4161  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Am I in a Scam? on: July 27, 2019, 02:39:19 PM
Hello, I've been approached by a FOREX trader and Bitcoin Miner on Instagram. They've told me to setup an account on a website www.aquilaoption.com. I've invested a sum and they are asking for more to invest in. No trading activities has been done, but with a lack of a phone call to discuss this and continuing to dodge the idea of a phone call, I feel as though I am in a scam. But I want to get this SOB, can anyone on here validate the website with past experiences or if it is real? I am new to this and wanted to invest my hard earned money, but I feel as though I will never get it back again and feel really stupid.  Embarrassed
The website seems to be completely new. Only one matching result when you google aquilaoption. High chance is website is a scam. Why would a random FOREX trader and Bitcoin Miner approach you and tell you to invest on a random website? Because they want to scam you your money. 100% return in 30 days? Man, that offer is too good to be true. Like Omega said, this is a ponzie scheme. Don't invest anymore. Try getting back your money (highly unlikely to get it). If you fail, just leave it.
4162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wait, who owns the market? on: July 27, 2019, 02:27:57 PM
No one owns the market. This is a free market were the buyers and the sellers decide the price. But unfortunately, this market can be controlled by the whales. The whales can manipulate the market anytime they want. Basically, someone holding a huge amount of coins (exchanges are also included here) can partially control the market according to their own will. But then again, it becomes risky for them to manipulate the market since other whales may take the advantage of the manipulation.
4163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: trade makes me poor on: July 27, 2019, 02:00:39 PM
If trading is making you poor, then you are doing something wrong and should stop immediately. First of all, is the first time you are trading to make profit? If it is, then why did you start with huge capital? Try trading with small amount and see how you do. Try to find out your mistakes and fix it. Keep trying with small amount until you have experienced the market and understand how it works. Then go big with all the knowledge you have gained.
4164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Think of Bitcoin Financially on: July 27, 2019, 01:35:27 PM
The price changes from minute to minute because of the hash rate? I thought bitcoin was  a free market and the price depends on the demand and supply. Coins being dumped for cheap which increases the supply causing the price to slightly fall and then at the same moment other people buying it back in high volume which increases the demand causing the price to go back and rise and then the circle keeps on going on until a whale comes in and dumps all their coins or starts buying everything causing massive fall or surge of the price.
4165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Buy large Volumes of BTC on: July 27, 2019, 01:08:51 PM
Depends on how large in volume it is. Even verified accounts in exchanges sets a limit on the amount you can buy. Again, exchanges are also never reliable. You best bet is to find someone will to sell BTC and do a peer to peer transaction. Safest and the most easiest way. A single person might not have all the BTC you need, but you can buy from several people.
Just go for p2p transaction. No hassle, safe and no extra bullshit fees.
4166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any online casino that show algo or proof of fairness? on: July 26, 2019, 07:16:28 PM
Crypto-games.net allows you to check and verify your each bets individually. There is also a dedicated tab where you can check their proof of fairness and if it is legit or not. I think most of the casino also offers this kind of feature were you can check if their provably fair algorithm is correct or not.
Anyways, you can't do much if they scam you or anything. Taking them to court and face a trial is going to be the hardest thing you will be doing. You would just be wasting your energy trying to sue them.
4167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Start a Bitcoin Casino/Sports Gambling Business (Checklist) on: July 26, 2019, 07:13:25 PM
This is just a basic way to open a bitcoin casino/sports gambling business and everyone knows or can open a casino. But the real problem is only few can survive the market There are already shit tons of casinos out there. This means that you will have a huge competition when running your casino. Why would someone use a your brand new casino when there is already enough well known reputed casino out there? Well, you will have to provide with something extraordinary that will gain users attention. Opening some generic casino will just cause you to die eventually.
4168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC Process (Sportsbook) on: July 26, 2019, 07:10:05 PM
How is the KYC Process if you deposit with Bitcoin.

- ID
- Utility Bill

what else? Proof of Deposit, example Screenshot of your Wallet? Any other torture?
Most of the sportsbook might ask you to complete the KYC process when trying to withdraw your winnings.  Just look at their Terms of Service and you will find that they can ask for documentations whenever they want. During filling the KYC form, in order to match your information, most of them will ask for a government issued ID card and to verify you current place of residence, they will ask for utility bills. Last thing they might ask is to send them a selfie of yours while holding your ID card.
4169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What messenger do you use to chat with your crypto gambling buddies? on: July 26, 2019, 07:01:14 PM
I don't think people uses any kind of "messenger" to chat with their crypto gambling buddies. Most of the casino right now has a chat system through which people can talk to each other while gambling. Again, each casino also has their own telegram or discord channel which users can join and chat anytime they want. If none of the feature is available they can always add their friends on social media sites like facebook to keep in touch.
4170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops safe? on: July 26, 2019, 05:57:18 PM
The way they usually work is they give you some string and you sign it to prove you own the address.

Could a malicious air drop make a transaction sending all your BTC to them, and then you sign it, and then they broadcast it to the network?
Or is signing a message different than signing a transaction?
As long as they don't ask you to give away your private keys or install anything (infected), you will be safe. There is no way they can access your wallet by making you sign a message. Also, some airdrops might ask you to submit KYC documents. Avoid those at all cost. High chances they will end up selling your information online.
4171  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io and sportsbet.io Bonus Scammer / Bad Support / ONLY LOOSE on: July 26, 2019, 05:54:49 PM
I've been an active member of Sportsbet.io for a long time and must say that this site is not recommended. They have a very bad customer support and it takes weeks until something is processed with them although I'm here since 2016 and have already lost several 100K there !!! Lastly, I wanted an excerpt from my complete deposits and withdrawals, but I wait until today for it !!!! .. I thought bitcasino. Io would be a better casino, but they have the same chat running on both sides and I was denied the 100% welcome bonus there, wrote the support and still get no answer Have not won anything for a long time, I think I was relieved here for years Can you help me what can I do against this or is one completely powerless? So far as I know they do not even have a proper license? Does anyone know more or agree with her? Sad
Have you read their Term and Conditions of their service? According to their Terms and Condition (stated in section 3 part 5), having multiple accounts is prohibited and doing so they have the right to close all your accounts and confiscate your funds. The next part states that if you make multiple accounts by mistake, you must notify them. I guess you didn't notify them. According to the last post made by their staff, it looks like you had multiple accounts. I don't see anything wrong here for now. If they can prove that those accounts are yours, they can ban you and take away all your funds. Hope you are able to resolve your issue with them.
4172  Economy / Economics / Re: Crimes involving crypto have risen on: July 26, 2019, 03:00:43 PM
"Nearly 2.7 trillion won ($2.3 billion) have been lost to crimes involving cryptocurrency in the last two years, according to South Korean government data."

where do you see the improvements being made against crypto criminal activity. this can really hurt the price for traders/investors if conditions don't improve.
Crimes existed from the very beginning. People steals fiat money everyday. Did we ever say that "no criminal activities will take place with crypto currencies"? Nope, we never said that. Now people may argue that they are anonymously doing all those illegal activities using crypto currencies. Well, people used to do that same thing before crypto currencies were invented. They used prepaid cards or gift cards to do those illegal activities. It is just that the media starts to exaggerate when it comes to crypto currencies.
4173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Prevent been a crypto addict. on: July 26, 2019, 02:11:36 PM
honestly, it is getting serious that most people spend over 18 to 19 hours these days on systems and mobile phones watching the market, trading on the move with their mobile. the addiction is getting out of hand. i think i am probably getting into this kind of life.
what could be the possible means of prevention. i need to have my normal life back.
Any kind of addiction is never a good thing. Now there are some factors you will have to look at. Are you wasting your time looking at the market or are you making some good profit and your living out of it? If it is the former one, then you need help. Try to focus on something else. Just forget about the market and concentrate on doing something you like during your leisure period. If it is the latter one, then there is nothing wrong. People work from for hours every day to make money. This does not mean that they are addicted to their jobs. This is just what they will have to do to survive the world.
4174  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptoroulette.world SCAM!!!!! on: July 25, 2019, 09:44:05 PM
Joined their site, with their "free" promotion. "Won" .04 BTC on my third spin. Tried to cash it out. You must deposit .015 BTC to get "verified".

I messaged their support and they said that I would have to make a deposit to withdraw  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

So I said to them, "this sounds like an email fraud scam to get your lottery winnings released". It did not get answered for a while, then I clicked to go watch the "lottery" and got "You are banned!"

https://imgur.com/a/sgltag3 you can see my "winnings"

Total fraud site. Their support email bounces back as no address. Whois shows recent registration.

Chat box is total non relevant to their ongoing lottery, just random messages that aren't conversing with any others in the room.

Sadly I have seen many people in the forum to fall for this scam. It is useless reporting their sites. The keep on changing their casino name and their domain but they still use this scamming tactic. So yeah, it might help others to notice the pattern of the scam. There are even chat box were real people talks so that the victim gets convinced that the site is actually a real legit casino.
4175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impossibility of a gambling system (Why methods don't work) on: July 25, 2019, 09:39:45 PM
All those "methods" and "strategies" are just gamblers fallacy. Indeed they may help you reduce your loss in the short run, but the results are always the same in the long run. The house will always win no matter what strategy you apply. There is no way you can break the system of gambling unless there is some sort of bug or miscalculation in the casino that can be abused for your advantage. So just fuck all those strategies and just play however you want. If you get lucky you win or else you lose.
4176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A way to dump without having a huge impact of value on: July 25, 2019, 09:24:07 PM
What do you exactly mean by "reasonable" way? Does not matter how you dump your tokens. The price will always be determined by demand and supply. If you slowly dump your tokens but the demand for the token is low, then the price will eventually go down. The process will be slow, but the price will do down in the long run. The same thing will happen if you dump your tokens at once. This time, the price fall will be instant but when the equilibrium is reached in the long run, the prices will be the same as the one when the tokens were dump slowly.
4177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has the purposed of kyc been diverted? on: July 25, 2019, 08:10:07 PM
Day in day out there are new projects requiring kyc from investors
Exchanges requiring kyc, for some in order to maximize your ability to withraw large sums of cryptocurrencies and some even before you can trade on the exchange
The bigger question is how safe are our kyc documents?
It depends to whom you submitted your KYC documents. If it is a new unknown exchange or a program, there is a high chance of the documents not being safe with them. Again, if it is a well known reputed institution or an exchange or a project, your documents will be safe but can not be guaranteed. I would suggest you to avoid those new exchanges/projects that requires you to submit KYC documents. There is a high chance they will sell your information after scamming you out.
4178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges are not recommended. on: July 24, 2019, 08:40:07 PM
I have heard that there are some exchange platforms that deceive traders and even owners of new coins, Tell us your story with a bad exchange  platforms that you do not recommend.

Help others to avoid this exchanges that cheat traders
Any particular way how the exchanges deceive traders? Anyways, I do agree that exchanges aren't the best platform (but easiest way) to exchange coins. But, there are fees that eventually add up and it is only when you make a huge exchange you realize how big and ridiculous the fees are. Again, there are chances of exchange getting hacked or scamming you. For this reason, making p2p exchange is the best thing you can do.
4179  Economy / Economics / Re: Does it helpful when blockchain integrated to government system? on: July 24, 2019, 08:30:47 PM
Do you really think the government will like to integrate the blockchain technology to their system? Here I am talking about countries with corrupted government. They would never wan't a transparent system or else how would they do their under the table jobs? Your second point which is freedom of information is also another point were the corrupted government would never want. If the have access to the details of how the government spends their, many questions will rise against them.
On other hand, if the government is actually not corrupted and wants the betterment of the citizen, then implementing this technology will be helpful and will also gain peoples trust.
4180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Online Wallet - Site Disappears on: July 24, 2019, 08:10:49 PM
Any sane person would never store huge amount of coins in an online wallet. No matter how much "secure" they claim they are, there is always a chance of them getting hacked. Again, there is also equal possibility of them scamming you your coins and just running away with your wallet. As long as you don't have access to your private keys, the coins are never your. Again, if someone else also has access to your private keys, then there is always a high chance of losing your coins. The sight may disappear, so use online wallets at your own risk/
