421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if another altcoin surpasses BTC in value? on: October 02, 2017, 01:40:50 PM
What will you do if some altcoin (XMR or ETH for example surpasses the value of BTC, either in market cap or by the price of a token each? Will you sell your BTC to buy the more "valuable" coin, or continue using and holding BTC? Also, what do you think are the chances that it could happen? I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions.
None of the altcoin that has been appeared in this forum or in this field of industry surpasses the value of bitcoin, still Ethereum so far was the second to the bitcoin digital currency.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: October 02, 2017, 12:29:42 PM
Does anyone have any idea how many people are using gold as a store of value vs btc?  And how long do you think until we have the same user Base as holders of gold?
Bitcoin and Gold should not be comparable because they are different in character and competence, though they are similar in nature which  they have both value, but in bitcoin they can also be monetized so much faster and it's easy to earn money compared to Gold because gold is for only rich people who are able to earn a large amount of money,  unlike in bitcoins even when it's hard for a person to have a great deal of money, still they have chances to have a big profit into bitcoin.
423  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: October 02, 2017, 11:48:18 AM
Hello All,

What you think is the best investment to gain steady income in btc without actively doing anything?
So no trading/gambling/loaning etc.

Steady income more likely to be 'small & secure' than 'big & risky'.

Thanks,
BR Oinas

to provide a definite income and do not do anything I think investing in bitcoin mining.

You're right on that things, but investing on bitcoin mining would be take a long time before ROI of yours be happens. Then most often the investors who invested in bitcoin mining are getting loss, due to investing it was too risky so much.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: why myetherwallet? on: October 02, 2017, 11:00:05 AM
Hi,
I am new to this and have a fundamental question: Why do ICOs ask us to send ETH using myetherwallet?
Why can't I send them directly from kraken.com?
Thanks in advance

Well, you supposed to be thankful to that ICO because myetherwallet is a very safe one to use as ethereum wallet address compare you are using eth from the exchange. It is their rules too when you join to their campaign. And I think you don't need to worry anyhow about it.

427  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Let's talk about Alt Coins on: September 27, 2017, 02:37:03 PM
428  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best coin to buy today? on: September 27, 2017, 01:43:03 PM
What is the best coin to buy today?  So many good coins.. sometimes I have hard time thinking what's the best coin to buy.
Of course still bitcoin is the best among them all in cyrptocurrency. Then Ethereum is the next one, Maid, Xem, Waves. Then if you want to buy an altcoin you must choose coins that always in the top 20 listed in the coinmarketcap.
429  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoin with BTC ? on: September 27, 2017, 12:44:46 PM

430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no role in real world on: September 27, 2017, 11:44:14 AM
BTC has no role to play in the real world affairs. People who try to create such a role are confused between asset and currency. The design itself only considers pure virtual activity with no touch with real world. People also mistake the buzz words such as "peer-to-peer", "border-less", "decentralised" etc as the problems to be solved. But sadly these are not real problems. The insignificant problems (speed and fees) are hardly enough to sell and these problems are going away anyway. I have no respect to Nakamoto because he ignored the most important element (govt and authorities) in social situation and still want to sell it as some solution to social situations. Hardly any country has regulatory framework that deals with btc.

The problems are rooted in the philosophy of crypto, not in the code. So, the beauty of blockchain tech is irrelevant for btc. It is like selling a bad app by showing how great Android is.

1) Bitcoin does not provide controlled visibility, because it doesn't recognise the existence of governments. Now if you make changes to provide visibility to authorities, ALL privacy is gone. If you don't, then ALL visibility is gone.

2) Fees are rooted in the design. Whatever consensus you invent for a public blockchain, you can't escape rewarding the work of validating transactions. So zero fees are not possible.

Public blockchains sacrifice all good qualities of a business application for the sake of trust-less environment which is not even actually a problem to solve in many contexts. Also they make it extremely costly to run small amount of code or small storage. Who wants their business code to be validated by all arbitrary people in the world?

Most ICOs are sharing economy concepts similar to uber model. Lack of a responsible intermediary and costs will make these "innovations" to fail, if they ever have to touch real-world activities.

Bulk of the blockchain activity will move to business collaborations which might not even look like a blockchain. Crypto coins will be used in most business blockchains, but these coins will be value-less tokens and very specific to the business or institutional activity.
I beg to disagreed in this statement of yours, your not really deeper in bitcoin as well. Bitcoin helped a lot of people all around the world, also many of them became rich after a years here in this industry because of holding bitcoin in a long term. Aside from each everyone of this community users of bitcoin are getting much higher than we expected.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin source of money laundering on: September 27, 2017, 10:48:53 AM
how bitcoin can be used as a source of money laundering in politically corrupt countries like pakistan, india etc

Bitcoin I think can be used as a source of money laundering if the person itself is corrupt or greedy. And if He/She have an idea of how to use bitcoin in legal and illegal things activity that person is abusing bitcoin though it is an open source.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: September 27, 2017, 08:09:46 AM
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?
This topic was being posted since August 02, 2017 and now September 27, 2017 and bitcoin value so far was 3900$ something, which is shows only that bitcoin still exist and surviving because of the users and their demand too.
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: September 27, 2017, 07:04:31 AM
I know a lot of people have different reason why the love and embrace bitcoin.
For me the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the thought of being able to send coins to anybody in any part of the word, no third party, no regulation(specific amount), no bullshit is mind blowing.

Bitcoin impresses me so much because of its unique features which is Decentralization, with it none of the government sector officials can't able to control bitcoin.

436  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: how to convince people about bitcoin on: September 26, 2017, 07:46:09 AM

437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is myetherwallet.com on: September 26, 2017, 07:28:45 AM
hi guys, I'm guys wondering what is myetherwallet.com, they say that it isn't a wallet? but can we use it as wallet to store our ETH?
and the next question is, if we have token, how can we convert it to ETH or BTH using myetherwallet.com?
You don't need to get worry actually, even you have any token in your MEW you can convert it into eth by simply proceeding in any Trading exchange platform that has Eth then if your token in MEW is also listed in the exchange platform you can send your token in the Platform then once has been send it will automatically converted into your Eth balance of course.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Authorship (ATS) token is a scam on: September 26, 2017, 07:16:48 AM
As far as I know ATS is more on referral schemes, which in the sight of many others here it is like a Ponzi scheme, But depending on their perception about it. So I guess with your concern try to send inbox message to find out what it is happened to you.
439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as salary for a regular job? on: September 20, 2017, 03:13:32 PM
Would you accept bitcoin as your salary in your profession, especially if you work in other country?

For me yes I will accept bitcoin because we can exchange it in our local currency.

If I am employee, then I had an idea about in bitcoin. I think I will accept it as my salary, because bitcoin is volatile which means my salary can possibly increase if bitcoin rises up and even it drops I will still hold it more as well.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: September 20, 2017, 03:06:50 PM
