Very high fear that can cause panic so that a panic sale can occur for fear that the price will continue to fall then prefer to sell it and will buy it back at a lower price that way can minimize the amount of loss, isn't it? without waiting a long time to be able to trade again
It's a nice strategy to attempt a buy-back on a dip but it's a risky one. Except you have a good strategy to spot a strong support you're likely to miss out on it and then regret not keeping your tokens in the first place. One thing about panic sell is investors not having done their research before buying a particular token. Once you've the token you're buying figured out and know it's roadmap there will be less bother once there is a fud. A thing I advise investors to do is never to sell all of the units of a token they're hodling during a foreseen crash. You never can tell of a token that can turn things around for you. So, they can do a 50% or 75% sell and wait to rebuy at cheaper price and have more of the token.
4142  Other / Meta / Re: What happens to the forum if Theymos was to disappear? on: July 16, 2021, 09:58:30 PM
Since we're dealing with hypothetical situations here, let me quickly ask – What if theymos or Cyrus or Cobra or whoever has power over whatever keeps bitcointalk running smoothly are all incapacitated at the SAME time? What happens to the forum then? You know, it raises a scary scenario thinking about it now. Life happens to all of us. It shows the precarious nature of man and the inevitability of fate as truly no one knows what tomorrow holds. I believe we need theymos or any close staff of the forum who is in the know to address all this.
4143  Other / Meta / Re: Do You Believe a New Forum Software Will Attract More Users to Bitcointalk? on: July 16, 2021, 07:56:11 PM
You are right about the evil-fee system.
Charles-Tim is absolutely right about that unnecessary fee. It's a real setback for a noble site like bitcointalk. Whatever the reason as penance for an evil IP (whatsoever that means) doesn't hold waters. Someone registering for the first time without anyone's direction or referral would think it's a scam site, honestly. I, for one, wouldn't have registered if that evil fee were there when I stumbled onto this forum in 2017. I mean, how do you convince someone to pay to register on a site that isn't a seminar class? How? Theymos should do something urgent about that.
4144  Other / Meta / Re: When is the right time to lock a topic? on: July 16, 2021, 06:31:06 PM
I thought about this because one can ask a question and the first five comments provide the answer to the question.
That's exactly when to lock the thread. If the essence for opening the thread is met why still keep it open? Except the OP is intentionally encouraging posters to spam on their thread. I have noticed that sometimes discussions drift from an OP's topic to other discussions which may also be interesting depending on the level of intelligence displayed by those involved. Other times, one gets to read derailed and spammy discussions.

There are threads like WO that shouldn't be locked for obvious reasons that price of Bitcoin is changes overtime.
WO isn't a thread asking questions. So, it's totally different and should continue. I get lots of laughs reading there myself.

4145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic on: July 16, 2021, 03:53:56 PM
They lost their money because

- Did not do their own research. DYOR is a first thing to learn, practice in this risky market.
- They are too greed and skip all rules they learnt to join and gamble, even with scam projects. They smell risk but they accept risk and they are readily to gamble.
- They use leverages uncontrolleable and were liquidated.
Your post said it better succinctly. The second point is the vice which has kept many crypto enthusiasts down. They see crypto as an easy way to cash out, a get rich quick scheme, which is erroneous actually. They go all in and then are trapped because most times they invest in shitty projects that eventually turn scam. Your last point is  what I term "practising ignorance" People go into something they truly don't understand. Leveraging into margin trading or Futures when you truly don't have a full grasp of it is akin to diving without the kits. That is what some traders do and it's dangerously dangerous, if you know what I mean.
4146  Economy / Reputation / Re: LOW COMMUNICATION RATE on: July 15, 2021, 06:23:47 PM
Oh yeah? @Fatemablabla is a male? I thought the user was a she. Anyway, it's glad to know he's alive contrary to insinuations in the bounty group that he's dead. However, it's highly irresponsible of him to have abandoned bounty hunters who worked for him after he must've got his rewards on the bounties he runs (there are several outstanding debts on bounties he runs). I'm a victim of the Dego bounty. Didn't get payment till date with so many other hunters. I will never get involved in anything he handles again. I wish I also know all his alts so I can steer clear from participating in bounties they manage too.
4147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: forex trading vs cripto trading on: July 15, 2021, 04:55:15 PM
Depending on the skill each person, but for me crypto trading is more easy and more profitable than forex trading.
Well, each to they own skills. Once it comes to trading, I believe everyone has indicators they follow to achieve results. In essence, what seems difficult for one may not be so for another. The only thing you can't say is easier in cryptos when compared to Forex trading is volatility. No industry is as volatile as crypto industry. However, being more profitable than Forex trading may be a subject of discourse and argument. I have a fair grasp of both industries and I can say that making profit is open to both. But it depends on the skills of traders to achieve maximum profits in both. There's nothing limitating anyone except set skills.
4148  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Tips for Trading from Beginner, For Beginners. on: July 15, 2021, 10:50:40 AM
5 Tips for Trading from a Beginner, For Beginners.

1. Check market sentiment
2. Set loss/profit (really important)
3. No emotions, only believe in your analysis.
4. Do not click any button yourself, a trade should over with a stop loss or take profit.
5. Never 100% on one trade, 20% amount with x3.
Let me score the above in tandem with what I believe...

1. ✔️
2. ✔️
3. ✔️
4.  ❌
5. ✔️

Number 4 is the only one I totally disagree with. You don't have to watch your stoploss hit once you observe the fastness of the drop as it breaks whatever support you've in check for it. Just cut your loss and run. After all, it's said that "He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day. However, your 30—day experience isn't whollistic enough to come to conclusion that those things you listed are the surest focal points in trading. There are a whole lot of others which are also as subjective as those listed above.
4149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Whale hoards bitcoin, will the market run out of BTC to buy? on: July 15, 2021, 07:31:42 AM
To your question — No, the market will never run out of Bitcoin to buy if whales decide not to sell at all. If anything, it will make those who want to buy Bitcoin seek alternative crypto to do whatever they would've done using Bitcoin. Let me give you an example from experience. Whenever Bitcoin fees become very exorbitant, people move to stable coins to transfer to exchanges and do their transactions or withdraw from exchanges. How do you expect someone to pay $20 as withdrawal fee from an exchange for what they could pay just $1 using a stable coin. I have seen this happen and I have utilized that option myself. It's the same scenario I forsee if Bitcoin is hoarded perpetually.

4151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why some are still loosing money in crypto on: July 14, 2021, 08:03:42 AM
  • You still believe that a certain coin will come back from the dead even though you already knew its a scam
I'm guilty of that but then that's what it is. I'm baghodling ONZ for a few years now, hoping a miracle would happen 🤷. Well, may be because I have thousands of that token that's why I'm reluctant to accept the fact that it's a dead end. However, I didn't spend any cash investing in it apart from my time and data running the bounty as a hunter. About people investing based on emotion, that's true and I don't think it will be gone any time soon. A lot of investors are too lazy to check where their money is put because they can't afford the stress of research. On Elon, I think anyone who has influence (Elon is financially influential) must have those who contour to them.

4153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I rather stay hungry than sell my Bitcoin on: July 14, 2021, 05:56:29 AM
I was once adviced to sell my coin when I had an issue that needed money urgently but I objected...
Don't be like those in the graves who have mouths but can't open them and eat. If what you urgently need to sell your Bitcoin to take care of is health, please don't hesitate to sell. Only those who've life in them know they've a certain amount of Bitcoin/crypto somewhere. Don't be misery and miserable when what can get you comfort is within your means and you can afford it. Again, those who are wiser always find a point to sell off and then buy back at further dip.
4154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you aren't reading you shouldn't be trading on: July 14, 2021, 03:33:44 AM
We can never emphasize reading enough. Howbeit, it depends on what sites or articles one is reading from to guide one on fundamentals. The reason I said this is because FOMO and FUD are misleading, and not true guage of projects. Yes, these may stabilise the market but it will only be for a while before the market resumes it's direction.

There are reasons why some traders just go and trade without any constraints and just treat trading like gambling.
These ones can not be accurately called traders. They're gamblers. Trading is a learned profession like law, medicine, engineering, carpentry etc.

It amuses me that despite seeking Brexit, England still endorses Euro tournaments 🤷

Geography we are in Europe.  We are just not dictated to from the European Community
It amuses me how dumb people are
... And who is the dumb person here? Someone who claims to be from England but can't get their grammar right? The Queen, Her Royal Majesty, needs to see this...

Besides, it's obvious you aren't a friend of punctuation marks! May be I should aid you? Kindly, learn to insert them in your sentences. 🧐

@thewaterloggers, just ignore that arrogant poster. You can feel how I'll mannered they're already.

CryptopreneurBrainboss, are you the only one in Israel (literary speaking though) who doesn't know yet that silence is theymos' greatest weapon?

I think he does that on purpose and not that he hasn't read or seen the posts. Just give him time. He responds, sadly though, late to certain issues. But I hope he sees the same thing CZ Binance saw in Nigeria as a major force to reckon with in the crypto space as he allowed the Nigerian currency to be paired on his exchange. It will be in the overall best interest of this forum if the Nigerian community is granted a local board as that will further create more awareness and source of generating more adverts for this forum. Investors like numbers, and Nigeria has got that numbers in population.
