421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I kept USDT on: February 19, 2020, 11:37:23 PM
Whenever I get stucked with Usdt when trading I always remember myself what happened in 2018 when bitcoin was trading @ 19k and in February 2018 it goes down to 9k, even in January 2019 bitcoin was trading at 3,500$, My point here is there is time for everything in crypto space, Lack of patience is what's affecting many and also fear of missing out, even if bitcoin hit 50k today alas it will shrink in value sooner or later, bitcoin is volatile, its left for you to choose the best time to buy, as for me, what I care most about is turning 0.5btc to 1BTC

For traders, it is best to leave your crypto assets in USDT for reasons of your financial safety and also to ensure stability in the case of the capital or acrued profit. it is safer to leave you funds in USDT when you are considering your trade wins in dollar value as against when you are considering your trade wins in terms of Bitcoin profits.  The Satoshi remains constant but for the volatility in price, it can never be the exact same dollar value it was as at time of win.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Check Liquidity Before you invest on: February 18, 2020, 11:36:14 PM
It seems like altcoin is having a good pump lately, many of the shitcoin has started to gain 100%  Grin
That's good and bad both to be honest. For them who have invested a lot of money in 2018 ATH, it's good for them but for newbie, this shitcoin may be destructive to your crypto journey unless you become very smart while investing.

One term I would like you to introduce is- "Liquidity"

I don't want to go in details here since the goal is to make you alert about low liquidity.

Liquidity is simple term refers to liquid your crypto asset into fiat or it can be BTC too. Since, most of the times we trade with BTC, I will go with BTC here.

High liquidity- You can sell your coin anytime as much coin you want, the market has enough buyer to buy your coin.
Low liquidity- There are no enough buyer to buy your coin.

You can check this easily in exchange. Just visit the market for a coin and check the buy and sell orders and the amount. If there are low buy orders despite a high sell order, this means you can barely liquidate your coins there.

SO, when you are going to invest in a coin, check the liquidity of that coin for a certain period. Otherwise, don't invest. Also, before depositing big amount in exchanges, check if there has enough buyer at your desired price to buy your coin. Scam exchange can attract you by pumping a certain coin in their exchange and once someone deposits a big amount, they scam.

The altcoin market is more complex then you can ever think of. There are thousands of ways of scamming you which you can never imagine, even after being scam, you can't realize that it was a scam. Before invest, be smart enough to learn the tactics and save yourself.

its a welcome advice both to the newbies and those who have existed in the space for a while but have limited information as regarding the liquidation of tokenised platforms most importantly exchanges that come up these days with so much promises and they don't consider liquidity to be the challenge facing the entire exchanger space of the technology.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOU need to Stop using YOUTUBE! come and check this new platform! on: February 18, 2020, 11:31:45 PM
the content development industry has really me its match when it comes to the crypto space as loads of platforms now offer to even pay per view depending on the terms. I think, this is indeed  a revolution and I am proud to be associated with it. Nice one by the team and more updates on the list of decentralized content platform.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 💩 We are now in the “shitcoin” season? 💩 on: February 18, 2020, 11:28:46 PM
i think it isn't really a season to tag and allocate to a particular coin because, the season is meant for everycoin that has its roots on the blockchain system, properly structured and right on track for any technological innovation coming up. Coins that have their structures currently ongoing development still thrive and i don't seem to see any issues with that.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: We want true Decentralization in crypto but we use Centralized exchanges! on: February 17, 2020, 08:29:20 PM
Sometimes I feel very bad that why we are being so hypocrite nowadays. Decentralized exchanges are being shut down because of a lack of investors and fund. Forkdelta asked 1000 USD fund to continue the exchange, just think about their condition! Because of our ignorance, expert devs are not coming with great decentralized exchange!  Where all the centralized exchanges are getting attention from us and that why they are becoming over volumed! I think this is happening because of us! We need to be changed to make a better, decentralized crypto world. Once Bitcoin had no value, we the people gave it this value, let's bring back that decentralization again, supporting decentralized exchange can be the first step. What do you say about it, guys? Leave your valuable opinion.

in my opinion, decentralization can not exist in entirety, there has to be a control measure to regulate things at a particular level or region in the space. Although, we complain about the regulations from SEC and other financial regulatory agencies but in reality, investors funds have to be protected. Massive adoption of projects can also eliminate, to an extent, the measure of centralization by regulatory authorities, that is when it is truely peer-to-peer.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why exchange coins moving up.. on: February 17, 2020, 08:13:17 PM
investing in xchange token is more than considering the roadmap o the excahange and also the timeline, it is even more than the liquidity the exchange has, these cases have been noted to be undeniable in the example of Bittrex exchange that has enough liquidity but then, still it has challenges with innovation and considering the dimension of the technology and how to solve the challenges as they arise because every solution provided has in store a new challenge and that is what the Binance exchange holds that makes it a step ahead of others.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH could reach $440 if bullish on: February 17, 2020, 08:07:46 PM
ETH is witnessing a massive pump this year and hopefully I wish it to continue, if the bulls continue to reach the next level resistance it may $440. However it is important to remember this is just an indicator,  I believe it has the capability to reach this value by the end of this year.
https://u.today/ethereum-eth-price-could-reach-440-if-bullish-momentum-persists-market-analyst-edward-moya?amp=1

The bullrun by bitcin has given great rise in value to loads of other altcoins and that also includes Ethereum, besides the bullrun from bitcoin, Ethereum is also rolling out an Ethereum 2.0 which tends to solve loads of other challenges that has rocked the blockchain over time. The launch of the Ethereum 2.0 will in no doubt also give ethereum a bullrun and i see $1000 bullrun, so $440 is just the begining for Buterin's innovation.

For ever reward, a risk was once taken. The numerous people buying into bitcoin now seem to understand a few things about the digital technological currency. yes, it is highly volatile and yes its not guaranteed what it will stand as, an asset or a store of vale but the truth is that if you can invest in bitcoin then you should also have the believe inthe technology and what it brings. but alwyas know that your investment is adviced to be with spare money so you don't get to be moved at whatever waves or tides it comes with.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about bounties on: February 15, 2020, 11:08:36 PM
To all newbies or new comers, here are few advice for you guys if you want to start promoting bounties

1. Many bounties won't pay
Its a real fact that some might not want to accept for one reason or the other, new projects aren't that attractive to investors anymore so be ready for the worst.

2. Bounties are still Profitable
Ignore whatever bounty hunters are saying, yes many projects aren't paying but still some are paying, experience of a bounty hunter is different from one another, some bounty hunters still find it hard to learn from their mistakes

Remember that even good projects that looks promising can still fail but here is what I want you to hold on to, a single bounty project can cover for all your losses, what I meant is 1 project can give you biggest profits even when you've promoted 10 projects that gives nothing, this is why its called BOUNTY.

very true.

The best is yet to come for hunters, though the information is sufficient enough to keep a newbie bounty hunter going but it still needs to be a practical experience to better have an understanding. A bounty can pay you rewards that can cover a whole empire of bounties you have campaigned for, just be very selective with the bounty you help with promotions and ask questions for clarifications.
430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it correction time? Market down by 8% on: February 15, 2020, 11:05:07 PM
So far the pump has been steady and good. We've seen Bitcoin over $10K and Ethereum went up from $145 to $288, highest this year so far. Currently at $262 and falling.

The market cap just took a really nice plunge averaging 8% loss. Currently at $289B and red across the board.

Is price correction on the way or just short sellers playing their game?

PS. Sorry for extra large images

It is responding to price action trading strategy i believe, If the buyers have boought to the ten thousand dollar mark and a little over and then the market sellers decide to place seel orders in their numbers, you will see the price going down, although the buyers still exists but in a much lesser quantity thereby giving the sellers more dominace in the market space and that is a possible cause of the decline in price of bitcoin.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Traders be careful on: February 14, 2020, 11:12:09 AM
The bull run is the most appreciated time for crypto currency investors and trader's

But i am shocked after the little bull run that pushed up bitcoin, etherum anf other token prices, people are starting to offer signal services, ttadr signals etc

Suddenly some set of people turned theirself to analyst.
i would advice you stick to your trade patterns or strategies and avoid this desperate signal peddlers.

NB: This is basically my thoughts this morning, perhaps you feel its a wrong motive from me?
let me know what you feel about it.

Trading is guided from two information, the Fundamental and the Technical analysis. The Fundamental is driven by the global occurences around the currency space while the Technical is read off the chart. Signals can come from either of both but must be considered from the Technical in the absence of the fundamental. those technical are read off the chart and that can be said to be a valid signal but if the fundamental comes and overides it, it is already a fundemntal knowledge on trading that fundamental analysis is always the most upheld amongst the both of them.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: February 14, 2020, 11:05:59 AM
Yes, that's what bounties these days make us. They show us big big rewards on their spreadsheets but the real values of those rewards they offer us are sometimes not even up to $5 on the market. I feel bounty hunters are only being used as baits by project owners to catch their investors virtually for free. What do you think guys ?

i think on the reverse. it is not out of point to say that the tokens are almost worth nothing but from a closer look, you will see the obvious. Firstly, token prices gets reduces below ICO prices, unlike 2019 and 2018 when it used to be on the increase after ICO and even though there is a decrease, it wouldn't exceed a 20 - 30% decrease. Secondly, the market prices of things aren't always the same as there are fluctuations in bitcoin price.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fake freewallet mails, Beware on: February 14, 2020, 11:00:36 AM
SO, recently, those who don't consider technology  as an innovation that will move the globe forward, rather a means of extorting money from innocent and well meaning technocrats have started looking towards the fraudulent part of the technological space. I will advice everyone to always confirm the sender of the emails before clicking any link in the email, that is if there is need to do so
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Litecoin break it's all time high? on: February 13, 2020, 09:49:08 AM
Do you think LTC will break it's ATH of $345 during this bull run? I would love to hear your opinions!   Smiley

i think Charlee lee's project is a great one for investors and also gives traders the avenue to amass resources cryptographically but its all time high was during the era when bitcoin did its own All time high. I do not see Litecoin breaking its All time high any time soon as its reference point, which is bitcoin, is yet to hit that mark again, but if any new innovation comes from litecoin project and/or partnership deals are struck then that might just be a major reason for it to break the all time high too.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing does not have to wait long on: February 13, 2020, 09:44:46 AM
what are your goals by investing? yes I think everyone wants to benefit from investment and trade. given the market situation is not yet fully stable, I'm sure you can still benefit from them.
I mean investing does not have to wait long, you can sell it at any time, when you see your coins above the initial capital price.

if you don't do that, you will starve!

you call it an investment while loads of other people call it a skill that needs money to profit from. If you decide to invest in a project then you should have expectations of that project else its just you deploying your skill set to profit you, whether it be a bull or bear season. but i consider some projects worthy of my investment on a long term and when i want to trade i just hit the exchanger with sufficient liquidity and make some money using the skill set.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As a Bounty hunter, don't expect too much on: February 13, 2020, 12:11:30 AM
Often timw, i have seen lots of Bounty hunters complain about inability to sell their earned rewards simply because it dumped massively and got de listed or wasted away or died.

But I feel otherwise, some Bounty hunters expect too much from project they worked for and got few tokens, so instead of taking profits, they hold and end up earning nothing, then they claim the project is scam.

Stop working for free
Don't expect too much profits from projects.

NB: Taking profits does not literally mean dumping tokens, for examples, i earned 4,500,000 cyfm then worth over 200$
Today it worths less than 10$.

Always dyor

Before the bounty community got crowded with loads of people. We had projects paying people tokens that had value and were not dumped but either held onto for a while or sold at near ICO price and that made the bounty hunting business juicy and lucrative and also attracted other participants to join, but the new participants who joined the bounty campaigns only to make money as they had heard and they didn't understand the way and manner in which tokenomics works and how to handle tokens even after they have been paid. They rush off to the market and dump the tooken and go back feeling underpaid and almost same as someone who worked for free. They should understand that these dumped tokens are actually someone's project and needs to be valued as it will equally be valuable in their own wallets.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Ripple (XRP) will rise to moon. on: February 12, 2020, 01:52:34 PM
Ripple has proven itself over the years of been strong and resilient. it has current affiliations or partnership with institutions that are of high reputations and it has stood  the taste off time. it is amongst one  of the oldest coins that exists and still continues to make marks in its own space of finance. i consider  ripple a relevant token as it has use cases bothered around finance. The selling off of 1.2b ripple by the co=founder has no long term negative impact on ripple but considering the total circulation of ripple, i can only say ripple will rise but if it will rise to the moon, I am yet to find out.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2020 be ETH's biggest year yet? on: February 12, 2020, 01:39:10 PM
Firstly, Ethereum has over the years hown its strenght in its Samrt contract innovation and as it gained the first mover advantage, it has attraccted loads of project in its platform and its new POS algorithm that will work alongside POW is kind of a new development to the ethereum team, i am yet to fully get the picture of how they are going to handle this technologically but i know its going to attract an increase in the price of ethereum, more like a compensation for the hard work by the team. A good one there i must confess and Kudos to them this year 2020 and beyond.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2020 be bearish as well? on: February 12, 2020, 11:01:22 AM
Firstly, All Altcoins somehow have their equivalent in a satoshi value which is finally Bitcoin and therefore they have some sort of connection with Bitcoin. If they pump of Bitcoin due to the halving is of great effect to the altcoin project then i see it also affecting the prrice of such Altcoin but if not then its the other way round. And again, the implementation of project roadmaps also has great impact of an altcoin price and if it happens coincidentally during the halving period, it could also be termed as trailing the bitcoin pump.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project's website is asking private keys of the holders. on: February 11, 2020, 10:05:48 PM

If the project will ask its holders of the token to copy-paste their private key in order to send  tokens, would you look at this as a fair project that the team won't be looking into the private keys of its users?  They even have a video tutorial on how to decrypt private key from the config file of their wallet that was installed in the phone. I'm not sure if this is something I would trust when private keys are suppose to be just for private.

Ever seen such project before where before you can send a token to another wallet, you will have to fill your private key first?

if i clearly understand what the word private means. It is pertaining to a particular person,  not to be shared with any second or third party.   A private key is just for a singular person and not for any other person to have access to. If the above said is true then, no website can actually act under any legal guise to get you to expose your private key to them. except for extentional apps like Metamask and other likes, I do not see the need for giving out private keys.
