4161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: August 27, 2019, 09:49:17 AM
Anyone here already tried to use Bitcoin on betting politics? It is really much appreciated if a particular gambling website accepts Bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies.
(.....)
I tried to search for sportsbet, but this another sportsbet came out, and i was surprise they have the odds already.
I don't know if the site is legit or not, but you can check it out if you like, here's the link
https://www.sportsbet.com.au/betting/politics/us-politics
Yep, this is really different sportsbet from sportsbet.io that is accepting cryptocurrencies. I also searching gambling websites that are accepting cryptocurrencies that are catering bets on Politics.
But maybe it will soon available on some gambling websites that accepting cryptocurrencies as a particular election is fast approaching? Like months or weeks before the election, they will start adding and start to provides odds.
We can expect next year by January maybe, because according to the link I shared, the election will be 3/11/2020, so if that line will be live in January, there's still more than 2 months to bet, but it's possible to be live early since the more earlier they accept bet, the higher bets they will get.

Since it's already available in a certain betting site, I'm pretty sure soon, we will see it in our favorite crypto sportsbook.
4162  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Lending on: August 27, 2019, 09:38:41 AM
Great addition for the exchange, it seems like they are really focus in improving their exchange that they want to offer everything that are available in different exchanges. This is quite new to me, though I know about lending in Poloniex before but I haven't use their platform and now that Binance is has already lending, I'm very interested now because they are a big exchange with good number of traders and they are one of the exchanges I trust.

I'm currently reviewing the rules now under FAQ section, hopefully I'll be able to comprehend it easily.

I think sportsbet have lines available for this, especially for the US election since it's very this is a big event and for sure a lot of people will bet on it.
Next time when there is a presidential election in the US, we can check if the line is available but I'm pretty sure they have that before.

4164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB reach $50 This Year? on: August 27, 2019, 03:52:30 AM
By maintaining trust and continuing to make new innovations this year it is not difficult for BNB to reach these prices and I'm sure if bitcoin also rises it is easier for BNB's movements. because if I do a binance analysis it will reach 70-80 $ this year
the existence of IEO which is carried out every month on the Binance exchange indeed makes the price of BNB very possible to reach that price, but we also have to look at the market conditions whether it supports it or not because if a down trend occurs then it will also be a little difficult
IEO is one of the factors that makes this market better, and what we are seeing now of the price of BNB is a cheap price since the market is still not good year for altcoins, so think of the possibility when the altcoins start to rally, this 25 usd per BNB now might skyrocket will reach even more than 50 usd.

I know BNB has already increase a lot this year, but I don't see it will go down for correction as its increase is back by a real support which is due to the growing popularity of IEO which Binance is leading all exchanges.
4165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: August 27, 2019, 03:42:46 AM
Some traders and investors think that when trading with crypto currency, one must be bold and confident and make quick decisions. Is excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading better than doubt and fear, or is it a big drawback?

This is not the place for the weaker mind set because Crypto currency investment is very risky due to the price is really unpredictable therefore FUD is just a normal thing here but still we need to counter them to ensure that the future losses will be neutralized by always having a full confident to your investments.

How could we become confident if we're not developing a good state of mind, specially dealing with our emotions. Sometimes too much of our confidence lead us to bad situations, like lossing to much of our investments. Failure is part of our growth in crypto trading, always make it as our motivations.
We would be able to understand that if we will mature in crypto trading.
Learning everyday is very important as the life here is fast and every moment count, with the unpredictability of crypto, our main goal here is to act based on the right timing, we can't force the market to favor on what we are expecting but we can also wait for the right time to benefit and find a good timing to buy or sell.

Every market situation always offers opportunity, it just depends on how we look at it, play with your mind and not with your emotion, that's what I learn in years of trading.
4166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you fund ICOs ? on: August 26, 2019, 10:58:40 PM
When the beginning of ico appeared, I was very interested in investing and it was true that in the beginning there were many benefits, but as it grew, the quality of ico itself declined due to the large number of projects that failed or ended in scams. at this time I would rather put money on altcoin than in ico or IEO funding because they are both equally high risk

Generally, I'm on your side. It's bad for the market, imho. Any ideas, what could forse us to invest again in ICOs?

The only answer for that is the proper regulation, when ICO was very popular, there's lack of regulation and I think only those ICO who are under the US are regulated and in fact, those scams ICO were called by SEC and some even are punish like the founder of Centra who got into jail and also Mayweather and DJ Khaled were penelized monetarily for promoting the ICO which indeed a successful one.

Unfortunately, these ICO scammers are smart enough, so majority of the ICO are coming outside the US where there's a lack of regulation or not regulation at all, so if we like to see this regulated, that would be good for the market but it will not happen instantly, it will take time for sure.
4167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why do people lose confidence with ethereum? on: August 26, 2019, 10:16:54 PM
Slowly people loses their confidence with ETH because there are other options like BNB which has been very profitable this year.
Just like people losing their confidence in ICO and they are now patronizing the IEO, and when we say of IEO, it's Binance who are dominating in that competition.

If ETH upgraded platform will not be launch soon, or if they don't have something to hype their investors again, I think we will not see our expectation with ETH. It's currently the number 1 in altcoins but we know that surprises happens a lot in crypto, one big pump of BNB will make it in the top 2 spot though I'm not saying it will happen instantly, but it's possible in short term.
4168  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WAVES Dex + Ethereum Tokens on: August 26, 2019, 09:59:59 PM
Good for Waves Dex, maybe they are trying this kind of strategy to increase the volume of their DEX and actually Waves Dex is not popular like IDEX or other DEX that traded with ETH tokens, hopefully this will bring a positive effect as it's not only gonna help the ETH tokens to grow but for the waves tokens as well which does not really perform well compared to ETH tokens int he past.
4169  Economy / Economics / Re: stupidity is so close to poverty on: August 26, 2019, 05:11:35 AM
maybe, actually if you are stupid and don't have a job or have a job that's 9 to 5. You can be called stupid IMO because you don't have the freeedom. You ain't financial free.

You depend on the paycheck you get every month. If you have a bad job where you earn 20k a year and don't raise your skills well you ain't smart IMO.

That's depending a person, for me, I want to work in a job where I also enjoy and I earn well, I believe that's the dream of every employees.

However, as we work for years, we realize that working alone will not make us financially free, that's why we try to get out of our comfort zone and start a business or venture that we ourselves are managing it, but being financially free and just getting out in poverty is too different, it's easy to get out in poverty as long as we have a sustainable job that could give us employment consistently and we can rely on it for our future, this is actually the government's responsibility since people will definitely work when there's an available job, the government responsibility is to create jobs.
4170  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Libra Disrupt The Financial/Economic System? on: August 26, 2019, 04:49:08 AM
I don't think that Libra has such power. Although it's a kind of stable coin that is backed up by Facebook and some financial institutions it is not formaly introduced into financial system and can't disrupt it. I think that Libra is given much importance and power than in reality actually has. I don't expect that Libra will have some significant influence on anything, not just financial system.
agree, I also agree with what you say, the influence of libra will definitely have an impact but I am sure it will not be as bad as what might be feared and what is often said by experts.
the hope that you say also becomes what I expect, let libra move on its own and will not directly affect directly and frighteningly.
the more exposed about libra, there will be many concerns that occur, if we know this coin is the same as others, only supported by a reputable company, and reportedly indeed not fully decentralized coins.
it's better to let it grow and of course the bitcoiners will later judge for themselves
Everyone has no uniform opinion on this project, but for me, I'm positive that Libra would be a big help for the crypto space to grow.

We all like to grow, right? so we need to support this one, this isn't actually a competition of bitcioin and most altcoins since it's only a stable coins, but the amount of users it will bring to crypto will result to increase of adoption, I'm just looking at the bright side and I'm not worry how the government judge them now, but I know they'll be able to pass everything that is required to them.
4171  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: August 26, 2019, 04:14:31 AM
I think that Bitcoin as a decentralized cryptocurrency will keep its volatility forever. The market and the price aren't controlled by the governments or by any other power, so the price can't be stable someday. That's the case for each decentralized cryptocurrency, not only Bitcoin.
Even stocks, they are not controlled by the government, what makes it volatile is the speculation in the market, price is not stable because any time there's a FUD and hype that could significantly affect the emotions of the investors.

The government can only take control with their regulation but with some limitations, and they can't control the supply and demand aspect and the way this market behave as its norms, this is the nature of crypto, if we don't like volatility, this isn't a good place for us.
4172  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxless society idea on: August 26, 2019, 03:14:42 AM
TBH, I wasn't able to digest your idea, it seems so complicated to me.
Tax is the lifeblood of the government, so I don't think they will eliminate that to live in a taxless society with the idea that you propose.
Most of the countries are not yet incline with cryptocurrency, so they'll basically use their current tax system.

Actually if we can all adopt with digital currencies, thing will be more transparent, unlike now in our country where double taxation happens.
For example, the national government imposes tax already, while the municipalities are also doing their taxation to increase their collections for their area.
4173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: August 26, 2019, 02:49:02 AM
After playing gambling games hundreds of times, without much effort in winning substantial profits at all, it makes me wonder what could be the secret of gambling? Personally, I find myself comfortable playing crypto-based gambling games, because of their greater level of accessibility than traditional games. I believe that gambling games which use cryptocurrencies and Blockchain tech, are much fairer than traditional ones within the mainstream world. Yet, you tend to lose more money than you've initially invested into a gambling game.

Which is why, I'm deeply curious to know if there's actually a secret within gambling that would allow me to win more than losing? Any thoughts about this will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

It doesn't exist at all, there may be a lot of videos on Youtube and articles online and even e-books and courses that will tell you the secret of gambling, but I doubt that will be effective you have to be a high roller with huge funds to cover and go after your loses and win, high-risk high gain.

It exist if you believe if there are gamblers out their who makes money in gambling.
I doubt gambling will be this popular if that is not possible, these people who tried to find strategies to win consistently are inspired because they believe tat there are people who are actually making money in gambling.

Personally as a gambler, I believe there are people who makes money and until now I'm still looking for that secret although I am not anymore aggressive before compared in the past. Who knows, time will come, we can find it, then that would be our ultimate success and life would be easy.
4174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Low market makes ICOs cheaper on: August 25, 2019, 11:14:05 PM
You're right. I, too, see the price drop as just an opportunity to buy coins at a bargain price. Only I buy those coins that have already managed to earn a reputation. In ICO, I almost don't invest, because now this direction is not relevant.
Low marketcap means small number of investors or volume of money being invested, that's why when there are people who dump, the price easily gets affected. This is bad for investors who easily panic because they might loss easily as the price may not bounce back easily compared to the coins that are listed in big exchanges where liquidity is not a problem.

This happens because there's no standard rules followed in ICO, the team makes their own rules and we are the one who follows it.
Also, they find it easier to raise a small funds to start due to the big competition and they've seen success on small cap ICO coins in the past, so they maybe have followed it.
4175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What withdrawal fee do you consider as fair in gambling sites? on: August 25, 2019, 10:49:03 PM
There's no way I would play in a gambling site with BTC0.001 withdrawal fee per transaction, that's too huge, even higher than most exchange with only BTC0.0005 withdrawal fee, I know they are in different industry but I just like to compare.

Anyway, you are promoting sportsbet, I think they have the best withdrawal process which are instant and free, that's why I like to play in that site.
But for other sites, since I don't really gamble much expect sports betting, I would be okay with a withdrawal fee within the range of BTC0.0001 to 0.0002.
4176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 25, 2019, 10:35:00 PM
There is no doubting that.  Pop somehow always gets the best out of whoever he has on the team.  But the, he was gifted some very nice players along the way on the spurs

I think it's him being a gift more than a player, as what I have noticed in the team spurs, he was able to make an average player in becoming a star player. I doubt Kawhi would become a star if he didn't start with the Spurs, he is a Legend, at least that's what I believe and that's the reason why until now he is still coaching the spurs.

This season, spurs wasn't really that strong enough, but they reach the playoffs, unfortunately fall short to the Nuggets.
Anyway, I think team USA are confident despite their players is not the star quality that we are expecting is because of this guy.
4177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO WE NEED TO REGULATE ICOs? on: August 25, 2019, 10:23:33 PM
On a brighter note, I will also say yes, ICO's needs to be regulated. ICO's are gradually fading away from the crypto world since IEO's came. The only way ICO's can rise up and compete or survive is for it to be regulated. Without regulation, it will be very difficult for the masses out there to invest in ICO's whiles IEO's are there. ICO's should be regulated to bring mass adoption.
I hope it is not too late for ICO, if in case it will be all regulated, IEO that time will already very popular and I think people will still stick with IEO, unless they still offer limited number of projects like they did now.

Compared to the time where ICO was still popular, it was able to attract a lot of investors, maybe if we will compared, ICO can create one thousand project in a certain month while IEO can only create like 200, so it's like in every 100% IEO only creates 20%, that is because of the small number of exchanges where people trust to put their money, and only few IEO are being created in good exchange in a monthly basis.
4178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 24, 2019, 11:09:25 AM
Gambling is like a do or die games where you can win a lot or lost everything in a blink of a second.

If that's how to see gambling, then you are having a serious problem and gambling is not for you.
That will only happen for people who have lack of discipline or they failed to follow the game plan, of course losing is normal, but to loss everything is stupidity, we have the bankroll and we should learn how to manage it, you can loss if you got hot and you go all in, that's a suicide in gambling and no chance you will grow.
Maybe it’s because we have different perspectives about gambling and that must be respected,I think what he meant is for himself that’s how he treated gambling while others not like you.
I can feel him because that’s how I look at it sometimes specially when I am in complete losing and desperation comes to mind.but in totality if we will find enjoyment while playing then it would change the views and things will be in positivities
As we all know how gambling ruin many lives before and until now so better decide for betterment or stop gambling at all.i know many will say that it’s easy for me to say this but that’s the reality we must accept to save our ass from losing
I understand but what I like to say here is the right thing to do when you are gambling, of course I can't deny that I also experience losing control in gambling and that does not happen once, it happens a lot of time before I finally matured.

Now, I know how to discipline myself, it's alright to be optimistic but we should also be realistic at the same time, and what is really necessary is not to be greedy at any given situation whether you are in a losing or winning situation.
4179  Economy / Economics / Re: Crimes involving crypto have risen on: August 24, 2019, 10:47:58 AM
Without regulation, this issue cannot be resolved. As we can see, the SEC continues its movement on cryptocurrency projects by filing a lawsuit for those who have committed crimes,
which means the figure announced above may well turn out to be less because some of the funds can be returned after some time.

Funds to be return, that's less likely to happen, maybe this people will go to jail but the money will not be return.
What the SEC are doing now is they are cracking the old scams, that is a good solution but there is a better solution to that, which is the prevention.

They should set a strict rules especially on crowd funding as most victims in the past came from that kind of fund raising, and hopefully it's not only the US who are strict when it comes to crypto regulation, but also the other countries.
I agree scam in the last few years involving ICO projects that collected millions of dollars from many people around the world are very alarming every government must imposed a high penalty if they try to runaway and left many investors many scammers are still at-large today and no case filed while the victims are still suffering financially.

This is the sad truth of ICO in 2017.
Shocking no one, study finds almost 80 percent of ICOs are scams

That's definitely the reason why the market pump and resulted to a big correction in 2018, those scammers started to sell their assets after they saw the opportunity to get a good ROI. The last ICO success was only brought by the hype of BTC's  bull run, or should we say the FOMO.

Th first stages of ICO was good, we have a lot of legit projects that until now are still in exchange with good liquidity, but as it grows, scammers sees it an opportunity of them to ride and they had the success that time at the expense of the newbie investors who rush to invest without making a research.
4180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prices of Bitcoin and Altcoin are down now ...? on: August 24, 2019, 10:32:29 AM
well, market will not always going up or down my friend
so, you should ready for all conditions with market ,
we can't remove the risk on crypto investments but we can reduce the risk by cut our loss short if our predictions wrong  Wink

For me, I only cut loss if my expectation is only for short term but for coins that I believe and invested for long term, I will never cut loss, I'm really loss my investment, my strategy is, it's either I loss my whole investment or I will sell it x10 at the least. I know that sounds hard under the current condition, but this market has a high potential and it's not gonna bitcoin alone which will be successful once it recovers fully, I believe altcoins will also benefited of bitcoin's success, so that x10 is very realistic.
