The second half was really efficient for Atalanta and their comeback was delightful. But the general performance is still very bad despite this 2-1 victory. Because Bologna were still able to find more chances than them to score more goals. Maybe things would have been more different if Atalanta played against a bigger team.
Considering that there is a need for a big improvement in the team. This is important for being consistent. They have been very unsuccessful for many weeks but it is up to them to start fixing the problems by maintaining a winning streak.
Atalanta stopped its negative results and resumed winning again which is important for the team. These three points made them join Lazio and Roma and three points away from Inter in the fourth place. In my opinion, this was one of the most impressive comebacks I have ever seen in recent history. As for Atalanta, I have to say they started playing really well in the second half of the game. In the first half, they had taken out the lessons they had learned from the first half in order to implement the changes that they needed to make in the second half. Wout Weghorst is like he has discovered his skills once again after joining Besiktas on loan. He is very productive by not only scoring goals but also making assists. 8 goals and 4 assists are pretty impressive statistics in 16 games in the Turkish Super League. Of course he isn't playing at a level even near the Premier League's now. But it is still good for him because this is increasing his self-confidence once again. Because he wasn't a bad striker in the past also.
His times with Wolfsburg are still in my mind. Especially the 2020/21 season in the Bundesliga was amazing for him as he was the third most scorer with 20 goals. Burnley wasn't the right place for him and let's see how he will perform at Manchester United if he goes there. This transfer would push Rashford and Martial to play better also I guess.
Wout Weghorst is playing well. He is currently being able to show good performance. But I think we have to remember that this is the Turkish league. And probably as soon as he gets back to the English Premier League, he will start performing somewhat badly once again. A lot of DEXs are trying to grow and provide services like CEX, but they are having many difficulties, and I don't think that can be solved in the next few years. @pakhittheboss honestly I felt that team India got lucky, and they deserved to lose this match because they put up a really small total on such a small ground. Furthermore while Mavi did bowl well, but I’m concerned because of his pace he can be beaten easily however only time will tell if team India was right to promote him in the T20 format. Important aspect is that the Indian bowlers especially the fast bowlers were able to defend the total and Axar Patel bowled the last over and was able to defend the total. The crucial aspect is that the fast bowlers Shivam Mavi and Umran Malik were able to break partnerships whenever it looked promising. Shivam Mavi is having experience playing in the IPL and hopefully we will see Kamlesh Nagarkoti in the team as well in the future. India won because of excellent bowling. Sri Lanka needed 40 runs in the last 4 overs. They failed to collect it. One of the main reasons for Sri Lanka's defeat was their slow batting. Their collection was only 35 runs in the first 5 overs of the power play. The top order players batted like fools. However, the second match looks to be more competitive. |

The reason why I'm saying this is that I think Zidane can be even a much better choice than Xavi for Barcelona. I'm totally aware of the difference between their tactics and strategies. Barcelona's only chance is that United will treat the Europa League as their second priority this season. Given the value of qualifying for the Champions League, this looks like a bigger deal than beating Barcelona. Winning the Europa League also gives a direct ticket to the Champions League but it is less "guaranteed" as there is a lot of randomness in the knockout games.
I think that Barcelona has the better chances here but the fact that they are directly fighting with Real Madrid to win the La Liga makes it a bit more difficult for them compared to Manchester United which has no title winning objective and it is impossible for them to win the title in the Premier League. Barcelona when compared player by player I think has a better quality and normally should qualify further in the Europa League and be a strong contender to win the Europa League but in these encounters you never know how it might go because it is just a 2 game elimination so it can be anyone's game. I'm not at all sure that in terms of players, Barcelona will be ahead, but it doesn't matter - football is a team game and United look much stronger here. United are more flexible and they are able to play with different opponents using different strategies. I don't follow Barcelona much but their game looks like either stupid ball rolling or crosses on Lewandowski "for good luck" with extremely low efficiency. Is there any chance Xavi will come up with something new? I highly doubt it. I also think that Manchester United is stronger and more organized than Barcelona. The Barcelona team has many star players. But the bonding between the players is still not good enough. Barcelona shared points with the likes of Espanyol in their last La Liga match. It will be very difficult for Barcelona to win against United with such a team. Barcelona still has plenty of time to sort out their internal problems. Hope they can stabilize the team. |

What's wrong with Pakistan batting lineup why don't they make some runs specially lower order, its not that this is a t20 or ODI and they have limited number of balls and time so they have to rush to make runs and got out. This is a Test format and they can take their time to settle on pitch first and make runs slowly .

The weakness of Pakistan's batting line-up is not new. We have been seeing bad batting from Pakistan for a long time. It is only because of bad batting that they cannot produce the expected results against the top tier teams. Badly losing Test series against England only because of bad batting. While the middle order played well against New Zealand, the lower order players performed poorly. I think Pakistan will lose their last wicket in the first 7/8 overs tomorrow. And will be able to collect like 425. |
