Any team had a chance na mag-champion.

I'm very positive that Calvin will be playing once PBA resumes.
4162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 07, 2020, 12:37:10 AM
One of the winner of this PBA break is NorthPort Phoenix because Abueva's missed game in the Philippine Cup could be less than expected or nothing at all.

Does the PBA commissioner or Abueva itself tell the public already about the last thing that the latter need to do in order to get back in PBA? I haven't heard it yet.

I doubt the suspension of PBA will change the timeline for Abueva's return since Marcial surely froze the terms too.

Since Abueva is just staying at their home right now, the task can't be done as a pre-requisite for him to come back.

Got a typo here, it should be Phoenix.

Commissioner Marcial have not announced it yet but basing on his statement, it's not far that he will lift the ban. There's no timeline on this matter, it's the discretion of the commissioner on when he will lift, considered that Abueva have also done his share.

Quote
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial has taken notice of the charity works Calvin Abueva has done of late especially when he distributed packed foods in the San Juan area at this time of the coronavirus pandemic.

And Marcial is the first to acknowledge the big character change in the man they called ‘The Beast.’

“Si Calvin nakita kong namimigay sa mga drivers,” said the PBA chief in a radio interview on Saturday. “Nakita ninyo naman malaki ang pinagbago ni Calvin.”

4163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: April 06, 2020, 10:11:03 PM
Donaire is capable but isnt enough but this guy will really give out a good fight and im excited with that but we know
on what is the current global condition atm thats why we would need to wait longer for this fight to be resumed.
~snip~

Everybody is expecting for Donaire to win the fight since he's much more experienced and bit older or tougher but Inoue do prove out on what a young man can do.

Lots didnt expect for it to happen specially into its filipino fans out there but still he did his best to give a good fight.I do even tell myself that he might able to win the fight
if he havent get that liver blow.

We have seen on how Inoue been affected with Donaires jabs and even bleed his nose in the middle of the fight. For Casimero which is more younger and bit more aggressive
then it would surely be an interesting one.

No, not everybody is expecting Donaire to win that fight with Inoue, in fact he was the underdog on the bookies, that makes the fight interesting and exciting. The odds were really tempting and given the capabilities of Donaire to knock out opponents with just a punch, many bet for him, including me of course. He may have lost the fight but he also exposed Inoue's weakness which is a good baseline for the Casimero camp.

PBA update:

They are eyeing the two-conference and one conference format, whichever is applicable given to the time constraint.

4165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Project 2020, suddenly stopped! on: April 06, 2020, 09:22:47 PM
recently I saw the best prize projects in 2020 (INSURE) and tokens (SURE) already registered on the CoinmarketCap website.
- 1 SURE = $0.015725   Roll Eyes
but suddenly the project stopped for a reason??

It's best because it's already in the Coinmarketcap? There are many characteristics of a good project but if for you being in the Coinmarketcap is one then go on, it's your opinion.

Why not ask the team on why the project stopped? If your are one of the investors or even just a bounty hunter, you should have communication to the team for you know the progress of that project. If they stop without them giving reasons then that's a red flag for a scam project.

Pulev To Donate Half His Purse From Joshua Fight To Help Battle Coronavirus

Quote
Bulgarian heavyweight Kubrat Pulev, the IBF's mandatory challenger, has vowed to donate half of his purse from the upcoming showdown with IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO world champion Anthony Joshua.

The boxer said he wants to help medical workers fight the "devilish" coronavirus.

The 38-year-old veteran is expected to earn around $5 million from the fight, which has been postponed due to the pandemic.

https://www.boxingscene.com/pulev-donate-half-his-purse-from-joshua-fight-help-battle-coronavirus--148093

My heart melted away when I read this article. Pulev said that he is willing to donate half of his purse, so that's $2.5 million to help the front liners in the fight for the Covid-19 pandemic. I know that there are a lot of sports personalities who are already helping or who are willing to help but this move from Pulev was very kind of him.

Yes, that a very good act from him and i do hope that Anthony Joshua would do the same, maybe not half because it's too much  Smiley.

I think sports personalities from all over the world do this because they realize that if this pandemic would go on for months, they will be the ones affected also. The amount they are donating is just penny when everything would be back to normal.
4167  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Waiver form on: April 06, 2020, 08:23:23 PM

4168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: April 05, 2020, 09:55:32 PM
Checking on the poll there are many of us here supports Casimero, it's so unfortunate that the fight might not push through but Casimero should stay in safe and always be on peak and get the right time to come back home if he gets the permission, the pandemic is on the rise we are on a peak although there are many breakthrough about vaccine.

Maybe because most of the Filipino boxing fans are very supportive of their compatriot, me included and the fact that most of those who voted in the poll are Filipinos, no doubt that Casimero won via landslide  Smiley.

The fight will push through, it's not cancelled just postponed. Both boxers just need to survive this pandemic and not succumbed to it.

I don't call myself a veteran in this crypto world pero almost three years na rin akong nakaranas o nakakita ng paggalaw ng presyo ng BTC at mga altcoins. If i were you, don't invest just because we are on a bloodshed because we don't know if it is the dip already. That's why i don't talk openly to my families about crpyto dahil napaka-complicated ang bagay na ito.

My suggestion to you, use bitcoin, don't invest and you will know it's value in the future.
4170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: April 05, 2020, 08:21:32 PM
I can share the current situation here in our country.
One of the famous gambling scenes here is cockfighting. But because of this recent coronavirus outbreak.
The government has a temporary shutdown for all cockfighting.
But still, there are some people even government employees organized a illegal cockfighting which is the only secret for some people what to gamble.
This is really the cause of being a gambling addict, they always find a ways to gamble even they have to obey the law.
~snip~
They are really dumb, one of the positive victims of coronavirus (covid19) was a cockfighting gambler from Davao City I think and he went to a cockfighting stadium in Davao City before he was tested for positive in coronavirus (covid19), and I think he was dead now. And the government of said city already contacting all gamblers went to the stadium. It's extremely dangerous, I am thinking also that gambling can kill you Cheesy, even you will go home with lot of winnings but you are not aware of your health and you may also put the lives of your family at risk.

What you are saying above is becoming a nightmare in that place as 12 of the people who went to that arena had been infected with the corona virus and it could exponentially grew if authorities fails to contact trace everyone that interacted with the infected.

This kind of thing will surely change the landscape of the cockfighting industry as well as to the gamblers or cockfight enthusiasts. Intelligent gamblers won't go anymore to this kind of place as they know already the danger of getting diseases, (not just COVID) in this crowded arena.

Wow, it looks like Calvin Abueva will be back soon.
here's the latest news about our Idol, lol..
(.....)
Glad to hear this. Even what Calvin Abueva did in the past, I know he is still good and tough player on PBA, he got the balls! One of the best local player for me, he is really tough guy.
I hope to see Calvin Abueva on PBA again. Since I also watched him playing on some local league on some city in the Philippines which he was able to play as import on some team (this was after his suspension on PBA). I just watched it on Facebook before.

Yeah, he's such a good player and he deserve a second chance to be back in the PBA, after all he is also human that could made mistakes in life but we do hope that this time he learned the lessons well.

One of the winner of this PBA break is NorthPort because Abueva's missed game in the Philippine Cup could be less than expected or nothing at all. We all know that Phoenix with Abueva in it is a power house specially on the defensive end of the floor.

Quote
THE Department of Health-Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (DOH-Resu) in Davao Region said they are tracing some 400 personalities who had exposure to the New Davao Matina Gallera in Matina, Davao City after 12 cock derby goers have been confirmed positive with coronavirus disease (Covid-19), including the four who succumbed to the disease.

Dr. Cleo Fe Tabada, medical officer of DOH-Resu-Davao, said the 12 had travel history to the cockpit. Contact tracing is being conducted by their surveillance team to check whether the people in the cockpit had close contact with the 12 before their result came out.

4173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 03, 2020, 10:58:38 PM
The weird fact is that he needs 666 points to reach that 10,000 points club. The good thing with Arwind Santos is that he is not a battered player since the arrival of Fajardo so i think he can still play ball even at the age of 42, he's very disciplined with his body also. The question that lingers on my mind is that "can he reach that 10,000 points before the age of 40?".
~snip~

With your post above i'm intrigued and dig up the points made by Santos last season, here's what i've found.

2019 Philippine Cup (10 games) - 146 points.
2019 Commissioner's Cup (10 games) 70 points.
2019 Governor's Cup (10 games) 105 points

He got a total of 321 points in the eliminations alone and we can see that Philippine Cup is his strongest. Let's just presumed that he got 500 points because they also played in the championship and play-off games. So he need at least 2 seasons to cover that 666 points needed. With things happening now, i think the PBA can't complete a season this year. He will be 40 next year in June so my guess that he will be in that elite club of 10,000 point when he is 40 years old lol.

4174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 03, 2020, 07:22:08 PM
Arwind Santos is also at 38 and will turn 39 this June. Still, lots of works to be included in the 10,000 point mark as we know the SMB team has lots of scorers.

I agree with that, Santos although a good shooter but most of his shots now are just in 3 point range, he is not really the main scorer of the team so it will be hard for him to catch up. Anyway, to be included in top 20 is already a good achievement, that means he is better than the other players that is not included in the list, I'm even surprise I have not seen castro on the list.

He will struggle to reach that far since the ball is shared on smb and also the age factor is a huge burden plus there's current disease occuring which really affect his milestone, so for this I don't think he can reach that not unless if he still play balls at the age of 40.

The weird fact is that he needs 666 points to reach that 10,000 points club. The good thing with Arwind Santos is that he is not a battered player since the arrival of Fajardo so i think he can still play ball even at the age of 42, he's very disciplined with his body also. 4175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: April 03, 2020, 06:51:13 PM
Speaking of Casimero, he wanted to go home to Philippines with his family. However, he is afraid that he might get the virus in the US. I can't blame him though, he is away from his family and he just wanted to make sure that everything is ok down in the Philippines. On the other hand, he is torn leaving the US because he might be infected along the way.

Quote
The 31-year-old Casimero, who resides in Ormoc, still wants to be with his family during this trying time. He informed the Philippines’ largest newspaper that in addition to safety concerns, travel restrictions and financial considerations have made flying from Las Vegas to Manila difficult.

“It’s just dangerous here in the U.S.,” Casimero said. “Many people have the virus and I might even be able to [interact with] a passenger with the virus on the plane. I really want to go home now because I haven’t been able to tell exactly when the fight is going to happen.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/philippines-casimero-fears-leaving-las-vegas-during-covid-19-pandemic--148030

Maybe he already got bored there in the US that's why he is contemplating on going back to the Philippines. The best thing for him to do now is to stay put in the US, if he fear to get contaminated with the virus then he should stay indoors. If things gets worst in the US and he contacted the disease i think he can shrugged it off just like another punch that hit his body. He is young and a very healthy individual, he won't die from this virus.

Thanks to this big companies who are complying with the president, they are bringing help to those less fortune people. It's a big lift as we knew
that the government can't handle everything but with the help of this different companies it will reach those who are in need.
Front-liners are very important right now and providing them the help will also help those that they are assisting.

It's the right time for these big companies to shine. Ramon S. Ang is a supporter of President Duterte on this time of crisis as he poured whatever resourses that he had to help the government on this fight. Government alone will be having a hard time containing this virus, they need the help of the business elite. After all when everything is over these big businesses will be the ones to gain something. They might be exempted to pat taxes for a year as an appreciation to what they have done  Grin.

Ours has been given one day before the enhance community quarantine take effect, our barangay officials give it house to house. I heard on other barangays in our city that some of the residents have to go to the barangay hall to get their HQP which for me is very risky of contamination of the disease and physical distancing rule is violated.

Is the HQP ^^ yours?

edit:

I've just read above that you are moving to Lapu-lapu City, meaning that HQP is yours. Welcome to LLC my friend. I can say that this place is not as risky as New York for now but still it's safe if we just stay at home.

@bisdak40, if this is available in sprortsbook for betting, then I think it would be more exciting, I heard that Pingris was really playing online games but my first time to hear that Fajardo is also playing too.

Fajardo is already an online gamer since his ABL (Asean Basketball League) days. Junjun Cabatu was his partner back then and the later was also responsible in introducing him to Marc Pingris, that's one reason why they become best of friends.

I don't think this will be covered by the bookies as this is only a friendly tournament and a "play for a cause" event so they might not take it seriously.
