Best case scenario...sky is the limit. Imagine if crypto is adopted by all nations as their legal tender...which is a possibility. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Also note that currency is but a small portion of crypto...smart contracts in general is HUGE. Possibility is endless!

every single token dump... is this because BTC is dropping also?? all altcoin drops. what do you think what is the cause of this dumping price.? i can't sell my EQL token because the price is to low. from .0000095 eth it drops to .0000047 eth.. why is this happening??
FUD and weak hands. Several months ago, cryptocurrency got a huge injection of funds. However, those are from new investors who doesn't know much about the crypto volatility. They panic easily (weak hands) and cash out when market start to go down triggering an avalanche. What remains are the ones who understand crypto and those like you who are itching to sell but can't (another form of weak hands). We are in recovery mode now but it will be slower since half of the funds are gone. Crypto need infusion of cash to grow and hopefully this time it will be "organic" and not a sudden surge from a massive group of ignorant investors (like before).

New Partnership Announcement Dear Red Pulse Community, We are excited to announce a partnership with NEON Exchange (NEX), a ground-breaking decentralized trade and payment platform established by a handful of City of Zion (CoZ) co-founders. NEX combines the NEO blockchain with an off-chain matching engine to enable much faster and more complex trades than existing decentralized exchanges. By establishing partnerships in key markets, NEX will be able to provide decentralized fiat gateways, addressing a major pain point in crypto markets today. The NEX payment service enables third-party smart contracts on NEO to send and receive global assets such as NEO and GAS. As part of the partnership, Red Pulse (RPX) will be the first NEP-5 based decentralized application to be included on the platform. NEX will also aim to develop a solution that will be embedded within the Red Pulse platform, allowing for seamless purchasing of RPX using conventional credit cards to directly convert to fiat, and deposit to users' bank accounts using integrators on NEX’s network. This helps our clients using our Red Pulse platform, given that many of our existing and future users, such as finance professionals and industry experts, may not be familiar with cryptocurrencies and face a steep learning curve and slow adoption rate when dealing with cryptocurrency secondary markets. About Red Pulse: Red Pulse is a tokenized research ecosystem for China's economy and capital markets. The company incorporates its own cryptocurrency RPX to facilitate an open and transparent sharing economy forresearch, and is developing a machine learning-based matching engine to connect industry experts with institutions seeking market insights to make better business decisions. Ultimately, Red Pulse aims to solve the problem that we all face today: Information overload. https://www.red-pulse.com About NEX: NEX combines the NEO blockchain with an off-chain matching engine to enable much faster and more complex trades than existing decentralized exchanges. By implementing a series of technologies for decentralized cryptographic trade and payment service, NEX wants to provide natural workflows for developers and intuitive experience for users. https://neonexchange.org

WHY? If you want stable then stay with US dollar ($), or Euro, or invest in bonds, or gold. Why waste your money (paying fees) to buy DAI and TETHER??? I can't believe people actually use these. Granted there are few instances where it is convenient but not the way it is used right now. It is CRAZY! To me, I am in crypto for the gains...if I want to play it "safe" then might as well not be in it.

How about locking-in the value of your crypto portfolio and protect it against drawdowns and volatility. Imagine you can manage your savings in several currencies and chose the most convenient one to you — That’s what a currency basket does. The correlation between the currencies in a basket helps to dampen volatility — a super stable technique.
-Legit- Cryptos I know that work with currency baskets:

Do you know any other?
I think the term is DIVERSIFICATION.

So what's the hold up then? I've been reading about Korean potential for a long time, but so far no ICO's on it and no Koreans buying the shit out of it? I must have missed something important related to this fact ? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Rome wasn't built in a day. If this is your gauge, how long before ETH had an ICO? How about NEO? How about BTC? LOL Lol, I get it but I didn't mean it that way ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . I meant it like, how come Koreans aren't going berserk over it. Everywhere I read that there be a time in the foreseeable future where Koreans will buy massive amounts of ICX. I am curious as why this isn't the case right now....simply a matter of (lack of) adoption? Where were you the past few weeks? All the FUD the decline on BTC (stock market even)....that is why. No need to argue with icon if one of you believe it will rise more then let it the other doesn't believe its okay. We have our own resources of what we are thinking but if incase i will give my very own opinion ICX is still very undervalued think like Ada how many months it goes up and to know more about Icon is very important if you will only know it and visualize. Not arguing, just a discussion...

Over 70% of my PF consists of VEN and ICX. I missed WTC completely and decided to skip PIVX.
Good for you. Those 2 adds up to 30% of mine. It is huge considering I hold 38 coins right now.

I invested in ICX too. Unfortunately missed out on the ICO by a hair.
What I don't get however, is that so many are certain of its success, though the price doesn't seem to be affected much by it. I've seen highs and lows, but it keeps around this level. I agree when people say, undervalued and buy now before you miss your chance. Last couple of days I bought at every chance I had.
People are certain of its success because they look at KRW volume on Coin Market Cap, click on markets and look at where the volume comes from, look at any of the coins in the top ten, EOS, XRP, ADA, Look at 80% of the volume being from South Korea, Do you see how much KRW is moving the crypto market? Thats why people are so certain, because south Korea is going to love their own product. So what's the hold up then? Can anyone here explain me how the cryptomarket works? I have been following the coinmarketcap for months and one thing I observe is when one coin move up almost all coins moves up. Is that a normal thing in crypto? Are coins are dependent to all coins unlike in stock market where one stock is totally independent to others.
Depends. ALL coins are currently pegged on BTC price. Normally when BTC goes up or down the alts follow. However, when BTC does a drastic jump, it can have the negative effect on the alts and they plummet down. This is because everyone is selling their alts to get more BTC. The market performs best when BTC is "stable" or growing "organically". That is when other coins go on their own way and you'll see different gain/loss trends. As for me, I am waiting for the time when all crypto coins/tokens become independent of BTC.

people said diversify so i did.
Diversify INTELLIGENTLY. Do not do it for the sake of diversifying...be smart about it. There are lots of bad coins on that list. I hold 35 coins and we only have 2 coins in common (pivx and xspec). There are a few there I won't mind owning though like nav, phr, cloak...

I made 25% (in BTC) doing basically the same with ICX. It was one of the first to pump and hard too.

|
I hope you made a good choice, when downtrend will over we will see
Posted earlier... I can't lose no matter what now. I've secured my investment already...invested BTC is 100% back and leftover ICX (25%) is pure profit ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

I hate my life so much right now xD Who else bought on ATH? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I made MANY ATH purchases...when... ...ANT/NEO was at $7, again at $15, at $35 ...ICX was $2.17 ...VEN was $0.22 ...etc, I also bought many that is not in their ATH but lost 75% their value. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I do not regret them, never hated myself either when they went lower. Look at the bright future ahead (real or imagined), it is better that way. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I am sure you know the risks of doing such a movement. I would rather keep some of my bitcoins to buy if ICX decrease further or any other altcoin decrease and gives a buying opportunity. It is not a wise strategy keeping all money into one altcoin but as I said I guess you kno these risks, risky movements bring good rewards if it is succesful. Let use wish you will be succesful
Again to clarify...I only used 0.402 BTC not all my BTC. I already hold more ICX before this purchase, I just increased my stake. I also hold about 35 other coins.

I think it is the wrong time to sell when the whole crypto market is dipping. You always have to sell your stuff when the people are euphoric like hell. The best thing you can do now is hold your stuff and wait a little bit.
As posted above...I already got my BTC back and made 25% extra. No matter what, I am already ahead. Despite that, I still read these wrong move, wrong time to sell posts. Wake up people!!!
|
|
|
Also just to clarify that I only used 0.402 BTC... NOT all my BTC.
