4181  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The knowledge we seek on: March 11, 2021, 11:05:35 PM
Learning they say never ends and so one can keep learning and upgrading his or her knowledge on a thing through out his life and would be marvelled at how much they never knew or is yet to know especially in cryptos which remains a developing field upto this day.
That's what learning and knowledge is about but, one can still be a professional of a field and this can only be attained through learning. One who is headed to a path and is determined not to fail ought to research on the failures of those that has taken such path and learn from them. This is what is obtainable in every field and it becomes your best guides against the huddles you'll come across and as such, learning becomes inevitable.

So, never stop learning in crypto
4182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Low quality topics on: March 11, 2021, 10:52:44 PM
As much as the judgement on either a topic is of high or low quality is based on individual perspective. There are some posts that fits so much into the category of being judged as a low quality post. This form of post is motive motivated.

I'll tag it "posting for merits".
I get the point that the merit system was put in place to encourage quality posts but it also results in some bad shit posts as users in there bid to earn merits fill the boards with unnecessary posts. When this sort of posts are made, it virtually gets no response then, you find OP moving thread across boards even with the fact that, the thread was just suitable were it was.

How are this sort of posts made?
They are generally merit motivated posts and as such, you don't bring out the contents as best as it should because,  it isn't from the mind. It lacks passion and desire to really pass something worth reading by the community so, its void of vital information.

Another way is by verbally copying a post and putting up the source link. Its not the best habit and should be avoided when necessary.

4184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think crypto trading can help nation with no Job create jobs? on: March 08, 2021, 10:56:48 PM
There are several ways to generate wealth within a nation and as such, relying on one, lets say trading is far from saving a nation from economic crisis. But, should there be other forms with trading as one passive form because, it's always a matter of professionalism and tactics, It could help and else some burden on the government. By trading, the dependency on government is reduced and you have a lot of productive individuals or active labour force within a nation, generating wealth and looking to reinvest in gainful fields within the nation.
4185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading from Scratch on: March 08, 2021, 10:49:36 PM
Day trading in bitcoin seems reserved for small investors who has not the patience to wait on the price action to play around with price until that big moves happens. For the small investors, should they have certain amount as capital, the percentage increase is often relatively low compared to when the funds would have been traded with. You gradually build and with the aid of stable coin, you could retain the value of your coin should the price falls which eventually presents you with a buying opportunity in the market.
While big investors with the luxury of time just stay long and hodl while time does the rest in profiting them.
4186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning is better than Following on: March 08, 2021, 10:39:04 PM
its just that you shouldnt really depend on it fully.
This is where it gets really bad. I don't exactly despises following because, following could also be learning. A good follower is expected to be a good leader or master someday so, following isn't exactly bad but the way you go about following could be. When you follow in a way that you follow blindly, not getting to know the reason for which you are following a particular trend or why it's expected to move that way.
Having to follow and ask questions won't be you following blindly but, it gives you an idea about why certain things is expected or happens the way they do in the market and you are able to build your base and confidence around those reasons. This is how following could be learning so, when you follow, learn a thing or two about it.
4187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selecting a proper way to store my Bitcoins on: March 08, 2021, 09:04:29 PM
About wallets, i won't recommended any at the moment as a few best have been recommended above already and it's a necessity that you do your own private research on each individual wallet before picking any and never to forget that, you are your own best security so, it is important you do all you can to stay private about your seed phrase, private key and even your password.

On the other hand, to send bitcoin to your wallet, you've just got to look out for the deposit address, copy it and paste it for whom or the deposit section of where you intend to be getting your bitcoin from.

Its also important to confirm the address after pasting, possibly by placing the addresses side by side using whatever means avail to you because, there are malwares with the capacity of switching the address and you never can be so sure. In one wrong instance, the address goes wrong and the deposit goes sideways. If its important to you, always have a means to confirm your address before processing.
4188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There is more that meet the eye on: March 08, 2021, 08:44:57 PM
Of a truth, this method of phishing might work just right and for those that like everything fancy at that. The fact that it's easy to build is what makes it so dangerous because, tons of it could be created and made available on the playstore.
What people must get to understand is that, everything or at least most comes at a cost. I'm not sure users of this forum would want to go for a fancy keyboard with the level of awareness on scams and hacks. Users don't have time for such intricacies i hope. Should a default keyboard works quite right, just use it than get fooled by some fancy keys.
4189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Major Risks in Crypto Business on: March 08, 2021, 08:26:25 PM
The only risk which scares people the most though, not particularly to investors or crypto enthusiasts at most, is the fact that, some people are still scared that one day, bitcoin would crash or suffer a blow that could drain its market totally. This is an unlikely event that only the pros in crypto are sure won't come to pass. With the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the activities of miners.

The other risks that investors face which all ends in lose of bitcoin are

Phishing attacks
Private key theft
Attacks from hackers on wallets and exchange
51% Attacks

These are only but a few but then, the research on risk continues.

4192  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Clicking Links Malware/Keylogger Question on: March 07, 2021, 08:50:32 PM
The closest way to being sure of a link is basically being sure of the site or platform for which you are operating on. A safe site means a safe link but that's relatively as there are also cases of an insider job and platforms can be hacked every now and then, there is nothing new about that. So, the closest way to avoiding falling into the phishing trap through clinks and possibly installing a malware on your device is by avoiding clicking on links that your not sure of or isn't anticipated for. Be about your business and know that there are internet fraudsters all around.

Mehnnn,,, today eh, i just go on visitation to one near by village, na so them brand two different types of palm wine give me for there hurt. One was just too sweet while the other one con be regular palm wine, e just normal. I enjoy myself well shah but, watin make me bring this talk here na the old man knowledge way come out for there talk. And na talk way concern us for here.

Mak una here am as them talk am, we fit argue am as them argue am kwa. Na parable o but, e be as e get! Them say;

Pigin: Person way them send message no dey carry package come back (That is, when them no bin really tell you to go bring something o)
English: Someone sent on an errand brings back no packages (That's when you weren't sent to go get something)
Meaning: This was contradictory so, you can argue it out if you want own apportion it your own meaning.

Pigin: Pikin way no resemble en mama or papa na market pikin e be.
English: A child that takes not the resemblance of the father nor mother belongs to the market.
Meaning: The meaning is contradictiory as well but, i'll explain this one a little on the two grounds we argued it.

1. When the child neither went with the mom or dad in resemblance either phenotypically or in character, it means that, that child was conceived in an adulterous relationship of either parent. On the other hand,
2. If a child doesn't take the resemblance of the Dad or Mom in either above ways, the strange expression could be from a dormant gene set resurfacing again.

Now, if the child is said to be a market child, should we return the child to the market?
4194  Economy / Reputation / Re: My account, a year old today on: March 07, 2021, 07:26:12 PM
It's just a year and you've been awesome all the way through your contributions and achievements as it could be seen in your many awards in the BPIP.org and you stand as a motivational figure to others with the need to build something valuable out of their accounts. Its quite a lot you've done, a job that would have taken many 2years to achieve and you did it all in one.
It's great to have you here and by your awards and appreciation, its an open clarification that the forum encourages and appreciates hard work so, for the beginners and others having a difficult time contributing to the forum, your efforts will be noticed in due time so, don't relent.

Congrats to you @Charles-Tim
4195  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MicroStrategy has bought more $1.026 billion worth of Bitcoin. on: March 07, 2021, 07:10:46 PM
Big investors are constantly strengthening their position from every dip for the next big market change.
This is what i've noticed to be occurring more frequently in the market after the last bullrun which we aren't sure have completely faded with the series of up and down nature the market has been displaying these days. The new wave bitcoin has created has made the market very biased as no big correction is observed in the market these days with big investors strengthening their position at every dip, investing huge in the market and making it pump once again with a lower high that is likely not to be broken sooner and so on.
4196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 07, 2021, 06:33:46 PM
A fair result for Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid today.
Yeah, this is the best you can expect for both teams and they did good not to disappoint their fans by either team not losing. It would have been such a shame should Atletico Madrid have lost and same goes to Real Madrid and the game surely cost both teams something. Real Madrid lost there place as 2nd on the league table while for Atletico Madrid, its now a Barcelona team closing in and soon, we can see a Barcelona team on top of the game once more even for few hours or days and should they maintain their form and Atletico looses a game, with their goal difference, they could top the league.
So, its an Atletico Madrid under pressure of loosing the league now.
4197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 07, 2021, 06:25:18 PM
Derby are like this, unpredictable as usual. There is still a huge gap between the two Manchester teams (9points) and the actual question now is whether this potential lost game can cause a shock for the citizens or not.
Good question. It's more easier for a lose to cause a shock in the Liverpool team than in the Manchester city team. The team has got what it takes to scale through all there huddles and to me, this little lose doesn't mean much. Besides, 9 points difference is a lot and it's going to take a lot to have Manchester city loose games again, NO, i don't see that happening.

Finally, i must congratulate the Manchester united for giving us a good watch, actually taking the game to the citizens on there home pitch and winning. Its unbelievable to finally see the team loosing some points though, they got all corners of the pitch covered, Man U still got them to loose. Good work Man Red.
4198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs GOLD on: March 07, 2021, 06:14:43 PM
Bitcoin is limited in supply while gold can still be mined and there is no finite limit. Also gold can be tempered while no one can tamper bitcoins.
This is the point that makes all the difference between the two. Bitcoin has value today due to it's use, intangible nature and the fact that, we can use it in transacting around the globe with little or no complications. Again, it's limited supply has made people attach a worth to it as a save of value being a rare commodity. This is the same function for which gold assumes and now, it's got a better competition in bitcoin and bitcoin is doing great so yeah, the gold market would certainly be affected but, slightly.
4199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can / cannot replace the banks ? on: March 07, 2021, 06:08:19 PM
I saw this topic a week ago and was just about saying something and before i knew it, procrastination got the better part of me!

When i saw the topic, i just knew it's a mirage, a common misconception most of we crypto enthusiast often have because, we've become so sucked into the tech field that we don't seem to see the relevance of other means of doing things that isn't tech based or related. As much as we enjoy having things done by clicking a few buttons, the real life isn't online, its right around you!!!

First, i'll like to ask this;
Is bitcoin a currency or structure? Same goes to the bank.
Are the banks a currency or structure?

I know bitcoin to be a currency while the bank is a structure comprising of a network of persons that manage affairs of currency and valuables. That's just my simple interpretation of them both and there is a lot of difference if you could look at it from this view point.

Being your own bank with regards to bitcoin and altcoins alike simply means being in charge of your own currency affairs, it doesn't necessarily mean your a bank or makes bitcoin a bank. Your wallet could have better assumed that position with you as it's staff (sorry, i just have to put it that way).
But then, fiat is still very necessary and banks will still be printing that which makes the existence of banks inevitable coupled with the fact that, a country's note as per currency is a symbol to that country so, it not being in circulation is a wiped identity for such nation and we all know that isn't going to happen.

Bitcoin and fiat is here to work together and nothing is replacing the banks. Banks adopting cryptocurrency is the best we can expect to happen and not the other way round.
