Damn I preferred it when PoS rewards were .99 Solaris! Still this is OK for now ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Likewise, was happy to get some good amount of XLR in a day or two of staking but progress is a must for the good of the community of Solaris as a whole!

oh wow 95% masternodes is there even a point of mining this lol
Exactly! Another MN coin with neoscrypt algorithm, 95% MN rewards indicating pre-sale of said amount of MNs and after ten MNs are sold for over 1 BTC or so, the project will be abandon by the Devs. Rinse and repeat with a new coin name and make tens of BTC in a week.

I have my bets on Ethereum all the way. See, Bitcoin, as the first of its kind, proved to be an amazing example of the new technology it relied on Blockchain. Ethereum has taken that concept to a whole new level and as the number of practical day-to-day use of Ethereum Blockchain increases, thus Ethereum winning the race in the long run.

Hey what's the problem/issue with the staking rewards? I'm on old wallet and staking seems ok at the moment? What's the staking reward we're meant to be getting? Thanks!
The reward structure after the block number 263996 is 20% Block reward for POS Staking and 80% Block Reward for Master node. If budget proposal is active, 15% for staking, 75% for master node and 10% for budget system. Read more here: https://medium.com/@viscolex/mandatory-update-2-7-0-0-and-official-statement-6831d94a6044

go scam somebody else you scammer
lol wtf He is correct and you know that. Only people who invest in this kind of Ponzi schemes are the people who are unaware of this stuff. Whether it is cloud mining or profit sharing mining, are all scams or near to it.

With Ethereum blockchain being in use in the mainstream market where countries and organizations are using it for various purposes is a win for ETH in a long run. The prices will definitely recover in the long run and break its previous records, not to mention that Ethereum is the backbone of so many smart contract tokens.

Thank you all fudsters because I might have opportunities to buy cheaper Solaris. Just my hope, so please take it easy.
Price will stabilize after the current problems are rectified with the wallet and the rewards. Price will re-bound pretty soon. Managed to get some XLR for good prices.

Intense Coin based on CryptoNight algorithm faced a 51% attack and they have already advanced their fork date. It was no question that it was the doing of ASICs. I think its better for other coins based on this algorithm to fork as soon as possible and kick the ASICs out of the network. anyone here experience problem with import from paper wallet? anyone know how to fix it? ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) What kind of issues are you facing?
|
|
|
Appreciate the update! Anyway, that's why I freakin hate ASICs. Do we really need to even guess that this was the doing of the ASIC miners? We already know. Centralization, 51% attacks, bad business practices and what not. Happy to see the fork happening finally!

Me too, give them time to fix. Its a shame that this had to happen right when PoS started. I still have full confidence in the dev team to get this sorted out like they have always done in a timely manner. We just need to all be patient while the dev team work on a fix which I hope isn't too long from now.
It is good to hear official statement from you about current situation of Solaris network. I hope Al things will be fixed soon. Dear users,
We are aware that the blockchain is experiencing some difficulties at generating new blocks due to the switch from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake, and is currently stuck at block 259679.
We are working on a fix that will not require to update your wallets. Please bare with us while we resolve these issues.
Apologies about any inconveniences caused.
so now cant be minable solaris? pow is stopped now is just pos? Correct. Solaris is now complete POS consensus with Masternodes after the removal of POW consensus at block No. 259201.

Blockchain moved on ? My wallet reports block 259683 at this very moment.
Read some previous posts in this thread. The blockchain is still stuck at 259679 but the fix for this will follow up soon. Don't worry!

hello can i have a seedNodes list ... i can't sync my wallet thanks in advance for reply
There is no list to put in. If you're not able to sync, it's likely a firewall or corrupted DB. Either open up the firewall ports or delete the database directory to let it start over. ok thanks .. think wifi connection problem .. on direct lan cable no problem to sync .. thanks for help Appreciate your replies, was struggling with blockchain sync for hours and it was updating around 10 blocks every five seconds. Connected LAN Cable and done with the sync in half and hour.

Is anyone else having issues downloading a wallet? I've tried the win and linux versions and keep getting network errors when I try to download
The blockchain sync takes loads of time. I tried using an official wallet but ended up with a light version connected to a remote node where I can control the seed and keys of my wallet. (Using cake wallet for iOS)

When does ETH will switch to POS with Casper ?
when is the POS?and my 3gb mining card will end in what month?
There is no official ETA at the moment for POS consensus implementation in the ETH blockchain. As for 3GB DAG limit. I'm afraid it's very near now. Like a month if you're using Linux. People mining using 3GB GPUs are already facing issues with DAG file limit in Windows.

Hey for some reason since about 2 days ago my wallet stopped being able to sync, it gets to 3 hours behind and it won't go any further. I DL the latest wallet from the github, does anyone know what they issue could be?
Thanks
Best to backup your wallet.dat. Delete all the files and the blockchain data, Re-sync using latest wallet version and import backup file. This should do the fix.

Andy, do we need a separate wallet address for staking coins in the future? As coin collector said, we are receiving the rewards for MN on the same address as masternode is running on. Can we let the rewards one the same address for staking or send them to a separate address?
You can use you masternode address for staking. There is no isssues with that. The amount of 1000 coins will be always locked and will not participate in your staking volume but the coins that you earned via MN rewards can contribute for staking. You'll receive your staking rewards at the masternode address too.

It's just the start of organic growth for cryptos. I'm pretty sure, slowly but steadily, cryptos will break last year's record by the end of this year.

Why is this project unique?
Solaris project is not unique, but it is a good one. Pow (with xevan algorithm, ASIC-resistant one), PoS. Masternode, Zerocoin protocol (Will be officially activated in April), txbit.io (Solaris own exchange), and more things (you can check in its roadmap - link in the OP). The roadmap doesn't mention when will XLR signature event take place. Do you hear something news? I can see there are a bunch of supporters now wearing Solaris sig. The start of the Signature campaign was announced by the Dev in the previous posts a few pages back. You can go to this link for more info : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3251310.0

Bitcoin, maybe. Altcoins? Oh yeah. I'm more bullish towards alt-coins as many of them serve a particular function integrating blockchain technology. I know, Bitcoin is the first one of its kind but tech of alt-coins are the show of the crypto where they can be integrated in everyone's life and digital security.
