Transgenders cut their dick off and turn the skin inside out so it resembles a vagina.
41% of them commit suicide after the surgery.

Source. I mean, a credible source for that stat.
4182  Other / Serious discussion / Re: So many Exit scams Now on: February 02, 2020, 12:22:15 PM
Sometimes they are not scams as such, but simply projects that are run by a bunch of monkeys. E.g. launch a token, use 20k + 3 peoples time and the rest promising payments in tokens to the community promising to launch a rocket to the moon with 1M USD.

Most people investing in crypto are absolutely illiterate on what is a business not to mention risks, legal stuff,... so they will think that it is awesome and will make them millionaires in a week "like that guy with bitcoin".

To be honest, there is a limit on what you can blame on the scammers when people are so gullible. What is a fake ICO? Just exiting or also promising things that have almost zero possibility of being accomplished and pay super-salaries until dough runs out?
4183  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Am I doing money laundering there? on: February 02, 2020, 12:15:20 PM
Assume you have $650,000 in Bitcoin.
You exchange $300,000 into fiat and this is your only
source of income. You keep $180,000 after paying California tax.

...
Is this money laundering?

What if instead a car it was a house?
First of all, selling of BTC isn't usually taxed. It's the profits that are taxed as capital gains. You could do some accounting tricks to claim you acquired them with certain costs, even if it's cost of labor. ...

I am in for knowing said trick. Normally, you will have to provide documentary proof of evidence.

4186  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: The dimensions of SpaceX’s Starship 1 and 2 and Mars colonization on: January 18, 2020, 11:23:03 PM

That is one reason he converted the boring machines to run on electricity.

Please, just don't play shitstory. TBMs are running with electricity wayyy before Elon could walk.

It is estimated that Elon would need to reduce tunneling costs by a factor of more than 10. Drilling cost as today cannot be reduced by addressing a single factor, since there are around 10 main sources of costs and these include things such as permits, indirect costs, energy costs and many others that are not a problem of "Engineering"... As it is today, the Boring Company is a just a kids tale.

Having said that, reducing the diameter obviously reduces costs, yet there are safety factors to consider when doing so.

Ultimately though, will the Boring project actually take off? Will there be a demand for it and will it be a financially viable business to operate after the small trialling tunnel are tested?

Yes of course. My guess is that someone in Elon´s payrole finally noticed that most transport infrastructure in cities has to be buried. The money they can get from a Hyperloop system is peanuts compared to what they can make drilling.
4187  Other / Serious discussion / My tribute to Fravia on: January 18, 2020, 11:10:21 PM
A million years ago I was an avid reader of Fravia+´s blog. For some reason I just searched today in Google to find that there were no updates after 1999.

If anyone is interest in truly independent essays of the old style hacktivists, honest, without economic interest, just have a look around, sipping your favorite cocktail.

http://www.darkridge.com/~jpr5/mirror/fravia.org/aca400.htm

There are hundreds of essays here of time when the internet was not ruled by Google´s SEO rules, 144 characters and fake news.

I cross borders many times a year. I am "randomly selected for a in-depth search" 1 of every 3. Welcome to my world.

But they don't check the content of your disk?
Those are still high numbers!
Are you on some sort of list? o.o

Perhaps, I have a quite boring life but I know for a fact that there is someone in Mexico with a similar name that is on a list. My electronics devices are not searched, although I have been asked to turn them one of them once in a control.
4189  Other / Serious discussion / Re: We need Organisation or enforcement team to protect retail investors on: January 02, 2020, 11:28:52 PM
We need to protect retail investors!

If you want a central authority protection, do not invest on decentralised assets! There are many other investment options that are heavily controlled and regulated.
And by the way, just read the f**ng disclaimers that are sometimes longer that the Lies Paper... I mean, the White Papers.
4190  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Should I spend my cash, or save it? on: January 02, 2020, 11:26:07 PM
Below are purely my thoughts, as these things are subjective from person to person, from a social class to another.
I don't see any advantages of purchasing a new car apart the fact that is new. I find it the worst investment (after womans)...
Of course! Women would always be on the top of the list ..

By definition, investing is sacrificing and immediate gain for a future return, so women don´t belong there. They are marvellous though.

The chances of the border police asking what's on your disk are probably around 1 in a million. At best.

4194  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Guaido is out of time for his bid for presidency, on: November 29, 2019, 06:55:21 PM
This means that he no longer has a claim against Maduro, and the US will have to invent some other puppet to use.

I doubt they will. I think from a political point of view, since more and more countries accepting Guadio, there is no way back. This coup will continue until Maduro is gone.

Whatever other countries support is meaningless. If de-facto power is held by Maduro - and that means that he has sufficient support from the military - you can say that the president is Mickey Mouse and will have the same effect.

Perhaps on a country with strong links with the international community, it could matter... just a bit.

the last US president of Venezuela ( Rafael Caldez ) [...] resulted in the election of Hugo Chavez
Whenever the US of A try to establish a sock puppet in a foreign country, it somehow backfires.
Well, I could list the success histories too, starting with Pinochet.
Sure Roll Eyes
27,255 tortured and 2,279 executed. In addition, some 200,000 people suffered exile

It is a success story for the United States. Obviously not for the Chileans or not for a large majority of them.

The underlying problem is the constant belief of the United States goverments in solving their issues with latin american countries by means o obliterating any government that oposes their economic interests, but with little regard on how stable can be the society that has to "endure" such governments. The result cannot be other than a shift to the opposite sign as soon as the imposed goverment has a sign of weakness and then again, an expensive, inhuman and antidemocratic intervention... rinse a repeat.

It just seems that USA is unable to apply
4195  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Discussion on the origin of the Ivory Tower on: November 29, 2019, 06:49:14 PM
In opera, and aria is a long song.

Not long , just a "solo". Aria sounds similar to "aire" in Spanish, "air".

Any way, an Ivory Tower is a place far from reality so the name of the section is perhaps not an accurate description I´d say.

4198  Local / Mercado y Economía / Re: Nicolas Maduro pagará aguinaldos en petro on: November 22, 2019, 03:12:48 PM
