4141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How corona virus affect on the Crypto world? on: May 05, 2020, 01:13:30 PM
I don't see significant negative impact on crypto prices. If corona would have it, prices already go down. I won't be surprised by some decreasing of rates due to the upcoming general finanicial crisis, which is probable and even expected, in the world, but it's in long-term prospective.

Just hold on for some more time. We are yet to witness the peak impact from this ongoing pandemic. Already 30 million or so in the US have become jobless and within the next 2-3 months, the impact will become more and more noticeable. The real trouble will start when these people run out of savings. The federal debt is going to increase by more than $3 trillion this year, and that can also have an impact.
4142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: May 05, 2020, 01:07:47 PM
Similar to what the polls said about Hillary and Trump on the last election hehe.

I speculate that Biden's running mate might be a woman. The democrats want their first woman president after their first black president hehehehe.

The only way for this is through 77 year old Biden who the democrats will make sure not finish his term.

What about some of those primary candidates, such as Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, Kamala Harris or Kirsten Gillibrand? Personally, I would prefer someone who is energetic and popular with the youth, such as Tulsi Gabbard. He's 77 years old, and non-Hispanic white. He needs a running mate, who is young, and non-white. Someone who can attract the youth vote.
4143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: May 05, 2020, 01:01:07 PM
The future of BNB will depend on the future of cryptocurrency in general. If I am not wrong, Binance is the largest cryptocurrency exchange right now. They already have the monopoly. So the only thing that matters now is the health of the market. If the cryptocurrency market grows considerably in the future, then the Binance exchange will benefit out of it, and along with that BNB will emerge as one of the top cryptocurrencies.
4144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 05, 2020, 12:55:43 PM
Speaking of "Cricket getting shorter" English board doing some experiment with "The Hundred - 100 Ball Cricket" I guess they were supposed to launch tournament this year but it got postponed due to Covid-19. In case they successfully launch this "100 ball thingy" and it gets famous then this format seems strong contender for the Olympics as well. ICC can think about it.....
Cricket is the only sport that keep on innovating new formats we have T20 which is entertaining and with 100 balls which means 16.4 overs and how they are going to do that . One ball per bowler in the final 4 balls would be fun Cheesy and if the format attracts the crowd then it would be great but more of these shorter formats will kill the test format.

Around 18-19 years ago... the ECB experimented with another format of cricket called "Power Cricket". This was probably before the T20 cricket established its hold. It was played for a shorter duration. I don't remember exactly, but I guess each innings composed of 12 overs. The major difference with this format was that on top of 4s and 6s, there were 3 new types of boundaries. Depending on the length of the sixer, 8 and 10 runs were given. 8 runs if the ball landed more than 20 meters beyond the boundary line and 10 runs if it landed 40 m back. 12 runs were awarded, when the ball hit the roof (this format was played in stadiums with retractable roof).
4145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 04, 2020, 03:22:27 PM
^^^^ In the sub-continental surfaces, some of the matches are ending up as draw. Climate change is also playing a major part, in the form of rain interruptions. If we could somehow take care of the rain interruptions, then actually it may be possible to limit the test match duration to 4 days. But as of now, there is no solution available for this.
4146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 04, 2020, 02:51:59 PM
^^^^ We may not miss any of their action, as they will continue to play test matches during the various bilateral series. I am suggesting this test world cup on top of the existing bilateral tours such as the Ashes. We can have 8 teams in the main tournament (the bottom ranked teams from no.7 to no.11 needs to play a qualifier, from which two teams will qualify). In the first week, we can have the quarter-finals, in which 4 teams will proceed to the semi-finals stage. In the second week, we can have the semi-finals and during the third week, we can have the finals. Entire tournament will be over in just three weeks.
4147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 04, 2020, 01:56:12 PM
Well you and few others made that clear many time here  Grin WTC is not perfect but its something.

ICC should introduce group system in Test, we discussed this before in another thread, right?

Well... WTC is definitely something.

For the ODI format, we have the ODI World Cup, and for the T20 format we have the T20 World Cup. There is no equivalent for the test format, and therefore I can perfectly understand your argument. However, I am not comfortable with this staggered tournament, stretching over many many years. Hey... I have another idea. Why can't we have a test world cup, once every 10 years? We can have 12 teams, participating in an all-knockout tournament.
4148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet? on: May 04, 2020, 01:50:37 PM
You can send to random address, but this is need eth to fee. Better you create new eth address. This is more simple and no need to waste your eth.  Grin
But if you are lunatic would you do that? Sending tokens to unknown wallet just to dispose these tokens are totally negative move. I often think why some irritated with their wallets seeing useless tokens, they can just always create new one or if not just dont mind those tokens.

I know some using gas to dispose their shitcoin but what could they achieved with that? Haha very obsessive compulsive people.

Well.. it can be very irritating. But why spend valuable gas on these worthless tokens? It is a self-defeating purpose. And if you do this, then these tokens will be causing a loss for you. The best thing to do would be to ignore these tokens. How many times do you login to your wallet? Once in a week? Or once in a month? I would understand your frustration, in case you need to login every hour.
4149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 04, 2020, 01:44:47 PM
Well I do not think these days cricketers really focus on being a test player rather than being a T20 hitter. Money is the fuel and money is in short version cricket. Players do not have much patience to play a cricket match for 5 long days unfortunately. Example: We see these days Test matches has results. Very low number of Tests finishes with a draw and lasts five days.

It depends on the player. I have seen some of the players retiring from the test and ODI formats, to concentrate on the shorter version. On the other extreme, we have a few, who have retired from T20/ODI and they are now available only for the tests. It is up to the player to make that decision.

By the way, how are we all doing. I hope everyone is safe and keeping the social distance.

Many thanks for your concern Royse. I am doing fine, and I hope the others are doing good as well. Here in India, we are through the 7th week of lockdown. Slight relaxations kick in from today onward. But most of the shops and establishments will remain closed for some time.
4150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: May 04, 2020, 01:37:17 PM
46 votes in the poll so far

38 vote for Fury
8 votes for Wilder

According to this poll, Wilder has got almost no chance.

There is not much confidence in him winning according to members here. On the other side Fury has captured the imagination of voters here with the majority clearly going for a Fury win.

My vote made that 39-8 in favor of Fury. No one in their right mind would say that Deontay Wilder has absolutely no chance here. He is having a good chance, but I would say that Fury is having a better probability of winning. A few months back, I would have gone with Wilder. But after watching the fight with Fury on February this year, my opinion has changed.
4151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto pair do you swap most often? on: May 04, 2020, 01:15:08 PM
I would choose the bitcoin and Ethereum pair because they have highest earnings that I can have because bitcoin is the most valuable cryptocurrency and followed by Ethereum, it will be easy for me to convert any of my tokens to the either of the two

The same would be the case with the vast majority of the users. Personally, I got rid of most of the tokens that I received from various bounty campaigns in 2018. I either converted them to Ethereum, or just cashed out. However, the Ethereum exchange rates have also fallen quite a bit since 2018. Anyway, it is still better than many of the tokens, which have become completely worthless.
4152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the best coin to buy apart from bitcoin on: May 04, 2020, 12:46:20 PM
ETH and BNB are the best altcoins for you to buy and hold. Never invest in other altcoins because they are too dangerous, in 2020 only Bitcoin and the top altcoins can increase prices. Please consider carefully before making investment decisions

ETH and BNB are some of the good altcoins, but as of now I would rather keep my investments limited to Bitcoin. ETH is showing a lot of fatigue lately. Until they manage to roll out Ethereum 2.0 without much issues, I am not going to trust them again. And BNB is quite risky. Even a few months back, the exchange was having issues with the American authorities.
4153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: May 04, 2020, 12:40:06 PM
I think that is happening in some of Asia country because I think people are bored to stay at home, and they tried to gamble with the cockfight. But unfortunately, the police knows what they did, and they caught those people. People are not aware of the rule that is applied in their country, so they think that they can still gamble in a secret place. I hope that shortly, people will not try to do that again because they will face the law, and maybe they will get punished for a long time because of gambling in pandemic situations.

Here also there were a few incidents. A few of the guys tried card games. What started with a handful of people soon grew in to a grand tournament, involving dozens of people. The cops raided the place and arrested all of them (except those who could run to safety). Can't do anything about it. People get bored, after staying at home for such lengthy duration.
4154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dump or HODL these coins? on: May 04, 2020, 12:34:16 PM
None of these coins are included in the top 20 list from Coinmarketcap. And for the past 2 years or so, all of them have been on the downward trajectory. A few of them looked promising two years ago. But now it may be the time to make an exit and book the losses. From what I have seen, very few of the alts have recovered, after continuously going down for more than 2 years.
4155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 04, 2020, 12:28:10 PM
Well if our target is skill then we have clear winner "Test Format".

About T-20, i feel that we are repeating same thing again n again Smiley i suggest please check discussion on last page. got nothing new to add.

No doubt there. Test cricket requires the maximum amount of skill. The batsmen needs both attacking and defending capabilities. They need to rotate the strike. The bowlers need to take wickets at crucial intervals and bowling economically won't help much. All that is true. But for the Olympics, we need the most popular format. And right now, the most popular format in cricket is T20.
4156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think before joining any campaign on: May 04, 2020, 12:22:12 PM
many projects such as AZBI network announced the listing on the famous exchange example kraken, coinbene it and this is all just a trap to get the investor and collect a lot of money they try to cheat by creating projects that fool the bounty and investors to make money, advertise free AZBI network  is a scam.

AZBI is not an exception. There are thousands of similar projects out there. Even I had the misfortune of participating in a few bounty campaigns, which promoted similar projects. A lot of them attract investors and bounty hunters by saying that they will list the token in some big exchange. But in the end, this promise is never kept. In case the project manages to reach the soft-cap level, it may get listed in some unknown exchange.
4157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't hate long term promotions on: May 04, 2020, 12:16:09 PM
Is this a joke? What do you really expect from the bounty hunters? Do you want them to toil around, without any payment for 12-13 months? I would have agreed to long-term promotions, if the payment was guaranteed. Can the promoters guarantee a minimum amount for each of the bounty hunters? I am not talking about very large amounts. Even 5% or 10% of the promised bounty may be enough. They can keep this amount in an escrow. But then, none of the promoters are ready for that. They just want slave labor from the bounty hunters.
4158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 04, 2020, 12:10:26 PM
Holding is bit late to party but hard to disagree with him when he talks about the test format. Let's hope ICC do some fine tuning next time.

Tldr : WTC points system sucks  Grin

‘It doesn’t work’: Michael Holding takes aim at World Test Championship

I am not a big fan of this World Test Championship. We have the ICC test rankings, and I guess that is enough. Having a championship stretching over many years is a bad idea. And that too with a boring format such as test cricket. I would like to see some immediate changes to the way test cricket is played, and WTC is not the answer. First and foremost, we need two divisions in test cricket. And there needs to be a promotion-relegation system attached to it. I would rather suggest a third division for associate nations (with one team getting the promotion to the top tier in every 4 years), but then the current test nations such as Zimbabwe and Ireland may oppose that idea.
4159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: May 04, 2020, 12:04:06 PM
In a fair and open world without cheat by mail voting.. Trump wins 90% of the vote hands down.

but that's not the world we live in. the media is owned by the same people that want him out and they will be raising Joe's fake poll numbers
like they did with Hillary as time goes on.  for do nothing democrats it pays to lie and cheat. just look at Bloomberg, day one he announced no candidate investigations for Dems but yes for Trump..

Pretty sure Trump will come out on top. He should get 90% of the vote but because of the rigged society we live in he will win with 52% or so.

From where did you get this idea about "fake polls"? Opinion polls and exit polls have resembled the actual results very closely, at least for the past several decades. However, what happened in 2016 was an exception. Many of the Trump supporters in the rust-belt region never disclosed their voting preference to the opinion polls, because of fear of backlash against them. Also, the opinion polls at that time over-predicted the voter turnout among the Democrat voters.
4160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: May 03, 2020, 02:53:42 PM
Just 8 days remain for the block reward halving and I am getting more and more skeptical with every passing day. The prices have risen by 20% during the last couple of weeks. But I was expecting a more long-lasting spike before the reward halving. And another thing is that the volumes have remained at low levels and there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm in the market.
