Is this still taking place today or has taken place already?
I almost forgot the title of this thread...and i looked through this section multiple times to see if I could remember and find it.

Will probably set an alarm for this

4162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll for favourite cryptos used on Gambling. on: January 26, 2020, 08:11:40 AM
Hello!

A few days ago I posted here for you all to know about a fresh Casino that is going to be launched in February. Most of you replied to my post letting me know your excitement about the launching, opinions and advice. Thank you all! Appreciate your comments. This time I want to run a poll, so I know what cryptocurrency you use the most when it comes to gambling.

I'm leaving here the link to join our Telegram Channel https://t.me/gsplayers1 so you can receive fresh information about our project and get a special bonus code on the day of release. Also, feel free to get in touch via email support@nwent.pro in case you may need anything, we'll be pleased to answer.

Thank you in advance for your votes.

Obviously Bitcoin will win in this poll, all gamblers have Bitcoin in their portfolio and they want this coin as their prize because it is the most profitable coin in the market, Litecoin and Ethereum are also a good choice so it's better to have these two coins when you launch your online casino.

You mean profitability is part of the reasons they choose Bitcoin? Interesting! Another probable reason is the security aspect of Bitcoin. People with lots of money would likely prefer a very safe Cryptocurrency. The oldest ones that still exist and working fine without too many past problems would be their top choice.
4163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to open an online Bitcoin Casino on: January 26, 2020, 07:45:35 AM
Interesting suggestions above.

I wonder what people will do if Crypto-based casino license becomes impossible to obtain in the future.

I think I will simply obtain the best/safe gambling laws from any country or different countries and code the rules (mixed with my best/safe rules) on a decentralized gambling platform. This is probably one of the best ways to keep cryptospere lively and safe when such time comes
4164  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: January 26, 2020, 07:16:07 AM
If they can create cryptocurrencies that are entirely based on crypto principles, why not? But I doubt any of the current governments on earth will do this. They will probably pretend to be creating the real things but will slowly & eventually deviate. They likelihood of abusing "decentralized" things created by them is there already.
A real decentralized crypto, if founded on solid principles, would naturally prevent that kind of governments from forming on its network/community.
4165  Other / Off-topic / Re: What makes you feel most alive? on: January 26, 2020, 06:57:06 AM
Obedience to our CREATOR & being controlled by HIS SPIRIT.

Others:

Eating healthy
Lots of Water
Fasting
Exercise
Decentralized and efficient technologies
Unconditional love for others..
etc

Be careful though not to derived your "liveliness" from things that are bad for you, and cause you addictions.
4166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whales keep getting richer and richer while everybody else is losing... on: January 24, 2020, 03:54:24 PM
Trading futures is akin to gambling and the whales know this, they are basically like the high rollers in casinos but the difference is that with casinos, all the power lies with the casino owners and the gambers knows this, but with bitcoin futures trading, it's a bit different because manipulations are being done all the time and it wouldn't cost them much to start spreading false rumours that could take the market in any direction they want thereby stacking the odds in their favour, I believe that if bitcoin futures trading wasn't a thing, then we would see a much more stable growth for bitcoin free of most of the manipulations that occur daily.

Exactly.
Any serious cryptocurrency should by now be considering banning any exchange that is part of price manipulations. Such decision and similar ones should be done democratically, by the affected communities (of thousands/millions of users) and not just a few.
Price movements should be based on real fundamentals and not manipulations.

By the way, price manipulation is done in many ways, and not just on such exchanges. If they are all stopped/prevented, we will probably have only few cryptocoins moving up as they should.
4167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will NOT surpass traditional methods of payment. Convince me. on: January 24, 2020, 03:21:08 PM
You speak as if it's normal to attack a public network/infrastructure.
Well , I think anyone who is observant enough would know what is currently hindering mass adoption. I believe this will be solved eventually,as i already noticed that some are taking the problem very seriously and will most likely find desirable solutions.
4168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Okay. What is the main factor that boosts Altcoin value? Popularity or Tech? on: January 24, 2020, 03:00:35 PM

As the subject goes, what could be the main factor?

Famous developer, Media reputation, MM... or Just technology itself?

So far, it seemed that marketing and market marking were the main factors...

There is no easy way to know that, especially in this current market. If the price doesn't move naturally, it will be a bit hard for It to be affected by real demand and supply... that is, demand and supply based on technology, usefulness, uniqueness, real crypto principles etc

I think if you build a useful, safe and real crypto project, attracting users via any means like marketing won't be that difficult.

Your promotion needs to be totally honest. No deceitful promotion like it's safe, fast, decentralized, censorship resistant, immutable, etc when it's not. People need something unique and useful
4169  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just launched a new project for the BitcoinRoot website. on: January 24, 2020, 01:52:33 PM
It's an interesting and unique way to get people hooked on your site... More like faucet, right? I guess your visitors have to wait for sometimes before a private keys is fully shown. I couldn't view your site in a normal way to properly see how this works.
You probably should explain how it works too
4170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 24, 2020, 10:45:23 AM
every gambler has this in mind either before or until now and this is common because gambling is way to Make easy money and gamblers are mostly lazy people that wanted to Gain easy than working hard.(sad but true right?)but having this in mind?all we need to do is work more and gambling less so if haven't made a huge win at least you only lose small amount and still have a regular work.

I guess the right word is gambling addict are lzy people(am not sure that is the case though).
My hardworking relations(people I know very well) are probably still playing lotteries occasionally... They still work like horse every day except maybe on Sundays.
If a safe or good "gambling" pays your bills and is profitable/beneficial then you probably don't need to worry... otherwise, regular gambling might not be safe for anyone.
4171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Win a Presidential plane... on: January 24, 2020, 09:35:32 AM
This crazy idea is because the Mexican president wan to sell the plane to spend the money on other projects.
The main reason why he did this is pretty good because it is for their country anyways.

The only problem is that how will the winner deal with the plane. Unless the winner have a contact where he can sell it immediately then it is ok or he will just store it in a safe place until a buyer will come and buy it. Of course the Mexican president must help with what the winner wants to do with the plane.

Many people will try their luck if the plane can be exchanged to money immediately even for a lower amount or the same amount as the evaluated price of the plane if possible.

Exactly.
I think it's important they find a buyer that will buy the plane at that exact price, or little bit below  otherwise It may be hard for the winner to find a genuine buyer to buy at that price.
I guess the government tried to sell the plane at the price but didn't find a buyer, it then decide that lottery is the best way to "sell" it profitably
4172  Economy / Gambling / Re: firstplayer.app - Strive to become the first player and win! Win-win mode active on: January 24, 2020, 08:39:37 AM
This sounds like ponzi/pyramid scheme.
What happens if players fail to see new people to pay them.? I am not sure if this is a good idea or sustainable... You can prove me wrong though.
I guess this is best experimented on skill-based gambling due to potential problem of addiction.

*I did not visit your site.
4173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running an online Bitcoin gambling website on: January 24, 2020, 07:40:09 AM
I have a few questions regarding running a Bitcoin gambling website online.

I am located in Canada. So I'm not sure if it's legal for me run a site like this online from within Canada.

If it is legal for me to host the site else where, where is it possible for me to host it and do I need to get it licensed or it's okay to operate without a license since it's crypto.

In my opinion, it's necessary to follow the gambling law of the country you are operating from, especially if you are creating a serious gambling business. Unless you want to do this from a country with favorable gambling law?
I think you should read and understand what the Canadian laws say concerning gambling, try to list them down and apply them on your site. Or a lawyer can be used as someone suggested.
Alternatively (in my opinion) you could have multiple partners around the world(esp partners in countries with favorable laws) to co-own the gambling site. Or you could just build a decentralized gambling site with other people and make it non-profit or something.
4174  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why does having a LinkedIn profile mean you're legit? on: January 24, 2020, 07:13:47 AM
I think it depends on whether linkdn verifies its users claims. I really never liked the "connection" method used on the internet in telling whether users  are honest or not. It probably would work in physical societies where breaking of law is taken seriously, because people will be careful not to connect with any kind of persons without knowing their histories or recent activities.

I think the verification thing would work best on decentralized networks where anonymity/privacy is taken seriously. For example, safe bots could be used to scan through and analyze someones activities on decentralized communities without violating the person privacy in any way. This can be used to determine the trustworthiness of such person. And it should be automated scanning and analyzing. No other person needs to know what the bots know about the person. Only the person's Trust scores or Reputation can be displayed on the his/her decentralized "LinkedIn" profile.
4175  Other / Off-topic / Re: Glasses with filters. on: January 24, 2020, 06:49:36 AM
Interesting.
Could be rightly called Glasses that create fake/virtual reality.
Guess it can be used for both good and evil. The internet connected ones especially, can be really misused if hacked or something.
Hope things like that are used in good ways or in other ways that cause little to no harm to the users.
By the way, people could easily get addicted to this things especially those that do not benefit very much.

4176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fraud victim,75, loses £11k in life savings! Secure your BTC just now! on: January 23, 2020, 05:08:28 PM
BBC reported that a 75-year-old woman is warning others of the dangers of an online scam that has cost her her life savings. She lost 11K EURO!! You can see the news from here, https://www.bbc.com/news/amp/uk-england-devon-51205126

Guys, don’t think too much to spend 100-150 USD, buy a hardware wallet right now! You are not safe in any online wallet by 100 percent!

I am not sure if the coin was stolen from her wallet. I think she voluntarily gave the it to the firm.
Wish the bbc site listed the name of the scam company/site... that will probably help readers  understand the nature of scam. Besides, the site where the woman found the scam site advertisement shouldn't have allowed the ad in the first place.
4177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Full time trading is boring on: January 23, 2020, 02:32:19 PM
Not boring for everyone, especially those who can sit quietly alone for a long time. I am not currently a "full time" trader though but it's quite fun for me.
In my opinion, you don't need to be a full time trader to do as well as the full time traders. You just need to automate much of your trading and use your trading app notifier to alert to when you hit your targets
4178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH: Miners should donate...or else on: January 23, 2020, 02:12:19 PM
I saw this somewhere else and I was a bit surprised. Sounds like dictatorship.
I wonder why they prefer this approach instead of the voluntary crowdfunding methods.
Besides it's not a sustainable way of funding a crypto project. If price goes down too low, what then becomes of the 12.5%?
It certainly will increase the coin centralization if it's the only "allowed" way to fund projects.

4179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: January 23, 2020, 10:43:33 AM
-snip-
There are times when people stop gambling when they have won enough money and so on they just want to enjoy it. But the most common is that they will return to gambling and even they look very addicted and continue playing until they spend the amount of money they won before.

Gambling addiction is the most difficult thing to get rid of, I feel the same and maybe it's the experience of gamblers in general.

I guess they get carried away by the fun. It's quite risky to get too attached to things that benefit you very little. I'd rather play with bot if  ever I get interested in spending reasonable amount of money in some types of gamblings. I will just set the bot & forget about it to play as long as possible, and hope it makes profit in a time period
4180  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Casino! on: January 23, 2020, 09:40:43 AM
Does number four include provable fair? That is probably one of the most important feature crypto gamblers often request for or ask about when reviewing threads on casinos/gambling sites that are new to them. Most gamblers want truely fair and verifiable gambling sites.
