4161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are back with another trick. Be alert!!! on: August 01, 2020, 12:01:17 PM
Have you reported this video on YouTube first?
It's our main duty to report it to YouTube. Then our second duty to make awareness by spreading to mass people or in this forum.
Anyway Thanks for sharing this new trick of scammers.

The video has already been taken down as we speak.
4162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are back with another trick. Be alert!!! on: July 31, 2020, 01:33:19 PM
This is quite sad Embarrassed because I have seen these same ads not only youtube but twitter. Worst part is that people who fall for these are generally those who are at their lowest point. Person who is financially stable won't go looking for ways to quickly double his money. I think social media platforms in general should do much better job at spotting them.

It's easier to fool people on Twitter because of the verified tags.

But without scams, there wouldn't be awareness. Not saying that everyone should get scammed, but as a victim myself, I've learned to be way more wary of social engineering after that fateful incident.
4163  Other / Meta / Re: Huge donations to bitcointalk on: July 31, 2020, 01:28:40 PM
You don't need to use google ads. Theymos doesn't seem keen on adding additional revenue sources anyway, but you could just add more banners here if you wanted more income from adverts. As I suggested before, having one at the top of sub boards would be lucrative and companies can target what areas they want to advertise in ie a gambling company would advertise in a gambling board.

Yes, that's pretty viable. Another way is to also feature sponsored/ prioritized posts or stickies to boost their presence.

By the way, theymos solely determines the advertisers (from the bidding), right?

I'm not sure what that means.

I think what he meant that it's style of censorship; mods deleting at their own discretion.

@casdinyard thanks for your encouragement towards my growth.
Definitely I promised to make a quality post so that beginners will also learn from me the way I learnt from other senior members in the forum.
Even me I keep on learning from people post everyday and always to acquire more knowledge of bitcoin because I really loved bitcoin with passion,so therefore I can't hesitate to research and observe the method of making a quality posts.
Now that i have reached a membership rank I really know that I have a long way to go and also hard working in order to step in next level.
I really appreciate your advice.

It's not necessary to force yourself to make quality posts, but rather treat it like an ordinary forum by simply communicating with members. Entertaining/ Funny ones can also be merited, and not just those fully written like an article.

Fine, until COVID came along.

What made you return? The bulls in town? Grin
4166  Other / Off-topic / Re: reddit mods topping on: July 31, 2020, 12:51:10 PM
Not really, I just said that its technically possible to bruteforce satoshi/exchange/other address (LBC), swing the price with it and hijack the consensus) Then someone said that LBC were breaking only brain wallets https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/hoez11/why_is_bitcoin_still_more_popular_and_more/fxhj4sx?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x and then mods picked it up saying brain wallets not even bitcoin ahahahah

You know, that subreddit is pretty much a circlejerk so anything that goes against their beliefs are pretty much demonized.

And no surprise, your comment got downvoted too. Herd mentality.
4167  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tutorial Get Backlink For Your Crypto Site on: July 31, 2020, 12:44:42 PM
One good method is to add your site to your signature, and make productive posts to contribute to the forum. You can increase your thread views by using descriptive narrative, rather than trying to turn your post into a web page that people will skip.  I didn't read the bulk of your post for example.

Well, I did check out BT and it's a video uploading site. So what OP suggested was that you create a profile and add your link(s), but that's that. If you don't upload any video (which is the sole point of exposure and he either skipped this or didn't want to post), that's pretty much pointless as simply doing the same thing on any other website/ forum without contributing at all.
4168  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Stake diamond account for sale on: July 31, 2020, 12:36:09 PM
Where does this break the ToS?!? I just checked, there is only an aligment where it says:

The Service is intended solely for the User’s personal use. The User is only allowed to wager for his/her personal entertainment and may not create multiple accounts, including for the purpose of collusion and/or abuse of service.

Well, you can argue until the cows come home but it boils down to the admin(s) final decision. Of course some services are fine with transfer of ownership but remember, everyone that register is at the mercy of the service provider.

Stunna has already made it clear that it's prohibited, so do you still want to take the risk by going against his words? Wink
4169  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: July 31, 2020, 12:27:11 PM

Irrespective of him constantly having 2 or more shitposts  weekly, he still deliver some posts worth rewarding which he gets from me weekly, I might missed some irritating posts due to some human error which I'm not immune to so when you see such posts, you make use of the report button and let the moderators have the finally say.

In reviewing my participants weekly posts, occasional I report posts I find not suiting to the forum, you should do that too when you encounter them. Probably the users would be better off getting some warning for constant spamming. Normally I just decline the not so worthy posts when I encounter them but guess that isn't getting the issue resolved.

Ps; I will put more thought into combating this issue but for the main time make use of the report button.

FatFork has a point. And another guy (S, most should know who I'm referring to) also regurgitates the same word salad on whatever was mentioned earlier. Some members have also posted his quotes on the earlier pages on this thread.

While we could only do so much, the campaign names have been associated with shitposters and tend to make us look "bad".

On the other hand, whenever I see one of them, chances are that account belongs to either 777 or Bitvest.

Btw CB, I hope you're not offended since this is a legit feedback, but we believe you've been performing well as a CM and we want the best for all of us.
4170  Other / Meta / Re: An unfair treatment of Bitcointalk moderators on: July 31, 2020, 12:20:15 PM
Well, not too long ago there was a case whereby a Legendary member referred a friend that plagiarized and got permbanned despite being guided. In the end, there's zero-tolerance on that.
4171  Other / Meta / Re: Limit on image file size when posting on: July 31, 2020, 12:16:23 PM
...but it's quite pricy for me, around $28 bucks as of now I think.

Indeed, $30 as we speak. And that's not even silver, let alone golden membership.
4172  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Stake diamond account for sale on: July 31, 2020, 09:26:57 AM
$3000 for the account?!

My account is Platinum and it took me months to get there, slowly slowly...

Well, the daily reload I have is $10/day and maybe because I don't use it too much - but honestly $250/day - sounds like it's too goo to be true....

How much did you wager in total to get there?
4173  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 30, 2020, 06:14:44 PM
Hm, even if it is only a "small" win, it is still the 5th highest possible prize at Free Spins.
I won the 4th highest possible prize at free spins only 2 days ago.
But somehow this is moving in the wrong direction... Grin

I think you're the luckiest guy here to actually get that close a few times within a short timespan.

Also, don't forget the rest of us once you you managed to get 9998 - 10000.
4174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger 1 Mln Users Data Under Attack on: July 30, 2020, 06:06:16 PM
And  seeing the advertisement in youTube from time to time?lol

You mean those giveaway videos? I hardly come across those, but there are some ads with a self-claimed "marketing guru" who keeps telling the viewers to stop watching YouTube videos and start making money on the Internet. That one is annoying as hell.
4175  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Stake diamond account for sale on: July 30, 2020, 05:38:22 AM
Im pretty sure this account will be instabanned pretty quickly after being bought...

Since it has already been posted in the official thread and has already received stunnas attention.

Just keep the account and make yourself the supposedly $250 a day...  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Well then, OP's gonna have a very hard time selling it now Grin
4176  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake 3 Out Now!!! 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: July 30, 2020, 05:37:49 AM
I just saw this(quoted below) is account sale from your website allowed? obviously I can't afford it and won't bother buying an account. I am just curious whether it is allowed or there will be a penalty for those who will be caught buying an account(I am not sure how you'll differentiate a bought account though).

Most, if not all sites don't allow transfership of accounts because they violate the TOS.
4177  Other / Meta / Re: Huge donations to bitcointalk on: July 30, 2020, 05:35:14 AM
Start using Google Ads and scammers will use it to advertise phishing websites pretending to be Ledger and Trezor. Search "Ledger" on Google and sometimes you will get a scam website asking for your seed. We don't need Newbies coming here, saying that they got scammed by an ad they saw on the forum (also, ponzis).

Google sucks. At least theymos knows what he is doing when he accepts someone's banner in the ad rounds.

Another thing is that Google only allows certified licensed gambling websites to advertise their businesses. So lack of competition and more repetition of ads.
4178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger 1 Mln Users Data Under Attack on: July 30, 2020, 05:27:45 AM
if your email is leaked, expected to see alot of spam investment offer on your inbox  Grin

In times like these, I wouldn't mind multiplying my Bitcoin with the likes of Elon Musk Grin
4179  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Stake diamond account for sale on: July 30, 2020, 05:24:54 AM
How would this sell make any sense?
Also, the daily reload is calculated for the previous action "Reload is calculated based on your previous 7 days wagered amount. Your previous 7 days profit is also then calculated. If your profit is negative on the previous 7 days, you will receive an additional amount on your reload amount." , so there is no fixed amount.

Forget the reload, the buyer has to worry about the account being wrest away sooner or later after making the payment Grin
4180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to win at casino on: July 30, 2020, 05:22:06 AM
Exactly this. Many people aren't very aware of casinos being run with a skewed house edge. It's a notion many people fail to understand. So long as any strategy requires you to win against the house, it will always fail in the long term. Only in occasions where you can win against other players maybe strategies could be utilized and prevail.

Even without strategy, the house always wins in the long run Grin
