At my house no I am the only one , but maybe yemennet the Internet provider change ip every now and then that’s not my fault.
Try to get another IP address if you can. IP addresses only get blocked when they have been abused by a large number of accounts. I know that I am not saying it’s a job, I am just explaining why I claim a lot.
You can set an alarm and get up and claim 24 times a day if you want. We have people that do that and we don't mind. So are you going to fix my problem or should I delete my account and forget about it.?
It is all working as it should so there is nothing to fix. Did you read the 2 posts I linked to that explain how to get back to full reward?

Hmm... not exactly... the problem is that a lot of people I've noticed are less active than me, more spammy and aggressive in their posts... yet they have 500+ more merits than me. The only reason for that is because they joined a few months ago. I created an account here when I was experienced enough to have something to post but if I had created an account earlier spamming "moon moon" here and there I'd have higher rank and I'd be rewarded with sig campaigns. Isn't this unfair?
There was nothing to stop you posting something constructive even if you didn't have experience. Just reading and then asking questions that weren't fully explained in what you had read. You're bitter because those that came before you had an easier ride. That's just part of life. They should at least start everyone from the same level. Older members should have sMerit to give but not tons of merit.
It would have been better if this system was always in place but it wasn't needed then as this forum was used by Bitcoin enthusiasts to meet and discuss relevant issues. Over the years there has been an influx of people that have heard they can make money from posting here. That meant this change was necessary and some way of transitioning to it was required. Grandfathering in existing members is common practice when changes like this are made and that's because it is the fairest way to do. Taking something away from people that they have already earned can never be fair. The fact that it is more difficult to earn it now you'll just have to live with.
If I had bought more Bitcoin when I first started to read about it, I would be a multi-millionaire now. I didn't, so I'm not - does that mean that the Bitcoin system is unfair?
Me too. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fdeadfortaxreasons.files.wordpress.com%2F2014%2F02%2Fits-not-fair1.jpg%3Fw%3D300&t=664&c=R9uKSFAkL7-kEA)

Thats not fair to claim a money for everything and every privilages on this forum :"(
Nobody is forcing you to use the forum. You're already a Jr. Member, so you can post images anyway. Do you think the web hosting and the staff to run and moderate it are free as well?

4. People who feel the unfairness of having limitations because you were a reader with no account for 6 months and an active member for 5 months, yet spammers who made accounts earlier and people who buy merits seem to be above us and can freely farm signature campaigns. PS: Was that too specific to my situation? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) So you feel unfairness because you arrived too late?

Hello team, will you support the new monerov after the snapshot date (~30th of April)??
There's no team here to answer you. I only remember Bitfinex supporting the Bcash and Bgold forks so I think it's pretty unlikely they will start supporting every little altcoin pre-mine scam fork.

Another alternative for 2FA is WinAuth https://winauth.github.io/winauth/I find it more convenient as I only trade from my PC and you can also export your tokens to an encrypted file and print them out and make a backup. I've lost a lot more phones than I have PCs over the years.

I am truly interested in cryptocurrencies. I like it's technology, I like to use it as a payment method and I really enjoy it as an investment. I think my love for Bitcoin and crypto made this path easier.
That's the most important distinction between you and those moaning. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Well done and thanks for proving the system is working as intended.

I got this message from freebitcoin “ Sorry, this IP address has been blocked. If you are using a proxy, VPN or anonymization service, please turn it off before claiming free bitcoins“
What did I do? I don’t have proxy I don’t use any services
Are you sharing an IP address? We only block IPs if too many accounts are claiming from them. my claim was down from 29 to 18 then 14 now I am not a pot I just signed up 10 days ago or something I claim at least 10 to 12 times a day
This is how it is supposed to work. Please read the "Why does the amount of Bitcoins that you can win, keep changing?" link on the main page of the site and then read these two posts. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.msg33256576#msg33256576https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.msg33423133#msg33423133 I am new to crypto world I don’t have a job it’s war zone around me I don’t have anything in my life but the internet so I am all day online is this a crime?
Freebitco.in is a gambling site with a faucet. This can never be a replacement for a job. I am not a bot That’s my Id 13157532
Please fix this
We're not saying you are a bot. Everything is working as it should.

when if something better comes around
Fixed it for you. So far Bitcoin is leading the adoption and development race and is much closer to have a solution to scaling issues than any of its competitors. If someone does invent some snazzy new idea, it also has the best developers to implement it first. So the risk of Bitcoin being supplanted is quite remote. I haven't seen you around for a while but I see you finally got around to deleting the old posts from whoever owned that account before you. You're still stuck with the name despite not having their interest in the freight business. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I've noticed that a couple of users now have sub-ranks such as "copper member" and "gold member". I didn't find any mention of these in the first post, and while examining it, I also noticed that the original poster has "global troll-buster" under their username. Anybody can shed some light on this? Thank you.
Copper membership can be purchased Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable imagesThe others you have seen are a 'Custom title'. The user can set it to read whatever they want. To get this you can donate 50 BTC and become a VIP, get a job as a global moderator or just ask nicely.

I have a Question, how do you go from being a newbie to a junior,
The answer is in the OP (that enormous thing you just quoted for no reason). if you can't post in the first place, is there some magic room I need to enter. I'm trying to boost my status but no idea how to? I'm not sure if this place is ran by slytherin or Mark Zuckerberg,
You can post. either way could some please give me merit so I can move up.
It is not permitted to beg on the forum. Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ7. No begging. Carry on like that and you'll get banned. Signed lost in bewilderment and angst!
You will be until you start reading things.

By the way, there seems to be an enormous amout of users that create an account and leave it there with cero posts, although they may be login in every now and then. I don't get the point of creating the account in these cases, since the forum may be browsed (unless it is to gain access to the search feature).
Lots of accounts are signed up by spambots and then get 'nuked' by the moderators. This bans them and also deletes all their posts. It is still possible to login to a banned account as it is just banned from posting and sending PMs. So it could be the bots still trying to post from a banned account. Other reasons to register an account beyond the search function are to use the watchlist and send PMs.

Thank you. yes this is good system but not for a forum in such condition. This system had to be like this from very start. And now it is circus when youngsters who entered forum 6 months before me teach me how to live because they are Hercules Members.
I highlighted and will answer the only part written in a form of English that is understandable. It would have been good if this system was implemented from the start but it wasn't needed then as this forum was used by Bitcoin enthusiasts to meet and discuss relevant issues. Over the years there has been an influx of people that have heard they can make money from posting here. They mostly have no interest in Bitcoin and have nothing to discuss about it. Merit has effectively closed the door for more of these people to come here and pollute this forum. Your only resentment is that you arrived too late.

no worries, i respect your decision.
however im surprised that you say no-one wants to advertise directly on a faucet - the other big faucets that use mellow ads seem to get plenty of direct advertising. and of course even without that then you will still earn from their backup network ads
anyway, dont know why im even suggesting this - if you use mellow ads then you will take a massive % of the daily pool which means myself and other smaller publishers would suffer!!
From what I remember a lot of the adverts were far from mellow with garish animated gifs and were very distracting, not giving a very good impression of the site. With the rebrand coming and adding an exchange we're happy with moving away from the image of just being a faucet. Bringing back adverts would be moving in the opposite direction to that we want to.

but you are just one of brainwashed sheeps.
The classic answer of a fool that doesn't have an argument. The system is meant to stop people who do not deserve it from ranking up. Your mindless suggestion of making it a currency is completely counter to that. It is very simple.
|
|
|
good. the first one who is close to understand what I mean. But not very close.
That is because what you mean doesn't make any sense. You have failed to understand that if Merit was exchanged like a currency it wouldn't serve the purpose it was designed for.

you could always use mellow ads like i do and filter out the "investment" ad category which hyip/ico/cloudmining all come under. i still make a reasonable amount each day and i bet you would make much more given the large traffic to freebitco.in ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) you get left with ads for things like gambling/casino sites (but you filter that out too if you want to!), other faucets, etc We had Mellowads before but if you filter those out then the others don't want to advertise on a faucet. We removed advertising for a reason and nothing has changed since then.
