-streamed and getting taken down or something close to that.
4143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Insure your Bitcoin with options on: August 04, 2020, 06:21:39 AM
Futures and options are very similar in terms of "hedging," and just like you pointed out.

Quote
Hedging is a trading strategy to reduce or eliminate the risk of holding one position by taking on another position.

I think what you didn't point out is the risk between the two choices that you have "Call" and "Put" Options. It basically has the same risk. but you need to know that there are fees on it when you are holding that particular position.

I still prefer to trade Futures even if it's riskier and has funding fees like in Binance Futures.
4144  Other / Meta / Re: Double posting of a thread on: August 04, 2020, 05:12:33 AM
I think it's okay to have two, in general, but if it has ultimately the same content, I don't think it's necessary to create two.

The best approach to this is to post the "First Thread Topic" and create another topic for another board linking to the "First Thread Topic." Then you could just put a reserved post under the first one, and you could connect the appropriate updates to that specific topic that you have.

For updates, at least you won't have any problem with posting in only one and not checking multiple threads at the same time.
4145  Other / Archival / Re: . on: August 04, 2020, 03:29:07 AM
Isn't the purpose of CBDC's would be treated as "digital money"? Then probably everything is the same like filing taxes, etc.

Yeah that is weird, that anyone gets a "refund", as that means they took "too much" money from you.... which is basically bullshit anyways.. they will just print more!!!!!!!!!
That's what I thought so also! It just doesn't matter how many tokens you have, but it still backed. But IMO, it gives the security that the token is backed by the fiat in their vault or something. Since the printing of money is nowhere near the private companies, I think it's safe to say that it's not in their power to "print" however they want, but if they collaborate with the government and print more, that's where the trouble is going to be.
4146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: August 04, 2020, 12:54:24 AM
Whether or not the head of the country has defined something as illegal, it's not reasonable unless he is scared of decentralization or something. How is it that people make crypto look bad? It's the people that use it for wrong reasons like scamming and making Ponzi Schemes for the people to "entice" into that type of investment and, in the end, blaming the currency being used or what that company is marketing. It's going to make the view of cryptocurrencies seem wrong, but it's the people that are bad.

There are a lot of good reasons why cryptocurrency should stay legal, and the head of the country should acknowledge or at least know that.
4147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware there is fake Trustwallet App circulating on Playstore! on: August 03, 2020, 03:29:03 PM
I think the less tech-savvy people are going to get victimized by this. I hope it quickly gets reported and approved by the admin in the PlayStore. Applications in the PlayStore isn't thoroughly checked, and if it is, it still gets through. I think they need to do something About it. With iOS, you are quite safe with those kinds of apps unless you are jailbroken or something.
4148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunting tips for newbie in joining bounty campaign. on: August 03, 2020, 01:21:12 PM
The easiest decision is to follow a reputable manager with the bounty campaign because, in the first place, they would be the ones who would be vetting the campaign and token itself. After all, if they accept some kind of scam-related project, then he would be held responsible for what he is marketing and managing. That’s the best way, IMO.

I think it’s quite easy to make a project look like a legitimate one. Just by doing active stuff and making sure that the community is around, a few months probably, they are going to get away with the bitcoin that you deposited.
4149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faucets - Do people still use it, and are they worthwhile? on: August 03, 2020, 09:01:02 AM
When I first came into the cryptocurrency space, that's one of the first things that I have tried to earn Bitcoin. Everywhere, I see ads on this BTC faucet and whatnot, but at the end of the day, it's not worth it. Having seen so many threads about it here in the forum, it made me stay away from that type of earning. With your question about "if it's worth your time," it isn't.

I have seen different websites as well those viewing ads, and you would be rewarded, it's not worth, IMO, either. Unless you would invest in it too and maybe get an ROI. But it's not guaranteed. With the Captcha typers also, it's not worth the time as well.
4150  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gigabet - legit or not? on: August 03, 2020, 05:33:41 AM
Positive and negative comments can be faked; almost everything can. But if you are planning to put in your hard-earned money into a casino that has strange reviews and just came out of nowhere, you could lose your capital there. I haven't seen any comments about that site, and it's quickly going to be better for you if you don't. It looks interesting, though.
4151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 mistakes to avoid when investing in Crypto on: August 02, 2020, 03:53:52 PM
If I were to enumerate the ones that I have done, I guess it's about 3 of them.
  • I registered in a wrong exchange and lost some of my funds in the exchange
  • I rely on a single coin, Bitcoin. (I don't regret this btw). Maybe diversification on exchanges is better, IMO.
  • FOMO time, I did a lot of times, with different coins, and as I grow mature in the crypto space, I relied on Bitcoin and not any other coin out there. Maybe coins for trading only.

I hope no one gets victimized by their private keys knowing that there would be no resolution to that but to create a new one, though. It's one of the key things one should learn when coming into the cryptocurrency space. Newbies should do the first one and NEVER skip the learning part. Almost everything is in here in this forum, and you just have to have the energy to read and digest most of it.
4152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you miss in block explorers on: August 02, 2020, 12:17:02 PM
Personally, I don’t use the blockchain explorer often just to see transactions come to go and be confirmed something like that that is related to me. I don’t check Clock Heights or something like that when there is a competition where the goal is to predict the blockchain height at a particular time, then I will check.

What I would like to see in a blockchain explorer would be the “whois” Type of information. Because they’re a lot of people who use possible scam addresses and it is already posted somewhere on the Internet, I think it would be ideal to see that it already is flagged or not or something like that.
4153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan's Dormant accounts waking up finally on: August 01, 2020, 04:22:31 PM
I actually saw their article in their Telegram channel, and I find it amusing that their thumbnail is like that, assuming that it's older people. It's quite funny, lol.

Anyways, maybe with these events happening, there would be eye-openers towards the government to really focus on developments on CBDC just like in the article. Then, it would be better for everyone. As for Libra, discussed in the article. They are possibly aiming high to be the future of money instead of just being a "token," and it could be labeled as a shitcoin.
4154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Traditional Crypto online gambling sites against Crypto based gambling sites on: August 01, 2020, 05:06:30 AM
I will select for sure the traditional one just because of the different availability of currencies. Focusing on one meaning, you are not open to other supporters of that coin. It's highly unlikely that they will stay long on that specific gambling site because of the currency itself, unless they have large stacks of that coin, like Tron for your example, and still play there. Definitely the traditional one has the upper hand with the attraction for sure. That's just my opinion.
4155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make `Trading` profitable? on: July 31, 2020, 06:12:09 AM
With your question in mind, I don't think there's ever the right answer to it. My personal answer to that is to risk and try your luck and maybe, with the right risk management and good technical analysis, you could profit. It's never going to be a "sure" thing but it's by chance as well. If you are going with the market or against it, it's up to the market to decide.

Making more opportunities would be nice, check out this video about Gunbot to maximize opportunities too.

4156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can 2.2 sat/byte makes my transaction finish in 48 hours? on: July 31, 2020, 02:44:18 AM
You just have to be patient to get your transaction confirmed because that fee that you have is quite low and wouldn’t go to the top of the queue. I have experienced this when I was still new to bitcoin and I Remember that my input in in the electrum wallet a small amount of fee and it took around one week or so IIRC. I was so frustrated with that and even the transaction accelerator can’t make the transaction go faster.
4157  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful of shitcoins on: July 30, 2020, 03:18:23 PM
All this once again tells us that we should not hope for a miracle, miracles usually do not happen, and if you inadvertently invested money in a project that you have not studied well enough, this will inevitably turn into problems for you in the future.
It could happen, but it's highly unlikely now with all the shitcoins surrounding the cryptocurrency space. I think it should be a pure knowledge when investing, to have the background, and know what the currency has done and purpose. Most of the applications of the shit coins are repeating and no more innovation with the technology. What they want is the ICO part to be funded and just go away with it. That's their miracle, someone investing in the developed shitcoin.
4158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Recommended Trading Bot. on: July 30, 2020, 01:08:40 PM
There are a lot of different bots out there, you have to check the best one that would suit your needs. A trading bot would help you trade 24/7 but you would still input different parameters that would be up to your area of strategy.

Thanks very much. it looks like Gunbot is not open source and it ask for payment, I will check on it as well. Really love their interface, I will definitely check on that.
It's not going to be an easy road if you are going to buy Gunbot but the support between users, developers, technical supports, have each other, and helping each other learn with different settings. There are a lot of features that Gunbot has that might be interesting to new traders and help them assess different ways to buy into the market and more. If you are interested in getting one, I would be glad to assist you there as well. Visit https://gunbot.ph for info
4159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PlusToken Ponzi Goes To Jail on: July 30, 2020, 12:09:46 PM
I’m quite elated to see the people who are starting the scam and Ponzi scheme is that surrounds us in different ways are you getting arrested and being put to jail period because I don’t think to promote this type of things are suitable for the image of cryptocurrency in general because they are using cryptocurrencies as the medium for those type of payments and creating downlines and other things that relate to Ponzi scheme is period
4160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your plan when Bitcoin will reach a new ATH? on: July 30, 2020, 05:09:35 AM
Probably would sell my BTC to profit substantially with what I have now. Personally, I think there is a lot of opportunities in the future when it's lower in price. So having to sell all my BTC at the best price at the time would be ideal for the future. I guess it's a risk I'm willing to take in the long run, and maybe I get the best price for my BTC, we will see.

I think what people should know that just because I sold every BTC doesn't mean I won't hold BTC anymore, and I would use that opportunity to grow more of my capital and reinvest. It's definitely a risk.
