Check the list of orders on the top right button, then sort for your country and see where your order is with searching for "your order". You might be at the bottom with a high discount. Maybe its harder for some amazon countries to get a buyer? Dont know. |

Can i disable all addresses in a transaction that i dont care about? for example only my address receiving even when other received too in the same transaction?

I'm sure that he only did add -trust because he did feel that something was wrong with the transaction. I don't blame him either. If this was something that could have put him at risk of having to pay for something that he was just trying to help with, its completely understandable. I like Quickseller and thinks that he does a outstanding job zeroing out the scammers and potential scammers on the forum, I don't think that the rating should be changed, but shouldn't be added to by others either. I've seen tons of people just post on others trust because someone else did. While that's fine too, I think the circumstances surrounding this case feedback should only be left by Quickseller, and not by anybody else and Quicksellers notation in the trust should be this thread where it shows all the evidence of the case and let the person use their own judgement with dealing with this user. If I was the OP I would just give it some time and show people on the forum that you wasn't trying to scam anybody, that you made a small mistake in judgement and apologize. Then ask Quickseller to either remove it or rate it as neutral.
I only speak for me but i dont bother reading anything more when someone has red trust. Because in the past it was a sign for a scammer. Simply as that. And whats the small mistake in judgement? Am i understood it wrong that rules werent clear before the trade started? |

The trust system's main function is to prevent scams from happening, not to punish them.
Um... im happy you are no judge as profession. I mean the defendant doesnt want to speak... he must be guilty. I really dont think it makes sense to leave the trust system for people that decide someone might scam. Who are they to judge before anything happened? If i would have done so i would have marked many persons red and i dont know of anyone who actually scammed later. Trust system protects against scammers who clearly offer things everyone can see are scam attempts. But going out of a deal is not enough to justify knowing he is a scammer. Quickseller not even claimed that. But the red color says he is now. I think only a handful would check where the red actually came from. I see you totally missed the point of what I said: First, it's not the same sending someone to jail than leaving a negative ratings, so comparing a forum to a court and a user to a judge makes no sense whatsoever. Besides a negative trust can easily be removed. I've left negative feedback when I have more than 50% certainty someone is a scammer and I keep watching. Most the times I confirm his intentions but of course more than once I've removed it a few minutes or hours later. Second, I said the user must have fishy or shady behavior that makes him suspicious in order for him to receive a negative trust. Of course him not wanting "to speak" is not enough (not sure why you even wrote this). The whole point of what I posted and you quoted is that the trust system must rely on a certain level of assumption. If someone clearly shows a scammy behavior then it's natural for him to receive a negative feedback, but not without any reason at all. Here I'm not saying OP deserves a negative trust (or doesn't). If you take control of an account prior to receiving payment then the identity of the account will leak to the buyer then the buyer could publish the identity of the account which would cause damage to the seller.
There are ways to make the transfer so that it isnt revealed. For example only changing after escrow has the coins in escrow address. Even if not, its up to buyer and seller to negotiate on a security level they feel comfortable with. Escrow only should step in when its unsecure for him or to give a tip about a potential risk. But at the end its up to them to decide what they feel comfortable with. It would also be that there could be a large amount of time that the escrow is in control of the account and it the account was immediately previously involved in something malicious then it may look like the escrow was behind the malicious activity.
I dont see that problem since its easily proven that the escrow isnt in charge. Another risk to the escrow would be that the account could get banned while in possession of the escrow and there would be a question of if the escrow did something to get the account banned or if it was the behavior of the seller.
Then you might let the logins send to you only after the escrow address is funded. Its highly unlikely that it gets banned in the time after that. A third risk to the escrow is what happens when the buyer takes a long time to pay. If the escrow is taking possession of the account first then there is an argument to pay the seller directly so there could be a delay in payment then the account would eventually get returned to the seller. If the buyer does not receive notification that the account is returned to the seller then the seller could end up with both payment and the account
Buyer funds first then. And why should the escrow release the coins to the seller before the buyer claims the accounts are secured? If the buyer were to pay first then funds would be safe for the buyer in the event that the seller is unable to deliver. The escrow would be in control of the private key associated with the escrow address so he can refund the buyer in the event the seller cannot deliver.
I am saying that ponzis were able to more easily deflect questions about their ability to be trusted and let them say that everyone that's runs a ponzi has negative trust and is not a reflection on them specifically.
Might be that scammers are often virtuous with words. Though assuming that this here was a scam attempt sounds a far fetched assumption. Its not that he posted some "Double your bitcoin"-Links, where you know with certainty whats going on. Edit: You have no way of knowing if the account named by the seller is actually owned by the seller, or even if it is, you have no way of knowing that the seller will actually provide the password to the account once escrow is funded. That method puts the escrow at risk.
Then the escrow gives back the bitcoins. No risk at all. Since those things practically never happens, its not a risk at all. Even when, no harm done. The seller can get a red trust and thats it. If he later comes and claims he was in hospital then things can proceed. |

Is the Cryptostocks platform still relevant? I have heard that it is not as active as it used to be and that projects have shifted away from them.
I know of Havelock and NXT, but what are some of the other popular stock platforms available.

I found that kumala, owner of cryptostocks, left behind cryptostocks without giving any support anymore. I tried to reach him on behalf of LCSH through different ways i found, but theres no chance to get an answer from him. I even contacted a user on here who claimed he knows him, though no answer.
So having anything worthwhile on cryptostocks sound like a risk. If something goes wrong then thats it i guess.
So these decentralized exchanges, with their IOU's, how sure can one be to get the equivalent of real currency out of the system? I mean some IOU's are given out by NXT itself but some are given out by others. Regardless of who gave them out... is there any security that you can get the value items for your IOUs or is there the risk that NXT or another issuer is simply a scammer?

When i read the posts i quoted i thought that this might be a point to consider for ndnhc. If you see 4 of the same commercials in a TV commercial break then you would not be more likely to buy that item. Thats why i brought that topic up. lol. it didn't actually seem to be directed at me. None of the quoted posts belonged to me, so I didn't assume so. Well, there is actually not many things we could do about that. If you see the same thing a lot, it will create an impression on your mond, unless you find it annoying, that is a good thing, esp. with building a brand image. Well, we also have a max posts limit to check on that. Edit: IMO, you are more likely to notice an ad that appears more frequently. How many times do you see the same ad on TV in a day? Im on blockr.io but the values arent clickable or if they are they lead to the actual transaction. did you clicked here  because it work fine for me, i'm using chrome Oh, you mean on the front page. But unfortunately that option seems to be only for the chart on the frontpage. It doesnt automatically calculate the bitcoins to the Euro-Worth of the time of transaction. Or is there a way? I was making at least 150 posts per week and the last two weeks had made close to 200 posts. I had been asking for higher posting limits for a while too  I really don't see why anyone would need to make 100 posts per week much less 200 posts. To me, that seems rather unnecessary and looks as though you do it just for signature money. There are hero/legendary members who don't post nearly half as much. Apparently, ndnhc and marco have you on a pedestal. Since your posts are "super" constructive, why not apply for a moderator/staff position here? I look forward to your 200+ posts per week O' wise one! He was probably making close to or around that before he even joined any sig campaigns. He just advertised his own thread up until a month or so ago. I don't see the correlation between how many posts a Hero or Legendary makes either, and you don't apply to become staff, you get asked if you report a lot of posts and are very active (which he is so maybe he will eventually). When i have read your post i thought that posting often in the same thread doesnt make much sense marketing wise. You want the signature being seen by many users, not 20 times by the same user. Saying that, most users dont check threads every hour, they check a thread once every day or every two days. Of course i dont speak about the addicted ones. So when a user is posting 5 posts in the same thread in one day then its worth is diminished. The ad will be seen by the reader again and again. Though its worth more that many different users see the ads. And you get that by being present in as many threads as possible. So that you can be sure that a user reading is seeing one. Showing him 20 doesnt make him more likely to play there. Saying that... dadice is present everywhere anywhere. I only thought it might make sense to think about that. I dont know if there are many users who post the majority of their posts in single threads. Didnt explain someone in here before that this has to do with bitfinex running a cron-job only each hour? This job then checks if a swap ended and closes it.
If its handled that way then i think its not good. I cant even see how they will calculate it in a fair way if your swap is hold longer than both parties thought.
I think it has to be more frequently than once per hour - I've not seen longer than about 20mins. As for calculating the returns... I keep unnecessarily close track of what I expect to receive, and calculating it as if the return is paid for the exact duration of the swap has been successful enough to predict the daily payment to within a few cents of the actual figure (and it isn't all in one direction so it also averages out over time) So it averages out. The only downside of this would be if someone gives or takes an unusual big swap. Either the taker or the lender will have a disadvantage then. Though that might only be 1/50 of the amount. Im not sure if the waiting time is the best strategy to lower server use. I would prefer a more dynamic system anyway. Its not needed to only pay out once a day. Doesnt the taker have to pay instantly too? Otherwise he would be able to play with money he doesnt own anymore. It would be better if payments are moved from taker to lender at the moment the swap closes. |
