4181  Economy / Economics / Re: thoughts on companies becoming too powerful? on: August 04, 2019, 05:34:50 AM
It seems to me that first of all we ourselves must take care of ourselves, because no company thinks about people.  First of all, every industrial giant or other company thinks of superprofits, and not in order to make this world a little better.

Your right . thats also what im thinking about but i believe there are still some companies that aims to help people . some of their earned profits will go to the charities , churches and those people or places that have been destructed by natural calamities  .

if these kind of companies are becoming powerful then id say its good . its good for them and its also good for us  but if those selfish companies are becoming powerful then that is threatining  .
4182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you be mad if satoshi sold all coins they own right now? on: August 04, 2019, 05:00:15 AM
We have freedom on what we would like to do with our investments or money, so if satoshi will decide to sell all his/her coins right now then it's up to him/her.

I wouldn't mind at all, but if in case it can change the movement of the price like the price will drop to it's lowest because of this reason then there is a big chance that many will blame satoshi of his/her actions.
In some way maybe someone will blame him but to those who able to recognized what he did and what he deserved, why bothered to hate him instead of thanking him and allow him to enjoy the benefits of all those works he did for this industry, people mostly forget the recognitions of those important people when it's already dealing with money, but if thinking clearly he's also just another believers that deserves to enjoy the profits of holding.

Yes .  im with you  . i will exclude satoshi on my hate list because he is the creator of bitcoins but others arent exempted because they are obvious that they are only manipulating the price once they sell or buy in a huge manner   . and i think saotshi will not sell all his coins because he already have some cash physically but instead he will only use some btc for testing purposes  .
4183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good news! Bitcoin Price Breaks $10K Barrier on: August 03, 2019, 03:32:19 PM
Meh. Don't just say it is a good news.

We cant really consider this as a good news because this was only a usual event that happens all the time   . im not happy anymore to see the price recovering to 10k or 11k but my happiness will only trigger if the value returns to 18k usd again same on the year 2017    .

Will bitcoin reach the latest ATH again?

It will reach the latest ATH soon, and you don't have to worry. But unfortunately, if you ask when it reaches? The answer is no one will know.

We can  . there are events that claims that btc can reach verry high  . forking and halving could be the examples   .
4184  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Just Broke $10k on: August 03, 2019, 12:44:12 PM
We are in the weekend and bitcoin still strong to increase.
That's weird, it's suppose to be selling time now as people loves to cash out in weekends, but it's a different trend we are seeing now.
and where did you get that info ? Theres no specific day or time about people to cash out or cash in but that will only depend on thier mood , schedule , or if they have a cash or not  .

anyway , btc is now back again on track  and im also seeing greens now in regards to the value of btc  .  im still hopping that the up trend will continue until btc break another new record , so that alts and tokens will have a reason to follow up
4185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO's has cause more harm done good on: August 03, 2019, 12:11:45 PM
That's purely an accusation to hear, because we haven't yet witnessed how IEO works right now. So don't judge until there is really a proof of the current situation. We shoul be more observant to the actual outcome and don't ever speculate negatively until there's definite judgement over it.

In fact, only 20% of IEO projects can help investors to make big profits and IEO investment is less risky than ICO investment so I believe that IEO is still an investment trend that people want in this market. Personally, I still prefer to invest in IEO because it makes it easier for me to earn double profit in a short time and if lucky, making a profit x5 easy if the IEO is listed at big exchange.

I also prefer IEO. Hate it if you guys want but the fact that huge exchanges are the ones who makes the due diligence for us on the projects before getting listed is a big YES for me. Didn't you guys realize that the numbers of projects are getting flitered thanks to IEOs? In ICOs, 100 and above projects every months that you need to do your own research and considering the current situation, nobody gets roi in it anymore makes it hard to attract investor. While in IEO, you only monitor 10 or less projects every month if you only count those high-volume exchanges that gives 2x-20x returns. So I don't totally agreee cause IEOs more harm.

Maybe the op is pointing to some unsuccesful ieo's that is runned by new exchanges   . this type of ieo's can do harm to the investors because they could loose thier money in an instant as soon as they fall for this trap . but the rest of the ieo's are already proven to be safe and profitable like what you guys said  .  we wont know , maybe op is also one of the victim of scammy ieo's and he already loose big , this could be the reason why he accused ieo's so bad
4186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There are many scammers doing fake sales of Libra - example on: August 03, 2019, 05:54:56 AM
People should be updated, Libra coin is not going to launch anymore,

For what reasons on why libra isnt going to be released ?  Sorry but im not a bit updated on thier coin . although i heard rumors before about the cancellation of this coin but i dont believe them because its too early  .

Fb's libra coin is becoming popular so its not new if one day we will see scammers using this coin but its now happening  .    this thread or this news rather will be used as a wake up call to warn others that will be going to invest on libra coin   .
4187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With Bitcoin, a future is not clear on: August 02, 2019, 04:10:54 PM
Sure it's a big risk but the potential of earning big also there plus this idea isn't new anymore and infact other big guy's were also selling bigger properties not just a single property but with a total/complete package including appliances , cars , etc  ..

instead of discouraging those guys , why can't we just slaute them for being courageous  . And hey, they were the ones that is helping the price to recover and skyrocket
4188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Dex exchanges are safe? on: August 02, 2019, 03:34:33 PM
avoid new DEX, from new ICO projects or those that do not yet have a high trade in their exchanges. it will be very risky. and another, always use a new wallet to access DEX. which of course do not use that there are many assets in your wallet.

I think it's normal for a decentralized exchange to have a low volume because less users are only using them .

Most trader still prefer to trade on a cex type exchange  . But your still right that it's better to avoid newer exchanges just to avoid any problems  because we won't know if they are shady or what   .

Using existing wallet to trade on a dex  exchange isn't a problem but don't just use your private keys for safety reasons
4189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don;t be tempted to Sell OUT; HODL on: August 02, 2019, 12:14:26 PM
don't let yourselves be tempted with current pumps.

Being tempted to sell on a pump is way more better than selling at a loss or selling at a dump just because your to scared and you think that your coins are doomed  .

selling at the current prices will not help you to make profits,

The current prices are still better than the last years prices but the choice will still depend on the user  . if he bought his coins lower than the current price then its not a bad idea to sell but he shouldnt sell out if he bought his coins at highs because he will only loose .

Hodl is cool but we need cash  . dont be afraid to sell some and treat yourself if you think you already earn some .
4190  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto? on: August 02, 2019, 11:06:21 AM
I am not from Africa but what I am sure of is that crypto is good for everyone. It does not belong to a chosen people. It is built for everyone,
I agree with your opinion. I also feel that crptocurrency is suitable for all places, not only in Africa, but throughout the world

Yes thats true  . cryptos are created for all people/countries but the problem is that every country has its own president or government and they are the ones that can decide first if what is good and bad for thier people  .  they can ban cryptos whenever they wanted to and you as a regular individual cant do anything about it  .

Anyway , i dont see any illegalities of cryptos on africa but i cant decide if its a good place for cryptos  or not  . some can conduct a survey on that country to see their perfromance
4191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Run ‘Hasn’t Started’ on: August 02, 2019, 09:13:52 AM
everything here in the crypto world is unpredictable even speculators having a hard time to guess the next move of the market.
not totally everything because there are those stable coins that dont fluctuate too much  . they are predictable   .  specualtors on the other hand should not try hard because they still cant guess the movement of the coins accurately  . speculating or predicting should not be taken seriously  .

What we can do is just look at the current news and price and what will gonna happen next.
thats not easy as it seems . news and price wont dictate the next flow of the cryptos  .

Bitcoin halving will give a new ATH and i'm sure on that but i don't believe it will take a lot of time to actually see the next ATH.
if thats true then you should confidently say that the ath will happen next year because i heard that the halving will start on 2020 .
4192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTT rapid fall on: August 02, 2019, 05:11:43 AM
Btt coin is not the only altcoin that fallen in price, many altcoins have already lose there price

i dont get you , you said btt is the only one that drops but you also claim that alot of alts already decrease  . if many alts already drop , btt should already be included on them  . got it ?

im glad im able to make profit from btt coin investment already, with time altcoins will heal
you said earlier that btt falls , so how can you say that you already earn a profit from it ? if altcoin recovers, there isnt any assurance that btt could follow but there is a high chance that btt could recover if the value of btc recover and pumps up  .

@op . nothing new about it  .  even before  , i knew that this btt coin was only being hype and i already foreseen that it will dump hard  . and im correct because ,  its now  happening
4193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to the Crypto market? on: August 02, 2019, 04:28:20 AM
I think the market is now very much changed and many of the coins begin a bullish trend , as bitcoin began a bullish trend and other coins are also beginning to grow I think by the end of the year we will see a good growth.
many people say that, but I'm not too sure about the bullishness that will occur at the end of this year. I think bullish will occur at the end of next year.

on  what is your opinion based on? why not in 2 years? or 2 months? Smiley
I always smile when I see such predictions

his basis is that he sees the current market today is performing bad . i did agree on him actually because thats what i also observed  . the price increase is not stable and the price still falls downs from time to time  . why he says the price will increase next year  ? because many are saying that there will be a halving next year  .  why not in 2 years  ? because there is still no good updates on the next two years  ,  but why not next 2 months ? because  , like i said earlier the value of cryptos these days are not doing well  , so there is a posibility that they will continue working this way  .
4194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the best gambling games originally from Asia? on: August 02, 2019, 03:59:22 AM

Cockfighting did not originate in Philippines so I don't think this is in the list.

Despite the fact that cockfighting is so popular in our country, as far as I know it did not originate here. I guess we can include the gamble of kids or sometimes adults with the spiders they caught on mountainsides since I did not heard it in other countries. Another thing is the Kara, or the other gambling games that includes coins in the streets of the Philippines.

it may not originated in the philipines but philipines is still an asian country and they love to gamble using cocks/chicken  .  the game also popular on other asian country as well as spider games like you mention or shall i say insect fights in general because there were also other insects that being used to gamble . card games also is verry popular on the asia . there are many kind of games inside the card game category  but any of these are being played every single day on our place  .
4195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things all gambling websites/apps/games should have? on: August 01, 2019, 08:53:53 AM
I'm curious to know what you all feel are the most important features of gambling websites/apps/games?

There are the things I want to have in a gambling sites. They shouldn't have the minimum required in exhanging coins. And low house edge like .5% for a greater chance of winning for a gambler. Also, some may required high amount of minimum payout, they should lower the required minimum amount of withdrawals. And, they should improve the design of the dice not just roll under and roll over.

I also like that . i think its cool for a site ( not just a gambling site ) to have a no minimum exchange required or no withdraw thresehold so that we can withdraw whenever or whatever funds we have but i think the chance are slim for it to happen because the reason why the set limits is because they also want to earn  . they will also loose because transaction fees are not free . the .5 percent house that your talking is also impossible because that is way too small  .  i believe 1 percent house is the lowest but its rare .
4196  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Libra Disrupt The Financial/Economic System? on: August 01, 2019, 08:18:42 AM
Libra is bullshit and I think is not have good planning at the future, do you know how long Libra have planning for launching their project to the public, but until right now they are still trying for their product.
I have read online that libra may not be launch but i think it is to reduce the effect of libra on the cryptocurrency pricing. From what has happened we now understand that libra is bullish on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies generally. I could have be happy if governments allow libra to be launch as this could have enabled easy adoption of bitcoin.
You mean they are faking that libra coin wont be launch just because they want to decrease the price ?  Thats a silly strategy but that might be the reason for the recent decline  of bitcoin and other cryptos  . but thats better if they wont launch libra coin so that it wont make any noise and it wont make any impact on the price of cryptos  .
4197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption Over Bull Run on: August 01, 2019, 07:28:41 AM
Bull and adoption were both the same because if there will be adoption the value will increase and result for the pump of the price   .  both adoption and bull run is the wish of all crypto users because this was the only way that  their investments can grow and its also a solution for a dumping portfolio  .  but this adoption wont make the cryptos stable  . though price stability can also be an answer to avoid losses but the downside is that you cant earn bigger if price was in stable condition
4198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Should Know Before Playing A Crypto Betting Game on: August 01, 2019, 06:33:46 AM
I think that all crypto betting games are designed to make a profit for the site owner, and therefore the odds are always against you. I would avoid them, and try some other form of gambling where you have a better chance of winning if you use your skill and knowledge.

Although the main purpose for developing such games is profit for the owner, its users should expect fairness. I would rather give money to a charity than play a game that the name contains "lucky" or "magic" - those are two watch words for me.

I agree with you; earning with one's skill and knowledge is far better. That's why I used play around dApps on the steem blockchain in the past.

Thier main purpose might be for profit but there are secondary purpose that their costumers can experience and that is for entertainment and also to be able to profit . giving money to a charity is good than giving money to a gambling for free without expecting any returns but the reason why you play gambling is that you are expecting for some profits .
4199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you could rename Bitcoin what name would you give it? on: August 01, 2019, 06:01:15 AM
If im not mistaken there was a thread here before on bitcoin discussion about renaming bitcoin  . they say that bitcoin will be renamed but i dont know if that is true or its only a rumor , now there is this thread again about renaming bitcoin  . imo bitcoin is already a nice name and i dont like to be renamed it by someone else because this will become unrecognizable to others and it might affect its performance
4200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC Process (Sportsbook) on: August 01, 2019, 04:13:05 AM
I can not understand a bit why gambling may require passport data.  How can a gambler launder money if he sells nothing and does not buy, but spends money on bets?  In addition, how many percent sure that a gambler will win?  I think that talking about money laundering is pointless.

Kyc Is not all about money laundering but it do have lots of purpose  . kyc on a gambling/sportsbook is infact usual and okay to do , you will be shock when i tell you that even bounties and airdrops today did also require a kyc . these activities didnt need a cash or a crypto in order to get started  , so will you still complain and argue that a sportsbook/casino will ask for a kyc/pasport ?
