4181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun’s Weibo Account Has Officially Been Shut Down on: December 15, 2019, 06:46:39 AM
*snip*

For sure, China will suffer and regret in the future about not embracing Bitcoin, TRON and other cryptocurrencies in the market.

Why do you think they suffer from that? They are doing what ever they want, anything decentralized enough don't fit in Chinese totaliarism while they want total control, and that's the only reason they want the blockchain based traceable currency, It has nothing to do what people or unbanked want.

And any nation who truly understands permissionless decentralized currencies surely don't want to adopt them, as they (cryptocurrencies) are a threat to the very core of their old status quo.
4182  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EarnBet.io - The First Player-Owned Casino 🎲Provably Fair 🎲BTC ₿ on: December 14, 2019, 07:17:34 PM
I think this project is somewhat confused with its main chain and brand/identity. At first, they decided to use EOS and then brand its project as EOSBet. And now, EOS is unusable, so they have to move to another chain and doing the rebranding from zero.

How if WAX then become clogged like EOS? What is next? How if EOS then able to solve the problem, do they move back to EOS? Damn, this project sounds like a good idea at first, before the reality hits.

At a glance, WAX looks like just another fork of EOS. << correct me if I'm wrong.

I would have suggested Cardano as a replacement chain, at least Weiss Crypto Ratings thinks they beat EOS in everything. But they never asked us, so i am not sure why some people seem to think that we somehow are the owners of earnbet.
4183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Things you could purchase with Cryptocurrencies (Opera Merc) on: December 14, 2019, 06:15:49 PM
I was bored and decided to surf my Opera browser wallet d'App section and the first app I stumbled upon was the Opera Store where you can enjoy access to Enjoy access to exclusive, limited-edition Opera-branded crypto merch. Instant payment with built-in Opera Ethereum wallet. I saw a thread recently asking if people has ever purchased something with Cryptocurrencies before, personally I have paid for services using Cryptocurrencies and one of the best ways of refilling my airtime or data balance is with https://www.bitrefill.com/.

To access the Opera Store, all you have to do is go to the wallet section of the browser, Click on the D'App icon on the bottom right part of the wallet (on mobile devices) and the very first d'App you would see is the Opera Store, you could purchase a number of Mercs there like branded hoodies, mugs and much more.

If you have been wanting to purchase something with Cryptocurrencies, here is your chance to make your first purchase for little to nothing, because some products there are as low as $11 (including tax and delivery).

If you know other stores or services that accepts Cryptocurrencies, you can share here as well to help others discover the awesome things they could do with Cryptocurrencies.

Sweet, i noticed that you can also buy "Hotels.com USD" -cards, does anyone know if i can use these in Europe or are these gift cards regional somehow. I know that i can rent places from Europe in hotels.com but just were wondering the usd part.
4184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Upbit hackers using EOS tokens for money laundering? on: December 14, 2019, 05:29:43 PM
A new strategy is being tried out by the notorious Upbit hackers. They are attempting to use a decentralized exchange to convert their holdings to an EOS-pegged token.

On-chain analysts and exchanges have been closely monitoring the movement of stolen funds from Upbit since late November. The nearly $50M of stolen ether has been on the move since then. As BeInCrypto reported, the hackers are attempting to cycle the ETH through multiple wallets. However, they are now employing an entirely new strategy.

Click here to read the full news

I know that there are some who are closely monitoring those stolen funds that are being hacked. Blockchain has helped us a lot to keep track of the movements of our funds, as “blockchain doesn’t lie”.

Now that these notorious hackers are having a new kind of strategy, in which they will be using a DEX to convert those stolen funds into EOS-pegged tokens.

Every hacker has their own strategy no matter if their transactions are closely monitored on the blockchain. I just felt sorry for those who are affected by the Upbit hack last November.

What would be your reaction to this one guys?

Their tactics doesn't really matter, people are now more determined then ever catching scammers and hackers, even the main centralized exchanges are coordinated and exchange information on these people. It's bow harder then ever to hide, and these kind of sums will be followed until the hacked makes a mistake and links his identity to an account.
4185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO/IEO projects are lying to airdrop and bounty participants for a long time! on: December 14, 2019, 05:04:57 PM

There should definitely be some stadanrdisations on these bounty announcements, i can't remember this even being a thing while ago but i have also noticed it while ago that projects seem to flash dollar signs instead of the allocated bounty %. This is not my problem as i don't browse trough bounty pages but it must be insanely frustrating for people who do.
4186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VeChain Foundation buyback address hacked on: December 14, 2019, 04:31:25 PM
I wonder why the Vechain Foundation dares to buy back the proceeds of crime from hacking? How can they communicate with hackers and can agree on their request? I think this will trigger other hackers to make requests to victims in the same way, which is to buy back from hacking.

What are you talking about? There were not any such requests. VeChain Foundation on the other hand has bought back coins like it was planned all along. And because vechain foundation didn't burn them and got sloppy on security, they got stolen. Or so they claim... Could be a rogue employee or a job planned like this from a start, we don't know.
4187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I think Libra Coin will Win on: December 13, 2019, 12:45:48 PM

"Win"? It hasn't even launched and probably doesn't even get to do that. Not until the government gets it to comply on making it their own Orwellian tool of control and surveillance.
And they can and will control it as it's not permissionless in any way.
4188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New solutions on existing industries on: December 13, 2019, 12:38:06 PM
Hello there. What I have noticed these days - there are more and more solutions being brought to the market, however every particular one requires deeper analysis. And what I always pay attention to - practical value and benefits for users. What makes sense - there are pretty young and bold solutions even on the industries with large key players. For example, my latest discovery is Sapien network that is entering the social networking industry with a truly advanced working product. I am also wondering to know whether you are having also any examples of the solutions that are young, but promising and with real value

There has been so many social network projects that want to do decentralized versions of it and somehow they all end up to be steemit copies. I am not even sure why would we need another one. Twitter just announced that they are studying a possibility to go full decentralized, and that would be absolutely stunning for adoption and spreading the word.

Only way any kind of these new projects would take off is they could beat the functionality of most social networks combined and even then they don't have the adoption solved and it would end up to be another google+
4189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for legendary advertisers (payment in our token) on: December 13, 2019, 08:15:36 AM
Were looking for expert crypto marketers to help us with promotion of our blockchain focused website.

If interested, please contact us on telegram at: maars_support

Must be willing to accept payment in our token. (Our token is not on exchange & will be a utility token.)

Please contact us to discuss project, work & payment terms.
https://t.me/maars_support

You could at least give some information about the project we are supposed to advertise, and the specs on the bounty in the public so we can at least have something in writing.
There's no way i am going to pm first some random telegram account begging for some shady deal.
4190  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EarnBet.io - The First Player-Owned Casino 🎲Provably Fair 🎲BTC ₿ on: December 13, 2019, 07:30:23 AM
1. They have the best wallet out there for non crypto users. Just login with your facebook account of google account or one of the other options. And you can play all the dapps.

I am not yet sure how i feel about this but it sure as hell gives a boost for adoption  Just tried it and they have 2fa as well so that's a huge plus on trust. This could be insanely good thing for us.
4191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless projects! on: December 13, 2019, 07:17:48 AM
Hello, I would like to know which projects have really achieved their goals after an ICO/IEO/ITO. Is there a page or statistics about it?
The most projects that have achieved their goals its value fell unbearably. So my advice is do not ever analyze it based on ranking or achievement. But if you are still curious, please check this website https://icodrops.com/ico-stats/, there is a lot of information you need

Never mind the price, but keeping on the schedule can't be ignored,
I would invest way more likely to something that has delivered what they promised in the past then some project that has delivered only broken promises.
The price trend isn't everything when you are an investor, and if you are a trader, prepare for fall if the project ever delivers because people sell the news.
4192  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin going to $9200? on: December 12, 2019, 07:57:33 AM
Bitcoin (BTC) is ready to soar the short term – opinion

Check the article, guys!

https://coinstelegram.com/2019/12/10/bitcoin-btc-is-ready-to-soar-the-short-term-opinion/

Article? That's an "opinion" piece, hopefully not yours. Because if trash like that were put as real articles, no one would subscribe.
Rather then linking to cryptonomist tweet directly, the writer decided to lure in some misogynist bullshit like this, and that's the only opinion from the writer in this article.

The secret to the popularity of Cryptomist, perhaps, is not so much that the analyst gives correct forecasts, but that the pretty girl is on the avatar. We love girls! But far from their competence in crypto finance …

No wonder women seem to think that this is a toxic place.
4193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After 50% hike in Two weeks, Matic dropped 70% in Minutes on: December 12, 2019, 06:17:04 AM
I thought that their team members just dumped the majority of their tokens and it is not the way it works. Matic has good potential, but if they have such greedy people at their wheel, it can likely end very bad for all.

I can't see having any potential with the fear of team dumping the token value with a flash crash in the future. No matter the tech, investor trust has been tainted by the team by artificially manipulating the price and that's hard to recover from. Hopefully their team at least can find a good use for that money. I am still thinking about shorting it if i find a right price range.
4194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A good way to open the door to the Chinese virtual currency market on: December 12, 2019, 06:03:27 AM
There are many project teams who want to enter the Chinese market.
But because of the language and lack of understanding of Chinese habits, this is a difficult job.
In fact, it is very simple. First of all, you must understand that it is very difficult to actually access facebook.twitter.youtube.telegram and bitcointalk in China. Most Chinese users cannot directly access or use it. Therefore, the bounty program designed by many teams does not actually have many Chinese users who can see or be interested in participating.
Secondly, due to national policies, any form of ICO and IEO promotion is banned in China, and many Chinese market personnel are unwilling to accept the promotion of such activities.
Finally, there is the ERC20 token project. There are too many similar projects now, but no valuable APP or related applications have been generated. Everyone is very disgusted.

Therefore, I suggest that if the project team wants to better develop the Chinese market, it should find effective ways that are suitable for Chinese users to understand the value of the project itself and adopt an effective bounty model (localization) such as using Chinese sites for activities https: //bountypr.com Organizing some activities suitable for Chinese users may be more suitable for project promotion.
For the ERC20 project, I think that more publicity in practical applications may be more suitable. Can carry out some knowledge quiz, mini-game activities, application of secondary development and other content promotion.
It is also important to note that not all Internet sites in China can be accessed directly. It is recommended that the project team check whether the test site can be accessed directly in China, which is more conducive to the promotion of the project.

If you have any questions, please leave a message and ask, maybe I can help.

I am not sure what it would be worth to have Chinese faucets disguised as games when you actually want to target your ads to rich Chinese people, not the ones that are living on faucets.
4195  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EarnBet.io - The First Player-Owned Casino 🎲Provably Fair 🎲BTC ₿ on: December 12, 2019, 05:02:31 AM
What advances moving to WAX gives to Earnbet over other platforms? I mean for obvious reasons i understand why they are not staying in EOS but i wasn't expecting WAX from all things.
4196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another flash crash day! on: December 12, 2019, 04:58:52 AM
Funny thing about it is that crash was apparently so hard to some trading bot algorithms that several altcoins took the hit on that very same moment including at least Dusk and Raven. Not as big of a crash but still noteworthy.
4197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason soon or not ? on: December 11, 2019, 09:53:22 AM
We are in the start of altseason currently imho, but it doesn't guarantee profits in altcoins, just more volatility on them. Some people got rekt on every altcoin season so far.
4198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lithuanian Bank Announced Launch of Digital Collector Coin on: December 11, 2019, 08:13:53 AM
I would love to see specs on that. A physical collectors coin based on what blockchain? I guess they just want to introduce the word blockchain to people and that's good i guess. I am guessing that old people are buying it because it's physical and contains the word blockchain that they always wanted to understand Smiley-
4199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New altcoins with low difficulty? on: December 11, 2019, 07:21:53 AM
Anyone knows which new altcoins I can mine that still have low difficulty? or where I can find lists of new fresh altcoins? Any help will be appreciated thanks

I am pretty sure that people in Mining (altcoins) are following this more closely then altcoin discussion and would have an insight on what to mine. Have you tried any of the altcoin difficulty charts on the net?
4200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Funcoin buys Dead blockchain coins! Market research stage. on: December 11, 2019, 07:02:39 AM
If its a dead blockchain how are they going to send the coins to them?

I guess that they have a broad spectrum on the term of "dead". But i don't think that they have thought this trough, this is just a futile effort to gain more community. Thing is that holders are not "community" yet. To have a community is to have active members.
