Close but no cigar for @arallmuus, winner has 12 correct picks Tongue You got 100 fame points from me though, which is just as good Cool And even if you won it, you would have shared it with gazillions of people, so maybe not that hard to stomach this way Smiley

Flamengo plays 17th placed Coritiba next Saturday.....sure home win for me Grin
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 16, 2020, 12:01:04 AM
Terrible coaching. Bad bad game!

Hehe, Pedersen does this all the time and I kind of like it, because I think it has value, but at that point it was really a bad decision with no urgency at all Grin

-

Looks like I will lose all my bets for today. Panthers were only good for one quarter and Bridgewater really must be the most QB boring all-time. One can also feel, that he is still kind of scared after his terrible inury.
Steelers show no mercy with Bengals and I don't believe Seattly can make a comeback from being 13-23 down early in Q4.

Nice game by Alex Smith today, too bad they lost it in the end with a 59yd FG by Prater as time expired Tongue
423  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Betnomi – Nations League Predictor – 1 BTC main prize on: November 15, 2020, 11:40:48 PM
Than we have 3 guys who picked upsets for Norway game, and in ideal world they would be sharing 100$ prize among 9 guys so we decided to award them as well:
babygun - 12$
tyKiwanuka - 12$
Mamesso - 12$

Congratulations to you all. Everyone has been successfully credited to their Betnomi account with their respective winnings.

Thanks a lot Trofo & betnomi, received Smiley I got 12 Euro instead of 12$, not sure, if this was by mistake (?).

Does the buddy transfer not yet work ? Wanted to send 50% of my winnings to @bahagia93, but I get an error message. I think if I get something for picking the draw in ROM-NOR, then he should get something as well for picking Romania win Grin

424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 15, 2020, 01:07:28 PM
@Tyki : sorry Tyk It seems I had X on Chile vs Peru instead of 1

Fixed it, thanks.

So we have leea-1334 with 7 and then arallmuus, buwaytress, mitchr4 and myself with 6 correct. mitchr4 and me can only win 150mBTC max, since we have the exact same remaining picks Cheesy

leea-1334 has some not-so-common picks remaining (NED draw, ITA draw), which could mean Jackpot or going back to the middle of the pack. And we shouldn't forget about the guys with 5 correct ones so far as well, since there are still some games to be played and if you get all of them correct.....

No leaderboard at all is really annoying, but at least one guy with 8 (or even more) seems likely.

425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 15, 2020, 12:55:37 PM
Whats up with all those late games, only 5 early games Tongue

Panthers ML @3.30
Carolina is a bit Jekyll and Hyde in regards to home/away performance. As said earlier, I like what the Panthers are doing recently and these odds are too high in a divisional matchup. You would expect the Bucs to bounce back big time in this one after getting humiliated by the Saints last week. With a gun to my head, I would pick TB, but 2.50-ish for Panthers would be more reasonable, so value for me at these odds I get.

Seahawks ML @2.30
Had to check, if Wilson got sick over night, but nope, he is playing. Still undecided about the Rams this season, their last game/loss @Dolphins was a bit unlucky with basically nothing going their way. This will be their first real test after playing lots of mediocre teams lately and doing a bit so and so in these. I trust the Seahawks more to grind this out and would have expected the SEA odds to be lower than 2 max. Probably not a lot of value, but this will be a good game, so have to have some bet^^

Bengals ML @3.60
Steelers are due for a loss imo; they are winning, but it's not super convincing to me and the Bengals do very good for their standards imo. They lost a lot of close ones, which is kind of expected with a rookie at QB. This could be a blowout by the Steelers, but my gut feeling tells me, that CIN will be able to keep it close till the end.
Big Ben has been cleared from Covid-list and will play tonight.

-

There are some other bets I like, but not sure, if I will play any of these: Giants ML @2.80, GB over 30.5 TT @1.91, Texans ML @2.75, Bills ML @2.15.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: November 15, 2020, 12:06:50 PM
My money goes on Serbia today @2.40. It's a bit hard to judge how these teams will do after the Thursday night drama, which was wonderful for Hungary, but devastating for Serbia. I guess the Hungarians had some good party and might still be a bit hungover from the festivities. Serbia probably can't bother less with this game, but they have more to play for imo looking at the standings. They need at least one point out of this (better would be three, but this also depends on Turkey-Russia result earlier) to avoid relegation to League C. So despite still being disappointed with not qualifying for Euro 2021, they should have a little more motivation to get a good result out of this one. And there is no better way to stomach a tough loss than to win your next game, even if it helps just a tiny bit.

Hungary are in a very comfortable situation. One point will guarantee their stay in League B, but they still can promote as well; I just don't see them being very competitive today though. They can afford a loss, since they will play Turkey at home in last round and a draw will be enough to avoid relegation - if Turkey loses to Russia, they are safe anyway. So they can take this game against Serbia easy (or easier) and keep on partying afterwards again.
427  Local / Announcements (Deutsch) / Soccer Manager Elite ($SMC) on: November 15, 2020, 11:49:54 AM

428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: November 14, 2020, 02:34:50 PM
Andrei Yarmolenko, Viktor Tsigankov, Viktor Kovalenko and Sergei Sidorchuk. these are the four players who tested positive yesterday  Roll Eyes
That is a solid tip!  Shocked Three of these players are usually in the starting XI, so it's actually a big blow for Ukraine...guess i'm going Germany asian handicap in my ticket, -2.0 at 2.03 odds looking pretty good

It's not yet clear, if this game will be played at all. Whole Ukraine team and staff were tested this noon and another test will be done this afternoon. Not the best preparation for this match.

But this is madness Cheesy They try to play this game as scheduled at all costs - a Nations League game ! Normal people would get sent home for 2 weeks after having had contact with infected persons, but here you try to move mountains to let them play a game of football with no meaning.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 14, 2020, 12:58:56 PM
Anyway, yes, I am a new player for Sportsbet in terms of MultiMaster, and I support Tottenham Hotspurs. Do not mock me;)
Welcome! Don't worry, no one will mock you here.

Uh, I don't want any Tottenham fans in here Grin Jk, welcome to the party. We talked about you the other week, when you won the MM - you stole the win from me, but gratz, was surprised you had the Flamengo X as well Shocked

Welcome also to @Turquinito Smiley

Here is the table for this week (and the public one):

Consensus found for Brazil (already won) and Germany (they will win for sure^^). No one picked wins for SUI/BIH/ICE and rightfully so, since I don't see any of these teams winning. BEL vs ENG seems pretty open, we have 5-5-5 there Cheesy Another MM, where all 15 picks are unique, no users have the exact same picks. @big_daddy's entry is not valid, but I still kept it in the table.

Good start for JanpriX, buwaytress, mitchr4 and leea-1334 with 3/3 so far, well done.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 13, 2020, 06:19:09 PM
If anyone is saying the players themselves are tanking, then they are fools.

I think there is one scenario, when the players are actually likely to tank or not giving their best effort and that is when the coach has lost the locker room and players want to have him gone. This is maybe more common in soccer, but I wouldn't rule out that these things also exist in NFL. Probably no active tanking, but under the given circumstances you can't give 100% and you don't bother about it, you are just not motivated to go over the limit for that coach. I guess everyone knows this feeling from their own job at times. But you can never prove tanking anyway.....
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2021 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifiers! on: November 13, 2020, 04:30:53 PM
damn! i forgot Hungary was going to be in Group F 😲

That Group F is really brutal compared to the other groups. Nice for Hungary that they qualified, but looks like they will only be cannon fodder in this one (famous last words....).

Group D looks interesting with the Battle of Britain and always dangerous Croats. Group C though Roll Eyes If NED fails to qualify for KO stages from that group, then goodbye dutch football.

For the fun of it, I'll play a 2/4 system with all matches going to penalties:

Serbia - Scotland @7.00
Georgia - North Macedonia @5.00
Hungary - Iceland @6.00
Northern Ireland - Slovakia @5.00

And a parlay of these for odds of @1050 Cheesy

Although I didn't get anything in return, this wasn't the worst bet of my life Grin With a bit more of luck NIR-SVK could have gone to penalties and then 7*5=@35 would have resulted in a nice profit. HUN-ICE wasn't far away from extra time and then a penalty shootout is always possible. I would play that again Smiley
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 13, 2020, 04:01:10 PM
That’s mine MM https://sportsbet.io/sharebetslip/a63c4220-4d11-4be0-bcf2-b8f23053fe98

I picked lot draws, and that’s a sign

If am not mistaken, you missed the Chile-Peru game in your combo and it also says "14" on top:

So better hurry up and make a new bet^^ You picked 4 draws, which is it not that much; it's well in the average numbers for those of us, who are not the draw-doesn't-exist-in-MM kind of punters Smiley
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 13, 2020, 01:54:38 AM
Here are my picks, lets see what Covid-lineups we will see with the players coming together from all over the world Wink

Colombia - Uruguay
Chile - Peru
Brazil - Venezuela
Santos - Internacional DRAW
Sweden - Croatia
Germany - Ukraine
Portugal - France DRAW
Switzerland - Spain DRAW
Palmeiras - Fluminense
Flamengo - Atlético Goianiense
Turkey - Russia
Netherlands - Bosnia & Herzegovina
Denmark - Iceland
Italy - Poland
Belgium - England

Apart from the BRA1 games, TUR-RUS, SWE-CRO and BEL-ENG are super hard to call imo.

Here is the MM Week 46 table, if anyone needs an overview what were the picks thus far to make better choices Cheesy

Received the free bet from sportsbet.io for the last participation of the multimaster but lost it right away.

Did you go all-in with it ? Grin Which bet was it ?
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 12, 2020, 01:49:32 PM
Its not tanking its just they have a bad team.

They do, but with fielding 3rd stringers, you can't build a team and have a somewhat good foundation for when/if Lawrence arrives, it's not like this is their last season and they will cease operations afterwards. Obviously tanking is nothing the NFL, media and fans will accept, so you have to do it through the back-door.

As for this Flacco pass, you don't tell him, "throw the ball deep into double coverage on next play", you just tell him, we don't want to win this game, take care of that.

I always remember the "suck for Luck" season from the Colts some years ago. They had their last game @Jags and Jags were priced around 1.50-ish, which was huge value imo, because there was no way the Colts would win this - they just didn't want to, because they would have lost their #1 pick to the Rams then. Colts lost all their games until week 14, but they were always playing their starters iirc. Beginning week 15 it was safe to win some games and they finished 2-14 then. During all those games they built or kept alive a foundation, which would help Luck the next season. Winning against TEN and HOU in week15/16 showed that the team is still intact and the quality is there, they just didn't want to win before. They finished 11-5 next season. A team that is just plain bad, won't go from 2-14 to 11-5 just like that with a rookie QB.

Now the Jets are way worse than the Colts have ever been, but you can't put a team full of scrubs and out of sync next to Lawrence. Then there is no need to even draft him.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 12, 2020, 12:45:51 PM
You'd think that they were tanking but the players do not purposely lose games.  Their careers are on the line, the players that screw up have a better chance of being cut or when they hit free agency not get picked up.

For the NYJ-NE game, I think this was a tanking job. It's not only about the players - where I agree they are not losing on purpose - but there are also the coaches, GM's and owners, who have their own agenda, which the players have to follow. (Coaches are also slaves of GM/owners in the end)

As morvillz7z wrote, that bomb Flacco threw with no urgency at all - isn't there the possibility he had to do it, because he was told to do so ? What I can imagine, is that you play hard for three quarters to see how good you really are and further improve looking at the future and building a team. Jets showed themselves they are capable of beating NE, but to not lose the #1 pick, they tanked Q4 then. And this was ordered by GM/owners, where the coaches/players have no choice then but to follow, because the ones who pay have the final say.

I know this a bold statement/theory, but it's what I would do, if I was super high on Trevor Lawrence as a GM/owner. He will fail at the Jets or the Jets will fail to develop him properly, but you have to try at least^^
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Prop Bets - Where to bet them? on: November 12, 2020, 12:00:30 PM
Do you bet player props or props in general?
Having luck and making money or is it more of a fun thing?

I rarely do, because it's even more time-consuming than just analyzing the ML/HC/totals markets and you even need some more in-depth knowledge, have to look for some "insider" information and last but not least have to understand the game way better. If you are willing to put in the work, then you can find loads of value in these markets, but you won't be able to stake a lot in general, because bookies know they tend to give away value (more value than they normally like) by offering these markets.

I do know a punter who specializes in NFL player props and he is doing really good, with a huge yield for NFL standards.

My Sportsbook right now is stake.com, could any of you recommend a book that has a good selection of props for NFL Games?

You will have a hard time finding a lot in crypto books, as you already witnessed. Bet365 is the go-to place for traditional bookmakers for these bets and as a fiat-crypto-hybrid bookmaker I would recommend to take a look at betonline.ag.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2021 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifiers! on: November 12, 2020, 11:30:18 AM
Hehe, you rarely see people recommending unders in gambling forums and now everyone is suddenly a fan of them Cheesy But I agree these games all look very under-ish and the odds reflect that, there is just so much at stake for these teams. For SRB-SCO and NIR-SVK I would even predict 0-0's Roll Eyes Don't know much about Georgia/North Macedonia (it's funny to have one of these teams in Euro 2021) and the only match where I can imagine an over is Hungary vs Iceland.

For the fun of it, I'll play a 2/4 system with all matches going to penalties:

Serbia - Scotland @7.00
Georgia - North Macedonia @5.00
Hungary - Iceland @6.00
Northern Ireland - Slovakia @5.00

And a parlay of these for odds of @1050 Cheesy
438  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: PEAQ - first tokenization built on IOTA (nicht mehr IOTA, sondern eigener DAG) on: November 11, 2020, 08:34:56 PM

439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 11, 2020, 07:32:53 PM
... a team that had 15 players missing the trip to Germany because of a COVID19 infection. What a coincidence ...

It's a joke anway that basically anyone in the world is ordered to stay at home whenever possible and these footballers are still travelling the world all the time. Domestic leagues still running is fine, but CL, EL and especially Nations League still going on, is a bit strange. When the big money is involved, health comes only second Wink

And then you even have international friendlies being played, lol. I just read today, that Benjamin Henrichs was complaining with too many matches, too few time to rest etc. And I am asking myself, if not during a pandemic like this, when will the schedules be thinned out ?! I know.....money......but this is a sick business (no pun intended).
