4181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 17, 2020, 11:41:40 AM
I believe there is a spirit that always keep on controlling an addicted gambler they always a feelings of winning big someday which never happen, I have seen soccer gambler whose accumulated odds was 200.0 or above  (i.e more than 20 matches odds) having the impression that once those bets are won that amount to millions despite the fact the chances of winning those kind of bet is very slim.
A way out of this kind of habit is counseling your friend, you should extend a helping hand to him by outlining the pros and cons of gambling addict
the disadvantages outweigh it advantages or he should limit his gambling habits to the minimum.
4182  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Virtual trading before actual one - pros and cons on: September 16, 2020, 02:29:25 PM
But we must lose first before we really appreciate the real trading, better use small amount to try trading and learn from
 our own mistakes and experiences.

I will add that we have to lose our deposit several times to understand trading. You can't learn how to trade on a demo account, because there is no risk of losing real money. Therefore, trading on a demo account is more like a casino, when you put the entire deposit in the hope of getting a big profit.
I think its not to learn anything about profit making, its just for the purpose of identifying how these things works, once they know about trading then they can make or learn about profit making strategies which needs real money so they can feel the real pressure while making trading decisions.
In addition to your comment demoing also help a trader to perfect a trading strategy this would also enable the trader to test the water very well before going live, I have read touching stories of traders who went live and got rekt its a known fact that 95% of forex traders lost their funds or portfoliothis are mostly newbies who had not practice well before going live, I also agreed to the fact that testing with a small amount is also advisable this will enable the trader to test emotion and fear associated to trading as a newbie trader.
4183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another DeFi exit scam on: September 16, 2020, 10:30:15 AM
This scammers really do took advantage on this DeFi hype some of the biggest scammers are just really waiting for this kind of opportunity i guess there will be more reports about DeFi scams and soon people who doesn't have enough knowledge about cryptocurrency will mistakenly accuse the DeFi in general as a Scam but in reality they are good project if it is a good and legitimate team.
usually things like this will continue to happen, where there is a new system then everyone is competing to participate which is clear that behind it there is a purpose to cheat, because this method continues and is always used but there are still many who are also deceived. not sure whether this defi system is a scam because only a few have stated it, but with time it will be seen whether this statement is true or not, we are waiting.
This kind of stories brings bad reputation to cryptocurrency, a lot of investors had been warned to beware of the current Hyping of De-Fi projects and stay clear of it.
I read it here were a member of this forum said he had been making profits consistently on this so-called project, It just another ICOs in making which had trended in the past were a lot of investors lost their hard earned money having scammed when those project managers went into thin air with investors funds.
Of course this is not regulator obviously the story of exim scam of De-Fi will continue unchecked.
4184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing your Crypto in Exchanges is better than using Cold Wallets! on: September 16, 2020, 08:55:21 AM
Instead of debating which is better, it would be better if you will just put your Bitcoin in your Cold Wallet and at the same time put it in exchanges.

I can say that holding your Bitcoin in an exchange is better in terms of profitability but in terms of security, they are the worst as we saw many exchanges getting hacked overtime. Binance, Bithumb, Cryptopia in the past and I know that more and more hacks will come in the future.

No need to explain in Cold wallets since we knew it as one of the safest wallets we have right now but if you want your Bitcoins to have some profits then maybe you can risk it by putting and holding in an exchange.
I will prefers the security feature of hodling my bitcoin to profitability feature of it, huge amount of coins were lost in those hacked exchanges the past years, Cold wallets safety is uncompromising and safe then why risking a huge amount of coin for a paltry interest? knowingly that any trader or investor fund in any exchange is at his or her own risk then why not keep it in where the hodler wouldn't worry about any hack,
4185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if "De-Fi" platforms become regulated in the future? on: September 15, 2020, 08:30:34 PM
Just like the ICO boom of 2017, the "De-Fi" space seems to be heading towards an ever-rising hype cycle. It shouldn't be long enough before scams start "kicking in", making governments regulate the space in their entirety. If they impose heavy-handed regulations like they did in ICO's early days, "De-Fi" might no longer be the same.  Imagine developers being held liable for creating and launching a "De-Fi" platform on the Blockchain. The growth of the industry will stifle because of fierce regulations from mainstream governments. After what happened with ICOs, new denominations have emerged (namely STOs and IEOs). These new kind of ICOs have built-in mechanisms to comply with government's regulations such as seizure of assets and more. Something similar might happen with "De-Fi" if governments decide to start cracking down on the entire industry.

What do you think the outcome of "De-Fi" regulation will be? Will governments be successful at the task like they did with ICOs? Or not? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley
I do not think that DeFi projects are going to be regulated atleast anytime soon.
The defi trend although is booming and is under the limelight at the moment but still due to the decentralized model it can escape regulation like most decentralized operations and platforms escape.
No it wont no matter we like it or not theres no such thing about on not getting any regulation intervention in the future. You know that if government likes to do so then they would force it up and when they found out for something that cant really be handled out then thats the time they would make out negative inputs towards it for people to hate and wont
consider as an option.DeFi is indeed getting hyped at the moment but just like what on said above is on where if things being hyped and do able to reach a certain
level that caught on governments interest then expect for intervention.
It is left to the investors of De-Fi projects to decide whether to invest in it or not even though it is not regulated,  investors knows the implications of investing in these kind of projects just as they did in the yesteryear of ICOs when ICOs was also hyped to lure many investors into it unfortunately many later became scam project.
For now these projects look credible while some investors had been attesting to making money from it and not bothering about any government regulations well if regulated in the future it will be a welcome development however for now investors are riding on its growing trend to make money.
4186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: September 15, 2020, 07:42:09 AM
This type of betting is not profitable on a long term basis having a series of losing streaks will wipe out your funds, forget about the fact that small odds has the chances of winning a bet or safe bet, there is no any proven record to back up those claims except you are well versed in a particular sport.
A thorough Analysis of a particular Sport or League is the best bet of winning consistently eg using EPL as an example teams like Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Man utd and Arsenal are teams with a strong squad in EPL will definitely have lower odd however the chances of winning a bet on them is brighter than betting on unfamiliar teams with low odds.
4187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking NEWS: SEC, Bitcoin now legal (a security) in Nigeria. on: September 15, 2020, 06:08:30 AM
I watched the cheering news on channelTV yesterday this is indeed a major breakthrough for cryptocurrencies users in Nigeria and they can now have a sign of relief, Regulation of cryptos by SEC is much preferable than outright ban embarked upon by CBN fews years back.
This came at time when there had been an increasing growing numbers of legal bitcoin traders amount the youths which is prominent in the popular forum nairaland and availability of a bitcoin ATM machine in Lagos indicates an increasing number and wider acceptability of cryptos in Nigeria.

4188  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: September 14, 2020, 01:20:04 PM
World is facing a new crisis almost last 6 months+ and who knows how much it will remain. For this pandemic outbreaks, economy is getting down in many countries. It's getting cursed for one sector based economy.

Explain your country's economy here by mentioning the sector which is getting down day by day for this pandemic.

Here in our country Philippines, almost all sectors are affected I also have many relatives who are affected in the industries where they are working  due to the limitation  imposed by the government some of it are transportation where only 50% can be boarded as well as restaurants where only half can accommodate, so what is happening workers can only work alternately and their income is not enough to sustain their family
Jobless also is on an all-time high, only relying on government subsidy.
Not only in the Philippines experiencing economic crisis but actually, it's global. This pandemic has brought to people becomes jobless, since most business is close. The government is looking for ways to have a debt to support the needs of every family. So hope there’s a vaccine comes out so we can go back to our normal situation.
Yes, it looks like the economic crisis caused by this pandemic has gone global, even though there are countries that are not yet severe, but it will get worse if the state government does not immediately handle it.
as in the country I live in, the increasing number of infected people and stricter government regulations make it difficult to earn income due to limited time outside the home and other regulations.
My country is not left out in this pandemic many jobs, hotels, industries, companies, airlines etc had been closed down due to low patronage there is nothing the government can do about it, this is a serious global economic crisis I hope a lasting solution to this pandemic is found early.
Although some countries had started opening up their airports to allow foreigners in thus to boast tourism and foreign exchange.
Many income earners who lost their jobs will rather stay in their respective countries to minimize cost of spending on tourism and other non essential jamborees.
4189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: September 14, 2020, 09:46:56 AM
i don't think Tottenham can easily beat Everton .  Don't forget that Everton is not too much bad team . The team is much stable . i hope the match will be draw by 1-1 . Lets see what will happen.

Everton won the game. I watched it from second half but didn't saw any strong attacks or movements from Spurs. James Rodriguez was playing really well with switching plays and executing long passes so well. Really a good play on his debut. Richarlison had some chances but missed not by much on most occasions. Spurs need to up their game a lot.

I was very busy and not watching the match. Why do you think they lost? And me with them.  Tottenham won the previous four and  the great hope was   they would continue their winning run. Rotten luck or something I don’t know?

it was definitely not rotten luck, Everton was good in their first match this season, and had more chances and better options in the match than Tottenham

must say that i did not expected it as well, but this could be a good season for Toffees, if they continue to play like yesterday and Tottenham had few great seasons, last was an announcement that their great period finished, and this match said that mediocre seasons could continue for Tottenham

I watched the whole match closely . Because Everton has really played a lot better than Tottenham .I personally don't support either of these two teams . But Everton's game has fascinated me . Tottenham played very well in the previous season. But i think Everton will be ahead of Tottenham this season. Because the team is stable and every player tries to give their best afford from their own position .
Everton manager Ancelloti made some good signings  I wasn't surprise with their performance against Tottenham they deserve to win the match and they are one of the few team to watch out for in EPL this season with Leed united,  everton will definitely perform better than tottenham once their new signings plays together for some period of time and the team being cohesive as well as adapting well to the league thus they gonna give the top teams a run of their money.
4190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEFI begin new trending or end soon? on: September 14, 2020, 09:05:00 AM
Hello everyone!
At this moment, i think Defi is a hot word. Do you think this is beginning a new trend or will be end soon?.
I am a trader, but i have earn a lot of money from Defi coin by ICO, i do not  think Defi trend can go long time.
In as much as you are making a lot of money on the trending Defi ensure that you invest with the amount of money you can afford to lose it is advisable to trade with the trend but nobody knows when the trending and hyping of Defis will end and don't  worry whether the trend will last for long trade wisely take your profit at the appropriate time.
4191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Campaigns in the Altcoin section to join. Dont waste your time with others on: September 13, 2020, 05:07:25 PM

IQ cash is one of the worst campaigns I have seen. Many people participated in the 1st and 2nd round of the campaign, but they only received $ 3-5 for 2 months of work. And for this campaign, it is even less than before because the price has dropped a lot
I'm one of their participants and was shocked to see bounty hunter's rewards $2 to $8 for two to three months work, glad that I get out here for another campaign this shit project will soon lose its support after their campaigners received the rewards they announced that they are adding more token to rewards to the pool but there are impossible conditions, investors should not trust this project because of their character.
I was shocked to see my total earnings for participating in IQ cash campaign was less than $3 for almost two months this is absolutely discouraging despite all the media hype that ushered the promotion of the token it was a complete shit I was even surprised to see hunters promoting them for another round, irrespective of numbers of tokens added to the campaign I don't think the project will see the light of the day of course investor will be discourage and skeptical of the project.
4192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am looking for a Broker similar to SimpleFX on: September 13, 2020, 03:51:08 PM
Dear community,

I am looking for a broker similar to SimpleFX which accepts crypto and preferably no KYC procedure,
(Also high leverage on Stock trading)

Feel free to post your ref link and I will sign up using it

Thanks in advance!

You can as well state or share the reasons why you are not using SimpleFx whether you have bad experiences with them this will be like an eye opener to any new trader that might want to start using them for trading.
You should also be aware that non regulated brokers are highly risky trading with and always beware of taking the risk of depositing with such a broker.
You can try fxchoice, they are also similar to SimpleFX I don't know much about their KYC I believe they are regulated and a good option.

4193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: September 13, 2020, 02:24:13 PM
Although Liverpool beat Leeds It is a good start for both clubs!! Leeds managed to score 3 goals in the match, I think this club will have many victories. As for Liverpool, it will work to achieve results similar to last season. Cool
Liverpool won but its matter of worry for them as they have 3 goals from opponent in very first game os new season mean they need to do some hard workin this department otherwise they are gone have some serious trouble against big teams in coming matches after watching this first match I am feeling they are not near to win again in this season.
I said this earlier that It will be difficult for Liverpool to defend their EPL title this season, a lot of team will try to improve on their performances Leeds were very impressive yesterday they really capitalized on Liverpool defence by scoring a whooping three goals against the highly rated defence line of Liverpool, obviously that defence needs a lot of improvement else they will concede many goals when they play an attacking team like Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea or Arsenal.
4194  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Tanks to $10.4K; ETH Market Dominance at 2020 High on: September 12, 2020, 02:13:43 PM
Recent price drop is an excellent opportunity to get some ethereum. This could be your last chance. I dont think that is a drop down. Probably a long waited correction (market can not just grow all the time). I dont call to buy now, but placing smart buy orders will be wise.
I believed ETH had already dipped or dropped down at $318+ those who bought at that zone are now profitable indeed a great buying opportunity at that zone presently the price stood at $366 maybe heading to $407+ as the next resistance, the pumping had already commenced any pullback or correction again means another buying opportunity had unveil itself although the movement of ETH is subject to the performance of Bitcoin in the market if BTC pumps well ETH will also experience growth.
4195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: September 12, 2020, 10:49:20 AM
Bitcoin is easy to understand for those who understand the nature of money and those who want to learn it. A book is redundant, just one video, it needs to be explained simply, intuitively, and easy to understand.
A cash-only person doesn't care what bitcoin does because he just likes cash and doesn't want to participate in things he doesn't understand.
Its not easy to understand for a layman or newbie except they put in much enthusiasm and courage in learning and understanding it, personally it took some effort and time from my own end to grasp the whole concept of it and how to use it,
A newbie may get discourage initially after reading through Bitcoin Whitepaper, watching some videos and the complexity in mode of transaction, opening of wallets etc however with time and dedication what looks difficult will become easy to understand.
4196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SushiSwap founder returns money and ask for forgiveness 😢 on: September 12, 2020, 09:38:19 AM
Well, he did  a a nice job to return the funds. it shows that he has much trust and faith in his project. he really want to see his project succeed and he needs to lead by example. i think it was a nice decision by the chef. people will believe in him and support him whenever he calls for assistance from the sushi community. NO wonder the token made turn around.
He did well by refunding those monies afterall there are some of fraudulent ones that had absconded with people funds without any trace at least he came out openly to apologizes for his misdeed and mistakes this will bring some credibility and trust in the token no wonder the token had made some pumping this will likely encourage more investors into the project and more buyers will invest in the token.
4197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: September 12, 2020, 05:46:42 AM
The 2020/2021 premier league season starts in about  ~ 25 hours. How exciting Smiley wwll, here's some fixtures I'm looking forward to ahead of the busy weekend:

1. Fulham vs Arsenal
2. Liverpool vs Leeds
3. Tottenham vs Everton.
4. Sheffield Utd vs Wolves
5. Brighton vs Chelsea

Arsenal shown some really strong performances towards the end of last season. Liverpool? It's my team. I know we would have a solid start to the season. Tottenham vs Everton is an interesting fixture to lookout for although both teams has dipped in form. Wolves was one of the contenders for a top 4 slot last season before losing it to a stronger Man Utd side. Chelsea's game is one I'm particularly looking forward to since they seen as one of the title contenders this season considering their squad has been bolstered significantly over the course of the transfer market. I'm curious to see how they fair with all the artillery support Cheesy

Anybody else noticed how both Manchester clubs are excluded from round 1 fixtures happening this weekend?
I believe Chelsea will perform well this season after bolstering their squad with some quality calibers of players, Liverpool will have a tough time defending their EPL title this season, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and maybe Arsenal will also up their games to give Liverpool a run of their money,
Everton also made some good signings to boast their team as usual Mourinho will  want prove some of his critic wrong by ensuring that Tottenham defeats Everton in today that will indeed makes the fixture very interesting and entertaining to watch.
The newcomer Leeds will also have a point to prove that their promotion to EPL was not a fluke thus Liverpool should watch out.
4198  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Legit trading courses on: September 10, 2020, 07:46:49 PM
It may still be better to try it yourself, learn how to trade cryptocurrency and, with the help of the demo version, practice and gain experience on the exchange. at least some YouTube channels provide detailed cryptocurrency trading videos that can be used as a basis for learning.
It good to read and learn the basis of how to trade cryptocurrencies watching those videos is the best bet and an added advantage which will help you to put what you had learnt into practice because when it comes to real trading its a different ball game, you have to deal with fear, emotion and psychology that is why its advisable to practice well via demo or stimulation after consistent profit making you can switch to real trading.
4199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: September 10, 2020, 04:14:28 PM
Chelsea are building a really good team. I think with so many new faces though it’s going to be difficult to gel & become a real cohesive unit straight away. It’s going to take them a while to peak, plus I’m not sure how good Lampard is as a manager. He has spent a massive amount so he will be expected to deliver results straight away. I think they will finish 3rd.
That's right, Chelsea are building a better team than last season...
If last season, Chelsea only finished in 4th position, this season Chelsea must be able to enter the top 3. I read in the sports news, the amount that Chelsea spend to buy some players this season is 200 million pounds.
It believe its going to take some time before the team cohesiveness begins to give result, the entire squad is fused with some new sets of good players in almost the positions and department the Manager Lampard has a lot of work to do tin putting things on the track before the team can yield good result, EPL will be very competitive in this new season, 'to whom much is given much is expected' with this huge spending the club wouldn't expect any grade less than top three and perhaps wining FA or League Cup.
4200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is not easy to make money in cryptocurrency on: September 10, 2020, 06:05:13 AM
If you are a newbie then crypto is a very dangerous place for you. You need to understand who not to trust first. Also no risk of no rewards in business. So think it as a business and gain more experience. You can make a good amount of money from crypto after that.
Absolutely, without good knowledge and experience, you shouldn't make money in crypto. That's first thing first and therefore you have to shift your focus from earning to towards the learning. When you get some experience and knowledge about the crypto market then you will start seeing things more clearly.
If you got enough experience then you can all out in trading knowing the fact of high risk you will be extra careful on buying and selling at trade but always remind yourself not to get too greedy as newbies always do. Remember to make profit rather then making a loss.
There is no clear short-cut to becoming a successful trader gaining the require experience is the key to make profit consistently while taking money management as key factor also contribute to it.
Greediness and getting to get rich quick has lead to a colossal loss of funds by some newbies who just wanted to trade fast and make money quickly not mindful of the risk involved in trading cryptocurrencies while getting rekted at the end.
