I don't know why my mind kept going back to that game. Well, I think it simply proves one thing again — The Internet Never Forgets!

4182  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are some good crypto trading apps on Android? on: July 08, 2021, 06:50:04 PM
Trading on phones or mobile devices are bad. If you want to have good trades, less mistakes, better security, use one desktop or laptop for your trades.
That's true, I already tried trading in mobile phone and it really seems so uncomfortable for me, if you really want a good view while trading then you have to follow his advise, it is really necessary to observe well the market and it would be hard for you if you are only using a mobile phone and besides using mobiles phones have only limited features.
This is true, admittedly. However, it doesn't completely confer perfection on the use of laptop and desktop like @OcTradism opined there. I know of profitable traders who use mobile phones and unprofitable traders who use laptops. Yes, I agree that phones don't have the same options when it comes to features that laptops/desktops can afford us. But the features the mobile phones have are those which are most relevant for what it's intended for. Again, let us also consider that a lot of traders are inhibited by finance and may not be able to afford a laptop and that's why they resort to using mobile phones.
4183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why more women to trade crypto? on: July 08, 2021, 02:41:04 PM
I don't know why some people are struggling very hard to make sexism out of the crypto industry. Is there anything that separates people's mental ability from the other? Well, none that I know of. Once a job doesn't involve lifting heavy stuff physically, I don't think there should be any segmentation or segregation based on gender. If we want to go that way, I don't see how it improves the industry or we as a community. Therefore, people should be allowed to pick what interests them.

How the Bitcoin journey began for me

I came into cryptocurrency through a stroke of luck in December 2016 at a time I was struggling with my offline business and that was through a radio broadcast I was listening to. It was a cross state radio station and some guys where canvassing participants to their upcoming seminar on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Curiosity got the better of me when I heard what the price of a Bitcoin compared to dollar was during that broadcast. I thought what they said about the price was just a gimmick to get people hooked. Again, I didn't want to pay to attend one of those empty motivational classes. So, I googled Bitcoin and one of those searches took me to the coinmarket site (CMC) and this forum. Immediately I read a few posts here I knew I was unto something good so I waited till my birthday on Jan 9th to get registered on this forum as a birthday gift to myself. Date of registration bears my birthday. No regrets doing that.

Provide links for what you consider to be your three best posts.

Will Binance shake this off as a phoenix just like Bitcoin! Will BNB not tumble tomorrow?

4186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is point of Tehnical analysis? on: July 06, 2021, 07:41:49 PM
I have been trading since last 2-3 years and I have been a bad trader in the beginning. I had lost more money due to my lack of trading knowledge.
Good a thing you identified your area of lack and didn't blame it on anyone or system. You tackling it headlong is a sure way to redefining your ability and strategy. Thumbs up for that.

Recently I learned more about technical analysis and started practicing. At first I was losing money but as I learned more I started hitting my target prices.
In the last 4 trades one trade hit a stop loss and the other 3 gave out profits to me although the amount was very low.
But as soon as I get more confident I will start trading with more money. Technical analysis has helped me analyse the market better.
That's the way to go! Learning. Trading has to involve news and technical analysis. Anything outside these two is pure gambling and not trading. I have a friend who trades on instinct. He has been lucky so far but I know it won't end well on the long run. Trading on instinct without the compass of TA is dangerous and not advisable. Just keep on with what you're doing and on the long run you will be better and more profitable.
4187  Economy / Services / Re: [Service] Binance Future Signals by CF (worth 1800$) on: July 06, 2021, 02:04:34 PM
It is possible to fake evidences, but "unfair"? xD I provide anything that you would like (+ his free channel, which there you can check trading history by yourself).
What evidence do you think you can fake and pull the wool on members here? Look, there are experienced traders here who can spot a lie miles away. If you're so keen on marketing signals here you should've simply used your main account (I have a hunch you've an older account here) instead of hiding under a newbie account in what's an obvious attempt to deceive. Again, since the CF you talked about is a paid service, nothing stops you from putting out the telegram link here in public instead of asking members to pm you for it. That smells suspicious too.
4188  Other / Politics & Society / Re: First criminal charges to be filed against Trump Organization on: July 06, 2021, 12:21:10 PM
After a lifetime of observation I have gathered that normally the US doesn't prosecute its former presidents for anything after they leave office. First of all, its not nice; second of all, its not a good look for a country's government in general.

I'm wondering if Trump will be the exception to this rule as he did a lot of either blatantly illegal or at best highly questionable things as president...
Frankly, I was wondering when the ex-president, Donald Trump, was going to be called out by the court for some of his misdoings. The one that stuck out like a sore thumb was the post electoral riot where he urged his supporters to match to the Capitol to help reclaim his supposedly stolen mandate. It was horrible. I never saw a thing like that with the US. It was chaotic as there was an ongoing sitting by Congress at the time at the legislative chambers. Such isn't done in sane societies. We also remember that the election which brought Trump in as president was also said to have been fraught with irregularities the same way the one that saw him out. I hope he answers for it by the court. The US isn't Africa where elected officials assume they're superior to the electorate who got them into power and could behave how it pleases them.

BTW, una even sure say those two dudes be naija peeps sef? Shey dem even follow owa protocol to introduce demselves first? Haaba! Peeps go just follow back door enta here like peeping spirits.
In my opinion, introducing oneselves should be optional because of privacy reasons, waiting people to dey respect most na user's privacy, the introduction should be considered optional and no necessary at all. I just dey remembered the first Naija I met on this forum, na me even pm him, na the person that introduced me to this local thread, but e never tell me about him saying because of anonymity, we dey WhatsApp well well now, but e never introduced himself for here, so e no mean at all, we should respect privacy. If someone na Nigerian, you can tell from his post, be it English, Pidgin or any other local language.
Well, I nor see how a simple introduction wey follow dat format laid out here by OP go expose persin privacy reach wen dem engage in WhatsApp. If I tell you sey I dey Lasgidi and I be civil servant without us exchanging phone numbas my privacy is still intact. But if we exchange numbas, a part of my privacy is exposed. Nor be so? Because na thrue phone numbas WhatsApp dey take work na. If you dey crave privacy, na telegram handle or email you for exchange with dat persin. E dey dat simple.

I don't know why una want to make this place something else, u just come and the first thing na so so mumu business for page wey we dey build
My dear, nor time to check time. Once mumu posts like dat show, make OP delete am at once. No need for response to it. BTW, una even sure say those two dudes be naija peeps sef? Shey dem even follow owa protocol to introduce demselves first? Haaba! Peeps go just follow back door enta here like peeping spirits.
4192  Economy / Reputation / Re: Celebration of 4 years forum membership and advices. on: July 04, 2021, 08:41:02 PM
How this thread escaped me till now beggars disbelief!

To say the least Brainboss, you're a great asset to the Nigeria community. Not just here in the forum but in your place of abode. I followed how you helped indigent families during the onslaught of Covid19 last year. It was a marvel that such a young man like you could do what most of the Nigerian politicians failed to do even with resources available to them.

Thank you for being here. Again, thank you for keeping a cool head despite what you've achieved here.
4193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should we do in the sideways market of Bitcoin? on: July 04, 2021, 04:09:03 PM
Sideways market is the best trend to trade. It's called a ranging market. All one has to do during a sideways market is to identify the range the market is trading and then begin to do a support and resistance thing with it. Buy when it hits support and then sell once it hits resistance. Notably, Bitcoin has been in a range for the 7th week running now since May 19, 2021 between prices of $30,718 and $40,920. Until Bitcoin gets out of that range, can we consider whether an uptrend or downtrend has begun.
4194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you run when you fail or loose in a trade? on: July 04, 2021, 12:59:31 PM
No, i never do that, whenever i failed or will in loss I tried to wait for it because patience is very important in any business. So, I like to wait for it and then it gave me much profit as I was not even thought. So, Waiting and keep patience is the only thing that will give you benefit.
That's the spirit and right way to go about it. Patience is virtue when it comes to trading — all forms of trading. Wait, and if your trading plan is right you will get the benefit of your trades.

I’m more of a long-term holder than a day trader. However, most of the coins and tokens I’ve invested are at a loss (especially shitcoins).
There's no point taking the risk of investing in shitcoins. It's a gamble to do that. Forget the hype (which normally follows shitcoins), concentrate on usecase when picking a token. Shitcoins will always be shitcoins.

4196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying other cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin? on: July 03, 2021, 04:22:08 PM
I couldn't afford to buy 1btc so I didn't buy any...
That was a big mistake you made. You should've bought the much your finances could've afforded you. You would've been on a double profit at the current price if you actually bought at $15k.

So my question is this which is more important factor to consider before buying a coin, do you buy because of the technology of the project and what it has to offer, the utility of the token or the news?
It's best to buy on the technology and usecase the token has to offer. In fact, that's the only option there should be. News is hype and may not last long to sustain a project. It's crowd mentality, don't go that way. Always consider the programme and functionality of the token you want to buy. Doing that will make you not be in panic whenever its price crashes.
4197  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hunting to occupy a political position. on: July 03, 2021, 09:07:08 AM
Snip
But communism will leads to dictatorship at some point, Chinese government is caring about the welfare of the people definitely not they just want to get more powers so they are ready to sacrifice their people's life.
If you think communism could lead to dictatorship, then tell me the model of democracy that's practised in Africa where elected office holders act larger than life without questioning. Where presidents are above the constitution and with flagrant disregard for the court. I pray thee, tell. A dictatorship is better than what is experienced in most Africa countries even with their mouthed claim of running a democracy.

The North Korea is just an example for this where people are dying but the leader is living like a king.
North Korea is an aberration of what decency should be, whether in dictatorship or civil rule. So, a mention of it beggars shock.
4198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some BSC influencers you follow for price signals? on: July 03, 2021, 05:35:05 AM
What most of the so-called crypto influencers do is pump and dump. They buy the tokens before making a call for it. And because they've a huge following, the token is going to surge once their fans key in and buy. It's not because the tokens they've called is great but because of the buying action of their fans that will make the token rise in price. Once they get a nice ROI on their calls, they exit the trade. It's a trick and that's one reason I don't follow them. It's nice feeling though if I have a token already and they make a call on it like what Bitboy did a few days ago with Cartesi. It gave a nice rise and I took profit to rebuy at a dip. Definitely, there's always a dip whenever there's such instant rise like that.
4199  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 03, 2021, 03:22:48 AM

I just love that retort. It's obvious the dude was referring to Elon's manipulative calls on crypto.
4200  Other / Archival / Re: [GUIDE] Who are Professional Traders? on: July 02, 2021, 12:04:54 PM
Sorry for my english. Roll Eyes
Your English is okay 😏, and the points made there apt. The points in the difference between them reminds me of myself as a retail trader and that's true.

What's the point of you posting this guide on the forum?
What's the benefit for the newbies,if they learn about the difference between retail and professional traders?
There is a lot of benefits for newbies if they mean to read through it and memorize them. Remember, that knowledge is potential power. Until one activates it, the knowledge lies in waste. You might've known all that the OP has said long before now but that doesn't mean others already known them. So, I guess OP is talking to that set who are ready to listen and learn.
