4161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: August 02, 2017, 11:53:30 PM
Ok let us assume that Bitcoin are like Stocks in the market yes they are their but not everyone knows it or even tries to invest in it. And I think the problem is not what we are trying to explain to them but what they are not motivated to do themselves. A person who lacks motivation to learn something will simply not learn anything. In order for this kids to learn something they must be motivated by something like they want to find more ways to earn online. Also I don't think it is proper to introduce Bitcoin to them if they don't know the basics of other things like math, saving in a bank, or a simple investment.
4162  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: August 02, 2017, 11:22:49 PM
Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?

15 years is extremely ambitious. I give it closer to 150 years, and not even playing. My exact guess would be 80-100 years.

Here is the thing... everyone in the world uses some form of fiat. It takes time to do anything. It takes LOTS of time to change minds. Then we need to educate the kids about what Bitcoin even is, and most have no idea. Although most kids have no idea about the concept of money in general, so I guess that doesn't matter.

What I am getting at is this is a huge undertaking and cannot be accomplished "soon".
Yeah I agree with you surpassing U.S. Dollar as a global reserve currency is really a big assumption, I am a Bitcoin Optimist but what the CEO is saying is funny because  banks are looking for a stable currency that has growth potential and we all know Bitcoin is not a stable currency when in fact it is a volatile currency. Banks won't have a secure line of back up currency if they keep their reserve as Bitcoin.
4163  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: August 02, 2017, 02:26:57 PM
Its surprising to me how many of you support cash bans.

I'm guessing many of you smoke weed or do other drugs.

Tell me. If there's a cash ban, what currency will you use to buy weed/illegal drugs?

Something as simple as buying weed would become more difficult under a cash ban.

A cash ban would diminish freedom and rights.

It would make payment systems more inflexible, rigid and less efficient.

Economy would suffer as a result.
But what they are supporting is not even possible. Why will you ban on your own country's currency? It is totally impossible it is like removing the wealth of your country. The funny thing is I see no benefit on transacting on a cashless basis, do you think we can buy something if there is a massive power outage with no internet? Of course not because everything is wireless which means your credit cards and Bitcoins don't exist as for that moment. Fiat currency will be there and it won't disappear.
4164  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: August 02, 2017, 12:22:02 PM
This should be a simple answer liquidity wise Bitcoin beats Gold by a mile right now Bitcoin is more liquid than gold, that is why it is called Cryptocurrency it is good as a real currency. Gold on the other hand is much harder to convert into Fiat Currency because you need to take time to find the right price and the right ounce in order to sell your Gold. But Bitcoin is not the clear winner in all factors I am just saying Bitcoin based on my understanding in the OP is better than Gold.
4165  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: August 02, 2017, 10:23:01 AM
Good news dude !
Bitcoin price is recovering little by little .
From 950 $ some hours ago to 1066$ now !
Buy now till it's under 1100$.
 https://blockchain.info/markets

I told you guys, do not panic. Bitcoin value will just falls gor a moment the. It will always rise back again, and even higher. What happened to all those people who sell their bitcoin? Do you regret now? Poor people, you should always trust and never suspect the ability of the bitcoin to grow and still be the worlds number one.
yes that is right that bitcoin price is now recovering and even before 1st August i am sure tha after 1st Augst the price of bitcoin will be trading above 5000$ after few months and its price will continue increasing for new few months.

It's funny to think that's many of the holders dump their coin in the midst of July because of the August hype. Yup there is an altcoin called "BCH or BCC" and it is tradable in a very reasonable prices. But still before August one the price of btc is as high as ever and the mark 3000 dollars at the end of the year maybe achieve this next months and before the end of the year we might hit the 5000 dollars price.

We all know that bitcoins popularity is growing and many people is demanding it's service, it's a sign that we must instill in our minds. If we don't store enough btc below 3000$ price, we might be a little too late next month or the month after a month. Just saying .
I guess you might be right the price of Bitcoin holding up in the midst of the August 1 terror pretty much paved the way for Bitcoin to cross the 3000$ level. What Bitcoin showed us is that its investors or buyers are not afraid of it splitting of entering into a fork, it is pretty much evident when it priced rather going down has gone up even before the last hours of August 1. I think that the price action of Bitcoin would still be in an upward trend because of what happened in the recent day.
4166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally legal in India on: August 01, 2017, 05:43:18 PM
Now this one is a good news, as you can see all it needs is a support of the government in order to set its future. With all the regulations and certain limits for exchanges the Indian government had made it possible for it to experience their citizens a new kind of cryptocurrency that can be both use as a medium of exchange or as a form of investment in which they can profit from. With the upcoming fork expect that a newer demand for the country will arise if the investors manager to take the good side of this event.
4167  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: July 31, 2017, 01:15:56 PM
Even though its currently the most valuable currency in the world, i will not say that its the strongest currency, Bitcoin can come crashing down in an instant if a country like Germany or the USA makes it illegal. Its price is determined by its investors who will all cash if such a thing happens.
Even though OP was dated last 3 years ago it still has the same problem until now, as it is a volatile currency which is not its fault because it is a decentralized currency meaning the closest thing that control it are big players with big capital. Also Bitcoin is vulnerable to bad news which a lot of investors (especially the weak hands) have a reason to offload their position. Bitcoin can be the highest valued currency but I don't think we can consider it as the strongest currency in the world.
4168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I support Bitcoin Cash and here's why. on: July 31, 2017, 11:29:17 AM
I don't think that Bitcoin returned back to the 2700$ level because of just the consumers' pure speculation only, and I think it would be opposite because traders see Bitcoin's future to be uncertain therefore it will return maintain the 1800$ level price range. Market cap is just one metric that can determine the future of Bitcoin but I don't say it is enough to give you assurance to its future. So if I were you just observe the market in August 1 before its too late.
4169  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: July 31, 2017, 08:19:32 AM
In the next years I think it will become possible - cashless transactions
But I don't think that it's possible for our world to be cashless.

it will be hard to implement especially for the elderly and those young people. Some elders now haven't know yet how to use internet and ATMs ,maybe both can still be applied like now,btc and caah aa it is.
Well do you think our world would be better if we live a world without any fiat currency? I don't think so because we are not ready for that kind of transition yet, think of it this way our country's assets won't physically exist but only exist in the net which makes it more vulnerable as hackers right now are so powerful and intelligent in which they can do anything with their computers. Also you are right not all people are technically inclined especially the elderly in which we need to consider them first.
4170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: July 30, 2017, 02:07:19 PM
Advertising a Bitcoin on TV is a good idea sir because it can get more popularity into whole world. And I really don't know why Bitcoin owners are not using a TV to advertise it. Maybe the price for advertising it on TV is too high and maybe there are no interested on it. So maybe that's why they advertise here in this forum because all people in this forum knows about it.
who owner of bitcoins? i have bitcoin may be you have too. it means we all have bitcoins and we are owner of bitcoin.
if you want support bitcoin please you advertise on tv first.
Its funny we are thinking of something like advertising Bitcoin, so that we could establish a stronger awareness globally. The funny thing is Bitcoin is not a product but a currency. And its the first time ever that a currency will ever be advertise. I don't think that it is a necessary approach to be done by our side but I guess media and social media can do the advertising for us.
4171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazing Support for Bitcoin Cash! on: July 30, 2017, 12:24:43 PM
I can't say that it is a support but I think it is a standard procedure for an altcoin to have wallets providing for it and exchanges that will accept it for its trading. As of right now there are rumors that they will Dump instantly Bitcoin Cash right after the fork happens in which they will sell all BCCs in order to maybe add more Bitcoin to their wallet. I guess the advantage of this is that BCC will have a chance to be bought in a lower price and maybe it will pay off at the end.
4172  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: July 30, 2017, 10:39:05 AM
I think in the presence of bitcoin will reduce unemployment, because searching for bitcoin also requires hard work and creativity, and competitiveness in bitcoin is also high almost similar to work in the real world

What is your opinion this time?
For an instance yes. Bitcoin can somewhat reduces unemployment due to the reason that they are also earning and having an income instantly. But we cannot set aside the fact that they still does not have work so they are still included into the group of unemployed individuals. They still need to work and not be dependable on bitcoin because they do not know when they will have to get their income on bitcoin.
If you are become a lover of bitcoin then actually you will be depended on bitcoin. Because if unemployed people become interesting to bitcoin then they will be depended on bitcoin. One thing other will happen as well they will hate other jobs after become an interesting in bitcoin. Because bitcoin is a place and currency which can change your life in a mints.

I dont agree with your point :Because bitcoin is a place and currency which can change your life in a mints. This point makes Bitcoin as gambling because for any it to change first you have to be ready and lot of experience should be needed for that it will take time but not in mints.

Ya it is true that IF you take bitcoin fulltime is also not bad but first you have to check that how much you are earning now and after taking full time how much can you earn, if not after leaving your day job and go in full time bitcoin earning should not be a bad move if you dont earn higher then you day pay.
Well, why skip the opportunity earning a huge income every months when you know it? But if after a long time Bitcoin job can't help you have good income for your life, that time should go out Bitcoin and use the money earned from it to invest other project out site. Not bad idea is right?

i don't think that if we do bitcoin job can not help us to have good income for our life because so far, i see many people almost all which using bitcoin is making profit. although the profit we got is not the same for each of us and its depend on what we do in bitcoin jobs. with doing bitcoin jobs, we can earn money that we can collect and save it in our bank account.
Let me remind you that no matter how you are earning Bitcoin online or your earnings in Bitcoin are higher than a real salary it won't be counted as you being an employed person, the unemployment rate counts people who are self-employed, students, and basically people who are not employed by a employer. Don't be blindsided about the potential of Bitcoin on supporting our daily lives, but it is simply wrong. Even if we earn Bitcoin through signature campaigns we still belong in the unemployed class.
4173  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: July 30, 2017, 05:42:20 AM
In a signature campaign you won't lose anything but if you arw inti bitcoin gambling and trading you can gain and lose some depending on your ability, experience and knowledge.
But to be realistic nobody will be rich with Bitcoin if they only depend themselves with earnings on regards to their signature campaign, to be rich you need to have a capital set for trading or even in gambling depending on your risk tolerance. That is the reality and being rich with Bitcoin is actually challenging right now as it is on its peak compared to the time when it was price 100$ per Bitcoin, or even the opportunity we have last year when it was 500$ per Bitcoin is long gone now.

4175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will bitcoincash / BCC price be equal to bitcoin / BTC price? on: July 29, 2017, 05:31:51 PM
Highly unlikely as looking at the majority of the member's views with Bitcoin I think they see it as some sort of competition within itself and the minute they obtain Bitcoin Cash they will dump it as they want to have the original which is "Bitcoin" . Another thought is that Bitcoin Cash will be treated as an altcoin although having the same technology as Bitcoin it will be viewed as a necessary technology in order to make Bitcoin a better overall experience for us that both devs and consumers are willing to handle.

4177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it even possible to regulate bitcoins? on: July 29, 2017, 04:52:10 AM
From what I heard and what I read in the latest developments regarding Bitcoin in South Korea they have established Exchanges in which are regulated by the government, which is somehow close on controlling Bitcoin. So the government can override the whole operation of the exchange. But if you look it in a broad perspective some online exchange are doing it now in fact most of the people here are not recommending in keeping your money in any kind of exchange especially August 1 is only 2 days away.
4178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I cash out my BTC now? on: July 29, 2017, 04:27:31 AM
I am holding all of the BTC I currently have until the BCC fork happens.

Once that happens I will get my BCC and send it all somewhere to sell! I will then withdraw my BTC and be happier Smiley Smiley
But I think the wiser decision would be to cash out your Bitcoin when the price is high to Fiat Currency and at the same time wait for the chance to convert your Bitcoin after the affect of August 1 happens. Therefore the end result would be you having more BTC and at the same time be in time for the split to happen as the split will not happen in August 1 automatically.
4179  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: July 28, 2017, 10:43:40 AM
I don't think that Bitcoin is helpful for eradicating poverty. this is just a currency which can be helpful to make money but not for every people. it is a site which needs to be involvement via the internet. so how a poor person can afford it. I think those people are rich and affluent only they can be benefited by this platform.

It can help to reduce people that are in the poverty line/level. But generalizing "world" poverty, I can't possibly see it's going to happen. Problem is too broad when we talk about "world" poverty, there's a lot of places in this world that is experiencing poverty and even electricity, they don't have and we know internet is a much for bitcoin.
I would rather agree to reduce poverty in the world because it is impossible to eliminate all poverty in the world. You should know that the cause of poverty is not due to unemployment. Because if the unemployment could have been overcome by giving jobs in bitcoin but the cause of world poverty is very complicated

I agree with you to the effect that some are merely just lazy to find a job thus, they are unemployed.  Some are kind of choosy in terms of the job that they will be having because some were shy or feeling of incompetent that is why they are not applying.  They are just waiting for the alms or blessings that will be given by their family member or worst, their parents.  Bitcoin can at least help these people to have a good income.  Online jobs are also preferred by many because it is more comfortable.
Unemployment is only one part of the puzzle on defining what is poverty, because there are so many reasons behind it such as what your earning is enough for your family or not, or even if your own money is enough for you. Yes earning Bitcoin may reduce poverty but it depends on how much you are earning, but I guarantee you if you are treating Bitcoin as a cash for day to day transaction your life won't improve on what it is.
4180  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: July 28, 2017, 09:39:03 AM
Best way for a steady income? Don’t rely on one source. If Bitcoin is you main source then you should have a few other sources as well. Find something that relates to Bitcoin or the Internet and it will be easier finding money. It can be online advertising, a little bit of gambling, blogging and the likes. If you already have a steady source of income, hold onto it because not everything is permanent and with one snap everything can change.

The funny thing is anything that relates you to earning Bitcoin won't count as a steady income, what I mean about that is Bitcoin itself as a currency is a volatile one and if you are looking for a way to earn steady income and that is to earn some fiat currency. And the best and most reliable way to earn a steady income by way of fiat currency is of course being employed into a regular job, having a fixed salary in a bi-weekly basis will assure you that you will be getting what you are paid for.
