@tygeade I too feel that Ronaldo's goal will dry up soon, because teams will heavily Mark him, and he’s not the designated penalty taker for Manchester United hence one should avoid selecting him. Also I got only two right but I won’t say I’m disappointed, because it’s fine as it’s part an parcel of the contest.
Maybe he was not designated penalty taker for United but I am thinking he could be now after that bad miss from Fernandez. He is my default selection if I am picking united player. Who else would you pick? Only other options are Fernandez and Greenwood and I am quite sure Ronaldo will score more goals then both of them combined this season. Maybe when Rashford gets back we will have another option, for now CR7 all the way. I think Ronaldo would probably be the no 1 penalty taker for Man Utd soon enough... Poor Fernandez after almost a perfect record, the pressure finally got to him.. Not the best week for me, so many upsets and unexpected results left me with just 4.5 points so far.
Week started with strange results but then continued with rather expected ones. It is looking significantly better for most of us after Barca, Sociedad and Rayo wins. Too bad I did not manage to snatch at least one more correct score from these three matches. I am gonna be a little toxic and say Barca won this easy because Koeman was not on the bench  Fati returning should help them significantly in the attack. Not cool to depend on Depay so much, especially since he just came to the club. Looking forward to see how Aguero looks on pitch after he finally gets back from injury. Yes, the week is getting to a really interesting end for me quite unbelievably , I've been able to rack points from the last 3 games and I really could have easily snatched 3 points from at least 2 of them though, but seem Betis is going to hand me what would be my second exact point of the round, but I'm a bit about the 7 additional minutes being given in the games even though it's understandable due to series of injuries interruptions. And I'd also agree with your paragraph too, they should just let Koeman go already... It's not all hopes lost for the club tbh, Aguero would surely form quite an attacking threat with Fati and Depay, and Coutihno wasn't bad today too, keeping these players fit would just be the major hurdle imo. |

Wow Spurs. 3 games into the season, they were top, Arsenal bottom. 3 games later, whipped badly and they're in 11th, one place below the Gunners. How cruel fate can be in football!
Only one game left to make a difference tomorrow, I'm not too far off the bad pack (3 points from 2 games) so am guessing the draws wiped out most of us (I surprised myself, thought I'd added in a draw or two on the weekend games actually) but I think we can safely give this week's yellow cap to Big G, who may still end up getting 16.5 points after tomorrow.

I literally had the guts that Arsenal would and I've got a couple of Bucks on them, It's Tottenham that I really just can't get a hold of... It's all gone from bad to terribly worse for them, and ironically it's been since Kane got back to the squad. As for Arsenal the first of fixtures just weren't nice to them at all in my opinion and having watched what Brentford are capable of especially against Liverpool yesterday, it felt as though Arsenal losing them on game day 1 has been justified. Not so bad week I've only been right on just 4 occasions this game round, but I'm joint 2nd for the week round. |

A really more promising and positive day for Barcelona, they ran over Levante like it was no big deal, the easiest game Barcelona has played so far this season.

Real Madrid couldn't manage to beat Villarreal as it was a quite tough match. They actually performed better in the second half but they still had a difficulty in putting the ball into the net. But they are still the leader with 17 points. Sevilla defeated Espanyol by 2-0 but they are the 2nd while having a missing match. On the last weeks, these two teams are really the best ones in the league with their great performance.
It's been coming all along, despite Real Madrid free scoring form over the last few matches, I knew the team are not in the prefect shape but they still played well at least and not conceding any goal is another positive thing for them to take away from the match. Villarreal were confident on the ball and weren't didn't commit too many mistakes defensively, they took almost complete dominance of the first half and could have taken the lead. |

After today's results, I think I should retire from EPL pool. If someone think that they perform bad, just hold my beer - 1.5 from 7 games today. Brentford 3:3 Liverpool - how it's even possible? What a game it was! Ok, I can't complain that I didn't predicted upset in this or MU - Villa game. But this season I always back wrong side in 50/50 games like Chelsea - City or Watford - Newcastle. Tomorrow games including North London derby also doesn't looks easier to predict. So, wooden spoon, here I come!

Ole's never been a great manager, not for his tactics, or his team management. Every big game proves that, and the "smaller" games suggest nothing different. But silly me, I bagged Villa for a HT win on my ML, because the outright win was 8/1 and HT was over 7/1.

I really don't think it worked though, I checked in the people and it wasn't showing up as default picks... It only showed as no picks was made, or do I need to make any setting for the default picks to happen should incase it happens again in the future. I feel bad as there was an easy 1.5 points from City I let pass my by and it would have been really valuable as it was the minority pick. there's absolutely no way Bruno fernandes will ever take a pen again when Ronaldo is on the pitch...that was the worst penalty kick i've seen in a long time  #OleOut about to go trending 🤣 Looking at his almost perfect record from the spot for Man United, can we say knowing there's someone else going to take the duty from him should mess up was another form of pressure for him ? |

I guess nobody is actually expecting a lot from Barcelona, but betting on them to lose or draw is just another thing entirely, and it's even tougher in the pool where you have to pick just one of three possible outcome...
I would like to say I've avoided placing any bets on Barcelona for quite a while, but it can't be avoided in the pool and the thought of picking against them in the pool is just like wanting to give the other participants a free edge even while you're still competing.

With the expected return of Toni Kroos soon, Real Madrid's midfield will be almost complete with various players of experience and youth.
But Ancelotti will be faced with the challenge of choosing the most complete line, in terms of the required defensive assistance and the offensive diversity that is present.
There is the option of youth only and experience in times of trouble.for me With all the players, there are few names that needs to be getting some time on the pitch.
For now, the Real Madrid front and midfield are quite complete, especially with the return of Kroos and the arrival of new players Eduardo Camavinga who makes their midfield stronger and will greatly spoil the strikers at Madrid. but the shortcomings in madrid are still in the defense line considering their two mainstay defenders are still an unresolved problem so far even though they have succeeded in bringing in profits but there are still holes that can't be patched. it would be great when madrid managed to bring in Trent Alexander-Arnold from liverpool in the transfer market. I really don't think Real Madrid are their best shape right now, the goals tend to have being coming but that's also an indication that most teams of these teams aren't scared of the duopoly of Real and Barcelona, these teams no longer seat all defensively when facing either side. None of Real Madrid's recent games have gone without some shaky impression, even though they're at getting the desired results by the end of the day, it's clear that they're in a way better shape than Barcelona, but there is still a lot of work to be done. |

Probably there won't be easy games for Barca this season. And game against Cadiz away isn't an exception. I don't really know why bookmakers are giving just 1.45 for Barca win. I'm not so positive about our chances today... Should be tough for Barca, especially since I have a feeling players are also unhappy and they could (un)intentionally play a bit below their maximum to help Koeman get sacked. Anyway my money today is on Cadiz to score @1.7. Looks like high value odds to me since Cadiz is solid going forward and they scored in both fixtures last season when Barca was much better. Planning on watching at least first half from the bed to see how it is looking for Barca. Need 1:1 for correct score in the pool, so that is one result that is not happening for sure The bookmaker are probably just misleading bettors or there's more to odds than the shape of the team.. Barcelona aren't above average as team right now.. I knew something was literally wrong the odds maker a couple of weeks ago when Bayern Munich were valued at over 2 odds against Barcelona in the CL. Barcelona are down to 10 men, and it's still currently goalless so, maybe Cadiz might get or draw or perhaps all 3 points. |

Cagliari lost against Empoli, really did not expect that to happen, but my pool position shows that I do not follow Calcio as other competitions, and what I expect from Cagliari is not in line with their team and ambitions, last season we successfully avoided relegation in last rounds, but this season seems to be a harder one
I had Empoli to win 2 - 0, which mean I got all 3 points... It's actually surprising to see that it was just 4 players from the pool that went with Empoli, I literally didn't do much in-depth analysis with the pick, I just checked recent form I guess and decided to go with Empoli, Cagliari have become a victim of their last two season's performance, that had a pretty good run for sometime during that season and were at some point tipped to likely feature in Europe irrc, but finished the season way below average, they'll probably just keep battling it out of the relegation zone like they always do. |

This is really the Real Madrid that I want to watch! They had a perfect performance against Mallorca definitely. They just obliterated Mallorca by a huge score like 6-1. Benzema and Asensio were the stars of the night. Benzema scored 2 goals and made 2 assists. And Asensio made a hat-trick in this match. He played for 71 minutes and it was his first match that he played for a long time in this season. And with an impressive effort like this, Asensio already deserved another chance in his next match I think. Benzema is like always. He is the most valuable player at this team.
Real Madrid were ruthless today, It was as though watching Real Madrid from the BBC at their peak... The young lads played really well upfront and there was Benzema to lead the line with true character, he also had a goal cancelled which in my opinion was a bit harsh decision to make because the contact barely minimal and literally unintended. Asensio also seemed to be getting back to his best, Rodrygo, Camavinga and Valverde too were all impressive, good game all round. |

I expect goals tonight in Madrid, maybe over4.5 or even over5.5, seems as perfect setup, Mallorca is not so defensive and Real could fit into this day full of goals in Spain and Italy

It's been a really entertaining 45 minutes from both ends, despite being down by two goal, Mallorca are posing quite a lot of attacking threat. There surely should be more goals to come in the half. Atletico Madrid themselves are not being at their usual best, especially defensively, they've conceded almost a goal per fixture so far, and they are nowhere close to playing their toughest fixtures.
Atletico have such big attacking potential with Suarez, Griezmann, Felix and Carasco, but they still struggle to score against underdogs. Seems that under Simeone these things simply can't be different . And yeah, you have good point - conceding goals against teams like Getafe or Espanyol isn't good sign. Yeah, I'd agree that they've got much attacking options than they do defensively, hence the need to switch focus to where their strength lies. |

yeah, last night scores were mostly expected, and results came as expected, so there is many exact scores I missed Bologna, or to say it better Genoa, since I did not catch any of their results so far regarding BTTS, yeah, a lot of goals in Serie A last season, not following much, but rarely one can see results 2:0 or 0:1, it is always 2:1, 1:2, 1:3, it would be interesting to see how many matches last year were 3 goals exact, probably the most in all scoring ranges Both games so far today has ended numerous goals and both ends... I'm actually surprised by Juventus match against Spezia, I wasn't expecting a tough game for Juventus tbh.. But Spezia took the game to them, I was able to watch the first 15-20 minutes and I can say there was no sense of inferior feeling from the way Spezia played. Juventus can at least boast of a win after 5 league games  |

If Chelsea and Liverpool continue their same scores streak then we could see something like Chelsea 1-0 city and Brentford 0-1 Liverpool, but I think that's finally going to come to an end given the opponents involved and I actually think City will steal a victory in this match (and it goes without saying lfc will triumph at Brentford away).
I am thinking Chelsea is in better form and they will win against City again. City is great squad but they are always playing their own passing game and it falls short against good defences sometimes. Chelsea on the other hand has more options and they can win tough games like this on muscles. Yeah, Chelsea is indeed in better shape and form than Man City is right now, but I've not made my picks yet, but I most likely would be going with City... Chelsea have won the last 3 games between both sides, and I feel there will be a step up from Man City this time. Locking picks I do not find useful at all. I see everybody's predictions and I feel I did worse even before anything happens  I don't often lock my picks, I only do in some cases where I'm probably going against the odds and I feel like I might likely want to change my mind along the way (perhaps because I'm in contention to win the round) |

Oh Suarez, you lovely, lovely beast. Pulled your team out of the dumps once again, of course Getafe's red card helped but they deserved it anyway, double the possession and attempts. Saved one of my bets so far and got me the 1.5 points from Superbru... just wish I'd stuck with 2-1. Interesting club record too with Llorente the only Spaniard on the team, and the other 10 coming from 9 other different countries! It's only 6 games but Getafe can't be feeling too good 6 games and 0 points... if I were betting, my money's going to martingale on them from next match onwards  It impressive to say the least, Atletico Madrid last two win in all competitions have had to come at the hardest way, Suarez happened to be the hero today. Atletico Madrid themselves are not being at their usual best, especially defensively, they've conceded almost a goal per fixture so far, and they are nowhere close to playing their toughest fixtures.
