Ab einem Zeitpunkt X könnte es übrigens wirklich Sinn manchen, die Geräte gar nicht erst anzunehmen um
die EUSt. nicht bezahlen zu müssen. Es gibt hier eine stille Reserve an Geld   - leider sehr gering  
und wegen Abwicklung als Firma evt. kompliziert.

Da schläft man mal und über Nacht hat der Thread massiv vom Thema Refund in eine andere Richtung verändert.
Ich versuche ja immer, das Thema Candoo&BFL-Gruppenkauf neutral zu betrachten.
Andererseits liebe ich es auch, das System (um welches es sich auch immer handelt) auszutricksen.
Kennt noch jemand den LH Trick mit den Bahnfahrten Frankfurt-Stuttgart? Egal...
Airberlin und REWE sind auch lustig.

Wer (mehrere) Bitcoin-Miner selbst betreibt, muss sich um einen 24h Bereitschaftsdienst kümmern.
Das gilt noch viel mehr, wenn man einen Gruppenkauf organisiert. Das Geschrei der Anleger, wenn ein Miner
(oder alle, Internet/Sicherung vom Haus/Wohnung) am Freitag Abend ausfällt und man gerade im Wochenende-Urlaub
ist möchte ich nicht sehen.
(OK, die Popcorn Freaks wollen es natürlich sehen/lesen   )
Dass Candoo in einer Gruppe (3 ?) gearbeitet hat, ist also erstmal nicht so verwerflich, wie es manche darstellen.

Die Idee, mit vielen Fake-Kleinanlegern das Interesse von Gross-Anlegern zu ködern, klingt plausibel.
Wenn man selbst öffentlich angibt, an seinem eigenen Gruppen-Kauf beteiligt zu sein, schafft das
aber das selbe Vertrauen.

Die fast panische Angst, seine Kontonummer/Anschrift an Candoo zu melden, legt es nahe, dass sich manche (viele)
Käufer nur für den Kauf einen Zweit-Account zugelegt haben. Aktivitäten (d.h. Beobachtung) gibt es dann natürlich
nur vom Haupt-Account. Auch kann man das Forum lesen, ohne eingeloggt zu sein.

Diese ganze Diskussion ist für das Thema Refund jedoch unerheblich.
Es wird interessant, wenn man eine Anzeige wegen (versuchtem) Betrug vor hat.

Den Kurs durch Strohmänner auf Bitfunder zu manipulieren (Scheinkäufe in kleinen Mengen) halte ich auch für
denkbar. Zuman man über Dividenden, Postings etc. ein Mittel zur Manipulation in der Hand hat.

Ich lasse mich dann jetzt mal überraschen, wie das alles hier weiter geht.

Das erzählst du seit Wochen.
Und niemand hat hier im Forum jemals eine EUR Zahlung auf sein Konto bestätigt.
Mein Angebot, um dem Mahnbescheid zu entgehen, hast du ja gelesen. Da gibt es auch jetzt
keine Diskussionen mehr mit mir.

Es ist vermutlich wirklich die Adresse, wo er anzutreffen ist, gemeldet ist er dort aber nicht.
Die Adresse von seinem Personalausweis ist immer noch die richtige für rechtliche Schritte.

Ich habe die komplette Adresse entfernt, nur die letzte Ziffer der Hausnummer drin gelassen.
Jeder, mit einem berechtigten Interesse, sollte damit erkennen, dass candoo nicht umgemeldet ist!
Offiziele Dokumente sollten daher nicht an die auf dem Vertrag angegebene Adresse
geschickt werden.
Das unzensierte Dokument kann von Akka angefordert werden.



Mein Mahnbescheid wird am Wochenende beantragt.

Damit sich die Flut der E-Mails im Rahmen hält:

Habe Candoo meine Bankverbindung und Anschrift mitgeteilt.
Es passierte viele Wochen lang nichts.
Auf ein öffentliches Posting von mir kam eine öffentliche Antwort von Candoo: Ob ich Teilzahlung (50% jetzt) in BTC zum MtGox Preis akzeptieren würde.
Genau diese Kombination (mit dem MtGox Preis) habe ich abgelehnt, ihm Bitfunder oder bitcoin.de als Kurs angeboten und für den Fall
die Teilzahlung akzeptiert.
Es passierte nichts.

Letzte Mahnung als Einschreiben verschickt - wurde abgeholt. Keine Reaktion.
Habe dann eine Melderegisterauskunft gestellt:


Warte auf Antwort um dann einen Mahnbescheid zu beantragen.

Might be unrelated to 0.95 but after upgrading I have a wrong time on cgminer's start time:

cgminer version 3.4.0 - Started: [2000-01-05 09:05:03]

Of course this mixes up average performance and WU per minute.
The Unix time was correct when I checked (date). I think the timing between NTP (Internet time
synchronisation) and startup of cgminer did bring up this minor problem.
Please note: It will not have an effect on your miner performance. It's just a cosmetic issue what
might bring up wrong statistics!
I "d/z" zeroed out the statistics within cgminer to fix this.

BTW: I would be sooo rich if the startup time would be correct

I created a topic at the KnC forum.

I can confirm this. For a Saturn 128 was not enough, 256 gave better performance.
I did not try other values, did not even know that other values than 2^x would be OK.

I did play around a little bit with BertMod and additional fans.



It looks ugly, but I managed to get the temperature of the left (hotter) ASIC down from 49C to 46C-45.5C:
6 dead (sometimes even more) -> 2 dead cores, sometimes 1/0 dead cores.  

The right one did cool down from 43.5C to 41.5C.
But that one had never dead cores.

I did not manage to find out why the left ASIC is warmer than the right one.

Putting the case on (and not using the additional fans) drives up the temperature again.

Thanks for the info about that bertmod.bin file being just a tar.gz!
I felt much better only running that perl script.

Hint to the development group: bring out a pure ASCII version!

So my home Saturn looks OK, I will check why there is a temperature and performance difference.



I have no access to the slower Saturn hosted at KnC. So I currently can not say anything about
the temperature and disabled cores about that one.

Remember, it makes only sense for Saturns. Those flaps/wings (how would a native speaker call them?)
make much sense for a Jupiter!

I don't want to complain too much as I am a DAY1 customer that did receive one Saturn at home and another one
online hashing at the KnC datacenter. I also received my (first ?) bonus/compensation from KnC.
But I also thought I post this comparision (as reported by Bitminter):

My Saturn unit at home runs 0.93, case closed (but optimized the flaps/wings inside the case = bent them to not disturb the airflow)
and uses 270W (at 230V).

Update: 1h Bitminter reported speed: 247Gh/s

I am a DAY1 hosting customer (Saturn). I did not receive an email about the hosting.
As I did read about people having received their login credentials some hours ago, I called KnC.
Spoke to the guy with the Englisch accent. He asked for my order number, looked up something and
told me that a colleague would send out my login credentials within 5 minutes.

I received the e-mail after some minutes.

Logged in to the portal. My miner had been pre-configured to use the KnC pool.

I reconfigured it to use Bitminter and Slush as backup pool (yeah! the interface did allow for backup pools!) and after some minutes I saw traffic arriving at Bitminter.

Short term bitminter stats did show 220,204,95,240,224Gh/s. (Update: later seen 271Gh as well)
It looks like my miner at home is running at about >20Gh/s faster.

Be careful with such an advice. You need to know a little bit about networking etc. or you might fail.
Just be sure to know:

What installation do you have now?
Specially with (TV) cable Internet access you might be in trouble:

Do you really have a cable MODEM or do you have a cable ROUTER?
You need access informations (like username/password) and many cable providers do not hand out these.
Even when you just have a cable MODEM, you must buy a WiFi router that works with this modem.
Same is true for *DSL.
