I have to say, I really like that bid at GBTC that came this morning. 5,000 coins at 350 USD/BTC. About half the volume of BTC-e spike, but at the same time it's just their first bid...

You have to wonder how many is sitting on the fence waiting to see where the price will go when trading commences.
4182  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 28, 2015, 02:21:16 PM
You know what I wonder: with all these guys with all this money at stake, you'd think they would pay some anti-NLC types to defend the reputation of their investment. Why aren't there more everything is rainbows trolls?

because narrative must follow the price in order to be credible.

it would be stupid to talk about trains and rockets with price in 200 $ range, so now you have guys talking about "increasing buying power", "300 next week", "short squeeze" and shit like that.

once this place goes dead silent you will know we hit the bottom.

That was last week. I guess it's all up from here then. Loving the bullish new you.
4183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 28, 2015, 02:11:39 PM

If you wanna give me even moar coinz, go ahead. I'm patient and not over-leveraged. The lower it goes, the more buying power I have.

no, stupid fuck.

your buying power will be the same, you will just buy more coins.

My ability to buy coinz will increase, even if the amount of fiat I have to spend remains constant. I'm pretty sure you'll run out of coinz to sell before I run out of fiat, unless I get fired I suppose.
Chinese megaminers have plenty of coins to dump, don't worry about that  Grin

um, no. All miners everywhere have only 3600 coins/day to dump, excluding stockpiles. How much stockpiles are left after a 15 MONTH BEAR MARKET is unknown, but the number is surely much smaller than in the past. at $225/BTC, that's only $810,000 dollars bulls have to pony up to keep prices stable. At ~five million unique wallets, just over 16% of which have to contribute ONE DOLLAR A DAY TO HOLD THIS PRICE LEVEL. That may not happen, but are you willing to bet on it?

some Chinese electricity company must surely realise soon that accepting and holding bitcoin would be a ridiculously successful strategy. Or is that banned?

Yup, banned in dec 2013

Yes, cause that's what miners want to do: Destroy the value of Bitcoin.

I can see that only your ability to bullshit is increasing while prices are decreasing.

no actual use of it.

Since when are people so toxic when they make nice profits? You should be thanking him and the rest of us bulls for buying your coins when you opened your short, as we are thanking the bears for lower bitcoin prices.

Bears can enjoy their increased amount of fiat while bulls enjoy their increased number of bitcoins. See how the market works in harmony? Cheesy

why should I be thanking idiots for being idiots, even if I am making money on them?

it's not about me being toxic, but this worthless community.

Because you can't make money if no one buys the coins you're selling?

This is about you being toxic actually. If this community is worthless, why are you apart of it? Why do you have 2000+ posts? -- That's rather active engagement in something that's "worthless".

By your rage I'm actually thinking you took some serious losses and are pissed about it. Next time think twice about shorting so hard so you don't get burned in these small (but quick) run ups.

Edit: I only have 1800 posts, you are more active in this community than I am!! LOL. Good times.

And I repeat:

I gotta ask... Tarmi, palms already sweaty? If your phone is ringing, you know very well who it could be: Margin. Cheesy This rise doesn't even have to be organic, the mere fact that Finex and Huobi, et al. are following, is causing some nice short squeezes, that could end very ugly for a lot of people bears.

the mere fact that you poor fuckers cant see a shitstorm that is coming to you is what will make me rich.

How can you not be rich already after 2014?

All talk?

4186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 28, 2015, 10:41:49 AM
and what's this story about understanding what happened yesterday?

we can assume it was the stupidity of a bull (that's new  Grin). he was about to get margin called, needed more coins/$ to refinance his position and debt and voila - the best place to collect coins was btc-e.

now we can continue our downtrend, this merely postponed it for a day.

ie a bull bought a ton of coins

bullish!!

Thanks Tarmi! I knew you would come around!

I almost placed a 3x leveraged short at 229$, but was too lazy to press the margin sell button.
Thought I had time until tomorrow to reach 229$, but now I'll have to wait a bit and see how this situation develops.

scared

No, not scared, this was before the crazy BTC-E pump. I expected a small rise reaching about 230$ today, so at that time I had no reason to be scared.
If I wouldn't have been lazy (by delaying placing the short limit order for the next day), yes I would have been scared when seeing the crazy pump.
I still don't understand the BTC-E pump, need more time to see the follow-up, and am now waiting for a new low risk entry for my planned short.

Is BTC-E still a black hole when it comes to info or is there any chance we will get to know what happened?
4188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 28, 2015, 07:22:36 AM
Ok in the end I couldn't resist and I shorted more last night
Thank you BTC-E shenanigans for replenishing my shorts  Grin

Now partially closing to have a higher base, keeping the rest.

There could be another push up on btc-e...

Yup, they might have just been waiting for the order book to fill up.
4189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: April 27, 2015, 10:34:11 PM
Will the recent movements up to 269.5 on BTC-E do anything with these charts?
4190  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 27, 2015, 10:26:53 PM
The mere fact that we haven't seen Adam calling for the moon is bullish to me.
4191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 27, 2015, 10:23:38 PM
poor fuckers, I will make a ton of money on you.

You are not very pleasant, and no amount of money will fix that you camel humping douchette  Wink

between being kind and pleasant to idiots on bitcointalk and being rich in reality...I choose rich every fucking day.

I would too, but one has nothing to do with the other.

Possible front running of GBTC trading?

How would that work? I still don't see how one would bleed into the other?

This is as bad as it gets. Somebody is withdrawing from BTC-E in panic no matter how big his/their losses are. People are in piece with the major loss only when there is no other alternative. This means somebody knows something majority of us don't. My guess is that BTC-E is going down for one reason or another.

If the site goes "down for maintenance" it's pee your pants time
4199  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 27, 2015, 09:38:53 PM
If you were a large investor looking to trick the market I guess buying on BTC-e much like today will net you a lot of cheap coins on the other exchange for people who think BTC-e is going under.
That doesn't even look like a pump attempt.

It just looks like people that have money there want to get the hell out of the exchange like there is no tomorrow.

Looks like arb bots on other exchanges are turned off. BTC-E is running out of BTC. Only E left. Escape?
