what's a good pool to mine at? I started with karmacoin.info but it died, then I went to karma.hashstrike.com and it died. Any recommendations?
http://karm.multi-pool.eu/Best of the bunch. They are already at 25% of the current hashrate and they have proven unwilling to help spread the hash power to other pools in the past. I'd pick any other pool before I'd pick that one. I personally do not trust them because of their previous unwillingness to help karma... anyway that is just like my opinion, man. make up your own mind.
Why we don't help karma?
We are not a pool, unlike many others, who came on karma only now, when it is convenient.
We are on karma from the beginning and we have always supported and helped.
We were asked to close the ringup and we said no to help users.

Say what you like about this pool but It was my first pool from Launch and it is still my pool today - Only ever switched once when there was a server problem but now they have a backup stratum port and have not gone down since. 1% Fee and they work 24/7 - plain and simple. If they hold too much of the nethash in the eyes of some then perhaps the other pools need to outdo them, either with lower fees or better service. |

Expecting price to go up as LTC goes down - A lot of people won't be happy selling LTC for USD or BTC at such a low price - they are much more likely to invest in an LTC traded coin without a BTC pairing that will go up in price. Karma is about the only one.

That sell order at 180 was just a little too tasty to resist haha I've seen the potential of KARMA when it gets going now - people don't realise just how few coins lie between this price and 500 Litoshi - We watch BTC whales buy and sell 30,40, even 50 Bitcoins worth of coins at a time in other markets - when even ONE of those whales comes here to invest in Karma - as they will given the last weeks activity - the price has no where to go but up. Apart from a few panic sellers today the coin has held up very well, there just isn't enough people willing to sell at these prices for us to stay here very long.
If a LTC whale spots that 900 LTC sell wall at 300...watch out lol If that wall were to be bought we would hit 600 Litoshi in an hour, 1000 Litoshi in a day. That has to be one of the largest bags out there up for grabs and you can be damn sure he wont sell his new coins below what he paid for em.
EDIT: Also, a BTC pairing will rescue us from the ailing Litecoin. A double win!

KARM is holding up really well - even though I bought at 246 - I'm not worried here. BTC and LTC have crashed hard in teh last 4 hours, always seems to result in people selling off Alts rather than transfering BTC or LTC to them.
KARM probably wont go much lower than this, its too damn hard to mine for one. I expect 500 Litoshi and a BTC pairing within the next 7 days. This and VRC are my two picks for undervalued fortunate-makers this year.

A whale is giving us the middle finger with that sell wall on 16,000. Completely bogged down the sell order book with his fake orders. Just takes one big fella to teach him a lesson he wont forget. That's a lot of VRC up for grabs at a VERY low price. Normally you'd have to buy everything atleast 2-5,000 Satoshi up the book to get a chunk of coins that large....

Hello CIV friends. Every thing is working bad with this coin. I just realized that CryptoAlTeX the exchange where I banked the CIV coins I got when this coin was launched is down. I have lost more than 51000 CIV and a small amount ob BTC left after I got CIV. No one of the developers or the developer have notified us any. It is sad to lose money especially when people were very motivated and trusted in this coin (CIV). I have written to CryptoALTeX trying to get my CIV coins and they replied me CIV is dead. In case CryptoALTeX gave me back my CIV COINS how can I save them if you guys never launched a qt wallet. Is there a person who can tell me where or how I can save my CIV coins in case CryptoALTex give me back them? I am so disappointed and sad about this.     Sorry to hear that friend - If its any consolation the coins are completely worthless. The dev screwed us all out of our hard earned money and ran off - TWICE! |

So upset I had to sell my 57 mill karma a few months back to pay some bills. I got $157 when I sold and at current prices I'd be valued at $2,000! Damn bills why do you have to get in the way! Although I have been slowly building back up my portfolio since then by buying when I can, just now it's getting harder If it is any consolation I could very easily be sitting on at least 500 million more Karma right now if I didn't make a few rash trades. Decisions will either appear to be wrong in the short term or appear to be wrong in the long term no matter what you do (buy, sell, hold or even not invest more) because the market will keep moving, even if you buy and the price goes up you could have always bought more. When your trade is clearly wrong (in hindsight) realistically you are more right than the people that have never held any Karma because you had a go.  Chargin. How many coins do you currently hold? Sounds like someone may have sold a little too soon Don't worry, we have all been there, gotta just let it go and look at what tomorrow brings. I had 175 Million snuffed out while I slept at 49 and above a few weeks ago (staggered my coins thinking a rogue buy order might snap a few Million up and I would be able to buy back more cheaper) - ended up getting fucked...HARD. lol That's life though. Will buy back a small amount when the dump occurs and sell when it on the pump when it gets the BTC pairing. Mind you - I suppose realistically I shouldn't be too hard on myself, even if it hadn't sold for 49~ and I held for another three days I probably would sold for 80 something Litoshi at some point, then definitely in the 120s not believing my luck lol Just like Bitcoin - the only people who win are those you just don't touch their coins - ever. haha Not being able to touch the coins for a while is a very valid reason to buy Karmashares. Any news guys? I reckon we could copy a lot of great ideas from Karmacoin - that coin is a rags to riches story right now - Went from 35 Satoshi, to 1 Sat, to being relegated to the Litecoin market, and now since March it has gone from 15 Litoshi to today 265 Litoshi LOL
We have fewer coins than Karma and faster block times - I spent months in that community - I know what they did and more importantly HOW they went from zero to hero.
If the devs are keen to hear the ideas and the way they went about them PM me. I have a substantial portion of FAIL and really want this thing to succeed as long term investment. It certainly can, but it needs a good shove to get going.

 Manipulation to keep the price down is still happening. Someone is desperate to keep the price under 1600 - so much so that they would sell at 15,800 rather than 16,196 even though buyers are prepared to pay the higher price not a minute earlier. This is when you want to be buying if you haven't already, or holding - A coin will typically 'break out' when this behavior is evident, the person holding the coin down low cannot do so for ever and when his supply dries up their is no resistance. EDIT: Both DRK and XC have stopped going up and are now on a slow decline down - it will pick up pace as the cheap VRC is snapped up. I suspect a lot of the orders on our sell side are people who have gone to sleep thinking it would crumble - take advantage of that, their bad judgement is our bread and butter. CK, I'm curious if you have any thoughts on that other coin that's one letter away from this one, VRT. Vertcoin is not one I have followed closely I'm afraid - It would be dishonest of me to give anyone an opinion either way |
