Don't feel too bad about it. That this story might be useful for you as a learnship for your future gambling sessions. Next time you find yourself in a similar situation, you will be aware what steps you will have to take, keeping in mind gambling without limits isn't an option, since it made much more harm than good on the last time, what consequently increased the debt you had to pay somewhere else, as the longer you take to pay it, the more interest will be charged by the loaner.

Another good side of this story is that you shared it with gambling community, so you are probably helping many others to avoid their own mistakes by watching yours!
4162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Australia to ban Pokies on: April 30, 2022, 12:50:29 AM
The mentioned measure is only going to drive gamblers to new gambling methods that can fully replace the functionality of currently slots at pubs. Virtual casinos become an accessible, affordable and feasible alternative this way. That is actually an interesting event for crypto casinos to increase their range and customers' base.

If politicians want to fight addiction among gamblers in Australia, they have to come with fresh, original ideas which go beyond the failed concept of banning and destroying machines. That approach is very popular and known already, especially at third world countries, and I can assure in no way it achieves any improvement on the goal of stopping addiction.

The problem of addiction isn't on the machines or at the casinos. The problem is inside some individuals who can't control their gambling habits and that is how the issue should start being addressed.
4163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is using 2fa safe in every way on: April 29, 2022, 09:53:40 PM
2fa is a must. I can't imagine someone using an online platform while dealing with medium to large sums of money without protecting the account with 2fa and email confirmation for transactions. It's just a very simple and easy step, but that makes total difference, without any doubts. I don't even know why passwords still exist, since they aren't enough to avoid hackers accessing your accounts. They don't protect anything and can be easily discovered by the most basic hackers automatic tools. Always make sure you are using every security measures and features the website you are signed in have to offer to customers.
4164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any unexpected incidents - Bitcoin on: April 29, 2022, 07:31:10 PM
During the start of the year one of my friend who is running a travel service gave a table calendar. I just had it, and suddenly while looking for the date saw the image of bitcoin being mentioned in the calendar. This is something unexpected and it isn't a big thing, because the editor of the calendar might've added it. However slowly bitcoin is getting displayed here and there without reason. Does this intend people to know what is it.
Your friend is trying to push bitcoin adoption up inside the touristic niche by relating the digital currency to travels, as we can see on the another images. However, I'm not sure if it's easy to use bitcoin as currency directly when travelling to most countries yet. Enthusiasts still need a middleman service (debit or credit card) dealing with bitcoin and fiat at same time and converting purchases in real time.
4165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: April 29, 2022, 06:55:14 PM
-It is not just the problem of them dying of a heart attack, it's also :

•How they are treated
•How they are beaten up on the tracks, whipped
•How they are slaughtered once they are not useful
•How some of them are denied even basic health care because it's cheaper to replace them
A LOT MORE
I think the sport and the bets don't need to be banned, but the issues you mentioned above instead. If horses are found being abused, drugged and not cared properly at all, the responsible people for them should be sued, fined and probably arrested in some cases. We know there are animals suffering in every sports they get directly or indirectly involved, although it's too extremist to ban everything because of it.

In horse racing favour I can say horses must be well cared if the managers want them to improve performance and compete for a longer time. Smart managers aren't fool to harm expensive pure breed horses, making them live for less time. That would be unprofitable. So these horses have VIP treatment, feeding and training much superior to common horses we see at pastures.
4166  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help setting up an online crypto casino on: April 29, 2022, 06:42:32 PM
Is OP alive? No more activity after just one post. He did not mention anything specific, just wrote that he wants to start a new casino. And then he ask for someone who has an interest to doing research with him,
I saw that there were many new accounts creating gambling discussion threads about planning to build a new online casino site, but it seems as if the accounts are related because they only make discussion threads about basic things to build an online casino and but suddenly the account is not active, so it indicating that he does not appreciate some of the suggestions that have been made. Although this forum is open to anyone but at least the OP should respond to the opinions and suggestions that have been given, and explain the progress of the casino project he has been running so far.
Maybe he just lost his hopes after reading most replies on this thread. Moreover, newbies looking for advices, suggestions and help for setting up an online casino usually don't have financial conditions to do this effectively or even a solid plan on how to execute this for real. They are just speculating, because it's common to hear casinos make a lot of profit, so of course everyone must have already thought about creating one for themselves to manage at least once. On the other hand, people tend to see only the bright side, ignoring all the challenges, difficulties and efforts needed in order to establish a profitable and popular gambling website.

There was a time it was almost 0,20$. Well, at least for a moment at the beginning of January, 2018, hehe. Cheesy
It seems quite hard to see a new ATH for FUN considering that initial pump...

The good old days! When freebitco.in took over FUN tokens in 2020 I remember that the price was at around 100 satoshis when I first my first tokens. Price since then has dropped a lot, but they have an interesting roadmap so with some luck we will see a new ATH somewhere next year.
From every casinos' native tokens, FUN is the best ranked one among all at this moment, at #337 position in crypto market (116,626,036$ volume). The second place is only at #647, with 31,257,737$ market volume. That is a huge difference. Compared to another tokens, FUN is the one which has more potential in my opinion, it just need more recognition, because the offered features and promotions are actually very good. Maybe they can even enter the top #100 ranking of crypto market. That would be great news and a very important boost factor in FUN price and sustainability!

Thanks! I was not sure what is the name of parameter I look for: Circulating Supply ;-)

So, there was a time when it was >$0.10, eh...

You can also confirm the information posted by freebitco.in official account at the main site, PREMIUM tab, then click the green FUN SAVINGS WITH 25% APY button. There you can see total funds locked by users on the platform.

4169  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone care about the environment? on: April 27, 2022, 09:23:33 PM
I have the perception the environment isn't a decisive factor for crypto market, because there is no valid correlation between crypto and environment. And if there was, it wouldn't influence anyway, since investors who really make the difference with their huge funds aren't worried about environmental issues, global warming theory, sustainable/autonomous way of life. As it is well known, there is a strong lobby from private sector who works in partnership with governments to make green technologies hard and expensive to be adopted by average citizens and that is why most of us don't have access to such products and services.

It would be great if I could have an electric car and my house fully working through solar system, but it just doesn't fit my budget. Then I conclude I shouldn't be concerned about it, because it's out of my control.
4170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Stop Being Greedy. on: April 27, 2022, 08:56:24 PM
No trader is perfect but mastering coins you trade on can help you, remember trading is like a gamble you either gain or loose.
You said it all. On short run trading is indeed like gambling. Even the humblest of the traders is prone to lose all his money if he makes an order on the wrong moment and there isn't really what to do about it. Maybe the currency being used is a good one too, but it doesn't matter, there are no guarantees. Maybe he is buying at the top price and won't be able to sell his coins for a long time or maybe he is selling at the bottom and won't be able to buy it for cheaper anymore... Patience is needed in crypto market and nothing is assured to happen overnight.

Trading works, but on long run. On short run it's just gambling.
4171  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: April 27, 2022, 08:17:34 PM
Practical incentive for bitcoin adoption comes from those who create the jobs opportunities in the country. No one can expect common citizens and individual merchants are going to push adoption up by themselves. The method would be much more efficient if the government and big employers paid wages in bitcoin to workers.

Moreover, adoption would also increase nicely if supermarkets networks and other important stores where you can find basic goods for daily life gave discounts for people when paying with bitcoin.

People aren't going to use bitcoin if they don't see a practical benefit on it. And to protect money against inflation and government's intervention, privacy, anonymity aren't reasons most people keep on their minds. Most people don't even save money, so they see no reason to care about that.
4172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to $DOGE after Elon Musk bought Twitter? on: April 26, 2022, 09:38:58 PM
Elon Musk is constantly changing his mind regards crypto investments. Who knows if he is going to keep endorsing DOGE or if he is going to pick another altcoin for speculative purposes or even bitcoin once again? DOGE is a memecoin, therefore you should be cautious about it, because every influences around DOGE are fragile and temporary, as there isn't a solid purpose behind to adopt and push it up, besides the fact it's considered a funny joke.

Last time I heard, when Elon was just a share holder of Twitter, he suggested the platform should accept payments in bitcoin from advertisers. If this is still the main idea, I think we could start discussing what will be the impact of this new feature over bitcoin price and adoption.
4173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: April 25, 2022, 09:14:22 PM
I'm not aware of free stuff being given away at crypto sites right now. I suggest you to save some hundreds of dollars in crypto and check for promotions from exchanges/investment platforms. One I'm aware always launch promotions is NEXO. They ask new users to deposit an amount of money (let's say 200$ in any crypto) and to let it there for a month, so after this time period you receive a reward and can withdraw all your money, if wished.

Another platform to do this was WhaleFin. It's easier to know when there is something like this available if you use Brave browser, because platforms usually advertise their promotions through Brave ads. That is how I get aware about earnings opportunities, while earning some pennies in BAT currency for viewing the ads.
There is indeed money if you are really that aware on how things been working around on this market.I was aware for this set-up even though rewards arent really that much big but it would be still considerable if you do

ask me but lets face that not all people would really be that capable on doing or providing even just 200 bucks and lets accept to that thats why they would rather be sticking on jobs which are on very basic level
of skills and a mix of common sense which they could really start up with bounties specially into this place.Once they do established out theirselves then trying to improve yourself
in terms of  earning type of skills you would mold later on.
Years ago it was much easier to earn money from zero in crypto world, but things are different now. Faucets payrates were better, there were more signature and social media campaigns on this forum (paying in btc), there were more jobs and tasks in general disponible for everyone, bounties used to be more profitable. Now I see a tough beginning for newbies, because main worthful offers demand an initial investment/payment, while "free" offers are a waste of time.

200$ seems too much for many people at first glance, but that is an achievable goal. It worths to save every pennies, because once they do this, access to better opportunities will be opened. If I can remember correctly I've earned 20$ or 40$ for holding 200$ in my NEXO account for a month time period (plus normal interest they pay). Now imagine how long it would take until making 20$-40$ from faucets, bounty campaigns and similar offers.

Maybe I'm not aware on how things have been working on this market and there are interesting opportunities for newbies around, and it would be nice if you could share some, if you are aware about them. I'm also always looking for new ideas and advices on what to do.

4175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Gen Z on: April 25, 2022, 07:21:50 PM
Millennials is the generation which pushed bitcoin and the whole crypto ecosystem to the standards we see today. They are responsible for the development, the large market volume, the abundance of services provided and everything else embracing cryptocurrency. The called Generation Z is still a mistery that only time will tell if they are able to overcome millenials in adoption or not. There are different factors which influence their decision in a way or another. The main one I think it's the kind of educational influence they receive on their daily routine.

The issue is that a considerable portion of Generation Z has grown hearing they should hate capitalism, blame others for their own misery, to depend on the state for their needs, to live freely without responsabilities and long term objectives. All those worldviews can be harmful for this generation when dealing with finances and starting investments. They may lack interest or just feel insecure about it.
4176  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin losing its purpose? on: April 25, 2022, 01:56:51 AM
Where some see an issue, another ones see an opportunity. Coercive, restrictive countries dispel investors and crypto enthusiasts in general (customers, developers, entrepreneurs...), while smaller countries looking for foreign income adopt a friendly stance towards bitcoin and crypto, consequently bringing new people and more money to their territories. So far it's not scaring news, because we are talking only about one country (USA). Bitcoin can't be defeated by a single nation and can't be defeat while there are still people and countries supporting its usage.

Maybe CBDCs are going to be a big issue for some of us, as some governments are going to impose its adoption by difficulting the access to decentralized crypto and making it more expensive to deal with through taxes. However, there is still time until it happens, so there is still time to elaborate a solution for the problem. If my country did something like US is attempting to do and I had enough financial conditions, I would move myself to a bitcoin friendly country without any doubts.
4177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to invest in crytocurrency in 2022? on: April 24, 2022, 05:09:33 AM
Since the beginning there has been only one best crypto investment, that hasn't ever changed and it is called bitcoin. Every other alternative you hear about it's more related to temporary hypes and scam schemes that will end really bad for unnoticed and greedy investors. Not that I'm against trying new things, but the solid bases of everyone's investments in crypto universe should be built around bitcoin first.
maybe you should also know that most people who are new to the crypto market also don't have big capital to enter to buy Bitcoin. the most promising asset and I think the safest is bitcoin. but for those who do not have much capital of course altcoins are their choice.
after all, nowadays there are many altcoins that we can choose from in the exchange. if you want to be safe avoid investing in new coins. they can pump quickly but they can also be lost very quickly.
2022 is said to be the new meme coin season. but I we it's not going to happen. until the end of this year, I believe the biggest altcoin potential is in Matic, SOL, and BNB.
Altcoins are too risky and are only able to rise once bitcoin enters a bull market. Bitcoin defines every scenarios on this market, then it's preferable to always stick with btc in first place. What is the point of investing low capital and losing it due to the chosen altcoin crumbling? Better to invest any amount of money in bitcoin (every pennies worth) and hold until next ATH. Bitcoin has potential to grow a lot in value yet, don't underestimate it. People buying today will have their investments almost doubled by the time bitcoin recovers and reaches a new peak.

BNB and ETH are good to have on portfolio too, but I'm not sure about the other altcoins, they seem to not offer anything ETH and BNB chains couldn't supply.

4179  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you advertise your casino? on: April 24, 2022, 01:42:11 AM
I will launch my first casino in a few months and I was curious how do you advertise it? How much bankroll you had when you opened your first casino? Have you learned from your mistakes and if yes, what mistakes cost you a lot of money?
One of the popular ways to advertise your casino on this forum is through signature campaign (like most users suggested). Im not a casino owner so I dont have idea on how much bankroll is needed or enough for a starter but I think the more budget you have is obviously the better. You need to have a plan on how you can maket effectively your casino to attract many gamblers. It can help if you create an account on different social media platforms to spread the word.
A casino needs a bankroll size which allows them to pay gamblers accordingly, considering they can be extremely lucky agaisnt the house on short run. And that is why casinos set a fixed maximum bet size allowed, so it doesn't get out of their control. For a small casino without much money at bank, this bet size limit should be really low.

As the house makes progress, increase its customers' base and popularity through ads and promotions, the bankroll will increase as well, so they will be able to let gamblers bet more money per bet.

Money management is one of the most important aspects a casino owner should be attentive to. If he fails on this field, his reputation is gone forever, being justifiably labeled as scammer.
4180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if she receives Bitcoin as gift on: April 24, 2022, 12:24:52 AM
How are you going to feel if you receive something that could improve yyour financial life as a birthday? Holding this asset(Bitcoin) for few year from now can become a game changer for her when other gifts might have lost value.
It's always nice to receive gifts from others, so i would be very happy and enthusiastic about receiving bitcoin as a gift (maybe because I'm already a bitcoin adopter), although I also like when people give me a physical product, instead of money. So I know they have taken their time to search something I would like to have and receive in a special day. In the case of someone who isn't familiar with bitcoin, I think you need to create a bitcoin wallet yourself and give your friend and sister access to the respective wallets later, once they have understood how it works and how they can move satoshis between addresses.

But keep in mind they might develop interest for it or not. So in negative case, you will have to elaborate a solution on what to do with these satoshis.
