I just researched it and found a piece of news saying that the new owner of Newcastle could buy Inter Milan for a few billion euros Roll Eyes

I don't know how far this is a rumor or fact, I don't know the reputation of this site either.
But would that really be possible?

This is the site I am referring to: https://today.in-24.com/sport/News/171487.html
I meant in the last season there was rumours circulating in social media about alternatives to Newcastle after the failure of the first purchase attempt. I am talking mainly about EPL clubs but when it comes to Inter, it was suggested also regarding their difficult economic situation especially before them winning the scudetto and selling Lukaku and Hakimi.

Before losing Ferran Torres due to an injury suffered during the Nation League final against France, Manchester City also had to lose Gabriel Jesus because he was still strengthening for Brazil in the Qatar World Cup qualifiers in the South American zone. The composition of Manchester City's players this season without a single striker after Aguero's contract was not extended and negotiations with Harry Kane were tough, until the January transfer window opened City continued to play without a pure striker.
Guardiola has to change his tactics now to adapt to the new sad facts.. He will count on Mahrez, Grealish, Foden (or Sterling) as forwarders tho in his 4-3-3. The absence of Torres and G.J will have an impact for sure but City can manage to pass this situation with the lowest damage imo.. Otherwise I agree about the useless competition called Nations League and the tight schedule for players that increases the risk of injuries..

It is expected that Newcastle United's Saudi owners will buy another major club in order to expand their empire. All the best to those who are competing with them! Do you think two clubs can be in the same league? Is it strange to hear that? Complete madness to me!
Didn't read this information in any news and I doubt Saudis will go for another club. When their first attempt to get Newcastle last season failed, they didn't search for alternatives AFAIK. Now their first focus will be to build the team from scratch, signing new, top coach and players. Spending and diverting money in more than 1 club isn't a good strategy imo.
4184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 14, 2021, 06:29:01 AM
This week we will look back at the leagues being carried out, including the French Ligue 1. In the first match we will see Paris Saint-Germain against Angers which will be held at the Parc des Princes Stadium, of course this will be a slightly difficult match for PSG, because Angers is in its best performance by placing fourth in the Ligue 1 standings.

Apart from the PSG vs Angers match, we will also see another exciting match between Lyon vs Monaco.

What are your predictions for these 2 matches?
The first game, I assume most people including me will support PSG, a draw is possible but less likely to happen.
The second game between Lyon and Monaco is harder to predict. Lyon is favourite in bookies but I find Monaco better right now. A draw is also possible. Monaco or draw maybe?

Yeah.. just noticed that Serbia has played one extra game. Sorry for that. But Portugal's next game is against the Republic of Ireland and the latter are capable of some big upsets. BTW, I don't understand why everyone is praising Luxembourg. They lost the game by 0-5 despite the fact that currently they are 3rd in the points table. Anyway, on 14th November we have the match between Portugal and Serbia. If the match ends in a draw or a win for Portugal, then they will finish at the top of the points table.
Luxembourg is just a normal team, nothing special, they won only vs Azerbaijan and Ireland which aren't top either. In Group A, Portugal and Serbia are fighting for the first place with a clear favourite of Portugal. Of course the last match between them will prove which team deserves it Wink

Have you heard that crazy Infantino proposes to hold the World Cup every two years? I wanted to create a separate thread about this, but I doubt how many people will be interested in this discussion.
If this change happens then I don't know when the players will have a rest. Most likely, this will lead to the opposite effect - competitions at the national team level will depreciate and clubs will be very reluctant to let players go to them.
I don't think creating a topic about this will be relevant since it is all suggestions that will be discussed later. They just shoot it out loud to see the reactions of clubs and players.. World Cup is interesting after all, 4 years are quite long but 2 are short, better to go for 3 years imo and rethink about the schedule of many competitions especially useless ones (Nations League for example)..

The Sheriff is an extraordinary team. All the players on the team are very hardworking. And through hard work they are now a team strong enough.
-snip-
It is very possible for the Sheriff to target a draw because playing at the opponent's home and facing with a strong enough team is not easy to win so a draw is already a good thing for them, but it is not impossible that they will continue the winning trend and get full points, even though Inter are strong team but in UCL they haven't shown good results, only being able to get 1 point from 2 matches. For Inter this is a chance to get 3 point.
What we used to think is the underdog of this group showed an exceptional performance and made surprises twice. I am not sure whether Sheriff will be able to win vs Inter but Inter doesn't seem to be convincing so far in CL. Ironically if Sheriff managed to win then lucky winners will multiply their money x14

This season for sure their target should be stay out of relegation zone. I think they are gonna sign some good staff and decent players to get the job done for Newcastle this season. I think major changes would go down from next season for Magpies.
Indeed they will try to stay safe and out of the relegation zone at any cost this year and they will start a big investment in the next transfer window imo. Newcastle last season did similar things, playing at the end of the table and doing some surprises vs bigger teams.
4189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 13, 2021, 06:24:35 AM
Look at Groups A, B and C. There is very tight competition for the first place. Biggest surprise is Group A, where Serbia is currently on top. But as things stand now, Portugal is the top ranking second placed team from all the groups. In Group B, Sweden is ahead of Spain. And the headache for Spain here is that they are now at the 4th position, as far as the second placed teams are concerned. Meanwhile in Group C, both Italy and Switzerland are tied with equal number of points (Italy slightly ahead thanks to better goal difference).
We have to compare teams playing the same number of games. In fact Serbia is temporarily holding the first place after 7 games while Portugal is the second after playing only 6 matches. Gap between these two and the other teams is very big!
For the group B, the first place will be hold by the winner of the last game between Spain and Sweden most likely. Same goes for Italy and Switzerland but for the next game between them.

For the game between Italy and Belgium we got one more confirmation, Chiesa is the beast and already an over 100m€ player.

Can Juventus keep him next year?
If Juventus don't look at the profit session this should be maintained for Chiesa but what if there is a higher offer maybe 150€ who will not be tempted by Juve while on the other hand Chiesa is already the best player and it looks like he will be with Juventus.

But Chiesa really helped Juve after losing the players Dybala and Morata to injury so Chiesa rode as someone who could be relied on after proving to be very impressive in the national team.
For €100m, Juventus will sell him and will sign another forwarder at the half price and there is several good ones in Serie A or count on another young talent if available. I don't see the point of keeping him while he can prove himself in another league and be imminent player for Italy.

Today is kinda a race which team will score more, Netherlands 6 goals, Germany and Iceland 4 goals each.. As I said before and you blamed me about criticising that some matches are training mode for big teams..
Norway scored 2 goals vs Montenegro, meanwhile Turkey scored a late goal just like Norway and managed to get 3 points! The stressful situation there is intense!
4192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: October 11, 2021, 05:49:56 PM
ATM even strengthened by getting Griezmann.
I wouldn't say Griezmann has greatly strengthened Atletico. On paper, yes, but he hasn't shown it yet. He is also already heavily criticized. I agree that Atletico is currently stronger than Barca and in my opinion also stronger than Real, but it is more due to the team and the coach, not individual stars.
I avoided to place a comment about this specific point of Griezmann strengthening ATM because I know if I said it, he might be the star of that game Tongue
Until now, Griezmann didn't show something special, just like Messi in PSG, you wait to see big achievement but you end up with disappointmen..
Overall, EPL teams are better than La Liga ones thanks to the power of money. Except Real Madrid, Barca ATM and Sevilla won't have easy time clearing the way to the finals imo. I feel it will be EPL teams vs Bayern and PSG.
4193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 11, 2021, 05:09:59 PM
I do this and I also I have this multibet:

Mozambique - Cameroon (I bet on Cameroon)

Egypt - Libya ( I bet on egypt, they are playing well salah has been very important for egypt )

Ghana - Zimbabwe ( I bet on Ghana )

I also multibet for argentina, brazil and chile victories I still think that argentina can harm me in this multi
Games outside of Europe are very random. I suppose you mean next Argentina game vs Peru? I will be surprised if I find them dropping points honestly. Brazil worried me with their draw vs Colombia and they will face Uruguay next..
Cameron won with 1 goal and I think also Egypt and Ghana to win too.

What Eric Garcia should've done according to the rule book.

https://twitter.com/TrollFootball/status/1447500347824427012?s=20
lol at the pic. As I pointed out in my previous post it is a controversial situation and it will sink much ink in media. Some old referees backed the decision of being a legit goal since Garcia touched the ball and others confirmed it should be counted offside.
Not sure what's wrong with soccer, can't they make a clear guide about different and possible situations? Even a couple of old referees can't agree on one thing?
4195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 11, 2021, 04:53:18 PM
those of you who are betting on the bundesliga games should take into consideration that vfb stuttgart now has 5 players (Waldemar Anton, Erik Thommy, Fabian Bredlow, Roberto Massimo and now also goalkeeper Florian Müller) who are sick with covid-19 and may not be available for play at the weekend in mönchengladbach

I already mentioned that this game will be Unpredictable but that sad news will make it easier to predict which team will win tho. I forgot how odds looked like days ago but now M'Gladbach @1.6 and Stuttgart @5.2, well big gap and hype for unstable M'Gladbach!
4196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 11, 2021, 04:47:05 PM
I think I have a clear idea of how this weekend games we turn out
Watford - Liverpool: 1-3
Aston villa - wolves: 2-1
Leicester - Manchester United: 1-1
Manchester City - Burnley: 3-0
Norwich - Brighton: 0-0
Southampton - Leeds: 2-1
Brentford - Chelsea: 2-2
Everton - Westham: 2-1
Newcastle - Tottenham: 1-3
You can put your money on my predictions
Liverpool to win ok, Watford to score, not sure. Aston Villa and Wolves game to have BTTS is logical. ManU to win imo vs Leicester and BTTS is very possible. City to win I agree vs Burnley with 2 goals difference at least. Chelsea to win imo. Everton and Southampton will have hard games both and everything could happen there. Spurs are untrustworthy although Newcastle is weaker. My 2 cents Wink

I loved the Karim Benzema goal. It was ecstatic
Indeed, that goal was really beautiful, not much chance for Simon to save the ball.

Mbappe goal - how it's not offside? Ok, there is VAR, but nn replay it looked more than ovbious.
It was because the Spanish defender touched the ball right before it got to Mbappé, so they didn't bother replaying.
Oh, that makes sense. Watched replay again and yeah, it's legit goal.
Benzema goal is the best one in this match, it requires a lot of talent and concentration although his team was 1 goal behind 2 minutes ago, I could say Benzema saved Deschamps this time Wink
I asked also whether Mbappe goal was legit. He was clearly in an offside position from that angle, the Spanish player touched the ball and modified its trajectory a bit then Mbappe continued the game and scored. I am not an expert but media will talk a lot about that imo.
Congratulations to France 1st position, it is well merited, congrats also to Spain for constructing a good team that might dominate the game in the future.

Some people say that PSG might have a difficulty in beating Angers next week considering Angers' recent form. But when we check the head-to-head matches, we see clearly that PSG are very highly dominant against them. PSG just won all the time against Angers no matter what. And they can do this again easily without caring about Angers' good form.
Angers is doing good so far with losing only 1 time in 9 games although facing some respectable opponents. They are sitting in the 4th place right now in the table. When it comes to odds, I think most will be perplexed after knowing that Angers are @10 while PSG odds are @1.27. Bookies are almost sure about Angers defeat, they even doubt it can manage a draw (Angers or draw @3.9)!

PSG sporting director Leonardo is still claiming that Kylian Mbappe won't leave the team in January or at the end of the season. He still believes that Mbappe will be signing a new contract with his team. And he says that Real Madrid should be punished for still chasing Mbappe to sign. This is really interesting I think. I don't know why Leonardo doesn't want to understand Mbappe's wishes and he still insists on that Mbappe will stay. One thing is for sure that Mbappe will have the last word. And then, PSG will have nothing to do about it.
Honestly that story should be postponed for the moment and restarted once the next transfer window starts! Every couple of days you hear something from Perez, PSG staff, Mbappe's father or mother, his friends... Just rumours.. And talking about PSG reaction to Real Madrid talk about recruiting Mbappe outside of the window, I find it normal. Mbappe is a professional player and he has a contract with PSG. Once the contract expires he will be free to go. Hearing distracting news every so on about him joining Real Madrid doesn't make sense right now.

Favourites for this game won actually, despite all of the possession from Belgium.
Italians defense was Superb although they had one at the back of there net.
They be doing pretty good, they deserve all three points from this game.
Indeed there was no surprise here and EURO champion made it through Belgium with 2 goals to 1 especially that Lukaku wasn't playing with his team due to muscle overload, same goes for Hazard.
Approximately 3 hours left to the final game with France being the favorite vs Spain!
