4161  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of CRYPTO GAMBLING & BETTING SITES with bonus & promo codes! Site And App on: October 08, 2020, 08:28:24 PM
What kind of innovations would you like to see on our website? How can we improve our website and mobile app?
I haven't tried out the app yet but from the website I do not like the layout and the flashy banners all over. It looks like a paid spot website where all the space is been paid by sponsors and I cannot even properly read about bonuses either.

The user ratings you have on your website also needs to be worked upon because a competitor can easily make fake account and destroy the reputation of the casino and while I am not saying that having bad reviews on your website will bring a very bad image because it is not significant but being the owner of the website it is your responsibility to make sure there is no possible way for anyone to harm another casino's reputation without a proper reason and proofs.
If there is a legit and reputed casinos then its reputation may not be ruined by some fake accounts because the number of unique users are huge compared but yeah its better to add one unique user can post one review about a site ir something like that. I see 1xbit is on the top but as far as I know their reputation is not that much great on bitcointalk.
4162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't accept 0 confirmation tx on: October 08, 2020, 07:29:50 PM
Check this thread- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5279758.0
OP has been scammed because they accepted tx without a single confirmation. It's possible to manipulate a tx in such cases where scammer will send you the fund and make sure they have received what they have paid for and later they will create another tx with higher fee with the same input. The later tx will get confirmed and yours one will be invalid.
Therefore, don't accept zero confirmation tx. Wait for at least 1 confirmation.

Based on that story OP is a seller and he accepts Cryptocurrency for payment to his product, he is a newbie seller and naive, he should know how transaction works, he should have wait for the right number of confirmation before he send the product, every coin has a required number of transactions and he should be aware of that.

it is a tough call that someone will accept BTC without even knowing how the network is functioning, but you should never blame the victim

someone tried to allow BTC payments, and after scam like this one, he will probably give up on BTC payment, which is not a good thing for a mass adoption, and one should always show empathy to the victim, and not blame one to have not being too serious to read all the small letters included
But someone is ignorant about the crypto payments they should get the knowledge first before receiving the funds, maybe he lost the money but it is a good lesson and will keep him aware of this forever and also he might teach other people about which mistakes should be avoided to save ourselves from scams.
4163  Economy / Reputation / Re: What to do if there's an inappropriate feedback I see on: October 08, 2020, 05:25:00 PM
If you feel a feedback send by someone which isn't valid then you can create a thread regarding it and invite people for public discussions because I don't think PM will work with that case.Or else you just ingore the person from your trust list since you feel that they are not giving valid feedbacks then they have no reason to be on your trust network.
4164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: -be guarded- enough of a other boards topics on this board on: October 08, 2020, 02:57:23 PM
99% of the topics getting posted on this board shouldn't be here including yours too. But I guess we're tired of using the moderator button (as the more you report and topics get moved, the more new ones are created) lol.
Even moderators tired of them, because lot of my reports were unhandled for a very long time and I am sure that all of them were related to moving the threads from here to their appropriate section.
4165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: P2P Bitcoin Volume Hitting All-Time Highs on: October 08, 2020, 05:38:46 AM
I feel that covid 19 played a big role for the increase in the trading volume on such countie and maybe on lot more other countries as well, people lost jobs and not much options for people to choose and few people might heard that they can trade bitcoins and other cryptos to make money in short time so they went for it and the people who got successful with the crypto trading will keep doing this been after the pandemic ends.

Hmm, trading on Paxful and making fast money in a short time can be achieved only in one way, find people desperate enough to sell or buy coins with a real big difference on the price on other exchanges, which also means taking advantage of people who are forced to trade there and have no option. Sorry, but labeling trading there and making money in those times as a solution is not really working, the same way you could paint pawnshop as angels during a crisis when everybody is desperate for money and selling everything from their house.
Trading at a profit means someone sold at a loss, and you won't be able to get more money than what people lose.
Day trading is profitable and highly risky thing so it is not possible for anyone to start making money from the day 1 but they are forced to do that since they literally can't do anything probably due to loss of jobs and there is no stimulus like what happened in the developed countries. If you have $1000 as capital and literally it is possible to make at least $20 or $30 which is really big amount in the third world countries and it is even higher than daily wages of most of the jobs there.
4166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk or Cryptotalk? What is the best forum for a beginner? on: October 07, 2020, 07:14:15 PM

But they are not against zero value posts because all they want is quantity over quality and it is a known fact since when they introduced their campaign on bitcointalk. Smiley

They've been way more stringent compared to last time, from the 100 posts minimum to the banning of several countries.

Still, the shitposts are inevitable there.
Banning people based on the region doesn't look convenincing because there is no border to knowledge even someone from third world countries can have better knowledge compared to the guy from well developed countries and literally thry banned countries because they don't want to pay the people for that pay per post campaign on cryptotalk.
4167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk or Cryptotalk? What is the best forum for a beginner? on: October 07, 2020, 04:26:53 PM
For several days already on cryptotalk forum there is a drop of DLRS tokens to get which you need to write 100 posts per week. Nobody knows what a token is, but activity on the forum is just huge and the posts are written by people who do not even understand what the cryptocurrencies are.
Are there rule for plagiarism and ban on rule-breaker (plagiarism, ie.)? Zero or low value posts probably come from plagiarism. I guess no rule, no ban.
Plagiarism is also against the cryptotalk forum https://cryptotalk.org/topic/4748-report-plagiarism-copypaste/

But they are not against zero value posts because all they want is quantity over quality and it is a known fact since when they introduced their campaign on bitcointalk. Smiley
4168  Economy / Economics / Re: People lose Faith and Hope for banking and tradional markets on: October 07, 2020, 02:13:57 PM
You call yourself as economist then do you really think is it possible to hit 100K in one week?

Never possible no matter how kuch people prefer cryptos as best investment right now.
4169  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin talk could fix the spam in one move....REMOVE SIGNATURE...Right?? on: October 07, 2020, 12:27:54 PM

So funny.  Merit was the last try...and banning sigs are next on the chopping block

Sig spam is worse the ever

And no, we don't need to pay people to post... in order to keep this forum alive.

Forum is not paying the people! Grin

Of course the next will be remove of signature ban if the spam getting out of the hand but for now it seems we see far less spam compared to previous years so its really a success for the merit system.
4170  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 07, 2020, 11:30:24 AM
We have China, they can make anything in real fast and Trump already stated that they started to produce three different kinds of vaccines and which one passes the clinical trials will be given to the people so it won't take half a decade, to be honest. Only a few countries may not be able to create enough vaccines real quick but hopefully, other countries will help them in that and trap them with future trade contracts like what China did.
not to be harsh but it would be better if we leave this job to those that are real expert on this field because life is at risk on here .  its okay if the vaccines that they produce is not enough but atleast they produce something and that can still lessen the case  .

while other positive cases can still isolate themselves so that the spread will stop while waiting for another production of vaccine . china country can still help in the form of making ppe's and other useful products that aids covids and non covid patients .
AFAIK, China is not going to support every country even if they produce successful vaccine due to political reasons but they are not the only vaccine producer and as I mentioned China is in the process already so they can issue the vaccine when its get the proper approval.
4171  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: October 06, 2020, 08:10:30 PM
This situation occurs all around the world and there is no sign of stopping. Meat in my country especially porks, is extremely high even though the government tried everything they could to prevent the price from going higher. The price is currently lower than the past month but it still very expensive if we compare it with the early of this year. Our economy will recover but it will never be the same. The price will remain as high as it is right now and salary might increase in order for people to afford to buy food
Don't expect the increase in salary because unemployment is at its peak so there is no reason for your salary to be increased,if you are from a country where the unemployment is under control then you can expect such things. In my country people are losing their jobs, business also going down on most sector better we need to survive before expecting the increase in our standard of life.
4172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: P2P Bitcoin Volume Hitting All-Time Highs on: October 06, 2020, 05:37:32 PM

Normally people on LBC and Paxful are going to trade with someone  who is from the same country so banking transaction will not take that much longer and there are other payment modes are available here which is almost instant but highly risky compared to banking transactions. There are traders who is making decent profits from trading on peer to peer as long as they are not getting trapped into the sudden dump.
You are not totally safe even with the bank transfer. Because if you are greed, you will choose offers with too high discount rates -- that obviously unrealistic if your mind is fresh and you are not greed, then you will go to choose trade partners with limited trade history. They can be hackers or use stolen fiats to do money laundering through Bitcoin. They use stolen fiats to buy bitcoin, and go ahead.

The rule #1: choose old, reputable, high past trading volume with acceptable, realistic discount rate in their offers. You will be fine.
The rule #2: Don't forget or break rule #1 because you are greed.

About other payment methods, like giftcards, they are more risky and you need to be experienced to trade with such payment methods. Anyway, the rule #1 is still applicable.
I am fully aware of what you are saying because having year of experience already on LBC and I even mentioned the same advice on many threads for the people who are trading and looking for better price on peer to peer exchange.Even the traders with huge trading volumes are not to be trusted if they are not have trusted feedback in the recent time.Bank transfer is somewhat safer than other because we can file a charge back in case of scam and if we are buying bitcoins but when selling we need to be more careful.

Paxful is not a platform which lends itself to day trading for profit. As with all peer-to-peer exchanges (centralized and decentralized), the buying and selling spread is usually too large to be able to day trade for a meaningful profit, and even if it weren't, it takes far too long to process a trade because the fiat banking system is slow. If I want to transfer fiat to someone's bank account, for example, it usually takes at least a few hours to process, but sometimes up to a few days. It is impossible to try to day trade with that kind of delay.

4176  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin hacked on: October 04, 2020, 08:41:26 PM
Sounds like this was an inside job. According to a tweet from the CEO:

Quote
After a thorough investigation, we have found the suspects of the 9.26 #KuCoin Security Incident with substantial proof at hand. Law enforcement officials and police are officially involved to take action.

https://twitter.com/lyu_johnny/status/1312359615091277824

I assume they could only ascertain that sort of proof internally if the thief were a Kucoin employee. That's a very positive development since it means the thief will probably cooperate with the investigation.

They've reopened deposits and withdrawals for 3-4 dozen coins and tokens so far. They say withdrawals will be reopened for major coins like BTC, ETH, and USDT shortly. I won't celebrate until my BTC and USDC are safely out of the exchange, but it looks like Kucoin will recover from this.
Somewhere on bitcointalk I saw the same tweet and where they discuss that Kucoin didn't really identified who wast the culprit but they found the address used and made them into public so all other exchange can blacklist the address so the hacker may not be able to cashout the funds.

Hope people's funds are same as Kucoin promised.
4177  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: October 04, 2020, 06:47:27 PM
Any updates for the mintdice V.2? Its been a while but seems that there is no updates on the progress of migration to the V2.
Is getting close already or can we expect to know how much (in percentage) is the progress for the big update to V.2?
I think most users who have heard about this plan is still wondering while waiting at the same time.
As I've heard you will bring much more promotions when the v.2 is ready, will it be ready before new year or will it be next year? Just curious..
Couple of weeks earlier they mentioned they are looking to release it before the end of this year but still there is no accuracy on it I guess because they are facing issues due to the pandemic so very small things take lot of time to get them done. I am also looking for the new games and curious about how it could affect the crypto gambling users.
4178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin illiteracy due to online exchanges on: October 04, 2020, 04:37:57 PM
I was having a discussion on a forum, because I suggested bitcoin as an extra payment method except paypal. Unfortunately, online exchanges seem to have caused illiteracy to people on how bitcoin works. Also, most of the people that used bitcoin on online exchanges seem not to like it the way it works. I wish they read a little bit more of what bitcoin truly is.

You can read the thread here: https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11752
Exchanges also here to make profits like every crypto user so literally, they don't care about teaching bitcoin for payment mode because if this starts to happen then trading will starts to deplete over time so they just want to keep the things going on until it is good for them. In my opinion, every bitcoin user knows what is bitcoin created for but what for they are currently using.
4179  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this right way to fill weekly quota for signature campaign? on: October 04, 2020, 06:29:18 AM
I think its time to add a new rule to the signature campaigns, like when someone wants to add an article or any other news content should be included inside tags

Code:
[quote]....... article or anything which taken from other websites....[/quote]
so it won't be counted towards the number of characters needed for that post to become eligible.

By this rule, any signature participant won't be facing any issues while sharing any important content.
4180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is coin who Will compete with very soon on: October 03, 2020, 06:01:22 PM
There is one coin who Will do that.

Its called monero!

Soon it Will move to top market Cap coins.

Lol I forget to mention that economy knowledge is Not a limit of my knowledge
XMR is one of the coin should be in the top list of coinmarket value but for regulation issues and some issues in the recent security of Monero cost them to be in more dump. When people started to give importance to their privacy more than anything they will go with Monero.
