4181  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: VPN that accept Bitcoin as payment? on: July 31, 2019, 02:12:10 PM
I don't recall coming across a VPN that doesn't accept bitcoin. It also makes sense to have them supporting BTC, as VPNs are about privacy and security just like Bitcoin. You can check this list (TorGuard accepts LN as well If you're interested in experimenting with it).

Unfortunately, porotonvpn dont accept crypto but their service is really good. You can try to use it if crypto support isnt really important for you

Maybe not directly but it's possible.
4182  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto exchanges comparison [trade fee + listing fee + age + mobile app + more!] on: July 31, 2019, 09:37:19 AM
.-snip-
Anyways, what do you say about the usage of the sum of both the rankings divided by 2? For example, if Binance has an Alexa ranking of 752 and a SimilarWeb ranking of 958, we can just consider it to be (752+958)/2 = 855?

I still think that it's unnecessary to add such a ranking (as it's mostly based on traffic), even though the formula you're suggesting is pretty simple.
CoinEX exchange has been added to the comparison.

Moreover, I'm trying to keep a track of all the exchanges-related scam accusations in the following thread, so that I may include its column in the comparison:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5168200.0

Regarding this list, the thread is locked so how can users submit the scam accusations?
4183  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transactions stuck @ 14 Satoshis/vbyte | 0.00014 BTC/KvB on: July 30, 2019, 05:30:47 PM

earn.com was the first to offer this service, but it's far from being reliable now (overestimation). I've been using coinb.in for some time and I find it to be the most accurate.

4185  Economy / Services / OmegaStarScream's Avatar for rent on: July 30, 2019, 12:53:28 PM
My current deal with BountyPortal is over, so I can rent the avatar again (along with the personal text).

I'm usually making around 20-30 10-20 posts per week. You can see my other stats on BPIP.

I only accept BTC/ETH. I'm open to offers (weekly or monthly) and unless you're trusted, I would prefer being paid upfront.
4186  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: MultiCrypto Wallet | Android & Windows | BTC LTC ETH DOGE on: July 30, 2019, 12:04:23 PM
- Using free hosting on GitHub and the very bad design of your webpage just tell us how much you're not willing to invest in a proper hosting service or a developer.
- Not open source/transparent. APK also hosted directly on your website instead of Google play; could be infected with malware.
- Not having any fees on the transfer is probably to lure people to use your wallet, and probably means that users have no control over their private keys, and these are just 0's and 1's sitting in a database, just like in exchanges.

In short, there are multiple trusted multicoin wallets out there, and there is absolutly no reason to use this one.
4187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need some creative ideas! on: July 30, 2019, 08:37:51 AM
Wow, thanks a ton for the ideas! I just couldn't think of anything and now it seems kind of obvious... I knew these domains had potential, do you have any advice for starting a website like this? I have some experience in web development, but I figure you might have some idea on where to start in the crypto world?

If you want to build something that will generate profit for you, then hiring someone to do it for you in a professional way is best. You can find some developers in the Service section otherwise, you could seek some platforms like Upwork.

4188  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BE AWARE: BitPanda is helding my 3K eur and use stalling tactics! on: July 29, 2019, 03:06:21 PM
Personally, I wouldn't label them as a scam just because you haven't got an answer for two days because I've seen worst cases with other exchanges.

Both the support and the CEO account (according to his personal text) on the forums seem to be active (periodically), I suggest writing to them and also posting in their ANN thread. Make sure to explain the problem as much as possible while giving the ticket ID (If any) or email associated with your account.
4189  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: missing coins in exodus on: July 29, 2019, 11:13:37 AM
Exodus is not open-source/fully transparent, but they claim that sensitive data such as passwords, 12 words seed are never sent to their servers. Also, there have been no reports of people losing their funds mysteriously either.

You're saying that your funds have been lost... If the coins have been sent somewhere else, you should be able to see that in your transaction history/blockexplorer. If not, it could be just a display issue and in that case, I suggest you rescan your wallet (If the phone wallet support that) otherwise, try and restore your funds in the desktop version.

As for 2FA, you can read here why Exodus doesn't support it: https://medium.com/exodus-movement/why-local-apps-and-2fa-arent-friends-yet-9c220013dc11

It's also worth mentioning that phone and desktop wallets are never recommended for storing large amounts and that's what their response to you meant probably. A hardware wallet is something you should consider in the future.

4190  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What are the problemes of crypto currency exchanges? on: July 29, 2019, 10:18:29 AM
Unless there is a good KYC implementation, fully decentralized exchanges should and will never be allowed by governments due to AML reasons.

If done right, that shouldn't be a problem. Take Bisq as an example... no coins held by the developers, users have full control over private keys, no company headquarters, fully P2P and decentralized (no one in charge) and personally, in this case, I don't see how the government could pressure them to enforce KYC/AML.
4191  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What BTC Payment Processor to Implement in My Site ? on: July 28, 2019, 07:29:26 AM
-snip-
so how did you deployed BTCPay Server and can you explain to me what is https://docs.btcpayserver.org/deployment/thirdpartyhosting ?

These third-party services will run/deploy BTCPayServer on your behalf. You won't need to buy a hosting server or run bitcoin full node but you will clearly have some limitations as you can read on that article.

بعض الأفلام الوثائقية التي شاهدتها و أعجبتني (لا أعتقد أن أي منها مترجم للعربية):

- Bitcoin - Shape The future
- Bitcoin - The end of money as we know it
- Bitcoin in Uganda - Empowering People
- Living on Bitcoin for a week

4193  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How can I log in or contact Poloniex when I forget 2FA? on: July 27, 2019, 12:16:58 PM
I'm having the same problem as you. I've tried multiple browsers and devices (computer and phone) as suggested above and that didn't work either. What I found to work is changing my IP address, so you can try that (I've used ProtonVPN).

If that doesn't work, you can try these emails (not sure about their legitimacy).

It's worth mentioning that they'll only disable your 2FA If you manage to provide details about your account such as trading activities, balances, etc.
4194  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Listing of Guarda Wallet on: July 26, 2019, 05:26:49 PM
Here are the requirements. As explained, If you think you meet the requirements, you can open an issue and request being listed there.
4195  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Am I in a Scam? on: July 26, 2019, 04:12:09 PM
It's a Ponzi scheme that you should stay away from. Even If they start paying you at first, it's just a matter of time until they run with everyone's funds. If you truly want to invest, buy bitcoin and hold for the long term.
4196  Economy / Goods / [WTB] Apple Airpods on: July 26, 2019, 03:55:20 PM
Looking for brand new Apple Airpods with a discount. It's worth mentioning that I'm planning to use these with an Android device (Xiaomi). I could be wrong, but I think the latest model doesn't work with anything except for iOS so take that in consideration before offering.

4197  Economy / Services / Re: 💡FREE 💡▂▃▅▆█ BITCOIN TRANSACTION ACCELERATOR █▆▅▃▂ (Unconfirmed Transaction) on: July 26, 2019, 11:51:58 AM
How does it work exactly?

Probably pointless to use this service. He said "free methods" which sounds like a reference to ViaPool or services that rebroadcast your transaction for free, and that's something you can do in your own.
4198  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any good bot specially designed for trading margin? on: July 26, 2019, 10:42:49 AM
There is margin.se and Gunbot. Never used neither of them, but there is an endless number of pages of reviews and discussions about it.
4199  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Liquidating My Bitcoin on: July 26, 2019, 08:48:21 AM
After claiming your coins as explained above, simply use one of these reputable exchange platforms: Coinmama, BitPanda, Coinbase (depending on where you're from and the payment method you're going to use).
4200  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: July 26, 2019, 07:46:28 AM
am i understand wright?
I just need to be relatively active in the branches interesting to me and I will become jr. member by itself?

That used to be the case, but it's not anymore. You will have to gain 1 merit in order to rank up and being active is not enough, your posts/threads have to be constructive and helpful.
