421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: April 16, 2024, 11:48:27 AM
5 vs 5 card just announced:

Dubois Vs Hrgovic
Ray Ford vs Nick Ball
Hamzah Sheeraz Vs Austin Williams
Craig Richards Vs Willy Hutchinson
Zhang Vs Wilder

I like how they did this press conference revealing the fighters one by one all masked up so you still have to guess who is there. Dubois Vs Hrgovic & Zhang vs Wilder are great. It could be make or break for those two now. Both need a big win to get them back into the picture.

There was a rumor already about the Zhang vs Wilder being inserted in this fight. And so this press conference make it official. And I do agree, this fight is very much a crossroad for this 2 boxers. Although Zhang has been thought to make it but Parker stop him in his track, and so is Wilder.

Wilder though name has been in the top of this division for many years until that Fury loses and his eventual mental breakdown.

As fans although it could have been late, we wanted to se Wilder vs Joshua as early as 2018-1019 era.

The biggest contribution made by Saudi and Alalshikh to boxing was making the biggest promoters in the world to work together which made these great fights possible. Hopefully, PBC is also willing to offer all its fighters and stop ducking against the best.

Thought Beterbiev vs Bivol card will be fully Matchroom vs Queensberry but it's more like Matchroom vs Queensberry and Top Rank. And there's also Wilder and Zhang inserted. I can see Zhang beating Wilder. Zhang's 2 defeats were also close decisions so he is still mentally sharp and hungry while Wilder has minimal skills unless he lands his haymakers.

Then undefeated and champions Wilder and Joshua could be one of the biggest fight that did not happen. It would've been for the undisputed belts. But Wilder and PBC were always trying to cherry pick and avoided the best. Wilder has never been in the top of the division.

That is the thing with PBC, perhaps it was there pride right now that they don't what to have their boxers in the Middle East. Even Tank Davis says something negative about the fight going into Saudi.

And how powerful a broker HE Alalshikh is, he was able to bring this two rivals, who would have thought that we can see Matchroom and Queensberry and even Top Rank at the same fight in the same room? Only HE Alalshikh can do that and we could say that everyone listens when money talks. And for Warren, Hearn and Arum, it's all business and so they step aside their personal difference.
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling or selling? on: April 16, 2024, 12:22:12 AM
I think those who bought BTC last 2 or 3 years ago I'm sure they are going to HODL than selling it right now because Blockhalving is not done yet there is a big potential that this is not the last new ATH for BTC.
There is a big change after block halving because the supply will be reduced by half. If demand remains constant and supply drops, expect a price increase.

To me, I have a small BTC that I still holding but I already exchanged a few to take a profit and to use it for trading. I hold only a small amount but I still want to add more BTC, my source should be on my trading skills I'm not an expert I am trying my luck and maybe I can multiply my Bitcoin by trading.
You can’t hold assurance to that that they will not take some time of selling their coins most especially if they think they have already gained sufficient amount of profits. Most likely, they will prefer to sell at some point and hold some of their coins. Hodling like 2-3 years is not that easy, so if they are seeing valuable profits right at the current price, I guess you can’t stop them from selling if they really want to.

However, if they have seen this already coming that bitcoin halving will leave a huge impact to the price of bitcoin, I guess they will also think a thousand times if they will sell today or just be more patient to wait for bitcoin halving before they decide to start selling their coins.

It's not easy but it can be done, and now that we are almost in the halving, then there's no point for those who have bought in the 2022 era to sold it, even when we hit a new all time high of $73k, I wouldn't sold it instantly.

Takes time to accumulate and it's a lot of test mentally. But if others can do it, everyone can, you just have to believed in yourself that it can be done. So congrats for the HODLel mentally, we will soon harvest what we sow.
423  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin and global tensions! on: April 16, 2024, 12:00:59 AM
I dont see it by way of the news especially, fighting isnt especially new though the severity of the engagement could be worse and on a trend towards full war.   Everyone knows thats a mistake but it may happen anyway.

I see BTC as taking a pullback that it required, revision of the prices is normal and helpful long term to improve support later on and volume at every price.  If you have a price that was never really traded with any volume it is a hole left as a weakness for the future so despite the appearance now of a sell it does involve some buyers also.

We are below the 50 day average for 3 days now but its not certain we will continue to be negative especially as 62k is a relatively high place with the recent BTC price action.  We remain within the higher range for BTC.  If it just stays here I expect a recovery and resumption of the positive gains.

I will also go with your assumptions.

If we see the price going down way below the $62k threshold, then there is something new that we need to look at like global tensions. But if we look at it, the price is above, at $63k and I think we are all good by now, and maybe there is a recovery, although we are fast approaching halving and so it will have a big impact on the price regardless of the war between Israel and Iran and it's proxies.

425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 15, 2024, 08:20:42 PM
Lakers at 8th, not a bad position to be in, they could beat Pelicans and even finish at 7th as well, going from 9th to there within two games is definitely a big achievement without a doubt. I understand that people may look at it differently, but I do believe that's actually an advantage for Lakers.

Thunder finished first, Nuggets finished second, so anyone who is 7th would be in trouble, I think both Pelicans and Lakers will be aware of that and may not want to win it in the end, if they win it, they are facing Nuggets, if they lose then they will face 9-10th winner too, but at the very least they will face Thunder in that situation. I think it is going to be a very weak spot, Thunder is not that great, they may have finished first, but they lack playoff experience.

I think they will want to salvage their season still regardless of who they are going to face in they move to the playoff. But obviously, it will be the best and 2nd best team in the West. So they should take care of their business first before looking as who will it be.

Same for the Warriors, although they have a good chance as they will be facing the King. Betting odds agree to the majority that they are going to be the favorite. But let's see, Warriors are pump to this kind of games and Steph will be Steph, maybe scoring 30 points or more to carry the team in his back.

427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 13, 2024, 10:36:42 AM
Even coach Rivers has been criticized as well with how he handles the Bucks. And all we all know that he was a replacement coach but is doing worst than Adrian Griffin. And we also notice that to the Lakers as they have Ham, but there's not much of a difference than Frank Vogel stint with the Lakers.

What the Bucks are thinking was the playoffs, they know that they can be in the playoffs but it would be different with having Doc Rivers due to his experience and having won a championship before. Yes, he was criticized but if he can bring the Bucks even in the championship, that will be eliminated by the success he made. I think the management are just willing to gamble, and this coming playoffs is going to be the test that the team should pass, because if they will have an early exit, that would mean Doc Rivers stay aren't gonna last.

Yes, it will be different to have a coach with that experience, but nevertheless, the teams that he had success was with the Boston Celtics. And after that era, he hadn't had teams in the finals and on the contrary, have been choking in the playoff series.

Bucks though has history of firing their coach. Budenholzer give them a ring and Adrian Griffin was doing good until he is replace by Doc Rivers.

Either case, let's see if that gamble will pay off for the Bucks this season. And it all defense on Giannis recovering from that calf injuries he suffer.
428  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The dangers of AI to us as they can be use for crypto stealing malwares on: April 12, 2024, 08:59:40 PM
The most important aspect of this post is the fact that you have helped create a nice form of awareness against malwares of this nature. +1 for your information op. However it is important to note that AI is simply an advancement and plus to modern technological advancements and therefore it is neutral.  Every single AI created has its distinct motive for it's creation . It is this reason or motive of creation that actually determines the use of the AI. If an AI was created to assist in generating malwares to aid hackers during their hacking processes, the creators are to be blamed not the AI since it's role is to obey a certain command .

The fact is that we are just at the verge of AI advancement and subsequently better AI models and types will flood the technological space as time goes on. Therefore as a tech person you should try as much as possible to get updated on malwares and hacks like these to help us level up our security consciousness from time to time.

Yes, at least we are made aware of this kind of trend as this hackers are exploiting everything than they know they can victimized unsuspecting people. Who would have thought about it? And it somewhat late that the investigators have found it out as they could have already defrauded a lot of individuals by downloading it as they want to used this AI technology.

Therefore, we should exercise caution here, and download only from a known source.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 12, 2024, 11:32:07 AM
I feel like Lakers are having a coaching problem, and it is not even about Ham being a good or bad coach, it is about the fact that the team doesn't look like they care about him or listen to him at all. I get that it may not be all that simple to make changes, but you have to realize that we are going to see a lot more changes if they start to respect the coach. Wherever Lebron goes, whichever team he is on, after a while he becomes the coach and that's what I believe we are seeing here again.

In the end, playoffs are always a bit questionable and even the 8th seed could go to finals, we have seen it very recently with Miami for example, so we should not really consider anything done yet, lets see how the playoffs will go.

Yes indeed, Miami make it happen and with how the current selections of those teams that competing in the West side for sure all of them are capable to beat one another, even the play-in teams who will have that hardship to move forward if given a chance they are very much capable, though we know that the defending champ still got an intact cores and they are still have that edge having that experienced from the last season's title.

Yeah, Miami has proven it already last season as they go to the finals but lost to the eventual champion Nuggets. But the team are different now although Butler is still there and so we can't count them out.

In terms of coaching issue, more on the players and how they will play along each others, especially if you have those known stars who act as a main leader, it's tough to control but you need to adjust and play with the flow.

430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: April 12, 2024, 10:30:26 AM
Inoue's team mentioned before that they will take 2 to 3 title defenses and then they might consider moving up again to 126. I am also expecting Inoue to move up in weight next year.
While the match hasn't happened yet, they've got plans already. I guess that they're confident that Inoue is going to win easy against Nery but with that confidence, doesn't mean that they're going to go easy with his training.

However I guess 126 is Inoue's final division as he is already in his early 30s. It will be more risky to continue moving up in weight while fighting bigger and heavier opponents.
That's why he has to do it as soon as possible when he's done with these matches. More title defenses and moving to the next weigh for him to have this undefeated record on history.

It's probably boring on the division that he's in when no one can beat him.

They could really be very confident here, Inoue has the best record in a championship fight and the odds Nery just like the rest of Inoue's opponent is a huge underdog. I think the camp of Inoue is not going to overlook Nery, we have seen him pushing himself in training to the point that sometimes he got injured and have to postponed the fight.

We will see him at 126 lbs, and possible next year. I think he scan still be as competitive to that weight class.

Just a matter of time before he can adapt adding 4 lbs in his small frame.
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 12, 2024, 06:02:11 AM
I will tail with your Pelicans bet @danherbias07.

The Pelicans is a slight underdog here and it's very attractive @1.91. And yes, they really need this win to keep that 6th place and they are riding on a 2 game winning streak, while the King is going to play coming from a lost to OKC.

These two teams both need to win. If I'm not mistaken, they can still make it to the top 6 and not play in the Play-In Tournament. I'm picking the Pelicans for this match because the Sacramento Kings have been losing lately. Well also the Pelicans are 5-5 in their last games. The Pelicans have the highest chance to clinch the playoffs and will not play in the play-in tournament. This battle for playoffs spot for Western conference is very interesting. Good luck on our picks.

And just like that, the Pelicans won the game with a blow out, although they allow the Kings to make a comeback and put down the lead to 12 points, but Zion will have nothing to do with them making the game close.

So him, CJ and Trey Murphy who has a outstanding shooting night specially in the first quarter and establishing their big lead. Celtics losing to the Knicks with Brunson having a big 39 points to lead NYK.
432  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? on: April 11, 2024, 09:37:48 PM
Ive been hearing about situations where someone buys a coin for a certain rate and not quite long after,  the said coin drops in value, or  someone sells his coin for a certain rate and then it appreciates just after.
What's your take on this? Given the period we're in is it buy time or sell time?
When you talk about Bitcoin is often considered a strongest investment option for different ways and buying and selling in a long run is very important in bitcoin. Let take it was the first cryptocurrency and remains the most widely recognized and accepted, giving it greater liquidity and market stability compared to other cryptocurrencies around the crypto space

It's the prime mover, no doubt about it, but it terms of ROI, there could be a lot of altcoins that can give us that. But the problem is that it's hard to find and there is greater risk. As compare to Bitcoin wherein we can accumulate and look for the long term perspective of it.

Bitcoin has a limited supply, with only 21 million coins ever to be mined, which can potentially drive up its value over time due to scarcity. Additionally, Bitcoin is often seen as a store of value and a hedge against inflation, making it attractive to investors seeking to diversify their holdings.me I prefer to hold bitcoin and sell in the long run because it worth all it take to gain from it in a long run.

And with the incoming block halving, the demand will surely go up as the supply is dwindling and be scarce as ever. So for me, it is still buy region even if we are in the $70k'ish. The bull run is incoming, there are still a good chance that we double our money in the next couple of years.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 11, 2024, 08:38:16 PM
To be honest, after seeing what Netflix does and what their narrative is, I would be more surprised if it was streamed on ESPN or any sports channel. There is a partnership between Netflix and Paul's MVP (Most Valuable Promotions). Netflix is sticking to ‘sports-adjacent’ streaming and that's why it is on Netflix, a very good deal for both parties.

By the way, it's kinda funny how Jake Paul turned from a Disney kid to Youtuber and then into a boxer. He is a very smart businessman, a very impressive for his age, he deserves merit for that.

We can say that a boy has grown up into a man. I dont know people hate him so much. He has stopped recording silly movies and content that degrade younger generation, and started promoting sport. For me this is much better (even though he is popularizing violence) than uploading stupidity like 24h challenges or wasting money on silly stuff. I might not support his strategy of building fame based on other people fame, but that is how promotion work today.
People hate him because he is fake, he fights retired boxers and makes himself cool by beating once amazing (now retired) 50 years old boxers. After all of these, he calls himself a professional boxer and in his record he writes down the defeat of legendary names. So, many people think that he is just a cheater, a liar who makes millions of dollars and I personally agree with that because that's true but I always admit that he is a very smart businessman, he is goddamn super in marketing and we can't take that from him but calling himself a boxer is a shame, he never fights professionals.

It's all for the exhibition matches, and for money, and that's why many hard core boxing fans are totally against it. But as time goes by, there could be fans that soften their stance against Jake Paul or any of his exhibition fights as this is the new trend now. So yeah, hate him or love him, he is a smart businessman who turn his popularity and market it so hard that he is one of the biggest now and have a chance to fight the legend Tyson.

@TopTort777 - the only fighter that I know of is Loma, who fought for the world title in his 2nd fight against Salido but lost. But then won his first title in his 3rd fight.

I’m a little bit surprised to see the Celtics lock up Jrue Holiday for the next 4 years for 135 million dollars. I’m not sure how old Jrue is, but that seems like sort of a long deal for an older guy on a team that’s already got 2 young max players. I think the genius management over in Boston might be starting to make mistakes as they struggle to get Taytum a chip.

Yes, it's a big surprise to me as well, and there are fans who says that he is overrated. And I guess they see Derrick White leaving in free agency that's why they lock him for good. But his age though, we really don't know what will happen to him in the next 4 years.

He will be like 37 years after this contract, and probably will retire after that.  Smiley.

I thought that Clippers might upset the Suns and could win even without their big players, as Hyland scores 37 points. But the Suns finally made a push in the last 5 minutes of the game.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Meme" coins are ruining everything on: April 10, 2024, 09:28:02 PM
Yes, crypto will do fine even with meme coins. And I think that there will forever be meme coins. I am not expecting all the memecoins that we see today to keep existing. The truth is that a majority of them will fail, and only the ones that have the capacity to live long will be the ones that will stay. It’s just the same way we have seen so many altcoins come and go over the course of the past years.

If a "meme" coin has strong community backing, it could last for a long time. Dogecoin was once thought to be a failure, only to succeed after it gained the attention of Elon Musk. Now it's hard to believe it'll go away anytime soon. The same could happen with other coins such as Shiba Inu and Pepe. While "meme" coins don't hold any value, they're a great way to learn how crypto works due to their inexpensiveness. You can send money around the world without "breaking the bank" (subject to the Blockchain's network fees).

Crypto newcomers will surely get into "meme" coins before trying out serious project such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. As long as scammers are taken down, there should be nothing to worry about. Who knows what future will "meme" coins have? Cheesy

If you ask me, meme coins aren’t a good start for people who are looking to get into crypto. The great start is Bitcoin. Learning from who created it and why it was created, and then Ethereum and other altcoins, also learning why they were created. People who join crypto today are 99% likely doing it to make money, so if they want to learn how to make money from crypto and they’re starting on a risky ground. That’s dead.

So true, meme coins are not good for starters here, and maybe they got this idea from so called crypto influencers that they can make a lot of money by investing on this meme coins. But that is wrong in the beginning, they should start from Bitcoin or the top altcoins.

I have nothing against those who invest on meme coins, but it's a different risk and I don't have that kind of appetite to begin with. I don't like to take that risk and plunge to meme coin because I did that once and it didn't turn out good with a $1k investment and lost everything.
437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price history during Eid al-Fitr on: April 10, 2024, 03:19:57 PM
There is no correlation, as the Arab and Islamic months are based on the lunar calendar, which differs by about 10 days from the solar calendar aka Gregorian calendar. Therefore, it will always be like setting a variable date and checking the price of Bitcoin. You will not find any correlation, especially in the short term. Bitcoin price changes have always been linked to the four-year cycle, and even this is used to measure the price in the long term.
Why they do really always love on trying out to connect everything to Bitcoins price even on this Eid al-Fitr event or whatever we do have. Well, its not really that a bad thing because any sentiments could really be connected but its true and i do really that agree on what you have said that this is really something that having no correlation or connection no matter what. Even into those past events or dates will really be having no assurance that it would really be making on the same effect or having that impact anytime specially with these events. We've seen price isnt really that moving that much.
Come in mind that even on an ordinary day which Bitcoins price could drop in huge percentage without even knowing on whats the real reason behind it.

This is why this market is always been that unpredictable. This is why its not shocking that people has always have to say.  Cheesy

And that's what I notice too, what I vividly remember is the Chinese Lunar year, maybe it's 2018-2019 that others correlate this festivities and says that the market is going to bounce back because at that time, the price is going down as we are experiencing the bear market already.

Lo and behold, after that, the price didn't go up the way people are expecting. And on the contrary, the prices continuously goes on a downward spiral. So we might conclude that there is no correlation whatsoever. Investors and traders are going to buy (and sell) whenever they want, simply as that.
438  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nextslot.bet - Random Slot Picker on: April 10, 2024, 02:34:00 PM
This is the first time I have seen something like this. I always choose the slots manually by looking into RTP, volatility, free spins mode and some other features. Never thought to play a slots through a random pick. Can you add some more filters on the search option? I would like to see another filter of hit-ratio or volatility of the slots. Some slots game 'Max win' and RTP information showing as unknown on the result. I hope you will work to add those missing information in the future.
I'm curious to know what is this site about, the site is not accessible for me because it gives me 403 Forbidden.
Looking at your comment, it seems that you are able to open this site so you can give some suggestions.
Is this site giving recommendation on what slots to play randomly?
If it is pure random and visitors cant do filter based on some different things as you mentioned, then what's the point?
One more important thing to be added on the filter is about restriction, because most providers has their own country restriction.

Yes, basically that's what this site is all about,

How it works

Not sure which casino slot to try next? Looking for something fresh and exciting? Nextslot randomly selects a game for you from a variety of top-notch providers. Customize the settings to your preferences, and let the tool choose a game at random.

Choose your preferred game providers or leave them all selected by default. Select additional features such as Megaways or Bonus Buy for your next slot adventure. Simply click "Roll" to spin the reels and discover your next favorite game.

Or you can search thru the Providers, currently they have 309 line in the list.

First time to hear this kind of websites for gamblers that will suggest what slot games to play next if you are unsure. Usually this is the case for a slot players because there are so many games. Unless you really stick with your favorite one, but if you want to try something new, then this website can be your go to from time to time.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you feel when you experience violence while gambling on: April 10, 2024, 02:09:48 PM
Have actually been hearing many people saying that they gamble for fun or enterteinment And not for the money , this has also been My perception Towards gambling If not for the small money I often make Sometiemes But this idea changed this evening when i went To a game house To play some betting games.

This evening i actually realized that some people see gambling as a means of livelihood, i Was At a game house today watching some Guys play snooker betting  And their games where actually funny And entertaining till one of the Gamblers lost all his money to his fellow Gambler And he became very violent And started a fight with his colleaque that resulted the attention of the Police Force. The Police arrested everyone including the owner of the betting shop And insisted that we will all bail ourselves with money before we can go home freely .

This idea gave me the impression that some people can be very dangerous as a result of lossing money while gambling And i aslo learnt My lessons today . However, i Dont know If you have actually experienced such things At the betting shops And If yes How do you feel or react At the situation? .

It's bound to happen and I will say it could be the norm of some countries, same here in pool games, huge amount of money in the line, and at the end of the day there could be winners. But what make it dangerous is the people around who trash talk that why most of the time it ended in violence. I'm seen this kind of things happen when I was a little, so curious to watch pool games with money on the line because there are a lot of people in the area.

Usually this happens in not so good places, or like in slums (no offense meant), nothing about just good hand to hand fight in the streets. What I'm afraid of if one of those people who bring knives or a gun and when they lose their beat, they started targeting the other side.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 10, 2024, 05:41:03 AM
A lot of questionable injuries happening at the end of the season suddenly. I think teams are legitimately asking superstars to fake injuries to sit the end of the season now so the team can avoid fines. Did I read that Anthony Davis didn’t play because of a headache? Giannis seemingly is out with a leg cramp? Hmmm…

AD didn't play because he was poke in the eye by Kyle Anderson in their lost to the Wolves, so not sure if that could be considered as head ache or what.

And with that, no AD with the Lakers, the Warriors beat them in their homecourt. But it looks like the Warriors has turn back the clock with a vintage performance, hitting much of their 3's. And Steph and Klay had their rhythm, including Draymond who hit like 4-5 three's in this game.

Not much has change in their position though, Lakers is still 9th and Warriors 10th.
