4181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: January 26, 2021, 03:48:35 PM
Wait what?! The Ben Askren that was on the receiving end of the fastest KO in the UFC history? An MMA fighter who specializes in wrestling is competing in a fist fight Grin Is this fight for charity? If yes, I'll support it. If not, I hope nobody buys tickets/PPVs.
LMAO, yes the same Ben Askren who has a lot of hype around him when he switch to UFC, who trash talk his way, but then Masvidal took out his soul in just 5 seconds.

https://www.mmafighting.com/2021/1/26/22250331/ben-askren-to-fight-jake-paul-in-pro-boxing-bout-on-april-17

It's say "pro-boxing", so I don't know if that means charity fight. In any case, yeah, just another hype fight all for the money.
4182  Economy / Exchanges / Re: DEPOSITING times on exchnages... on: January 26, 2021, 11:38:31 AM
Most like it was an issue with your bank, you have to check with them, as they might not support depositing to exchanges. Usually though it take 3-5 business days to processed your transaction from a bank, so I guess you have to wait.

If nothing happens after a week then definitely go to the bank and ask. Best of luck!
4183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 25, 2021, 02:22:00 PM
On Instagram Ryan Garcia is claiming that he will be Manny Pacquiao's next opponent. I don't know if this is true or not. Pacquiao makes so many agreements that you can never be 100% certain of who he will fight next until there is a contract signed and a venue is booked. Ryan is probably not the best possible opponent but it is the fight that will make the most money out of all his current options.
The world is Garcia's oyster after his win with Campbell, and I just checked, it seems that the deal to fight Pacquiao was already hinted by Garcia himself in his Instagram post. I thought he wanted a shot with Gervonta Davis, he even challenged him and many seem to favor that Garcia should be on the ring with Davis. This is a good revenge story because Pacquiao made Garcia's promoter De La Hoya, let's see if a Young Cub could take on a Battle Hardened Lion. Regarding McGregor, I think that with his current defeat against Poirier, considering some matches in boxing should not be his priority, he needs the time to recuperate.
I agree, what happen to the Davis fight, the two have been fighting it out on the media after Garcia won against Campbell and Davis himself said as well that he is willing to fight Garcia. So now he is chasing the legendary Pacquiao for the money? There is no story line there, there is no revenge fight for Garcia vs Pacquaio just because he made Dela Hoya quit. If there is a revenge fight then he should chase after Canelo for leaving him with Oscar.

4185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [CHALLENGE] Can I go from $100 to $80000 in 2021 (+80000% Growth) ?! 😲 on: January 25, 2021, 11:44:48 AM
Hi! I just want to let you all know that my next video is a bit delayed unfortunately. This project was a bit more time consuming than I first thought. But an update is coming soon. Stay tuned!
I thought you already gave up with your project, no worries though, of course there are a lot of roadblocks and it's really time consuming and not that easy to create a content video specially that bitcoin has of late has been in the downward trend.

Willing to wait and see how it goes for you, again it will not work as much as we like and there are challenges to face, specially if coming comes up IRL.

And also this one:

https://openbazaar.org/

It's p2p, however, the thing is that it doesn't get so much attention from crypto enthusiast at this point that's why I would say that adoption is slower with this p2p online stores like openbazaar ang newegg.

I also remember a project name https://junktion.io/, its supposedly the ebay of crypto, but I don't know, again it didn't get the needed hype from crypto enthusiast.

4188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New ATH, New ATH, New ATH on: January 24, 2021, 10:16:58 PM
Not in next 3 years, next ATH will happen sooner than that. In fact it is just few months away. BTC has attracted institutional attention and now price increase will happen in big slabs.
Like $10k price up within a week.
The institutional investment in bitcoin started a long time ago and it is nothing new, there might be more reports coming out regarding their investment now than ever before and these institutional investors are advertising about their investing to the public through social media as well and for people like me i would think why would they do that, will they advertise when they will book their profit as well Tongue.
Well there are institutional investment firms that usually released a quarterly or monthly report so I guess that's the time we will know if they have sold their reserve assets on bitcoin or not. But majority I think won't reveal their holdings on the first place  so obviously we wont' here then selling and booking their profits as well.

In any case, a new all time high will again be breach, just a matter of time. Of course we are glad to see another high at around $50k or more in the next 3 months.
4189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 24, 2021, 01:36:20 PM
Finally the nets won a game after two losing streak.

Durant got 31 points, Harden 12 points with 11 assists, and Irving had 28 points.

However, I'm not impressed with this win as they did not really dominate a shorthanded Miami heat, they only won by 4 points, how much more if they'll face a complete team like the Lakers, Clippers or the Jazz?
Joe Harris did score,  23 points to contribute to the Big 3.  Other than that, Jeff Green with 11 points, so still majority of the load comes from the Durant, Irving and Harden. And still this is a bad sign for the Nets though, they need someone other than the Big 3 to contribute.

And I agree that if they face a tough opponents, they maybe in the third game losing streak by now.
4190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Celebrity Rapper "Soulja Boy" tries to buy XRP on Coinbase, but guess what? on: January 23, 2021, 11:59:02 PM
Lol, it's pretty obvious that he didn't know what's going on XRP right now, all US based crypto trading exchanges have suspending their withdrawal/deposit on XRP because of the recent lawsuit filed by US SEC to XRP.

So I don't know what he is trying to accomplished here, except being dumb as f**k. Or he is another case of celebrity involving themselves in crypto because of the recent hype, but oh boy, not XRP.  Grin, epic fail!!!
4191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 23, 2021, 11:38:16 PM
I was surprised when I first saw the odds and the bet made available already.
IMO, I think Anthony Joshua is underrated in the odds provided by the bookers may be because of his new fighting style ever since he learns from his loss to Ruiz or there's something more to it

In fact, this is nothing new - he is not a favorite and the skew of the odds is always in favor of the favorite. If you think that the bookmakers made a mistake in setting the odds, then it makes sense to bet on AJ. Personally, in my opinion, the bookmakers were not mistaken, the usual odds in the favorite-challenger pair.
Yes, there is no surprising from the odds makers, Anthony Joshua should be the underdog in this fight. They are basing the odds based on their last fight, so obviously, Fury coming from a big and impressive win against Wilder. While AJ was extended by Ruiz in their rematch, although he won it.

And if you read the comments of boxing fans and gamblers here, they favor Fury.
4192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I lost all tokens deposited in exchange on: January 23, 2021, 11:09:44 PM
Is there anyone here using Idex in trading?
I kept a lot of tokens in this exchange. There happens to be this migration from idex market to idex1.0.
When I check my account, it has zero balance. Anyone here had experience the same, Is there a way to retieve?
No user of Idex here. But upon looking at the migration schedule, it has started on October 20, so three months ago. So it seems that you are already late. Or if you have migrated already, did you check it upon migration?

Quote
The migration will occur at specific times on October 20th as indicated in the following schedule.

00:00 UTC - IDEX 1.0 trading is disabled

~02:00 UTC - IDEX 2.0 goes live at idex.io; users can migrate their accounts and place orders in post-only mode

15:00 UTC - IDEX 2.0 trading is enabled

https://blog.idex.io/all-posts/getting-ready-for-idex-20

And if you follow the intructions on how to migrate to IDEX 2.0 but you still can't see your tokens they you have to reach out to them and seek help.
4193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can hit $50k? on: January 23, 2021, 10:41:16 PM
Bitcoin prices can hit up to $ 50K. But not anytime soon. Maybe after we cross the bear market and the price will bounce back up. and will likely exceed 50K. I don't know when that happened. But for sure Bitcoin will continue to increase in value as time goes by and more and more large companies are adopting bitcoin.

Despite the relatively large correction, the formal bear market has not yet started. Consolidation may well take place now and growth may continue after a while. To speak of a bear market, we must be in a downward phase for much more than a couple of weeks.

We are not in the bear market yet, and I agree that we are still in the period of consolidation up to the end of the month. I'm not expecting any sudden upward trend, just the usual trading sideways again. We have seen this in the past, just recently this is the bitcoin prior to the super fast rally leading up to $41k.

Is that pattern repeats itself in February, $41k can be surpassed again and set a new all time high at $50k. So it is still doable, but it's going to start next month.
4194  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Is Nano Ledger S still safe after the data breach? on: January 23, 2021, 10:21:57 PM
As others mentioned, what was leaked was your name and physical address and email address.

They can't used that info to access your private key, they have to physically have your devices to do that.

As a Nano user, yes, I got the phishing email, but I just ignore it, the problem is that there are Nano users who didn't check the email's authenticity first, that's why they become a victim.
4195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: January 2021 — share your gambling experiences on: January 22, 2021, 11:51:01 PM
Oh well, I wanted to at least control my gambling this 2021, however, in the last 12 hours, I was bored and feel like gambling so I deposited around $50 to a gambling site and turn it into $80 so that's a good start for me. It went as high as $85 then completely stop at $80.

So I'm going to play again in the next 6 hours and see how my luck is. Hopefully I can double that money in my favorite slot games.  Smiley
4196  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Cherry Burst at $41,515 Jan 8,2021 on: January 22, 2021, 11:36:39 PM
We haven't started the bull run in 2021 so I don't think that we are going to wait for 4-5 years because obviously $41k is not the ceiling price of bitcoin this year. If history are going to repeat itself, you have to look at the start of 2017 and then the eventual bull run in the end. <$1k at the beginning and finished it's cycle at almost $20k.

Although this is not going to happen as bitcoin exponential growth is going to slow down, but a $100k price is doable this year. So no we are not going to wait for another 4-5 year to see the price goes in a massive rally again. Bitcoin's narrative has change as well if you are not aware of.

https://twitter.com/AcolyteCrypto/status/1352644092472115202?s=19
Just have came across this tweet. Can anyone tell me this is true or just a rumor made by group of people to hype some coin? I can see some shit token is there which makes no sense to be there at all. Can anyone?
I don't trust that twitter account to be honest, so I won't give any credibility to that. For sure Grayscale is a very intelligent trust fund and wouldn't just invest on such shitcoin. This tweet is probably to shill for one of those shitcoin in the list.

But thanks for this post, at least we know that someone out there are still creating a lot of fake and unsubstantiated post to create hype, very scammy and fraudulent practice here in crypto space.

4199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 22, 2021, 10:25:07 PM
I also heard about this the other day and thought that at this point, Pacquiao is doing this for the money and not for honor and anything of that sort. He has mentioned a lot of ‘retirement fights’ for the last decade and I can’t see when will the dude actually stop. He can still square with a lot of ‘em and it’s unbelievable how fit and ready he can still be if a potential fight is around the corner. McGregor will surely put up a fight, though in the end this will be a Pacquiao win given the huge gap in experience and technique in the sport alone.

McGreggor if will be aggressive, this fight might end in round 1. I think McGreggor respect the power of Paquiao than Mayweather as looking at Paquiao's resume, one can already tell how beast he is when in the ring, however, since Paquiao has already matured in this sports and he knows what fans are looking, he might not easily KO McGreggor but will make sure he is in control of the fight.
For sure Pacquaio are also going to entertain the crowd so he won't go with the KO early. He will just toy around and let Conor hit him in the corner and let the crowd cheer for that. Yes, we can say that Pacquiao is doing this for the money, and so everyone does as well.

Same with Conor as well, he is the best entertainer in MMA and Pacquiao is still the cash cow and his name is still relevant in boxing and fans are willing to buy tickets for his next fight.
